2nd ever grow and first time using Fastbuds genetics. I'm running 3x Six Shooter, 2x Pineapple Express and 1x Crystal Meth. I'll be starting diaries shortly for the other 2 strains as I'm hoping that these plants might be good enough to enter in diary of the month competition. I was supposed to be going with 3x Shooter and 3x Pinapple express but unfortunately even though I germinated 4 of each, only 50% of my seeds sprouted. I know theres only 2 six shooter in the photo but a friend of mine has one spare from a batch hes germinated so has kindly given it to me. The Crystal meth was a free gift seed so I'm running that in place of the dud pineapple seed. I've put them in a little 1x1x1 veg box that I built this weekend. Made it to fit alongside my larger tent. Plan for these girls is to veg them in the box for 3 weeks under the cheap 300w LED with plenty of co2 then move them to the bigger tent where I have 4x 315w CMH lamps. All 3 will be topped and if I have space will go under a scrog. They are actually only 4 days old since sprouting but I do all of my diaries on a Sunday as I get chilled early and have time to take photos and do weekly reports. See you guys next week!

These 3 are getting a great start to life sharing my veg box with Pinapple Express and now a Cream Cookies. The 2 smallest have been germinated by myself as of last weeks diary. The largest was kindly given to me by a friend but hasn't had such a good start to life as you can see in the photo. It has some strange none symmetrical growth which was down to him using a worn out metal halide vegging bulb. It does seem to be recovering under the LED but I've no idea what it's going to turn out like. Only time will tell.

Hey! Week 3 done and dusted. An easy week for these girls. All 6 of the strains I have in this environment seem to absolutely love it. Responding really well to the feed level and light they are given. I topped them last night between the 3rd and 4th node. Final week under the LED. Next week they will go into 20 litre pots and my big tent with 4x 315w CMH lights.

Bit of a turbulent week in the Parlour. -Transplanted into 20liter propots -Moved to main tent -Struggled with environment yet again The weather and season here is causing some environmental issues. Struggling to get a continuous humidity. It's either sat sweet at 65-70% or seriously dry at 35%. I just cant quite manage that with the kit I've currently got. Despite it these are soldiering on if not looking a little small. They also needed a little extra N so have had a day or 2 with a couple of yellow lower leaves. My new co2 should be in the tent mid week so hoping that helps undo any damage done.

A great week for these SixShooter. I've added some pictures of my new Ecotechnics Co2 Controller. This is set to dose a sealed environment to 1600ppm. I have it set to the correct number on the controller to reach that amount but have my extractor on 35% as I dont want to give them too much. Anyone looking might notice some injured leaves on one of the plants. I spotted it last week and still have no idea what was spilt on them to make them burn like this. That plant seems to have recovered from the assault and both are flying along. As per the phtots I'm planning to scrog these so it's a little hard to get good photos but I will update mid week. Added some more close up photos at day 40. Looks like these girls are on track for a 6 week veg which is exactly what I would have wanted if I'd grown a photoperiod strain. They are just starting to show me their pistils and the new growth is that familiar thin lighter green colour. New week update on Sunday.

Grow Questions

Hey guys, just a general question regarding my set up. Reason for trying these Six Shooter is mainly down to the potential big yeilds that FastBuds claim can be achieved. I'm looking for advise on a sure fire strain that can achieve big yeilds. Please hit me up with suggestions!

Hey there so strain wise i think any you pick with a skunk or haze background can be very rewarding, but some take a much longer flowering time... Genetics are hugely important but regardless of seeds there are many factors in your power to help yields. Such as light hours and intensity-so tie down where you can, and remove low biomass like unusable leaves and popcorn buds getting minimal to no light. Defoliate where necessary and open the budsites to light. Then do your best to maintain the perfect environment like temp/humidity(possibly check a vpd chart for your area) and be giving good nutrients but dont over do it. Sometimes more isn't always best. Some small tricks are things like molasses during flower can help with buds and flavor by adding much needed sugar to your root zone. Happy growing ✌️

These 2 Six Shooter have really settled in now. Massive amounts of growth if you look back at last weeks diary. Both also just starting to show signs of flower. No deficiency in either which is a great way to start their first week of flower. Along with my Pinapple these will get all the under growth chopped out next week. The light i used to veg them kept the internodal space very short but it's also meant they are mega bushy and theres a lot of undergrowth that's not receiving any light and taking energy from the healthier tops. Very thirsty plants. They have taken 6 litres every 48 hours and I believe they will most likely need that every 24 hours once deep into flower. I'm excited to see just how good a strain this is........ so much so that I've germinated another 6 seeds and will be doing a full Six Shooter scrog when this grow is complete. Added 2 more photos at day 45. Starting to really fill the net out. Undergrowth has been chopped away. I'll keep spreading them out untill I run out of empty squares in the net. After that I'm at thier mercy. Loving this frow so far.

