Week 4 of flower and the boys have finally spilled the pollen. It’s bloody everywhere in there so I expect that no bud has gone undefiled😎. The females have all witnessed a pretty significant nitro deficiency now that they’re trying to produce seed instead of flowers. We changed out the nute mix to 1/3 grow and 2/3 bloom and they immediately showed improvement. No slight against Druid at all - we moved to a different brand simply to conserve it for the flowering runs where it really matters👍. The lone separated spicy bitch female that entered flower early is looking really sexy. I very much doubt she’ll have escaped full pollination with this much in the air however. We won’t use any seed from this girl but if we’re lucky we might be able to pull out some sample bud. We’re taking down all the males today now that their job is done and we’ve also decided to harvest from the one specific cum dumpster male that has shown as the most vigorous. Doubt we’ll get around to using it before it’s shelf life expires but u never know. The details on that will be in the harvest entry coming up. Other than that - we’re through the fornication stage and it’s all just keeping the ladies alive until it’s time to extract some seeds👍😎👍. Still workn on the potential cross names - that’s the best part😉. Until next week🤟👊. Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. Shoutout and cheers to @blendmedmedman. Hoping to have something back to ya in short order. For full details on this alluring hybrid option check my buddies link at seedfinder - https://en.seedfinder.eu/strain-info/Holy_Surfer/Smiling_Tiger/ Northern Lights - this came from a particularly interesting batch of seeds that have shown a very dependable variegation trait. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

Thought I would have harvested already, but from the little I'm able to see, there still aren't really many, if any amber colored thc crystals, so I might wait some more days. The second plant remains 1 week or so behind but might soon catch up and they could come down at the same time. Still only flushing with water, some leafs are starting to curl and dry off. I'm just a bit paranoid that it is time to cut, I'm just not seeing the amber color because the camera can't pick it up. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Dia 76 desde la germinación y 48 dias después del trasplante se empieza a notar la robustez de las plantas ya miden bastante alto casi 2 M , y estan bastante ensanchadas, lo único que se puede notar la 1051 , sus ramas crecen muy rectas hacia arriba ,la white noise crece con las hojas un poco onduladas aunque no afecta a la planta. Pronto las amarraremos y ataremos con una estructura para que esten más cogidas y distribuidas las ramas y mas seguras contra viento y lluvias que empiezarán en septiembre

Another good week!! I defoliated the smaller of the 2 plants mid-week... I think she is doing very fine. A small hiccup with the feed that same night. Only a few leaves are showing any sign on nutrient burn. I went ahead and fed them again today. I plan on watering them in a day or two... they were very thirsty this afternoon!! So, I definitely need to up the watering. I've still been feeding 3 quarts twice a week. Otherwise, all seems to be going well!! They are frosting up very nicely!! So exciting!! Peace!! Update for grow question: @The8thChevron thanks!!! I pulled them and will hope for the best for now. So close to the finish line. If I see more trouble brewing I will pull the plant. I don't know how to answer directly to you on the grow question.... Thanks again!!

I'm already assuming we'll have a longer flowering period. The Gorilla Cookies has grown so huge that it will definitely need more time. So we'll certainly repeat the 4th week of fertilization. Before that, it will get week 3 of the master recipe from Advanced Nutrients.

Die Blue Sunset Sherbert ist am BT 68 geerntet. Sie wird die nächsten 1-2 Wochen im Zelt trocknen. Die Pflanze an sich sieht cool aus und riecht gut, mal gespannt was die auf die Wage bringt. In der Blüte habe ich sie leicht überdüngt und heiße Sommernächte haben dazu geführt das sich Bananen gebildet haben. War relativ Spät in der Blüte, denke es gibt wohl keine Samen im Weed, aber mal schauen die nächsten Tage werde ich es sehen und hier darüber berichten. Update: Getrocknet 24g Headbud und 12g b flower. Minus ~4g die ich beiseite gelegt habe zum verkosten. Also insgesamt ca. 40g leicht getrimmt.

