1/20/2023- So much to do pre grow and over the next 16 days, absolute first order of business is that I have to take down my current Grow---TIMBER-- Then I have a list of things I have to get done in order to be ready to start this grow 1 Feb.
With that said
T - 2 days until start 48 hour Flush
T - 2 days until Start 48 hours of Light
T - 4 days until TIMBER!!!
Items that need to be done before 1 Feb 2023
1. I need to clean the tent out
2. I need to clean the equipment- Proper Sanitization between grows in Hydro is a must!!!
3. I need to get the hole in the ceiling above my tent repaired- For my last grow I had a deep sink installed in my grow room, to make Hydroponics a little bit easier and have a water source in the same room. The seals on the pipes they were installing broke and leaked through the ceiling causing some damage all the way across my grow room, I was already weeks into my grow and couldn't risk them working above my tent and it would have been very awkward positon for them to be working in as well, so have to get this done quickly between chop and germination.
4. I have to install my new light- I was using a Vivosun 4000 and for this grow I am switching up to a Spider-farmer SF 7000.
1/20/23- For this upcoming grow I am working with M/F photo seeds so I ordered 4 Sex determination kits. I recieved my my 4 Sex determination testing kits from Rimrock Analytics today. I will be using these to test my plants at week 2 of Veg so that when/if I take clones I know I am taking them off females. As well as I don't want to accidently pollinate my tent during this grow I am looking for big beautiful buds not seeded buds. :-)
1/24/2023- Harvest of current grow- Started at 2:00pm and finshed wet trim and firt batch into the freeze dryer.
1/25/2023- Next batch into the freeze dryer and cleaning all my equipment for this Grow.
T-1 Day until the workers are supposed to be here to fix the hole in the Grow Room.
T-3 days until I instll my new Gorilla Grow Tent and my New Light Spider Farmer SE-7000 for this grow.
T-7 Days until Start of Germination
1/26/2023- Harvest is done ran through the Freeze dryer and dry tim completed.
1/27/2023- Grow Room repairs completed. Hole is gone Letting the paint dry before I install the new tent.
T-2 days until Install the New Gorilla Grow tent and the new Light
T-3 days until I put the hydro equipment in the new tent
T-5 days until Germination
1/29/2023- Day 0- Final Pre Germination activities
Germination Start T-3 days
The paint on the ceiling was dry and it was time to finish prepping for Germination. I got the following items knocked off my list.
New 4X4 Gorilla Grow Tent is up and ready
New Spider Farmer SE-7000 Light is installed- Thanks Moony Grows for the suggestion and for the Code that got me some money off and free shipping (Moonygrows)!! I turned the lights all the way up to max and set the timer to 18/6 0600-0000. I will keep an eye on the temperature and humidity without my plants and see how hot it gets with the new light.
I put my Hydro system back together and put in 40 gallons of water into it, time to monitor for leaks the next few days.
I Setup my cloning machine for Germination Days 3-11
1/30/2023
let me break down the situation, ROOM in the TENT.. Enough said.. No really I tried putting my exhaust system up in the new tent with my new light, The light is so big corner to corner that it really didn't give me enough room for the lights be be raised, with the exahust hanging the buckets my plants are Starting in are 2 and 1/2 feet off the ground, great for plenty of room for roots but not so great for upwards space for the plant to grow. In a 6' 11 tent with the exauhst in side and hanging that only gave me a little over 4 feet of grow room to play with. My last grow if you saw my diary, anyone could tell I was struggling to keep the buds off the lights. No good, Since space was such an issue I was running my carbon filter inside on the ground but It really needed to be up sucking the heat out not shooting the cool out. With that setup I was sucking air through the filter and pushing it out the tent at a bottom exhaust hole cold out. Wasn't doing me any good for my heat. I was hitting temps of up to 85 degrees. I bought a portable AC unit and have been running it in the grow room to try and keep temps below 85 and I have had to lower the power on my lights during grow also not ideal.. With that said a friend of mine MoonyGrows (Check out his diary) took the time to look at my issue send me a picture of my grow tent setup with detailed instructions on how to suck the air out from the top but putting my filter and fan on top of my tent so no room issue and I am sucking the air out from the top where the heat is instead of pushing the air out from the bottom where the cool is... THANK YOU MoonyGrows For taking the time to help me get this straightened out.. Now I have room and I have the exhausts working right and now my temps with everything at 100% are topping out at 80 this dropped the temp by 5 + degrees at 100% max.
T-2 days until Start of Germination
Prepped my seed tray with humidity dome
Prepped my Rapid Rooter plugs. I Used RO water, and I added a few drops of Hydrogen peroxide to Oxygenate the water. I then PH balanced between 5.7-6.0 the same that they will be getting in the Cloning Machine and when they get to thier final grow pod. I perfere the 5.8x range and I hit 5.84 for these rapid rooters. If you want to see a complete video on the process HowWeedGrow has an amzing video that shows step by step how to do it and explains it better than I ever could including how to plant the seeds. Which I will cover when I get to that step on Wed. https://www.howweedgrow.com/how-germinate-weed-seeds-cannabis-rapid-rooters/
1/31/2023
T-1 day until Germination Start
All set and ready have my Rapid Rooter plugs ready to go have my seeds out.. Have my seed tray warming up tonight. Tomorrow morning right into the Rapid Rooter then strait into the tray. I will spray the dome to start the humidity in there.
2/1/2023
Germination Day!!
Let the games begin!
0600am Put the seeds into the Root Riots. And then put the seeded Root Riots into their first home the Seed tray. I have them under the light 24/7. Sprayed the dome
7:30pm Sprayed the Dome to keep humidity going on the dome.
2/2/2023
Day 1 of Germination
Sprayed the Dome in the morning
Sprayed the Dome in the evening
2/3/2023
Day 2 of Germination
Roots are starting to come out the bottom of the root riot plugs and the heads are slowly popping out of Number 4 just below the surface.
Afternoon- Number 4 has popped up
Evening- Number 3 has popped up as well. Happy Dance!!
2/4/2023
Day 3 - Germination
Surprise Surprise Surprise- all 4 have now poked their heads up.. Happy day!! 100% Germination succeeded.
Now major milestone to track is how many are female and how many are male.
I will take look at the roots this afternoon/evening and see if they have enough root to go into the cloning machine for the next 7 days before they go into their Hydro Pods.
Day 3 - Germination - Evening..
Roots looked good and they were tall enough to make it into the cloning machine.
Now that they are all in the cloning machine I have switched the lighting to veg state 18 on 6 off.
2/5/2023
Day 4 - Germination - Morning
All the Ladies (fingers crossed) looking great stretching nicely and look nice and green, Photo synthesis underway....
UPDATE!! After a very interesting POD cast on FSTS by Dr. Bruce Bugsbee from Utah University, I have shifted my lighting to 24 hours on through seedling and then I am going to shift to 20 hours on the rest of Veg.
2/6/2023
Day 5 - Germination
While Checking on my conditions inside the new tent last night, I found that the Humidity was down to 39 Percent. I added an AquaOasis Cool Mist Humidifier, the reason I selected this humidifier is that I needed one that could be turned on and off utilizing my Inkbird Humidity Controller IHC200 that I have my Pro Breeze Dehumidifier currently running with.
