Greetings my dear Jungletamers, So a major surprise came when @MarsHydroLED contacted us and asked if would like to try out their new SP 3000 light. Being a fan of Mars Hydro for years, we of course accepted their offer. We are totally in love with this light. I was when I saw it in another grower's setup and was in awe of its output and results. So with much pride and thankfulness for the presents the Universe bestowed on us, in the form of MarsHydroLEDS offer and the bountiful harvest of the last grow, (which I am thoroughly enjoying btw, such a great weed to have grown ourselves) we start out on a new adventure that we can't wait to share with you. With many lessons learned from the previous grow, a mighty producing strain in the form of Expert Seeds Gorilla Glue #4, a.k.a Expert Gorilla's and a tweaked super soil mixture, we are setting out to hopefully get over a gram per watt, preferably 1.5. The Setup A 4.5 (140 cm) x 2(70) x 6.2 (200) grow tent, giving me a .98 m2 workspace. This space is customized to my needs. A standing fan will provide airflow through the whole grow, a top fan will help guide cooler air past my lights onto the grow. 3 56 ltr pots will be the home for the plants when they are 2 weeks old, up to then in smaller jars. The Light The leading role and star of the show will be played by the Mars Hydro SP-3000, so kindly provided by MarsHydroLED, which we will test and review here and I might say, endorse. I'm very careful with who I endorse and support these days, but a company with that many wins in design, I'm talking ever since their first range came out in 2009 these guys have been raising the bar for the whole industry, I did not hesitate to support this leading brand. If you want to compete with these guys, you better bring some quality AND affordable pricing. Why do I endorse the SP-3000 without ANY hesitation? It is seriously THE BEST light on the market in this price range and size group. It has an enormously effective output in U/Mol and with 30% less energy waste comparing to older LED lights. Prove me wrong! And with a company holding a considerable market share selling thousands of units every month, competing on price and quality, one would think that customer service would suffer. Of course, also Mars Hydro is not perfect, but check the sheer amount of people that not only praise the light but also the service received, should the light somehow not perform up to par. It is this dedication to their customer base that made this company have a fanbase... Yes, a fanbase with a website and a wiki. Lineage: Chem Sis x Chocolate Diesel x Sour Dubb Popularity: Extremely Popular Flavor/Aroma Profile: Chocolate, Earthy, Fuel Yield: 400 g/m2 Stress Tolerance: High resistance to disease Potency: 24% THC Flowering time: 58 - 63 days The Soil: Those who saw my Monstercropped Gelato #33 grow (you should see it if you didn't, I'm so proud of that grow), know about my super soil and organic nutrients/ permaculture tea combo that starred in my previous diary. Because of the great results, we are going to use the same recipe, adjusted some more with some new ingredients that will complete the mix and give an even more sustained super soil buffer. 20% Atami Bi-grow (very similar to ocean forest) 20% Atami worm castings 20% Atami Coco Coir 10% Hydrocorn 10% Peat powder 1 cup Fossil seaweed chalk 1 cup bonemeal 1 cup bloodmeal 1 cup Microlife 3-4 teaspoons of epsom salt 3 cups of activated biochar (activated with our own permaculture tea) I just made layers, starting with hydro corn on the bottom to aid airflow/run-off. On this I started layering the coco coir, Bi-grow, peat, castings, and amendments in a way that the more mature the plants get, the more phosphorous and less nitrogen they will find. Every time I made three layers, I would mix them by hand. This way we simulate natural soil, which consists of humic layers, composting plant waste, fungal and microbial life, and nutrients from fossilized sources. The Nutrients I will start with just adding 6.4 PH water, although this soil should buffer ph itself and regulate, after 4 weeks, I'll slowly be adding: - Biobizz Grow - Plagron Alga Grow - Biobizz CalMag - Biobizz Flower - Plagron Alga Flower - Biobizz Topmax - Melasses The Tea Some of you might remember the permaculture tea from my previous grow, I have a short video in my harvest page showing how we make it), it will star again in this grow. - (Rain)water - Comfrey (whole plants) - Dandelion leaves - Roots and leaves from the earlier grow - Minor periwinkle (Finca minor) is a plant we have in our garden, it contains an alkaloid that is associated with increased brain function but also is a light toxin for wee beasties and other unwanted guests like gnats (who hate it). - When flowering I add some wood ash to this mix Thank you for checking in on one of my grows again! F43 a bit of nutrient burn because of the high temps. SD2 smell : engine grease mixed with kerosine. Imagine spilling grease in a corner of a tire shop. SD2 isnt developing normal and wont probably yield much. SD3 smell : sweet engine grease.Very pleasant. Sour Diesel needs getting used to in terms of smell and aroma

