Bonjour à tous les padawans et les maîtres jedis Jour42 ma plante entre bien en floraison je pratique sur elle une defolliation pour permettre aux têtes de prendre la lumière La floraison des plantes de cannabis La plante de cannabis passe par différentes étapes de vie avant de parvenir à la récolte. Ces étapes sont : la germination, la pré-croissance, la croissance et la floraison. Pour les autofloraisons il n'est pas nécessaire d'avoir de changer le cycle de lumière elle entre en floraison automatiquement voilà d'où elle tient son nom "d'autofloraison" L'origine de l'auto-floraison vient de la sous-espèce "cannabis sativa ruderalis" , qui à l'origine produit de très faibles niveaux de THC. C'est en croisant cette variété de marijuana avec d'autres qui produisent des niveaux de THC plus élevés qu'à vu le jour ce magnifique compromis que sont les variétés auto-fleurissantes avec des taux de THC très satisfaisants. En parallèle, cela a permis d'améliorer la production de ces variétés, qui initialement étaient exceptionnellement basse. Pour des résultats optimaux, en culture Outdoor (extérieur), je recommande que la germination des graines de marijuanaAuto-flo se fasse entre avril et août. En culture Indoor(intérieur), la photopériode idéale que ce soit pour la croissance comme pour la floraison est de 20h de lumière. N'oubliez pas que ces graines ne sont pas tributaires de la photopériode pour passer en floraison. Il est préférable d'utiliser des pots d'une capacité de 10 à 20L dès le début, étant donné que leur cycle de vie est réduit, les auto-flo n'ent pas besoin de plus de volume pour se développer. Vu sa petite taille (et la discrétion) elle fait l'objet d'un bon choix pour la culture de cannabis sur balcons. La première variété de Lowryder auto-floraison a été créé à partir de cannabis indica sativa croisé avec des génétiques de cannabis sativa rudelaris par la banque de graines de marijuana "The Joint Doctor". Puis vinrent la White Dwarf de "Buddha Seeds", la Roadrunnerde "Dinafem", l' Auto Stoned d' "Autofem", la Speed Devil de "Sweet Seeds" , la Maxi Gom de "Grassomatic", la Flash, la Gnomo de Kannabiaet bien d'autres. Jour42 defolliation (video) Avant toute chose n'oublions pas de bien désinfecter ses outils et bien ce laver les mains. Quesque la defolliation ? LES CULTIVATEURS AMATEURS, PRENEZ GARDE, MAIS NE PRENEZ PAS PEUR La défoliation consiste à retirer les feuilles des plants de cannabis en intérieur afin d'accroître le rendementfinal. Le cultivateur amateur doit faire preuve de vigilance lorsqu'il commence à appliquer cette technique de taille. Malgré le débat sans fin entre ceux qui prônent cette technique et ceux qui la dénigre, il n'y aucune raison pour qu'un amateur ne s'y essaie pas afin de voir si ça lui convient ou non. COMMENT DÉFOLIER Que vous tailliez les feuilles ou les branches des plants de cannabis, il vaut mieux utiliser un sécateur stérile qui est confortable en main. Arracher des feuilles à la main manque de finesse et engendre souvent par accident, l'arrachement des couches d'une tige en plus de la feuille. L'objectif principal de la défoliation est de permettre une meilleure pénétration de la lumière et de promouvoir la production de plus grosses têtes. Les feuilles éventails qui font de l'ombre doivent être retirées. Tailler la tige principale et/ou les pousses secondaires n'est pas de la défoliation. La règle d'or lorsque vous donnez à vos plantes un rafraîchissement est de commencer avec les feuilles nourricières les plus grandes et les plus larges, en taillant du bas vers le haut. Il est important de retirer les feuilles stratégiquement et non pas au hasard. Pensez également qu'il vous faut limiter votre rafraîchissement à approximativement 10 à 20 % des feuilles totales de votre pied. Il est très facile de s'emporter durant la taille et de se retrouver avec des plantes chauves. Un excès de taille de feuilles empêchera la photosynthèse et paralysera vos plants. QUAND FAUT-IL DÉFOLIER Il est assez rare d'appliquer la défoliation comme seule technique pour obtenir un fort rendement. La taille des feuilles est généralement associée à d'autres méthodes de tailles et de palissage pour un meilleur rendement telles que le topping ou étêtage, le FIMming, le LST, le manifolding, le supercropping et le ScrOG. Les cultivateurs utilisant la méthode ScrOG auront besoin de retirer toutes les croissances inférieures ainsi que les feuilles et les tiges se trouvant sous le filet. Les plants de cannabis peuvent être défoliés dès lors qu'ils sont passés de la phase de plantule vers la phase de croissance végétative. Cependant, il est recommandé aux cultivateurs amateurs de laisser aux plantes 1 à 2 semaines de croissance végétative avant de s'attaquer à la défoliation de celles-ci. De plus, certaines variétés sont plus sensibles à la taille que d'autres et de ce fait, seront plus stressées par la taille des feuilles. Surveillez minutieusement le comportement de vos plants après la taille. Une période de convalescence de minimum 3 à 7 jours avant de recommencer la défoliation est fortement recommandée pour éviter trop de stress aux plants. Les cultivateurs peuvent également défolier pendant la phase de floraison, ce qui permettra à l'énergie de la plante d'être concentrée vers la production de têtes tout en limitant l'ombre et l'excès d'humidité. Néanmoins, il est important de ne pas défolier trop tard sous peine de simplement blesser ses plants inutilement. LES AVANTAGES DE LA DÉFOLIATION Évidemment, l'avantage numéro un de la défoliation, c'est l'augmentation du potentiel de rendement de cette technique de taille pour tous types de cannabis allant de la photopériode aux variétés autofloraison. Ce n'est pas un secret que les fleurs qui reçoivent plus de lumières deviennent plus grandes et larges que celles dissimulées