Root structures are starting to get there about 1/4 of an inch.
2/7/2023
Day 6 - Germination
Everything seems on track more roots poking out of each today. They are each getting a little taller as well.
Checked in the evening and number 3 was drooping the Root riot plug on the bottome was dry and the roots were not in the water yet. I raised the water just enough that the longest root that was sticking out is now hitting the water.
2/8/2023
Day 7 - Germination
Everything looked good while checking in on them this morning number 3 is now full up and no droop again.
2/9/2023
Day 8 - Germination
T-2 days until Plant into Forever Pods and we start week 1 of Veg .. :-)
Surprising thing to me is that number 1 and 2 were later in popping then 3 and 4 but the roots are growing longer in 1 and 2.
2/10/2023
Day 9 - Germination
Number 1 and Number 2 are definitely ready for transplant today.. Based on how they were yesterday and where they are today I am hoping by tomorrow 3 and 4 are ready. Today they look to me where 1 and 2 did yesterday.. I really hope 3 and 4 catch up by tomorrow since..
T-1 day until transplant to new/ final home for grow.
Need the roots long enough to have some clay down in the basket to keep the root riot out of the water and only roots in the water..
2/11/2023
Day 10 - Germination
Today they got placed in thier forever Home, 7 days from Sprout and 7 days until Week 1 Start.
PPM- 180 this is water out of the Tap
Temp Water: 70.7
Temp Tent: 77
Humidity: 40% I have a humidifier going 24/7 to try and bring this up.. I also have Humidity Domes on each plant.
2/12/2023
Day 11 - Germination
Sprayed the domes, all are looking good.. Nothing much to do at this phase but Keep monitoring the PH level in the system and making sure they have a comfortable home.
T-6 days until Week 1 start
2/13/2023
Day 12 - Germination
Sprayed the domes, They were looking a little yellow today so I moved the light down to assist. Nothing much to do at this phase but Keep monitoring the PH level in the system and making sure they have a comfortable home.
T-5 days until Week 1 start
2/14/2023
Day 13 - Germination
Sprayed the domes, They were looking a little Florissant yellow today, with what looks like slight burn on the tips, I talked with a fellow grower and we agreed that It was probably that I was drowning them, Yes you can drown you plants even in Hydro, but only early on.. :-) It usually happens with the water being too high, which soaks not only the roots but the medium (root Riot plug in this case). I lowered the water from touching the bottom of the pot to about 1" away. This will probably take 3-4 days to resolve. I will continue my daily monitoring.
T-4 days until Week 1 start
2/15/2023
Day 14 - Germination
Sprayed the domes, continue my daily monitoring they look a little darker green instead of lime green now that I lowered the water levels in the system, so I think that I might have resolved the issue but it will take a few days for recovery to happen.
T-3 days until Week 1 start
2/16/2023
Day 15 - Germination
I looked in on them this morning, 3 and 4 look like they are doing well and recovering nicely. Number 1 not so much it has brown spots on the leaves, this very well can still be a side effect of the overwatering but I decide to go ahead and add Nutes earlier than I was planning just incase. I was going to wait until Saturday but I think intervention is necessary now especially after drowning them early on.
I added 1/2 what I am planning on adding for week 1 start. I also think I am going to adjust my chart to add 1/2 2 days after plant from now on. I don't think it would hurt it to have some Nutes to pull from.
.25ml/Gal Calmag = 12.5ml
1ml/gal GH FloraMicro= 50ml
1ml/gal GH FloraGro = 50ml
1ml/gal GH FloraBloom = 50ml
T-2 days until Week 1 start = I will drain the system and start it over on Saturday with Week 1 Nutes.
2/17/2023
Day 16- Germination
I didn't even want to post today after looking in on them this morning, 3 of the 4 are now showing signs of dronwing.. Brown spots on the leaves, the water levels were still too high.. I drained about another inch out of the tanks.. Will see how quick they recover.. I start week 1 tomorrow and will have to ensure my water levels are at least 1" away from the basket on this round.
2/18/2023
Day 1 of Veg (Day 17 overall)
Germination was a little ruff this run, don't know if I was just over excited for this competition and overfilled the water trying to ensure enough water on the roots, or if this strain was just a little more sensitive then other strains I have run. So Germination I started out by having too much water in my tanks the water was covering the bottom of the baskets and was drowning the plants. I am really glad that I keep a daily log and was able to catch it right away and adjust. The plants Still have brown spots on the lower leaves as well as the tips burned to show the signs as well as they were lime Green.
What I had in the tank:
Gallons = 55 in to get it right at base clay level
4 - 13 gallon Pods
1 - 13 gallon Res
Since I over watered I decided to assist in the recovery by adding Nutes on Day 5 until Week 1 Day 1, I added the following Nutes:
Cal Mag = .25ml/gal = 20ml
GH FLoraMicro = 1ml/gal = 50ml
GH FloraGro = 1ml/gal = 50ml
GH FloraBloom= 1ml/gal = 50ml
PH DOWN= 100ml = PH=5.85
Target PPM= 200-300 = PPM= 280
I was still having some slight issues and not seeing the root growth that I would like so I drained around 10 gallons from the tank brining it to around 45 gallons. I didn't have to re-adjust the Nutes or the PH they both stayed stable.
Today I drained the system completely and reset it for Week 1 through Week 3. Since my system is so big I am able to run it for 14 days in between changes. I was really happy to see that the roots have started growing down from the basket so the drain and Nutes definitely helped. The Color is coming in more forest green and the Lime green is going away.
I added 40 Gallons of Water to the system and mixed the nutes Accordingly
CalMag= .5ml/gal = 20ml
FloraMicro=3.0ml/gal = 120ml
FloraGro=2.0ml/gal = 80ml
FloraBloom= 2.0ml/gal = 80ml
PH DOWN= 80ml = PH=5.85
Target PPM= 300-500 = PPM= 426
2/19/2023
Day 2 of Veg (Day 18 overall)
While checking in on them this morning the PH was up to 6.37, I needed to add an additional 36ml of PH Down to get it stabilized at 5.86PH, Temp 76, Humidity 52. Everything looks like it is going good #4 is taking off the fastest and the rest look to be recovering fast.
2/20/2023
Day 3 of Veg (Day 19 Overall)
Checking in on them this morning and everything is Looking good.. the plants are starting to grow the roots are starting to expand. Happy Dance!!
2/21/2023
Day 4 of Veg (Day 20 Overall)
Checking in on them after work this evening #1 and #4 were ready for their first haircuts.. Topping completed. So glad they have recovered nicely and continue to make progress fast.
2/22/2023
Day 5 of Veg (Day 21 Overall)
Everything is looking better as of today, number 2 and 3 got their first hair cuts today (Topped). one of these plants don't look like the others, number 3 looks different than the other 3 wondering if number 3 is a male. About another week and they should be big enough to sext.
2/23/2023
Day 6 of Veg (Day 22 Overall)
I feel like everything is looking great, and they look fully recovered!
PH is stable at 5.91
Water temp is steady at 74
Tent is steady at 74.3
Humidity is at 52%
2/24/2023
Day 7 of Veg (Day 23 Overall)
I looked in at little ones (ladies hopefully) this morning and I think they are big enough to go ahead and take my samples for genetic testing. Have my fingers crossed that they are all Female, samples have been taken and are in the mail. The Genetic testers are RIMROCK Analytical.
Measurements at the end of week 1:
#1
Tall: 3 1/2"
Long: 9"
#2
Tall: 2 3/4"
Long: 9.2"
#3
Tall: 3 1/2"