* ***************** Week 3 of Growth From Seed, April 25 to May 1, 2020 - Days 15 to 21 from germination ********************** * Started the head scratching more this week and wondering what is going on with the slower growth she has experienced the last 4 days or so. She is looking good and not dark....environment is good.....what the heck is the pH so high when been given feed well inline and below 6.0......why runoff numbers in low 7's so early in the run?? A number of heavy feedings this week so that I can read the runoff numbers for her. Going to keep staying the course with feeding but lower the pH because she is still progressing and its still pretty early in the run........not much veg time for an auto though so I need to get this figured out pretty soon. Gave her some Epsom salts this week as well as I have been battling Magnesium deficiency the last run or two. Always just used CalMag but I don't think the girls always want as much Calcium as they are given this way though. Fed at a rate of 1tsp/gal in a two litre feed early on in the week. Little more Detail........... Apr 25/20, Day 15 - 500ml feed - VitaThrive and Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml - 700ppm and 6.0pH - small feed of base nute to try and perk her up. - noticed the lower leaves are droopy while the upper leaves are perky still. - Still working on dialing the light for these girls as they are happier at 30" away from canopy. Apr 26/20 - Day 16 - 500ml feed - AN Sensi Cal @ 1.5ml, Sensyzime @ 2ml, Epsom Salt @ 1tsp/gal - 700ppm and 6.0pH - The Epsom Salt alone shot the ppm to 500 - Only have the veg switch on for the UnitFarm light. - feeling some of the other girls are showing some magnesium deficiency with the yellowing perimeter of the leaves. Apr 27/20 - Day 17 - dry out day - Cut slits in the bottom of the bag today to let more water out, more quickly when feeding. - Wondering if the root zone is staying too wet and therefore causing some stunted growth. - She has been falling a sleep too early in the day so either too much light or getting root bound? Apr 28/20 - Day 18 - needing some runoff numbers to see what the hell is going on - fed 3L - Piranha @ 1ml, VooDoo @ 2ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml - going in was 575ppm and 5.3pH - runoff numbers were 1450ppm and 6.9pH - WTF......bring it down......next feed at only 500ppm and 5.0pH to lower her?? - leaf colour is perfect. Stems are a little immature yet, but side branching is coming out stronger. Apr 29/20 - Day 19 - 8L feed - Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml = 325ppm and 5.0pH - runoff after the watering was 500ppm and 7.0pH - WTF.....expected it to be more in the 6.5pH range and not that high still? - KK looked worse off, still droopy, after this than the other girls did. Lack of oxygen in root zone with so much water? Its coco though shouldn't be for too long. Apr 30/20 - Day 20 - dry out day - KK likes it a little dryer in her medium.....she perked up more today and looking a lot better. - She has had more vertical growth the last day and she is spacing out some of her nodes. - Her stem is thicker and she is getting stronger. - Still a week behind though in my opinion and they should have been this size a week ago. Apr 31/20 - Day 21 - dry out day - she has done very well the last two days and going to keep riding that wave, didn't water today. - She has certainly gotten taller and wider.......getting her back on track? That will wrap up this puzzling week........pH is not staying low after being brought down......shoots back up over 7 in only 24 hours idea. Working on it Growmies. And the pre flower stretch starts, she is starting to show the bud spots and getting some vertical growth, lets hope for a huge yield !

All and all good, lots more growth. Flip the switch soon and see how much more they stretch in flower. Definitely has monster genes. Some fan leaves are bigger than a hand span. Watering sensitive but makes a quick recovery of over/under watered. Not long left now, happy growing peeps 💚🌿🌱

Plan to use both as mother plants for next grow. April 3rd Captains log...tired of Covid 19! :) Watered plants from top for last time on phlizon side...turned on second reservoir. If all goes according to plan will be last time I water from top and plants will drink from reservoir for rest of grow. Will top plants next week once they drI nk about half of reservoir. Seeds have tails and been moved to soil and will be mothers for next grow