First week of flower in the Parlour. They started the week receiving a feed of 1.8ec Calcium at 6.4 PH. Reason being the Pinapple they are sharing the tent with were showing cal deficiency with patchy leaves and some major droop. Back on regular feeding schedule now and needing a watering every day. I'm doing a day of ph water then next day nute feed. Stops any build up but also keeps costs down. If they show any deficiencies then I'll take the hit and switch to nutrients every day. The BioGreen range I'm using is exactly that, biological. So in theory there shouldn't be any salt issues. As in the title its my first time trying autos so I'm pretty impressed with how much flower they have produced in just 7 days. One seems to be a slightly different pheno but both are looking happy and healthy.

2 weeks into flower and you'd think it was more like week 4. I can already tell this is going to be a great yeild and great way to finish the year. So resilient. Despite high nutrient levels shes not showing any burn and stacking on the the buds. I've handpicked a few central leaves from around the more dense areas. The shorter more developed plant of the pair already smells phenomenal. Like rotten mango and orange zest. Already very sticky too. one thing I am suprised about is the lack of stretch. I really expected them to get much taller but it seems they are solely focused on flower production. That is something I will bare in mind on my next run. Check back for mid week updates.

Astounded by just how good this genetic is. FastBuds really hit the nail on the head with it. Smell is delicious and it's now at the point where I open the zips on the tent even an inch the stink just hits you. 3 weeks flowering and the main colas are thicker than any finished buds I've ever seen. The two phenos are still very much different but very similar in smell. The taller one has colas twice the lenght but half the thickness. I'm predicting these will be ready to chop down right around my birthday!!! Would be a sweet gift!

Sorry for the poor quality photos this week. I will update it at some point when I can get some photos in the dark with the flash on. With the tent being so packed and the plants under a net it's very difficult to get any quality pictures. Powering on and fattening up. They've had roughly 30 flowering days and I'm expecting mabey 20 more. Some of the biggest buds have foxtailed but I'm not too upset. They are so huge and I'm only expecting them to get thicker from here on out. Updated photos with an A4 sheet of paper behind them to try and show how wide the buds are on these girls. They are a bit airy at the moment compared to the Pinapple Express next door but with 2-3 weeks left I'm expecting them to bulk out.

This week has been all about the trichomes! They haven't really started to frost up to this point but I've just been in the tent to get some photos any my god are they sticky! The size and density of the buds on the shorter plant is beyond belief. The scrog net has worked incredibly well creating a thick even canopy. I recommend this technique to any grower including newbies like myself. Final week of full strength nutes. As of next week I'm expecting they will start to fade out a bit. I still think they could mabey go another 2 weeks before starting a flush. Time isn't really a problem for me im happy to let them go on as long as they need to reach full potential. Even at this point regardless of the outcome I'll definitely give this strain another grow. Its soooo easy to grow and the size is phenomenal. Stinks of stomped oranges with a hint of pepper. Wow.

Such a great strain. No change in size this week but frost keeps on coming and the density seems to be improving daily. Great size buds. Some bigger than milk cartons. None smaller than a coke can. Smell still citrusy but the pepper element it getting more potent now. Dropped the EC down below 1.5 now for the final week of nutes. Starting to see a little fade on them which tells me the timing is right. Less than 2 weeks to go! Sadly I will miss the the actual cutting down of the plants as i will be away in Thailand but should be back in time for the weigh in and dry trim.

7th flowering week complete. We now move into their final week on flush. Check out the final photo from this weeks diary. Taken at 30x magnification you can see how the buds are perfectly ripe with about 5-10% amber trichomes. The plants are also showing beautiful pink and red fruit. They look like strawberries and smell like them too! Right now as I type this up my hands are sticky and smelling great. I think I need to find a way of getting better photos as my camera just doesn't do them justice. Big, fat, heavy, juicy buds. I can tell this one is going to be a record breaker. Cant wait to smoke some.

All in all a great genetic. Grew into insane colas. The photos above are of only half the total yeild as I have 8oz bagged up and sealed. After a weeks curing it has improved but not enough to really blow me away. I'll be back to seek my revenge in the future but for now its goodbye.