2/25/2023
Week 2 Day 1 of Veg (Day 24 overall)
Everything seems to be on track and going good. PH is stable at 5.89, PPM is good 462, Temp 74, Humidity 53 They are spreading out and reaching the edges of the pots.
2/26/2023
Week 2- Day 2 of Veg (Day 25 overall)
Everything seems to be on track, My system PH was down to 5.82 and I like it just a little higher so I added 3ml of PH up, brining it back to 5.87. Plants are spreading out and growing.. each has two nodes going from where I topped it. And the roots are looking great!
2/27/2023
Week 2- Day 3 of Veg (Day 26 overall)
The PH was at 5.83 I like it around 5.86-5.89 so I added 2ml of PH UP bringing the PH to 5.86.
on Number 1, 2, and 4 I topped 4 Nodes. On Number 3 I topped 3 Nodes. Lots of explosive Growth on number 4.
Just got an update that my Sex testing kits will be delivered this afternoon.. Can't wait.. I have heard of turnarounds within 2 days so have my fingers crossed that they are all female.
Evening Check in PH was down to 5.80 so added 7mil of PH up brought it to 5.89. Also topped one more node on #1 brining it to 5 nodes topped. Adjusted light from 60% to 80%
2/28/2023
Week 2- Day 4 of Veg (Day 27 overall)
The PH was is at 5.86 looking good, the temp is looking good.. However on number 1 I am seeing signs of light burn. I turned the light up yesterday but I didn't raise them and I forgot that I am doing 20 hours of light this cycle They were at 24" from the plants. The thinking was let me see what the new light can do and what they did was burn the leaves some. I raised the light up to 33" from the plants will continue to monitor and adjust intensity as needed. I also topped all plants on 2 nodes.
3/01/2023
Week 2- Day 5 of Veg (Day 28 overall)
Had adjusted the lights yesterday and turned them back down to 60% as well as moved them 33" from the plants and the conditions on #1 and #3 continued to get worse. I reached out a more advanced grower and think we have it identified as too much Calcium in the system. I drained the system and started it over.
36 Gallons
Cal=.25mil/gal = 9Mil
FloraMicro= 3.0Mil/Gal = 108Mil
FloraGrow=2.0Mil/Gal = 72Mil
Flora Bloom=2.0Mil/Gal = 72Mil
PH Down= 1.72Mil/Gal = 62Mil
PPM= 466
PH= 5.87
3/2/2023
Week 2- Day 6 of Veg (Day 29 overall)
The results are in!! 50/50, 2 male 2 female.. was really surprised that #3 was a female.. Really sad that #4 was a male. Happy #2 is a female, Out of all 4, #2 has been the most consistent and was the most resistant to the damage that I have done. #1 I was indifferent about it being a male.
I removed the Two males from my grow and moved number 3 to the front so that both are in the front easier to take care of and when I SCROG I will just route them both towards the back of the tent where the empty Pods now sit.
3/3/2023
Week 2- Day 7 of Veg (Day 30 overall)
Plants look to be doing well this is the last day of Week 2. I will be draining the system and changing everything out for Weeks 3-4..

