Week 4: Growth Spurts and New Challenges Continued Growth and Health As we move into the fourth week, the plants are showing impressive growth. Their leaves are a lush, vibrant green, and the stems are becoming stronger. The transition to the larger 11-liter fabric pots has clearly paid off, providing the roots with ample space and better aeration. Adjusting Nutrient Levels Given their positive response to the nutrients, I decided to continue with 2/3 of Terra Aquatica Tripart feeding schedule, adjusting slightly to meet their increasing demands. Here's the updated feeding plan for this week: CalMag: 2.5 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.50 mS/cm) Grow: 1.5 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 0.5 ml/l EC: 1.2 mS/cm (600 ppm PPM-500/TDS) pH: 6.0 Each plant is watered with approximately 20% runoff to ensure there's no nutrient buildup in the coco mix. I will maintain this nutrient level until the pre-flowering stage to avoid the risk of nutrient burn due to over-fertilization. Weather Improvements and Adjustments The weather has been steadily improving, with temperatures expected to rise to around 25°C starting Wednesday, accompanied by abundant sunshine. This upcoming forecast is excellent news for my plants, as I anticipate a final growth spurt before flowering begins. Every centimeter of growth counts at this stage, and I'm optimistic about maximizing their potential under these favorable conditions. Strengthening with Wind Exposure On days with good weather, I move the plants out of the greenhouse to expose them to natural wind. This practice helps strengthen their stems, improving overall stability. Additionally, the wind creates a more challenging environment for pests, helping to keep them at bay. Smart Watering Strategy I only water the plants when the pots feel noticeably lighter. This encourages the roots to search for water, promoting the development of a stronger and more extensive root system. This method helps ensure the plants remain healthy and resilient. Pest Management: Observations and Actions At the beginning of the third week, I noticed dark discolorations on the undersides of some leaves. A few days later, these spots turned into yellow patches. I am still unsure about the cause of these spots. To prevent a potential insect infestation, I sprayed all the leaf surfaces, both top and bottom, with a mildly dosed neem oil mixture. Since then, the spots have not spread further. Because these discolorations are only affecting the lower leaves, they are not causing me significant concern at the moment. Regular inspections and preventive measures are crucial to maintaining the health of the plants and ensuring that any issues are caught early. Decision Against LST At first I have decided against using LST. But some of your comments made me try some LST on two of my plants. I choose Tangie and Gorilla cookies to try out and learn some stuff. Blue dream and Banana purple punch stay without any training. Week 5 of flower is over! This grow is going by so fast because I'm so busy with so many other things I feel like I haven't really paid much attention to these girls but they are doing so well. Bulking up heavy now. Smell is amazing. Very dense buds. Can't wait to try this one out. Few weeks left now.

Week 6 is coming to an end. Some very explosive growth over the past few weeks. The biology in my garden must be on point! Haven’t really switched things up that much. Did some more LST/HST and added some molasses in my last watering. Will be flipping to flower once week 8 is upon me. Till next week! ✌️🏾

Hi growers, Another week of flowering is behind us. Trichome production is very strong, the aroma is intense and pungent, and the buds are noticeably sticky. The plant is still gaining weight, but rather slowly. I think this plant won’t be a yield champion, but the flavor and aroma could easily make up for it. Peace and happy growing ✌️

Flowering is really stunned in this very cold weather, still a fun thought seeing my plant still alive while all the tree already have lost their leaves. Today i chopped the remaining branches on my right maincola, the left will stay 1 to 3 more weeks, im gonna push that one with all the risk of every risk🤗 i wett trimmed the branches again and hanged them, after i took away the first drying batch from 10 days ago. I weighted that what was still hanging at 49 grams dry weight, adding up to a total of 64 grams so far... Im guessing the total amount of dry weight on this plant will be around 300 grams unfortunately... If this would have flowered lets say 1,5 month earlier( like it was fking expecter to do!!!) It would have made a kilo for sure

Dont know why but while i was defoliating the Chemdog smelled a little bit like soap haha. Turned on the reservoir for a couple of minutes. (Till the AutoPots are full and the valve closes) Rised the pots aswell, so the canopy is very even. I let them recover from the heavy defoliation i did, and next week i will slowly increase the light's strength. (Now still at 50% 50cm)