Started some LST. Feeding Molasses and Megacrop. Gonna add some Bud Explosion next time....I see white hairs!

6.4.25: FastBuds Mystery Seed #1: She has been topped twice and is looking pretty strong 💪 She has grown vertically, and leaves are always praying. Possibly too much light, so I have turned the dimmer down to about 90%. There are slight bleached tips on a couple of top leaves. I'm hoping to do the same LST with garden wire here very soon. Overall, the plant has nice big, fat leaves. Seemingly lush colour and vigorously growing since the double toppings. Very nice plant so far. 👌 13.4.25: This week has been so busy in the garden! I forgot to take any notes, so I'll see what I can do from memory! 😅 14.4.25: I have been super busy with all the other harvests in the past several days, so this is a little late. FastBuds Mystery seed #1 has been topped twice and the growth has been thick and lush. I watered several times this week, and I used Ecothrive Biosys with dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. I watered about 2 litres to each plant. I have been using wire, clips, and Bio stretch fabric plant ties to LST the plant. The plant has reached the 8 Gallon pot perimeter. The plant is in the first week of flower. I'm hoping to keep the canopy even with my RQS Northern Lights grow as I need to be able to compare the plants accurately for the experiments. I did snap off a branch, again the day after I said I'd be very careful 😖 The plant is very resilient though, and you wouldn't know anything happened at all, minus one of the first tops is missing. Thankfully I topped twice, so I still have 5 tops. Training Techniques used this week are LST and defoliation. I watered on 13th and 14th with the following solution; 4 litres of dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4 which contained: ♡ 8 ml Xpert Nutrients Cal-Mag amino acids ♡ 1/2 Teaspoon Mega Crop Part A by Greenleaf Nutrients. PPM: 1000. 2 litres were given on two consecutive days. I watered in a top dress, which I will add what I used here, but it was another mess up, I'm sure you'll be surprised to hear 😅 Top dress: 4 gallons containing approximately: 50% Canna Terra Mix soil 25% Worm Castings 23% Perlite 2% Organic Dry Amendments, which were; ☆ Ecothrive Life Cycle ☆ Ecothrive Charge ☆ Diatomaceous Earth ☆ Ground Cinnamon ☆ RHS Mycorrhizal Fungi granules I used the top dress amount for established plants for a pot size of 30L / 8 Gallons. I'm not keen on the soil. I was supposed to get Canna Coco but I got sent Canna Terra in error. It was overdue for a top dress and I had nothing else to use. I don't like it in comparison. Coco is best for my needs. It's much fluffier, lighter, and easier to work with. Thanks for hanging out 🍃 ✌️ 💚 🙂

Iniziamo col top bloom e finiamo col top veg, i fiori iniziano ad essere tali finalmente 😍 Sono riuscito a tenerle basse, pensavo di avere problemi sotto la rete con le due davanti visti i quasi 10 cm d'altezza di differenza rispetto alle altre due, invece riesco a defogliarle bene, non ci sono foglie secche o segni di muffa e la luce e l'aria circolano bene 👍🏼💪🏼

Day 73 since seed touched soil. How amazing she smells, wrote even to MSNL acc, both strains will be GOD's FOOD , i can guarantee it now. Waved/shook few tops to understand how heavy they are and later hands were full of lemony stink, hard to describe, but really tropical gassy ;))) This grow is strange, Cookie now lacks feeding a lot, pales quickly , i see sighns of finishing already, but by bud look and structure - my guess is that she still has 3 weeks to go. Mars Hydro TSL2000 is giving her all power she needs, hopefully those colas will fatten up ! Happy Growing !!!