This Grow has definitely been an interesting grow I have been playing with Over or Under since the beginning and it all started with me drowning the plants by adding too much water. I will have to make sure I watch that on all my future grows. I prayerful that this week will get me fully back on track, in my previous grows using my chart, I haven't had any issues during this week, so again prayerful that this is the week I am back on point.
3/5/2023
Week 3- Day 2 of Veg (Day 32 overall)
ROOT ROT!!!
I guess from when I drowned it I caused a lurking issue that really showed it's head today. The roots were looking not slightly bleached but looking black. I cut out what looked dead and I had to run to the local Hydro shop to pick up some items to see if I can fix it and strengthen the plants.
I picked up Mammoth Silica, ORCA, and ROOT Drip.
I completely drained the system and started it over today as well.
38 Gallons In
Mammoth Silica = .5Mil/Gal = 19Mil
CalMag= .5Mil/Gal = 19Mil
Root Drip = 1Mil/Gal = 38Mil
FloraMicro = 4.2Mil/Gal = 160Mil

FloraBloom = 3.0Mil/Gal = 114Mil
Orca = .5Mil/Gal = 19Mil
PH Down 60 Mil = PH 5.83
I also had to run by Staples I realized the paper I was using wasn't the right brightness and Lbs for the Photon App. What I needed to have 22Lbs 98 Bright. I recently saw a comparison of the different weight papers against a several hundred dollar Apage PPFD detector and with the right paper it was almost exact readings. With that my PPFD 355.
3/6/2023
Week 3- Day 3 of Veg (Day 33 overall)
Still alive!! #2 and #3 are still alive and it looks like no further damage to any of the leaves.
#2 needed 1 node topped. I will keep monitoring day to day.
3/7/2023
Week 3- Day 3 of Veg (Day 34 overall)
Well Both appear to be doing all right. I cut off the offensive leaves from #3 nothing new on shown on the leaves. I actually needed to top 1 node on #2. PH is stable, Temps are stable.. I will be changing out the water and Nutes on Saturday not waiting the 2 weeks.
3/8/2023
Week 3- Day 4 of Veg (Day 35 overall)
Well Both appear to be doing all right. I actually needed to top 1 node on #3 and 2 on #2. PH is stable, Temps are stable.. I will be changing out the water and Nutes on Saturday not waiting the 2 weeks. I think the additives are truly making a difference I think I will be adding them to all my grows from here on out.
3/9/2023
Week 3- Day 5 of Veg (Day 36 overall)
Both still appear to be on the mend Still some dark brown on a small part of the roots and I don't know if those are just dead but it doesn't look like it is spreading and I see a bunch of new roots forming. Nothing new on the leaves at all. So I think the trio that I added is helping. The plants also seem to be in raised happy position going towards the light. I still plan to change the water on Saturday and go from there.
3/10/2023
Week 3- Day 6 of Veg (Day 37 overall)
Moved the light up to 41 1/2" so 3' 4 1/2" away from the top of the Plants.

PPM= 534
PH= 5.92
Tent Temp= 72.5
Humidity= 50-60% I have 2 humidifiers running on INK Bird controllers monitoring it 24/7.
I will be changing out the water tomorrow even though I could let it go an extra week but I am still concerned that the Root Rot is clearing up and I don't want to risk it coming back. I want fresh Nutes/ water in the tanks.
I topped 2 nodes on #3
I topped 3 Nodes on #2
I also cleaned out some of the bottom third portion that isn't getting much light and not much growth at all.
#2: 8 1/2" tall, 18" Wide
#3: 7 1/2" Tall, 15" Wide
3/11/2023

Happy, Happy... I topped 2 nodes on Plant #3 and 1 Node on Plant #2. Everything looks dialed in (Finally). I will be changing out the water this weekend and as long as everything looks good I will go back to only changing out the water once every two weeks.
3/14/2023
Week 4- Day 4 of Veg (Day 41 overall)
Not much to report.. I defoliated a little bit today and took a couple tops off each.
3/15/2023
Week 4- Day 5 of Veg (Day 42 overall)
Nothing to much to report. Took a few leaves today and a couple of Nodes topped on each of the plants. Everything seems to be dialed in for now.

PPFD= 450
Tent Temp = 78.3
Water Temp = 73.2

Week 5- Day 2 of Veg (Day 46 overall)
Not much to report.. Did some defoliation and some topping. The humidifier was not cutting it by itself to keep the humidity around 60 so I added a bigger humidifier today on a second InkBird Controller. Lets see if it can help control the environment a little better and keep me from having to refill 3 times a day.
3/20/2023
Week 5- Day 3 of Veg (Day 47 overall)
Just let them be today. We all took the day off and just grew!!
3/21/2023
Week 5- Day 4 of Veg (Day 48 overall)
Nothing much to report they continue to do good.. I topped a little I fim'ed a little and I defoliated a little.
Everything seems to be on point still...
3/22/2023
Week 5- Day 5 of Veg (Day 49 overall)
Did a little bit of daily maintenance by adding 6mil of PH Up to bring my PH from 5.80 to 5.89, I refilled my humidifier. I topped a little, I FIMed one and I defoliated a little bit.
3/23/2022
Week 5- Day 6 of Veg (Day 50 overall)
Regular maintenance conducted. The PH was down to 5.80 so I added 8mil of PH UP bringing the PH to 5.91. I topped where it was needed, I also defoliated some to allow light to hit lower nodes as well as allow a good air flow.
3/24/2023
Week 5- Day 7 of Veg (Day 51 overall)
Last Day of the week time for measurements:
#3 = 1 foot
#2 = 11 and 1/2 Inches
Tomorrow I will try to just add a SILICA top off to my Res.. I hope it doesn't call any gumming and me to drain and restart my Res.. this will be my first time topping off SILICA.
3/25/2023
Week 6- Day 1 of Veg (Day 52 overall)
Added my first between changes SILICA Top offs. Was worried that when you add it to pre mixed Nutes that it can make the whole thing turn into a gummy looking substance. I was ready to drain the system and start it over for the week if needed, but no issues adding it to the tank. the Silica going into the Res didn't gummy the system up, it did drop my PH by quit a bit causing me to have to bring it back in balance.
36 Gallons in the Tank
Silica
Add .5mil/Gal = 18Mil
I topped some that needed to be topped, I defoliated some that needs to be defoliated. Since I have moved into Week 6 I have increased the light intensity up to just over 500 maxing it out for Veg Cycle. Next increase will be Week 1 of Flower.
3/26/2023
Week 6- Day 2 of Veg (Day 53 overall)
All conditions looked great. Other than me not putting one of the humidifiers back right which means it didn't work last night so Humidity was lower than I like. But got the Humidifier back on it's stand correctly and it is now pumping away. With that I decided to give the plants a day off from any stresses, no topping, no FIMing, no Defoliation for today. Just some good old soaking up the light rays and the ability to get all the Nutes they would like..
3/27/2023
Week 6- Day 3 of Veg (Day 54 overall)
Looking kind of Bushy today, so I defoliated some, and topped some.
3/28/2023
Week 6- Day 4 of Veg (Day 55 overall)
PH was a little lower than I like 5.74 so I added a few Mil of PH UP and brought it back up to 5.94.
Not much else at this stage, just I topped a little and I defoliated a little.
3/29/2023
Week 6- Day 5 of Veg (Day 56 overall)
Topped a little, Defoliated a little Watched them grow!!
3/30/2023
Week 6- Day 6 of Veg (Day 57 Overall)
Main action today was breaking down my old tent and setting up a new tent and getting my second RDWC system setup and ready for clones. I Topped a little, I Defoliated some and started taking a good look at what I would like to take for clones in the coming days. I have a few bottom branches that look every promising for my clone material on each.
3/31/2023
Week 6- Day 7 of Veg (Day 58 overall)
#3 is at 16" Tall
#2 is at 13" Tall
4/1/2023
Week 7- Day 1 of Veg (Day 59 overall)
Water Change Day!!!
Water was really low it was just above the hump in the Res cutting it close to not having enough water in the system to keep it going. They drank a lot making it close going the full 14 days. I am still going with the previous grows and adding 36 Gallons but even looking at the root I think the SILICA is working and the roots are further along at this point than in previous grows. This next two weeks will watch how much they drink and how low my Res starts getting, and will make a decision on changing the water weekly from here on out or still keep on the plan of every other week until Week 4 of Flower.
Added 36 Gallons

