Pretty good week overall! Day 80, I am posting a little early to coincide with my expected harvest in 2 weeks, and because today I officially started the flush! At this point I am anticipating the harvest between 5 and 14 days from now, depending on how quickly the buds finish ripening up. I am guessing the taller plant has about 75% red hairs and over 50% cloudy trichomes at this point. The shorter plant is slightly behind with maybe 40% of her hairs being red and maybe a third of the trichomes are cloudy. They have made a lot of progress over the past week, so🤞 they will continue that trend. Did a pretty decent defoliation on the shorter plant, due to some fan leaves that were blocking light from the lower canopy turning yellow. I have decided to try molasses with my flush water, hopefully that will improve my final product. One final note is the smell.... it is considerably stronger this time than either of my first 2 grows. Typically I do not bother with a carbon filter, but the smell was so strong it leaked in from my garage and permeated my entire house! So I added filter (and a very strong candle) and it seems to have helped the problem. Super excited for the harvest, will definitely keep everyone posted!

So.. She's now just over 12 weeks old with 8 weeks flower and 4 veg, I did the last feed on Friday just gone, and will now flush for a week+ up until she starts showing me Amber's, I AM NOT CUTTING HER EARLY I know she's a sativa dominant but, there is Indica genes in there somewhere and I would like around 10-20% Amber if possible, it is going to be a precarious balancing act between prime potency, amber and degradation of the plant as its been around for a long time she's going to go over DP timing cycle by about 5 weeks haha, As soon as I see Amber's appearing I am going to give it about 36hrs as normal then whack it in the dark for 24hrs (everyone seems to do it so I will try with this one then do two the next time with the same strain put one in the dark and one not and see if there is any difference, I am thinking that there is now about 1to2 weeks left before harvest (I know I said that last week aha) but what do I know, hmhm So looking forward to seeing what she's like, I have put so much care love and attention into making her the best she could be and not stressing her, and has received very little stress, a bit of burn on the tips of leaves (bout 4 weeks ago appeared overnight, cut down food and it seemed to fix. The issue) and the heat for the last week and a half or so crept up to about 31 ish all the time at night aswell, but I was running about trying to keep her cool and moist, well it seemed to have paid off as there is very very minimal foxtailing on 2 of the bud sites the majority remain prestine, I would really appreciate a few guesses as to harvest weight (dry) I could expect, (I won't hold anyone to there word, I know it's an educated guess, haha), Sorry about the missed weeks and lack of quality pictures, I will endeavour to make up for that with a good final post and roundup 👍👍 Thanks for poking your head in, Please remember to close the door when you leave 😜

Day 15 - The new week meant a change of water, nutrients and an adjustment of lights. Chong is looking like a short, but sturdy little seedling with broad fan leaves and big roots. Max is 10cm vs. Chong at 7cm and her leaves are perky and the stem is thick. They both look good for their own individual reasons. Looking at the roots specifically, Chong seems to be facing similar problems as Cheech in the Cookies Gelato grow - the aeration in the bucket appears to have “dead zones” because of the colour the roots and the manner in which they are sticking together. I’ve adjusted the air stone to be more central in the bucket and cleaned the air tubes because the nutrients stick on the tubes. Other than that, I’ve controlled the PH back down to 6.0 after the addition of the nutrients using the Milwaukee PH controller and decided not to adjust the height of the lights because there was only about 2cm growth this week. Also added the first wire to give Chong a bit of a better bend in her stem, gently starting off the process of LST. Day 20 and the ladies are getting closer to topping. Both are showing clear third nodes with the fourth node opening up. I am sure we will be topping during this next week of veg.

The Rhino Ryder is coming in beautify with the buds swelling up an getting a really nice stink the strawberry gorilla is growing very weird I haven't been able to really give it nutrients because everytime I try she burns well see I guess

The end of the fourth week. Only 2,5 to 3 weeks to go, since this is the FAST version of Gelato 33 by Advanced seeds. Last week temps were better, so that was a lot better to manage. The smell is a different story. We are trying to combat it as we speak with a double filter which my friend still had from a previous grow. The ladies are performing, however, because this is a monstercrop with many budsites, none of them will be very big. We anticipate a lot of cutting come harvest time. The stickieness and smell (cookies, dough, herbs, spices, gingerbread, vanilla) promise a lot to make up for that hopefully!! The middle plant that seemed to go fastest, now looks like to have the hardest time flowering. Her more advanced stage of flowering as a bigger clone, made it harder for her to return to veg, which she never really did. This seems to make her want to rush to the finish, as she is already browning the pistils. Also these buds seem more flakey, popcorny. As if the many flowers and grapelike bundled growth was too much for her. I put the light a little closer, to help her fatten up in the time she is given. I never expected the two 'runts' to outperform the mighty middle clone, but hey seem to fatten up and age much more nicely. So for now, prelimenary tip: make sure all your plants are completely revegged before flowering and consider that faster flowering species might have some ruderalis ancestry that might siderail all your lighting intentions and remains in flower what ever the growers lighting schedule. So with at least two more weeks for the two outer plants, and well see how many for the middle one, we are going to make them as comfortable as possible the final push of this flowering. These past few days have been quite challenging for our country, with heavy rainfall leading to widespread flooding. It hasn't been that bad here, but we still got our fair share. All this rain spiked the humidity—up to 88% at night and mid-70s during the day. Ugh. Way too high for comfort. There was not much I could do except hope for better weather, although I did at least add a second under-canopy fan to reduce stagnant air. The girls are doing great otherwise. Displaying a rainbow of colors. DLI: 42 UV: 3 hours per day

5-27-20: getting closer. Shes my first autoflower and think ive done good so far. 5-30-20: had to harvest her. Too many nanners went unnoticed with too many other plants in the room. Thats common with trainwreck strain. Will update and close this out when its ready for curing.

Just did a huge 5 gallon flush on these girls they are in 8 gallon pots till runoff was clear will let them dry out completely and give them one more flush then the really frosty one will be ready probably another week week and a half and the bigger one with all the pistils will probably be another 2 or so weeks she has more bulking to do and not nearly frosty yet
