Start of Week 9 - Day 57 06/28: The ladies are looking amazing! Aaliyah and Alexis have a lot of buds coming up. Annie is starting her stretch, so I’ve been moving around some of the leaves that are blocking the light to the cola branches. As of now she’s standing at 20” from the top of the coco. Alexis is now at 27” and Aaliyah has reached a height of 30” from the top of the coco. That height definitely caught me off guard! Still keeping waterings at every day and a half and EC and pH levels in runoff are good. A few of the lower leaves on the plants have yellowed and withered up, but I think it’s just the plants themselves getting rid of leaves that aren’t getting light. Overall the ladies are looking great! Can’t wait to see how much progress they make this week. 06/30: Checked in the gals and by my surprise they have all grown two inches. Aaliyah is now 32” tall and has pretty much grown into the light. Luckily I went with the LEDs so there’s not much heat. Hand up to the light is still cooler than the sun on some days. Her buds have started forming and are now covered with pistils. Annie is still creeping her way into flowering and is now at 22”. Hopefully she doesn’t get as tall as Aaliyah. Alexis is now at 29”. I have to admit, I was worried Alexis wasn’t going to do well. She didn’t look as healthy as the other two when she was a seedling. But that has changed. She looks extremely healthy and although she is in a 3-gallon pot and isn’t as big as Aaliyah, she still has a lot of buds sites coming up. I’m glad she made it. More for the yield. 07/02: Watered the ladies. EC levels in runoff are good. pH in Aaliyah’s runoff is a little low, so I’m going to keep an eye on her. She’s now at 34” tall, but I tied her down. It was either this, or no light. Hopefully she takes it okay. Her buds are really starting to grow. Annie is now at 24”. She is currently on her stretch. Hopefully she doesn’t get as tall as Aaliyah. Alexis is at 32” and looking great. As of now I’ve seen no pests inside the tent, or on the trap I put up. But I did see a few flies while watering that looked more like fruit flies than fungus gnats. Hopefully they are and the pest problem is solved. 07/04: The ladies keep growing! Aaliyah is now at 33” because of the new bending, Alexis is at 34” (I just bent her main cola down), and Annie is at 25 1/2”. With Alexis at 34” she has also passed my light. Since Aaliyah seems to be doing okay with the bending, I decided to bend Alexis down as well. Annie is going into her stretch. Found a dead fly in tray and a live one on the trap. I guess my problems continue. I gave the ladies a good amount of water (4500mL for Annie!) and am going to leave the next watering for two days now. Hopefully this can help. 12/25/2023-Germination Day 1 Merry X-mas 2023 I decided to start a run of SolFIre Gardens Hoodz Candyz S1. I am going to do a cup filled with RO water a touch of Hydrogen peroxide and let it sit for 24-48 hours until I see tap root then I am going to put it into a rapid rooter.. Tap root Down and put it about 1/4 of the say down the Rapid rooter. I made some modifications to my basket on this run.. I have taken a few Pods that I use for my cloning machine and decided that I am going to try and use them as sure plants, so that I can take my water right up to the bottom of the basket this time and see if these can make my planting more consistent.   12/26/2023-Germination Day 2 Tap root achieved Planting Commencing 12/27/2023-Germination Day 3 Misted the dome lightly misted the rapid rooter and added a little water to the bottom of the pan to encourage root growth to the pan. 12/28/2023-Germination Day 4 Ground Hogs day 12/29/2023- Germination Day 5 She is up, she has broken surface, I misted the root riot, and around the bottom of the tray to try and entice root growth down rapidly. 12/31/2023- Germination Day 6 Ground Hogs Day 1/1/2024-Germination Day 7 HAPPY NEW YEARS!!.. I did it I planned it out so my planting day would fall on New Years and it worked.. She's 2weeks into flowering at this point. I decided to stop giving her the 'Power roots' nutrients and start giving her 'Green Sensation' because I calculated that she only has 6 weeks untill harvest. I want to stop giving her extra nutrients after 4weeks from now so she has 2weeks to get a propper flush. she look healty and strong. For so far i'm really happy about this Power flower seed i got! First week I hadn’t used any nutes and just basically water when dry. Kept the humidity domes on for a bit but that’s basically it at this point.

Chugging right along, the buds on this one are miniscule compared to the pot-mate's. Makes me wonder if it's a slower genetic, or just a low yielder. No top feeding again, except for the Tropicana Cookies is the 1 gal. 12 hrs 45 minutes on.

Big mistake I made with lightning , which made this strain suffer a lot. Inderlit buds lead to larf, will reduce that next time. I didn’t really weight it, it’s going for hash, but left at least 100g as flower.

Well as you can see THC bomb from bomb seeds is starting to put weight on the flowers. I have it at a very strong potassium, and phosphorus feed right now. The plant has a lot of nitrogen in it currently. I have been giving lower doses so hopefully it won't effect the buds development. It has been using it as you can see in center of plant where the light is focused on this beast of a auto. Man... What a week! So we closed in on week 6. I JUST moved all of my stuff across town! Went well! I FINALLY got everyone setup where they belong...

everything is fine, the rains have stopped and it seems that the plant is quite mature, I think I will harvest it next week. It has been 2 weeks without watering with fertilizer, making the washing of roots as natural as possible. It has developed a very beautiful purple color in only 2 weeks, because of the stress caused by the cold. I have also found some worm and some rotten bud but usually it is holding it very well

End of Week 8 (First week of flower) Increased the CO2 to 1200ppm and the ladies love it, already started stretching within the first 3 days of flower which shows that CO2 definitely boosts the grow cycle of cannabis. The main top-sites are popping up everywhere and everything looks evenly spread out. I defoliated again because the fan leaves are growing so fast and blocking bud sites. I also did one last lower canopy maintenance and removed small and stalky bud sites and stems below the trellis net to make sure I get maximum energy distribution to the main colas. I also added some GHF BioEnhancer to make sure the soil-microbes are happy and that the plants reach their maximum potential. Pest Report: EXTERMINATED! Thrips VS Ladybugs VS Neem Oil... I decided to fight fire with fire - I purchased Swirski-Mites from Koppert (They are beneficial insects that feed on the eggs and larvae of thrips and other unwanted pests). As for the adult thrips - I got very lucky and found about 10 Ladybugs in my garden and decided to introduce them into my grow room as they will feed on adult thrips and any other unwanted pests. Then to be extra sure I know that neem oil hinders the life cycle of pests like thrips causing them to stop colonising in my grow room. So I sprayed the ladies every day during the dark period to make sure there are no pests that I or the Ladybugs have missed. Mission accomplished. No more wilting and definitely no more thrips.

Welcome to week 23 of my grow diary. Unfortunately, this is also the last week. During my daily check for mould, I noticed that one of the headbuds looked suspicious. The spot was right in the tip of one of the headbuds. In the video you can see that I have generously removed the tip. This was also the reason for the harvest. I actually wanted to leave the plant for a few more days but the mould made me decide to harvest it earlier. During the harvest, I discovered mould in the early stages in 2 other places. The flowers were trimmed wet and checked thoroughly. I hope you enjoyed my grow diary. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me. All in all, I really liked this strain. Apart from the last case of mould, I had no problems with the plant. It survived the mainlining well. During this experiment I was able to gain a lot of experience for future grows.