dans l'ombre des feuilles. De plus, retirer les feuilles intérieures des plants touffus aide à prévenir toutes menaces de moisissure. Les plants très feuillus avec un feuillage intérieur dense produiront une quantité importante de têtes pop-corn. Dans le pire des cas, les branches de têtes et les têtes qui sont denses succomberont au pourrissement. Si vous observez des gouttes d'eau se former sur la surface des feuilles, il est grand temps de penser à faire de la défoliation. Libérer la zone inférieure et médiane des feuilles est un excellent moyen d'améliorer la circulation de l'air. LES DÉSAVANTAGES DE LA DÉFOLIATION Les plants de cannabis en intérieur bénéficient de la défoliation pour deux raisons. La première est parce qu'ils reçoivent la lumière d'une source stationnaire au-dessus d'eux, et la deuxième est parce que les conditions environnementales sont contrôlées par le cultivateur et non Mère Nature. Les plants d'extérieurs eux, n'y gagnent pas beaucoup, car les cas échéants se vérifient pour eux. Le soleil traverse le ciel, illuminant sur sa route, différentes portions de la plante de son lever à son coucher. Les cultivateurs en extérieur n'ont pas besoin de manipuler les plantes afin qu'elles se développent en adoptant une structure plate puisque le soleil est infiniment plus puissant que n'importe quelle lampe de culture et qui plus est, il est toujours en mouvement. Tailler les feuilles des plants extérieurs les rend également plus vulnérables aux conditions humides et brise leurs barrières naturelles contres les nuisibles. De nombreux cultivateurs d'intérieur peuvent, et malheureusement, c'est souvent le cas, réduire le rendement final à cause d'une défoliation faite au mauvais moment et/ou excessive. Tailler les plantules n'est pas conseillé et engendre souvent des plants nains. Scalper les plants matures est encore pire, et au lieu d'obtenir de longues branches de têtes, vous obtiendrez probablement encore moins de fleurs. De même, tailler des plants malades ou en mauvaise santé à n'importe quelle période de la croissance risque de paralyser la croissance plutôt que d'encourager la formation de fleurs denses. The crisping of the leaves where bothering me so I decided to do a hard flush of the plants to lower what I think was a EC issue. I was also wondering about the PH and it was on point at 6.8 from the flush water I gathered. I do not own a EC pen so could not monitor that aspect of it. It looks like it may have helped a bit. Hard to tell at this point the death has slowed a lot and I am seeing fading signs that I am used to seeing so it makes me feel a bit better. I think I have stunted this growth a bit because of this mishap but should still be a good harvest. The soils temp is getting down to 12c at night, The ambient air temps of the tent are aorund 15-18 at night though. Good for adding colour into the fade. During the say its keep steady around 26-27. Starting to smell more and more and loving every time I open the tent. Given they are stuck in a scrog net trying to remove the bottom trays to empty them cause them to be rustled a bit and they released a lot of lovely scents. I am in the last week or two now. Will be giving them one more heavy molasses feeding and then nothing else. They got their last ChitoSal and I think it made this plant more frosty then the Blue Cindy, would really need a side by side to confirm if its working at all. Will monitor its length from the SCROG net vs soil as its easier to measure. 33cm from SCROG net to base of plant 33cm from SCROG net to tip of plant Total 66cm for week eight of flower. +/-0cm from Last Week, all done growing now Just like last week I am no longer posting about the clones in this diary. Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. Starting week #3 Day 15 We are so happy, she's looking great we can't wait to taste it, they say it's 9 weeks but I think she's going to be ready at 13weeks plus cure and dry process So like 16/17 weeks maybe I don't know we will see at the end of the road, right now she's looking good We plan on to increase nutrients to 7.5ml For her meal we are going to split it Wednesday 3.25 and Sunday 3.25ml Flora nova grow We will keep you posted, any advise please let me know I appreciate it Good vibes Day 16 Gave them. 3.25ml floranova grow mix in 1gallon of water (690ppm) Lets see how they handle it Plan on to give them 3.25ml more on Sunday if they do good :) Day 17 As you can see we take them daily to get sunbaths, daylight, sunlight, since it's the best source of light Day 18 She's getting big and big everyday, soon we gonna have to replace the pot to a bigger one Day 19 We built up a circle fence for better netting and also continue to give them sunbaths early morning Day 20 She's taking all nutrients very well She's growing gorgeous she's so awesome Day 21 Fed them as always do on Sunday but this time 3.25ml or 940ppm. A good week of growth as she’s filling out nicely , started LST and she responded well . Gave her a flush and stepped up the veg nutes hopefully gonna double in size again this week during the beginning of flower

She has finally started some growth that I’m looking for. Trimmed her up 2 weeks ago and her new leaves/shoots are filling the spots. Lateral growth as well. Slight Flowering on the very bottom of plant so next week is the start of week

Defoliated throughout the days. The past week nutrients fed were at ph 5.7/5.8. Switched to 6.0 now. Smell is strong. Friend commented he could smell the red pop upon entering the front door immediately. Feeding to run off every other day still. Added calmag this week. Not sure if I will continue to use or not. I do not want it to affect colors from changing as I approach later into flower. Added a temp & humidity meter this week. Usually reset once a day, or every other day.