10/19: This morning when I opened up the closet I wanted to rearrange a little, but they were so packed in, it was almost impossible. So, I went up in the attic and ran some cables and hooked up my other 200w light in the top section. I moved the 4 smallest plants up there and it created a little bit of desperately needed space in the lower section...but I still doubt very seriously that I'll be able to grow all 15 to completion in there..it's only 14.5 square feet of space!😳 10/20: I foliar fed everybody with some SP-90 humic/fulvic acid and kelp me kelp you today. They will probably get fed again tomorrow. Drying out quickly- 10/21: I applied Axiom again today..I sprayed a whole liter of the finest mist I could produce..tops and bottoms of all leaves to the point of runoff. I fixed up a 5 gallon batch of nutes and fed everybody about a 1/4 gallon each. Later the same day.... Several of them look very overwatered..and it's mainly the plants in the back in fabric pots that have seen a grow or two. I think my pots are mainly just too close together for airflow to dry the bottoms out well enough. I put another big fan in the closet and turned off the evap cooler for the night. 10/22: Most of them look better this morning, but a few are still droopy, so I used a stainless steel skewer to poke a thousand little holes in the lower part of all the fabric pots in the garden to try and improve oxygen availability to the roots. I also carefully arranged the garden so that there are gaps between all the pots. I think I'll also space my waterings a little further apart. The topsoil is drying out well enough, but I don't want their roots sitting in muck. 10/23: Several of them are flowering now, and starting to stretch a little bit. I raised the lights about 2 inches today and dialed the ac infinity's high temp trigger up to 88f for a bit to get them to dry out a little faster, so the RH climbed a little higher as well...so I also set the ac infinity's high humidity trigger threshold to 65%. After observing signs of nitrogen toxicity on several of them, I realized that I made another rookie mistake...(where is my head??) The new 5 gallon bucket I'm using to mix a batch of nutes must be about 2 inches shorter than the one I had been using, and I never bothered to calibrate it....which I did today. So, for the past couple of feedings, I've been mixing in enough nutes for 5 gallons, but in only 4 gallons of water!!! I foliar fed them with BoomBoom Spray and gave them about 8oz each of boomerang and cal-mag early in the morning, and by 5pm they all looked happier. I'll give them a little drink of plain water tomorrow, then start them on flowering nutes the next day. 10/24: Several are starting to stretch now...and all but one are flowering. This morning I fed them another little dose of boomerang and cal-mag, and also added some bembe and open sesame to the mix. This afternoon, I foliar fed everybody very thoroughly with some humic/fulvic acid, seaweed extract, yucca extract, and big bloom (for the earthworm castings and minor and trace elements) I repotted the dwarf in a smaller container and gave it to my son. He's a bonsai enthusiast, so it's right up his alley...that's one less plant to deal with! 10/25: This evening I mixed up 5 gallons of pretty much everything except grow big. and gave everybody about 1/4 gallon each. I plan to flush them with sledgehammer on Sunday or Monday and only do foliar feedings like BoomBoom spray and fulvic acid until I resume normal bloom feeding mid-week. Because I've had such a good veg, I'm pretty sure the maximum number of plants I'll be able to fit into the lower section is 13...and maybe only 12. So, that will be my 4 or 5 shortest plants in the area above..in which case, I'll need more light... I think the new UVB light will have to wait until my next grow because I've got so spend a couple hundred bucks on seeds to be able to start another batch right before my current run finishes.😖😞😩😡

So this week after I gave it under nutrients I apparently gave it too much nitrogen while having a potassium deficiency. Shiney dark leaves, So i fixed that, but some didn't bounce back, and I tried nitrogen. I think they are doing pretty good considering everything I've put them through SO FAR. lol. Nutrients are NPK Raw's total lineup, follow their instructions at first, Fastbuds adjustments as of this week.

Second week of flower and I defoliated again. There are small bud sites starting to form at the end of week two flower. The apple fritter has fascination which is making the stems grow interestingly with lots of bud sites.
