Start of week 7 and all plants are looking great. Added the net to hold them later but I may take it out. Ran into a slight issue…my plants got so tall that I was not able to provide enough PPDF to the lower stems (I need a bigger tent and better lighting…in time). As a result a caused light burn on the top leaves. Additionally, early in my grow I was using Mass Pro. That alone with amendments and I foliaged early with Foop. I believe the Foop and Mass Pro were too much for these plants to handle. Still rocking though…

I am excited to try out this new gorilla cookies from fastbuds. I originally started this setup to compete in the solo cup challenge, but I needed something that will be minimal maintainence and doesn't require hand watering. So this is what I ended up with. I will not be entering since I know it will bring controversy, but I am going to follow the rules and treat this grow as if I am competing. I didn't want to use regular solo cups because last time I had a lot of algae growing in the root zone when I harvested. I opted to use a black light proof cup. These cups were 27 oz originally so I filled them with 16 oz of water, marked the level, then cut them down to 16 oz. I set the drain pipes about an inch from the bottom so they have a little reserve if I have pump or power issues. I know people will see the drains as a way for roots to grow out of the cup but in reality I have to keep the entire pipe free of roots or it will clog and overflow. So I am actually losing a little volume due to this. I filled the bottom inch or so of the cups with river gravel to stop the perlite from washing into the reservoir. I am running a 5 gallon reservoir with a small air pump and the plants will be getting irritated 24 hours a day from an aquarium power head pump. I set the system up to be totally self contained and easily portable. It was all built from things I had laying around other than 97¢ for the cups. I will be keeping the feed simple as always feeding maxigro and maxibloom with a couple flower boosters.

Things are smelling amazing and look even better. Happy Easter indeed! --Apr 7-- So far so good. The girlfriend gave the girls a nice trimming job and cleaned them up real good! Got some more trich pictures today that came out nice and clear this time. My shakey hands don't allow for good closeups! --Apr 12-- Made the chop on Friday! Got a decent harvest it looks like. hang drying now until this weekend probably and then in the jars for a couple weeks. Already made some bubble hash out of the trimmings/popcorn buds which tastes pretty good and seems to be a decent smoke so far! I'll post again once I've finished the harvest and tried them out.

@FAST_BUDS, Hi all the happy people here in GrowDiaries. This is my second cultivation ever and it will be fun to try a bigger space than my closet grow. First, I'm just going to say I'm done with the construction of my new growroom. I put some pictures on the construction here in week one. The room is 2.14 meters by 1.7 meters and has a ceiling height of 2 meters. It provides a floor area of ​​3.6 square meters. I use a 54 Watt Lightwawe T5 for germination and 2 Pcs 400 Watt HPS lamps. I have a channel fan that replaces the room air about 40 times an hour to get a comfortable environment in the room, the air enters a fresh air intake from the outside. The air is purified through a carbon filter to then leave the room to the rest of the basement. Then I use that heat to heat the rest of the basement. I will use 8 pcs 15 liter Autopots to grow with and a 100 liter water tank that supplies the pots of water and nutrition. I will grow completely organically in soil and will watercure my buds to get the best possible medicine for me. But there are no cultivation rooms to be displayed here, so I continue with what is most important. Today I have put my seeds in my moisture dome and hope the seeds have germinated within a few days. 1/29 Week 5 She is just doing so well! Cant wait to see what she does in flower. Dropping CocoTek to 5ml and increasing run off as some white tips are showing 1/30 She now at 14 inches 2/1 Chiana now at 15 inches Major defoliation last night at lights out. Removed perhaps 25-40% or leaf mass on her to allow them to stay in the tent another two weeks. It was time to learn the process anyway, took a compromise path to doing it, some recommended taking more some less.

So, Im growing 1 Pineapple Express, in soil, and 1 hydroponically. This diary I’m using it for soil records(have a strawberry cheesecake auto diary, for hydro). The one in soil is 2x bigger than the rest of the plants in the same 4x4 tent, and I rotate them every other day! The reason for doing this, is due to always seeming to have 1 way bigger than the others. All in all, it’s been a good week! Been really, REALLY appreciating the perfect ph Advanced Nutrients!!!! I still check the ph, and due to the different type of grows, I do have to have a little higher ph for soil, but it’s been consistently ~6.2-6.3

Das ist quasi die Upgrade-Version des Nährstoff-Menüs! • PH-Wert: Wieder 5,9 – Perfektion muss sein. • EC: Exakt nach Hesi-Plan für diese Phase – der optimale Power-Shake. • Wassertemperatur: Konstante 20°C – Das Wurzel-Spa läuft weiter. Mit den frischen Nährstoffen und der blitzsauberen Umgebung steht dem Turbo-Wachstum nichts mehr im Wege. Die Wurzeln schießen wie verrückt ins Wasser, und ich bin bereit für den baldigen Wurzel-Dschungel. Ich bin schon gespannt, wie schnell die Blätter in den nächsten Tagen wachsen werden. Transplant day!!!! Transplanted my 5 Purple lemonade ladies from solo cups, to 5 gallon grow bags! Today is day 14 and they had a fantastic root system. (Attached a photo). I am running FFOF this run, with 20% perlite added to the mix. I will not be running any nutes until probably week 5, as fox farms comes ready to go. This will be my first run with Ocean forest. My normal medium is Cocoloco by bushdoctor. I top dressed these girls with around 2 inches of cocoloco from a previous grow, to keep the gnats and bugs down. They dont mess with the cocoloco, I'm in Hope's that the couple inches of that on top will help with this also. They will veg under a 4ft, 8 bulb T5 Light.