Week of admiring this girl is drinking water every 2 days without problems something big to take I need a lot more of that in my garden her resistance and incredible leaving in its natural form you only feed and observe because it makes great sprouts with incredible sugar, aroma sweet, previous weeks in veg the defoliation of everything that was underneath made something bigger in equal proportions, it really doesn’t need big lights to show its potential I believe that improving in each specific strain you know each one, being able to understand more and improve. day 64 buds are getting fatter and really moving taller. will take a while to finish no doubt.. lots of new calyx growth and pistils. i came to conclusion i was letting the plants get too dry before a top up.. trying to keep more moist. let the boost and rhizo get to work and keep the soil niiice. doubtful this notthern lights is gonna fade much.. after having cut a branch for a vase, afyer a week its still a dsrk mint green with no fade. compared to my bb which faded completly... looks super healthy if not a little too much nitrogen... not seeing too much N curl in buds which im happy about.

Coming along nicely. It's cool to see that different plants have different styles of revegging. This one is super clustered and comes straight out of the buds. Check out my Acai gelato reveg, it has like full ass branches coming out and looks more nice and neat than this one. I gave her a top dress of terp teas grow 711 and Dr earth 463

Hello Diary, White Widow has completed its last week, the journey has come to an end. Two days after the photo shoot, I harvested White Widow along with her roommates. 73 days since I put the seeds in the ground. 65 days since the start of the vegetation. Really very fast, although it has somehow become the standard on my small farm. But I am still fascinated by how quickly the plant goes through its cycle when it has the most ideal conditions. I don't necessarily mean myself, I try to give the plants the best I can and know how. As you can see in the photos, the result is impressive, White Widow turned out to be a real beauty. This phenotype painted White Widow in purple. The flowers are hard and dense, the branches bend under their weight. One branch even broke when I was setting it up for the photo shoot. That purple color gives it a special look. Some of the leaves have taken on autumn colors, which is also one of the signs that it has matured. This week I continued to observe the samples under the microscope, waiting for the trichomes to turn milky. On the day of the photo shoot, which was day 63, most of the trichomes were milky, some even brown. The smell is very intense, the whole room smells like plants when I open the grow box. I barely wash my fingers after examining the plants. Watering was standard, every three days. This week I stopped adding nutrients, I just lowered the p.H. to 6.0 and water the plants with clean water. After the photo shoot, she was in the grow box for two more days to drink all the water from the soil so that the drying would be more efficient. Before cutting, I removed all the leaves from the plant to also make drying easier and have less work to trim the dried flowers. But also to prevent the formation of potential mold. After cutting, I left her upside down in the grow box to dry. Now I'm waiting for the flowers to dry well and to see how much White Widow has really rewarded me. See you when that happens. Here's what the last week looked like. 19/09/2024 - Day 57. Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water, lowered the pH to 6.0 and used that amount to water all three plants on the farm. 22/09/2024 - Day 60. Watering. I repeated the same procedure as three days earlier. 24/09/2024 - Day 62. I watered them all with 1.5 liters of water each plant so they would be fresh for the photos. 25/09/2024 - Day 63. End of the last, 9th week since Purple Lemonade began its journey. Photos. 27/09/2024 - Day 65. White Widow has been harvested. The trichomes are 70% milky, 20% amber and 10% clear. The nutrients have been used up and the lady is allowed to stay a few days before she comes into the darkroom for 48 hours before the harvest. Of course there is an extra update for this :-). Otherwise the week was poured 3 times with 1.2 l. The tent was cleaned and all women checked. Sorry I couldn't get better pictures but I'll try again tomorrow. This strain certainly deserves it. Very low leaf to bud ratio on this plant. Dark pink or orange stigmas retracted into the buds as they finished and one pheno had the densest nugs I've ever grown. This year realky showed me the difference of quality seeds compared to "local" clones. After a rainstorm on the large fluffier pheno I found a "trapped" bumblebee inside one of the massive colas. I had to help it out. It was literally "stuck" due to the resin. This strain had the most pleasant aroma that stuck with the finished product. Due to the small amount of leaf to bud ratio this plant was a breeze to trim. That being said I still don't have it ALL manicured up but I'm working on it. All plants seemed fairly pest resistant as well. If you enjoy indica strains (90/10) with short flowering times than this should certainly be on your "to grow list." Having these plants totally finish before October was very helpful. According to many local growers (both patients and commercial growers) this was "the worst year for growing cannabis in memory." I've had the best year I've had in decades (probably ever) both quality and quantity wise.