Week 7- Day 2 of Veg (Day 60 overall)
Not much today, PH was at 5.81, I brought that back up to 5.90. I took care of some badly needed defoliation in each of the back sides .. I was able to see some really good clone material to use on the lower backside of each of the plants. I will be taking two clones from each to breed over the next few weeks depending on when I am going to flip them.
4/3/2023
Week 7- Day 3 of Veg (Day 61 overall)
A little FIMing, A little Topping, and a Little bit of defoliation.
Might have to take my clones during the week this week, I am trying to wait until Saturday to hit week 8 but again they are getting all over the place and I need to trim some of the sides and lower areas.
4/4/2023
Week 7- Day 4 of Veg (Day 62 overall)
I decided to take my clones and clean up the lower half of the plants. I took 2 clones from each plant to go into the cloning machine.
4/5/2023
Week 7- Day 5 of Veg (Day 63 overall)
Water Temp is sitting at 73. Right in my ideal range for my setup.
Ideal range 70-74
My Temp Tent is my ideal zone75.6
Ideal for this grow 70-78
The lights are still waiting the switch to flower to get maxed out...
The Humidity is coming in right at 60% I love it..
I took so much off yesterday I figure it was a good day to let them rest.
4/6/2023
Week 7- Day 6 of Veg (Day 64 overall)
I needed to Defoliate some and I topped a little. The plants might force me to flip them soon. Next Wed is the 10 week mark half way through the 20 weeks. The net is Bingo... Which means that If/when the plants hit the net I will have to flip them. The Net is set to the max height that I can let them get based on the Breeders Stretch report 75%.
4/7/2023
Week 7- Day 7 of Veg (Day 65 overall)
#3 is 22 inches Tall, #2 is 19 Inches Tall.
Net is set at 24 inches. Net is also set as my Bingo point, if they hit the net then I have to flip no matter what to account for the Breeders recommended 75% Stretch allowance. I think I am going to have to flip right at the 10 week mark of the Competition which is Wed 12 Apr.
I topped a little, I de-foliated a lot to start getting it ready for the anticipated Flip.
4/8/2023
Week 8- Day 1 of Veg (Day 66 overall)
I still have 1, 1/2" of clearance to the net. The Competition will hit the half way point on Wed, that leaves exactly 10 weeks left from Wed. So I decided to go ahead and top off the water by adding 10 gallons to the system today. I added the appropriate Nutes. I am considering 2 plans now that I have decided that I am going to flip to flower on Saturday no matter what. Plan 1, I can evaluate throughout this week and flip earlier than Saturday if needed which would mean draining my system on that day adding week 1 Flower Nutes to the tank and start Week 1 of flower that day.
I decided to go before before Saturday I will go ahead and change the water to week 1 flower, the same day I change the lights to 12/12. Then I will wait until the second Saturday so say 10 days if change my lights on Wed and then run Week 2 water/Nutes into Week4 and starting Week 5 change every week for rest of Grow. If I make it until Saturday will keep Week 1 Nutes until Week 3 and then starting Week 4 change every week until done.
Mammoth Silica- Bi weekly addition .5Mil/Gal * 36 Gallons = 18Mil
Added 10 Gallons to the system

4/9/2023
Week 8- Day 2 of Veg (Day 67 overall)
Less than 1/2" left until #3 hits the SCROG line, I think she is going to push me to flip tomorrow. Not much today let them rest and will continue to monitor in the morning to see if I am going to need to flip early.
4/10/2023
Week 1- Day 1 of Flower (Day 68 overall)
So when I looked in the tent today the leaves were just above the Net.
They hit my " I have to flip mark" so I did just that I flipped them today. I drained the system and filled it with Week 1 Day 1 Flower Nutes. The lights are set to turn off at 8:00pm EST and will turn back on tomorrow at 0800 EST and everyday for the rest of the Grow.
To get my water change schedule back on track to Saturdays, since I had to flip tonight on a Tuesday, I will wait 1 week and 5 days instead of the typical 2 weeks for my first change out of the system, so not this Saturday coming up but the following Saturday.
I added 36 Gallons of Water

