Barneys Farm Pineapple Chunk update 5th Jan 2020 11th week of veg over and done with. Ive done quite a bit since the last update as far as this girl is concerned 1st of all i erected a greenhouse that covers all of my Photo period plants. and secondly I transplanted the Pineapple chunk out of the pot she was in and put her straight into the ground so I'm expecting and hoping that she will explode once the stretch starts in about 5 weeks or so. The soil I moved her into is really nice and fertile as it was used to grow winter vegetables and Broad beans. The growing of legumes can benefit the soil by bringing nitrogen to the surface to be made available to anything else growwing in the same soil. I gave the area I transplanted her into a good dose of Azospirillum and Mycorrhizal innoculants after she went into the ground. Thankyou for checking out my update see you next week 👍

Both seeds were planted on the same day, however, one is growing faster which leaves me to assume that's a male which I am very much happy for…time will tell.

The addition of an enzyme has produced amazing results that were shocking and worrying at first. Massive rise in EC and PH every 24 hours from 5.3 - 6.8. Research yet no sign of any harm to the plants, in fact they seem very happy! The enzymes has created an environment friendly to the beneficial microbes and fungi that has lead to a feeding frenzy (Which wouldn't have happened ad I used Hygrozyme from the start.). EC rises a point or two as the microbes and plants expel waste and create a plethora of negative charged hydrogen ions. Thus, the PH rises. Never above 6.8, strangely. Because the microbes are eating and shitting so well, they have added a lot of chilated nutrients that are easier for the plants to uptake at a wider range of PH (Yes, some as high as 6.8). The fact that there are so many bunches of calyxes sprouting and exploding, filling in the flower space is proof enough for me. This week was good for the Cream auto. I performed some defoliation and undid the LST for a couple days as well as raised the lights to 24" to induce some stretching. I did selectively begin LST on the Cream towards the end of week 5. She has been getting 1/4 strength flower nutes and recieved a fresh top dressing of hot soil coco coir mix; as her roots were surfacing. So far so good. Atleast 20 budsites are visible and she has responded well to all the training and is coming into her stretch period. Now all we are waiting on is them white pistols to start shooting at the budsites. Hopefully week 6 will entail this! She should be at about half of her life span at this point. 4-5 weeks more of flower is expected before harvest.

Both plant 1 and 2 are looking a lot healthier. Started LST with both the autos and it seems to be working well so far. The bigger one has a very strong main stem and is flourishing. The smaller one that I thought I was gonna lose is bouncing back, though at a pretty slow rate. I'll be lucky to get a quarter off that one. I also had a bag seed that I planted before these guys - didn't seem like she was gonna make it, but after I transplanted her to s 5gal pot, she became the healthiest of the bunch. No idea what stain she is, but I don't think she's auto. Works for me -- I'll keep vegging her at least until I harvest the two NLAs and let her grow big and tall :) Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

Tripled my feed on week 11 & fed twice a week with 1.25ml of 44-0-0, flipped to flower but my smart plug was being funny and didn’t go off , gave it reset and all sorted so day 2flower today . Sprouting some seeds for SST

FBA2502 Week 4 April 20-26 Veg 4 Highlights of this week: I defoliated the large fan leaves from the main stems. After defoliating, I saw that plant #3 has a short, tight node structure like plant #1, so I pinned her down before she goes into flowering. Plants 2, 4, 5, and 6 are taller than plants 1 and 3. The larger plants 2, 4, 5, 6 show pre flowers with thinner new growth and hairs at the nodes. The leaves are wide and thick. Some have a slight blue tinge. This makes me think I’m over feeding. Apparently, the blended soil has enough nutrients for the autos, so I don’t need to feed right now. At the end of the week, I watered with ph 6.5 water with cal mag and recharge. Lights are 20” from tops of tall plants and 30 from 1& 3. My general thought for the future grows is to wait until the plant is bigger and see its structure before starting training. #1 has many branches coming into the middle. By beginning with pinning and keeping it at the ground, she will not achieve the stretch around the pot. I pinned #3 to push out the bud sites from being up against the main stem. It is easier to LST when there is more space between the nodes, so a bit of growth or stretch is required. Training to open the top is needed when the plant is short and tight. I watered with plain water, it looks like over feeding and they are in are transitioning to flower. 4/24 Water with recharge ½ tsp/g & CalMag 1 tsp/g ph 6.5 pics & vid see blue tinges in leaves.
