Day 86, 5th of December 2020: Similar to my Runtz Gum the same breeder brillinat! Healthy, strong and amazing! Big like! All good nothing much to say! The lamp is now on 11 hours and off 13 hours. Every week 15 minutes was taken off and after 4 weeks here we go. Strated 12/12 and now 13/11 wanted try to imitate the nature as the light days are getting shorter. Fertilization has changed no more epsom salt from this week and I will stop giving nitrogen as well from next week.

Hey folks, Late update this week due to a big rain store we had last Friday. It called for 5mm of rain which equated to about 3.6L of water for each plant! A bit much for young plants with a small root system, but the good news is that the smart fabric pots did thier job to help dry out the soil. Since our last update, I have topped and defoilaited the damaged leafs from my f$%# up last week. Girls are healthy and show no signs of slowing down. I also started some basic LST with 3D printed plastic clips! They work great and I will be modifying them a bit to provide me more angle selection. If you guys wanna know more about these clips please let me know. Other than rotating the pots and doing some regular maintenance, everything looks good, gnat traps are up and so far there are no signs of them which I credit keeping the topsoil dry. I have not water the plants and it is calling for rain tonight into Thursday, so it seems like mother nature is doing God's works of water my plants for me :). Harvest day was 89. Short: Frosty plant, density is lacking, lots of leafs, some mutation, slow growing but big in the end, smells good skunky fruity for now, will update after cure. I have to compare this one to my other plant the Ultra G13 and Brain Freeze lacks a lot. It grows kinda slow, buds are not nearly as dense, trimming was horrible, overall I would say 50/50 fluffy/dense compared to the Ultra G13 85% dense and 15% kinda but not really fluffy in the same system under the same conditions. Total wet yield is just fine, can't say anything bad about that, this is limited by my tent, would have gotten more with this plant as a solo one in the 2x4. Managed to get the Net Cup out of the tube compared to the Ultra G13 which I had to saw of. Overall I would say a plant one can do but nothing to chase for, might update that after cure who knows. Update: dried weight is 280g total, 50/50 dense and fluffy buds but all are frosty, smells like sweet candy, overall a great yield that I did not expect, was kinda stressed with this one since it only came to its potential in the last few weeks but it did came. Will not grow it again in the near future but maybe some time later. Did bake some brownies with it but didn't count how much so I did not add that to the total yield.

well, she spent a week in the growing pot :) it seems the girl was not stressed :) hi, she looks healthy, a bit more leafy, but that's normal, after all, she came from the balcony :D every day I remove a few leaves, because there are a lot of them, she still has a week left and will be cut off: (I would like to give her a little more time, but I'm going on vacation and I don't have anyone to leave such work :) so I'd better cut it earlier :).

This has been another awesome week. She has been doing extremely well. Her recovery time from her first topping, to the point where I could top her again, was almost 2 weeks to the nose. So we have topped her a 2nd time this week. She is now at 4 nodes. I am expecting/hoping to be topping her again for the final time in another 2 weeks. From there, Its Veg time, A Lolli popping, And then Flower Flower Flower. This week she will also be moving into a bigger tent. My bloom tent is currently empty, so I am going to move her over early, get a little more light, and be ready for flower. This also allows me to use the veg tent for my other fresh started grow. Don't worry, I have just installed a camera into the bloom tent, so we will continue with the time lapse videos as best as possible. Some adjustments may be needed as Cotton Grows, but I have already thought ahead and "should" be ready. Notice the "'s around should.

The week starts Monday, Jan-13 in flowering stage. The plant is growing fast, stretching long and I'm constantly tying down branches to maintain an even canopy. There's also a stronger scent of lemon already in the tent. Carried out substantial defoliation of almost all the big fan leaves and a few little stems that were not likely to make it above the canopy. Avoided defoliating the major cola branches. This encourages the plant not to waste resources on a node which is only going to produce “popcorn” buds. The plants reacted well to the defoliation and were looking good by the end of the light cycle for the day. The net is completely full and this will be the last week of applying any LST as part of the ScrOG setup. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy, with daily fertigation at lights on - watering almost 3L per day. Lowered the average RH in the space to 50%. ----prior 4 weeks updates ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Jan-06 in flowering stage. The net is filling up nicely with the ScrOG process being enjoyable - just tucking branches nicely under squares once stretched enough. Lost a branch end with 3 nodes accidentally whilst tucking away so now I'm super careful. The Sativa dominant strain is stretching nicely and bends easily. Minor defoliation of lower branches and fan leaves continues daily. Light is maintained at 30cm distance from canopy. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-30 in vegetative stage - switching the light regime to flowering. Initiated flowering with an extended dark period prior to switching light regime - this practice is supposed to promote a faster initiation of flowering by the plant. Maintain lights off from Dec-31, 10:00 until Jan 1 - 18:45 allowing a 32hr darkness period prior to switching the light regime. Light regime is set for 12.5/11.5 on/off allowing me a better maintenance window for my living situation. Both plants are growing fast and strong, showing their genetic traits. Some shoots are going through the net already. Have started to tuck branches as they grow to fill up any gaps. Did minor defoliation on both plants near their stem base and centres. Some green algae on roots/coco medium on the surface of the pot. Have defoliated some more which hopefully helps with air circulation at the area. Will monitor over the week - may need to decrease watering frequency, although they seem to be keeping up drinking. Lowered the High Humidity setting of the extraction fan to 60% - which effectively keeps it running at least 75% of the time, and removed the humidifier. Will monitor and adjust as necessary lowering the setting to 50% in a few weeks whilst flowering. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The week starts Monday, Dec-23 in vegetative stage. Installed the ScrOG net - Set at 20cm from the base of the plants, being 55cm from ground. The plant is showing great growth, lots of branching and new growth sprouts. A few branches are beginning to come through the net and almost all main branches are now tied down horizontally after the two recent toppings. Applied more LST and will wait for the branches to reach the net and start tucking. The AC Infinity fan is currently only running intermittently with its current settings. This seems to impact the utilisation and effectiveness of the carbon filter in use. The desired outcome is for the fan to be running for longer periods whilst in Auto config. Lowered the High Level Humidity from 70% to 60%, and more importantly, lowered the Max Speed from 4 to 2 with the intent that a lower fan speed will result in longer periods where the extraction fan is operated to remain below threshold targets for the grow space. Plant growth continues to be strong at the end of the week. Big fan leaves near the top are beginning to look a little serrated and dark, similar to the start of this grow. This may be due to the extra CalMag being added which was the issue at the start of the grow. Will keep monitoring and half the CalMag dosage on next feed. Importantly, I have learnt nutrient mixing of the CalMag should be done prior to the Canna Coco A & B. To date I have done the opposite which may explain my earlier issues. Fertigating daily at the start of the light cycle.