Week 1- Day 2 of Flower (Day 69 overall)
Nothing to report day of rest of me and the plants as they get used to the flowering mix and the new lighting schedule.
4/12/2023
Week 1- Day 3 of Flower (Day 70 overall)
Heavy De-foliation was necessary.. A few branches are close to where I can SCROG them down.
4/13/2023
Week 1- Day 4 of Flower (Day 71 overall)
Super Cropped it and SCROGed it down to the net, I will keep and eye on it and take action as different branches reach over the line.
4/14/2023
Week 1- Day 5 of Flower (Day 72 overall)
I defoliated the canopy some and I cleaned up some of the under bruch that was getting no light. Deep in the middle and low under the canopy. I also did a little Super Cropping of any branches too far above the canopy.
4/15/2023
Week 1- Day 6 of Flower (Day 73 overall)
Continued defoliation of the top bottom and front and some heavy defoliation of the backs of the plants today..
4/16/2023
Week 1 - Day 7 of Flower (Day 74 overall)
Did Some Heavy Defoliation of the stuff on the inside that isn't getting any light and I cut off anything that I found that seems weak and is still just not making it to the canopy. I also did some super Cropping of the branches as well SCROGing it down. I added 10 gallons of water to they system the ladies have been thirsty and I added additional Week 1 Flower Nutes to the mix.

Week 2- Day 1 of Flower (Day 75 overall)
I Super Cropped some, I de-foliated some and I SCROGed some.
Loving how this grow is stretching out and how even this canopy is staying.
4/19/2023
Week 2- Day 2 of Flower (Day 76 overall)
Defoliated some of the tops that look like they might be covering lower Bud sites.
Now that I made it through the first week of stretch, I installed a second SCROG net 12" from the lower Net. This second week I will now stop SCROGing and Super cropping to net 1 and let them grow up to the second net over this next week. Then the last real week of stretch I will finish it up by super cropping anything that pokes up above net 2.
4/20/2023
Week 2- Day 3 of Flower (Day 77 overall)
Day of rest for me and the Plants!! Happy 420 day. I did get the other Spider-Farmer SE7000 for 21% off and free shipping which will be going into my clone tent.
4/21/2023
Week 2- Day 4 of Flower (Day 78 overall)
The are just about half way between the two nets.. Stretching Fast.. Did some defoliating of anything pressing too hard between the two plants and anything on the top that I saw blocking lower nodes from light. Will continue to let them grow until about 1 inch above net 2 then I will begin final super cropping to try and make sure they stay off the lights.
4/22/2023
Week 2 - Day 5 of Flower (Day 79 overall)
Water change day.. I have decided that I am going to keep my same water change day of Saturday since it is convenient for me however since I am doing this, my water change day will not align with the new week for the rest of the grow. I did some more defoliation, as well as trimming out any weaker branches that have failed to rise above the canopy the last few days.
I added 36 Gallons of Water
2- Day 5

Week 2- Day 6 of Flower (Day 80 overall)
Spent some time defoliating anything I thought was blocking a lower bud site from getting light. I thinned out the inside and the bottom some more. canopy looks like it is staying pretty even as it grows towards the second set of nets.
4/24/2023
Week 2- Day 7 of Flower (Day 81 overall)
Not much to do today. I keep thinning out the lower leaves and weaker branches as well as I keep monitoring the canopy and clearing anything blocking any Lower Bud sites that I see.
4/25/2023
Week 3- Day 1 of Flower (Day 82 overall)
I let the plant take the day off and grow today, A few of the branches are just short of the Second net. As soon as they hit the second Net Super Cropping shall commence.
4/26/2023
Week 3- Day 2 of Flower (Day 83 overall)
Did some heavy defoliation on the back of the plants today. Did some light defoliation on the canopy on leaves that were blatantly covering lower bud sites.
4/27/2023
Week 3- Day 3 of Flower (Day 84 overall)
Continued to defoliate some of the back. Today was a Happy Day, I received my Spider Farmer SE7000 for my other tent now my tents are twins again.. LOL!! Several stems have hit the Top net.. I will let them get a little farther before I super crop them down. for the rest of this week I want to try and keep the canopy even right around the second net. From Week 4 on they should be on auto pilot for the rest of the grow.
4/28/2023
Week 3- Day 4 of Flower (Day 85 overall)
Well the stretch seems to not be as bad as I was thinking it would be with this strain. I am starting to feel like what I did on the first net with Super cropping the taller branches as well as SCROGing them down worked. That it kept them down far enough that I don't have to worry about them getting anywhere close to the lights. The second net most likely will be there just for support of the bud weight then for me to super crop a second layer. I will keep an eye on it and will Super Crop anything down that I think might be an issue, or raise the net up to where I think it will do the most good to support the weight of the taller branches bud sites as they develop.
Typically when you hit week 4 everything switches to straight bud production from Growing. Your stretch is over and if you have defoliated right you can pretty much sit back for the rest of the grow and be on auto pilot just maintain the system.
4/29/2023
Week 3- Day 5 of Flower (Day 86 overall)
Was that time to do some deep cleaning up to the first net. If the foliage didn't make make it through the first net then it got defoliated today.
Topped up the system by Adding 10 Gallons today
Added Top up of SILICA .5Mil/Gal = 30 Gallons = 15
10 Gallons Added

