Another 8 days have gone by and they still love it. Done some more defoliating and treated with nematodes due to fungusgnat population got to big. Should be a smooth ride from here on.

This was an easy and productive run. The 2 plants grew up in an overcrowded environment, and as a result, they did stretch a lot. Nodes were spaced but this wasn't a real issue since they both produced a decent weight. Fun/Strange fact: the TOPped one produced 77 grams and the FIMmed one produced 84 grams, very close results with two different methods. I took a clone of the FIMmed one, and it's already 50cm tall, almost ready to flower. The buds are compact and solid as a rock, the earthy taste is hard to describe but 100% unique and yummy. I'm totally in love with this strain!

Die GorillaZkittlez wurde an Tag66/45F abgeschnitten und ging in den einzelnen Trieben zum trocknen in einen Karton wo ein kleiner PC-Lüfter verbaut ist um die Luft in Bewegung zu halten. Ich musste leider wärend dem ernten wieder einiges wegschneiden. Das nasse Wetter hat etwas schimmel in die Blüte gebracht. Insgesamt sind dadurch bestimmt ⅓ - ¼ der Buds im Müll gelandet. War bei dem Wetter der letzten zwei Wochen auch zu erwarten. Um den Rest der Buds safe in die Gläser zu bekommen, gab es für die buds einen ordentlichen wet-trim um weiteren schimmel zu vermeiden. Nach 5 Tagen waren die buds ferig um ins Glas zu kommen. 20.5g kamen am Ende trocken raus. Bei ca 10g die schimmel hatten, ist das Ergebnis für die kurze Zeit und die erste outdoor-ernte halbwegs zufriedenstellend. Der Geschmack und die Wirkung trösten allerdings über den Verlust bei der Ernte hinweg. Das würzige dominiert den Geschmack. Allerdings kommen fruchtige untertöne im Abgang zum Vorschein. GorillaZkittlez kam wärend des Wachstums gut mit dem wechselhaften Wetter zurecht. Nur die Buds nicht🤣 Allerdings hatten die Ladys auch keinerlei Schutz vor Regen und waren dem Wetter komplett ausgeliefert. Der strain wird trotzdem wieder sein weg in den Garten finden💚

Fat Banana doubles in size this week and starts to develop some true leaves. Taken out of the humidity dome & moved a lot closer to the CFL now, roughly 4-5 inches. Roots looking healthy and developing nicely, will be transplanting in the coming week to a slightly larger pot when I'll also introduce some 1/4 strength veg nutes.

Grow Diary Update: Week 5 - Pre-Flowering and LST Evaluation Entering Pre-Flowering Stage At the end of last week, the first pistils appeared, marking the beginning of the pre-flowering stage for my plants 🙌 There's much to manage now. To support optimal stretching, I've adjusted the nutrients following 2/3 of the Terra Aquatica feeding schedule: CalMag: 2 ml/l (Starting EC before adding nutrients: 0.45 mS/cm) Grow: 1.33 ml/l Bloom: 1.0 ml/l Micro: 1.33 ml/l The nutrient solution now has an EC of 1.3 mS/cm (638 ppm PPM-500/TDS) with a pH of 6.1. These adjustments aim to promote vigorous growth and prepare the plants for flowering. Weather and Growth With significant weather improvements, my plants are thriving at full speed. Every centimeter gained now counts towards maximizing the final yield, turning around from the challenging weeks prior. Pest Management I'm fortunate not to have encountered pests like spider mites, aphids, or thrips. However, the persistent snail issue remains. Nightly patrols with a flashlight have been effective, and placing old lettuce leaves away from the plants has helped trap and remove snails, ensuring the plants remain undisturbed. LST Experiment Results The two plants I trained with LST have responded admirably, showing healthy adaptation to the bending and vigorous growth. Yet, I'm at a crossroads regarding the upcoming stretch phase: should I continue to tie down branches to maintain an even canopy or allow natural upward growth to potentially boost vertical yield? This strain is the best thing I've ever grown in my life. It is absolutely my favorite of all. It always was, and always will be my prime top choice.