🌱 Amnesia Skunk — Grow Update Week 6 From Seed · 12/12 From Seed (Early Flower / ~Week 2 Flowering Transition) Quick Recap (for new joiners) This run is 12/12 from seed, and we are now at Week 6 from seed, which places us roughly in early flower / second week of flowering transition, depending on how one prefers to count. No aggressive interventions, no forcing. This grow is based on observation, leaf positioning, and letting the plant express herself naturally. Amnesia Skunk has shown: • Strong vertical intent • Beautiful internodal spacing • A structure that responds extremely well to simple leaf bending She is clearly in flower mode now and transitioning smoothly. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Update (and Why It Matters) • Day temperature: ~28°C • Humidity: ~65% Outside temperatures are still on the cooler side, but inside the room things have shifted naturally. As plant mass increased, lighting intensity was raised, and under-canopy lighting was introduced, the room itself became a stable heat source. This allowed us to raise temperatures without adding external heating or forcing conditions. This balance is important because it keeps plant metabolism active but relaxed, especially during early flower. VPD Perspective At ~28°C and ~65% RH, we are sitting in a comfortable early-flower VPD range, supporting: • Active transpiration • Nutrient mobility • Strong gas exchange Nothing extreme, nothing restrictive. ⸻ 💡 Lighting & Atmosphere (Why These Numbers Work) • PPFD: ~600–850 (depending on plant size and position) • CO₂: ~900 ppm The PPFD range allows: • Smaller or lower sites to stay productive • Taller tops to push without stress This avoids the classic mistake of lighting only for the tops and forgetting the rest of the plant. CO₂ at ~900 ppm is intentionally moderate, not excessive. At this stage, it supports: • Faster carbon assimilation • Better light-use efficiency • No need to overfeed to “match” the CO₂ Everything stays balanced. ⸻ 🌬️ Airflow Strategy (This Is Not Random) • Vortex extraction • Cross-winds with multiple fans • Constant, gentle movement across the canopy The goal here is movement, not wind. Vortex extraction keeps fresh air cycling efficiently, while cross-winds prevent: • Microclimates • Stagnant humidity pockets • Weak stem development Leaves move gently, stems strengthen naturally, and flowers stay dry and comfortable as they form. Fresh air, no stress, no stagnation. ⸻ 💧 Feeding & Nutrition Strategy (Why the Change Now) • EC: 2.4 • pH: 6.5 This week marks a clear nutritional transition, guided by plant signals rather than calendar dates. Why pH 6.0+ from now on? As plants enter flower, nutrient uptake priorities shift: • Less focus on pure vegetative nitrogen pathways • More demand for elements tied to flower formation, enzyme activity, and energy transfer A slightly higher pH improves availability and balance of these elements in soil-based systems. The plant is clearly asking for it — posture, color, and growth rate all confirm this. ⸻ 🌱 Nutrient Change Explained • Removed: Terra Grow • Introduced: Terra Bloom — 5 ml/L Why remove Terra Grow now? Terra Grow is nitrogen-forward, designed to push vegetative mass. At this stage, excess veg-driven nitrogen can: • Delay flower focus • Encourage unnecessary leaf production • Blur the plant’s hormonal transition Why introduce Terra Bloom now? Terra Bloom supports: • Flower site development • Structural energy needs • Balanced nutrition without over-pushing foliage This is not a shock change. It’s a handover, and the plant is responding cleanly. ⸻ 🌿 Plant Structure, Leaf Work & Expression Amnesia Skunk continues to show excellent structure. • Leaf bending is the primary training method • No topping chaos, no forced stress • Just guiding light and space This method has: • Opened the canopy naturally • Preserved apical dominance while improving lateral exposure • Allowed the plant to stay confident and upright A few fan leaves were removed during photography — not as a defoliation event, but because they were funky, expressive, and worth documenting.