Week 3- Day 6 of Flower (Day 87 overall)
Continued to clear top foliage that is blocking the lower bud sites from the light, I also continued to clear any lower branches that even with top clear are still too low for the light.
5/1/2023
Week 3- Day 7 of Flower (Day 88 overall)
Continued to defoliate and thin out some of the under brush as it grows and some of the canopy's bigger fan leaves blocking lower bud sites.
5/2/2023
Week 4- Day 1 of Flower (Day 89 overall)
Continued to clean up the bottom area clearing out anything below the first net. This is the point in the grow that the journal typically is going to get really boring. This is the week that if I did my work right over the last few weeks they should transition from stretch into Auto Pilot. Allowing me to really sit back let them take over and just keep them fed. I really enjoy this part as I get to watch things fall into place and develop from the labor I have put in over the last weeks. Hopefully from here I only have to intervene minimally and clean up anything lower that I think is dragging the rest down but that should be it until the end.
I do think I might clean up the canopy a little bit more over the next few days as I watch to ensure the stretch is over, but if the stretch is over than Time to let the buds grow!!!
Again I apologize the dairy is going to get pretty boring most days from here.
5/3/2023
Week 4- Day 2 of Flower (Day 90 overall)
Huston we had a problem,... I looked at my PH this morning and it had dropped down to 5.70 so I took off the lid of my Res to add some PH up and... to my surprise the water was way down, I am talking almost gone out of the res.. the Res Pump was just above the water being so low it would be slurping which would have been bad, if not caught right away it could have burned my pump motor up!! It appears that the Ladies were very hungry and have drunken a lot the last few days. Glad the plan was already set to start changing weekly from this Saturday for the rest of the grow or I would have shifted plans to start changing weekly until end.
I did want to mention Frost is starting to develop and a small smell when open tent is starting to hit.
I added 16 gallons and the accompanying Nutes.
16 Gallons water Added

Week 4- Day 3 of Flower (Day 91 overall)
Did do a little defoliation in the back today. But getting really close to letting it go on auto pilot for the rest of the grow.
5/5/2023
Week 4- Day 4 of Flower (Day 92 overall)
Well the girls are still growing a little bit. They went from 36inches to 38 inches over the last 4 days. Last measurement was on Week 3 Day 7 so on 1 May 2023.
Since they are still growing, I decided to defoliate a little bit more. I will keep watching them for no more growth. The buds are starting to come in really nice.
I mean it is 31 days into Flower and a lot of brown pistils are already coming in. I have a ton of frost starting to develop on the buds and fan leaves as well.
I am aslo seeing some frost on the stems of the fan leaves. I think this is going to be a really frosty strain. Water Change Day tomorrow....
5/6/2023
Week 4- Day 5 of Flower (Day 93 overall) (Day 33 of Flower)
Water Change Day!! After draining the system I noticed the roots have now grown all the way through hump and into the Reservoir. These roots have been just taking off.. and going everywhere this grow. I also noticed a few sucker buds trying to grow in on the lower stems and removed them. The humidity was at 63 so I added a second dehumidifier and InkBird Controller to help keep the humidity down.
I added 36 Gallons of Water
Mammoth Silica = .5Mil/Gal= 18Mil
Root DRIP = 1Mil/Gal= 36Mil

Week 4- Day 6 of Flower (Day 94 overall)
Why is it during this time a whole bunch of Sucker buds always want to appear.. LOL!! Took out the sucker buds showing up on the lower area started to thin out between the two nets and took any blatant fan leave blocking a lower but site.
5/8/2023
Week 4- Day 7 of Flower (Day 95 overall)
Did what should be the last measurement and the one branch that didn't get Super Cropped or SCROGed down hit 39 and 1/2 inches. So I flipped when they were at 24 Inches and they grew 15 and 1/2 inches during stretch. Growth Percentage = (growth / initial height) X 100 = (15.5/24)X100= 64.5 Growers estimated Stretch was 70%.
I also said that I am going to let it go on auto pilot but I figured that I would go ahead and defoliate a few leaves that stuck out to me as just needing to go, blocking lower bud sites from getting good light.
5/9/2023
Week 5- Day 1 of Flower (Day 96 overall)
I couldn't help myself the bottom backs just needed some defoliation today. They had too many sucker buds growing that were lower than the bottom net and would do nothing but suck up the energy from the upper buds. Other than that I just made sure they are maintaining a happy environment and that is it. Hopefully I can let them go on auto pilot more days now.
5/10/2023
Week 5- Day 2 of Flower (Day 97 overall)
I looked in and wow, some more defoliation was needed.. LOL!!! took a little more off the top and middle.
5/11/2023
Week 5- Day 3 of Flower (Day 98 overall)
I know I said auto pilot but you can't blame me I had to take the blatant offenders out. I defoliated any major offenders blatantly blocking lower bud sites.
5/12/2023
Week 5- Day 4 of Flower (Day 99 overall)
Well, I always love a new and interesting problem so I thought it was fascinating at first that the roots have grown so massively this time that they grew up the hump and down into my Res. My PH was off this morning so Opened my Res and the roots were sucked into my water fall pump.. Luckily some water was getting through so it didn't burn my pump up but I had to take action. My first thought and action was to just cut the roots back to where they come into the Res. I cut the roots and cleared them out of the water fall pump hole and then the system dropped so low that the water fall pump was slurping. I turned the pump off and added 10 gallons of water to the system thinking this would balance out the levels now that I had cleared the roots from the pump, I turned it back on and the water left the Res and went out to the system but not enough water was returning to the Res to keep it balanced. The water cleared out of the Res almost all the way Quickly. I put on some gloves got in the tank and pulled the roots all the way back to it's bucket and I wrapped the roots at the bottom to try and keep them from going back in towards the Res. As soon as I did that the Res balanced out with the rest of the system. So I think the roots going into the hump was causing me more issues then I knew, so I am really glad things developed to alert me to pull them back and to keep them that way in the future.
Once I cleared the roots and the system balanced I realized that if I had cleared the roots I wouldn't have had to add any extra water to the system.

Week 7- Day 2 of Flower (Day 111 overall)
Tucked a few fan leaves below lower buds but didn't see any blatant offenders that needed to be removed. I typically do start my checks in Week 8 but since this is a new strain I decided to go ahead and do a Trichome check just to see what was what.. Just as I thought nothing but clear glassy Trichomes. I will check again in one week....

I admit it.. I had to defoliate a little bit.. I looked in while changing the water today and there were just a couple blatant offenders blocking the light from lower bud sites and those leaves they just had to go. Other than that I changed the water and this week is where I drop everything and start preparing them for this last phase of the grow. Loving a few of these buds they are starting to beef out very nicely.

Week 7- Day 7 of Flower (Day 116 overall)
Found a few baby sucker buds trying to form so I removed them. Other than that I am enjoying watching her mature.

5/30/2023
Week 8- Day 1 of Flower (Day 117 overall)
So two of the buds in the back fell over, it was definitely because they are getting heavy, I had to pick them up and tuck them in to the net to help support them they were so covered in Resin that I had to use Rubbing alcohol to clean my hand was so super sticky from touching the bud will have to use gloves from now on if I need to touch the buds. Other than that I sat back and got to watch the ladies grow.
5/31/2023
Week 8- Day 2 of Flower (Day 118 overall)
Just watched them grow today.. :-)

Week 8- Day 3 of Flower (Day 119 overall)
I noticed on two of the bigger Fan leaves small signs of Calcium Deficiency so I fixed my Chart to up the Cal mag from .5 to .75 for the water change on Saturday.

Auto Pilot.. I did nothing but look in and enjoy the beautiful ladies.
6/4/2023
Week 8- Day 7 of Flower (Day 123 overall)
Auto Pilot Day 2.. Just watched them be beautiful.. I did want to get a picture of where they stems meet to make an arch I thought it looked really cool and would be a fun pic. I also wanted to focus on the color differences between the two. I am amazed between this lightside/darkside, yen/yang, thing going on in the tent.. Plant #2 is decidedly bright green, like more light with hints of yellow throughout, and plant #3 leaves are getting darker and it has hints of purple coming in throughout the buds. It really is an amazing and fun contrast especially with the name Yoda Soda to have a type of light side/ dark side theme going on with the Two plants.
6/6/2023
Week 9- Day 1 of Flower (Day 124 overall) (Day 63 of Flower)
Auto Pilot Day 3.. Just watched them be beautiful. I also did a Trichome check today things are moving along nicely.
6/7/2023
Week 9- Day 2 of Flower (Day 125 overall)
I admit it I couldn't help it there were some blatant offender leaves blocking the light from some of the canopy buds so they had to go..... and when I took them I found a few more in between leaves that had to go.. so long story short some defoliation did happen.. :-)
6/8/2023
Week 9- Day 3 of Flower (Day 126 overall)
Auto pilot re-engaged.. I sat back took some photos and just enjoyed how beautiful this light side and dark side thing the plants are doing The buds are almost as long as my Sharpie. I also applied the last application of my Hermie spray to the clone I took in Apr to reverse it.
6/9/2023
Week 9- Day 4 of Flower (Day 127 overall)
Auto Pilot Day 2... :-) It was check in day today for the grow off. Last check in for the competition. Trichomes are looking great.. did another check today will keep an eye on it just incase I need to cut earlier than planned. Tomorrow Water change day!

Week 9- Day 6 of Flower (Day 129 overall)
Auto Pilot Day 4... I just enjoyed the nice smell coming from the tent today, and the contrast between light and dark side buds that they did.
6/12/2023
Week 9- Day 7 of Flower (Day 130 overall)
Auto Pilot Day 5. These ladies are looking amazing, the fade is coming in nice purple on plant #3 and really nice yellow on #2.
6/13/2023
Week 10- Day 1 of Flower (Day 131 overall) (Day 70 of Flower)
Auto Pilot Day 6.. Checked the Trichomes and the bud density and both are looking good.. Definitely needs a little more time for the Trichomes to be where I like, so based on my check I think we are still looking right around the end of the competition 22June to be done and ready for harvest. I do like that the fade is coming in the leaves nicely, so my chart I think is dropping off the Nitrogen exactly like it is supposed to.
6/14/2023
Week 10- Day 2 of Flower (Day 132 overall)
Auto Pilot Day 7.. Decided I would take some contrasting pics today with my light up to 100 and my light all the way on Dim. I hope you enjoy the pics.
6/15/2023
Week 10- Day 3 of Flower (Day 133 overall)
Auto Pilot Day 8.. Decided to take a look at the Trichome's today and Check to see where they are at and honestly if I might ho ahead and start my flush tomorrow and harvest on Sunday.
6/16/2023
Week 10- Day 4 of Flower (Day 134 overall) (Day 74 of Flower)
Today I pulled an Armageddon however instead of darkness they are going to get 48 hours of light. The reason why they are going to get light instead of dark is when I was taking out the netting a lot of the buds were so heavy they fell over and exposed some areas I really want to get some light to... so 48 hours of light at 40% while I watch what should be a beautiful final fade as the plant eats up the last Nutes. If anything goes wrong I can abort take the photos and cut so will pay really close attention to how it is looking over the next 48 hours.
Added 30 Gallons of PH only Water.
Reduced Lighting to 40% removed program time off. 48 hours of light.
6/17/2023
Week 10- Day 5 of Flower (Day 135 overall) (Day 75 of Flower)
I had someone tell me that a few growers had done as I did and Gone Armageddon on the plants. Filling it with PH only and said the plants did not respond well and they were taken out of the comp at the very end because they felt like the pictures just wouldn't come out right. Even though I did go Armageddon, The PPM is at 353PPM with the residue of what was left in the buckets after draining as well as what I am getting from the TAP so I think they are doing good but I am checking them every few hours to see how they seem to be doing and I think they are doing good still and are on track.
I also started prepping the area for the pics tomorrow
T-24 Hours until Chop

Week 10- Day 6 of Flower (Day 136 overall) (Day 76 of Flower) (Harvest Day)
What a day.. what a day.. what a day.. as I was setting up and trying to figure out how I was going to get my pics #3 stems started breaking, it fell over and other stems broke.. So no really stunning competition photo for her, she had such a nice purple fade.. #2 stayed up in the Tent so that is the one I had to go with to submit for the contest. I wet trimmed them as they went into the tent and they took up three rows hanging in tent. I also decided I wanted to try some so I put a little in the freeze dryer for a 48 hour smoke test.. I will weigh it and add that to my total weight for the plants when it is all done.
I had a lot of fun with this strain and it was grown against 400 growers so let me say PHENO hunting is a true thing. Overall the Bud was a nice dense structure and the smoke on it was smooth and the high nice and even.
