Week 11 Flower Report for the Anesia Run 🌸🌿

Nutrient Update 🌿🔬
This week, we’ve continued with our nutrient regimen, making a few key adjustments to ensure the plants are getting everything they need to produce those sticky, resinous buds. Our mix includes:
• Regulator: Keeping the plants’ stress levels in check and ensuring optimal growth.
• CalMag: Providing essential calcium and magnesium for strong cell walls and overall plant health.
• P-Boost: Enhancing flower development and increasing bud size.
• K: Introducing potassium to boost bud density and improve overall flower quality.
• Top Booster: Supporting the final push in flower production, ensuring those buds are as big and healthy as possible.
Our TDS has been adjusted to 500, with a pH of 6.0, keeping the environment perfect for nutrient uptake. 🌿💧
Environmental Control 🌞🌡️
Temperatures have been steady at 21°C, creating the ideal environment for our girls. Consistency is key in these final stages, as we want to avoid any stress that could affect bud development. 🌡️
Fun Facts & Details 🌸✨
1. Trichome Wonderland: The trichomes on these ladies are sparkling like diamonds. Did you know that trichomes are the plant’s way of protecting themselves from UV rays and pests? They also contain the highest concentration of cannabinoids, making them the heart of the plant’s potency.
2. Pistil Party: The pistils are starting to turn a beautiful amber, signaling that harvest time is approaching. Fun fact: pistils are the female part of the flower and are responsible for catching pollen to produce seeds. In our case, no seeds, just beautiful, potent buds!
3. Aroma Explosion: The terpene profile is off the charts. Walking into the grow room is like stepping into a fragrant garden. Each strain has its unique scent, from the sweet and fruity notes to the pungent and earthy undertones. Did you know terpenes not only provide aroma but also enhance the effects of cannabinoids through the entourage effect?
4. Leaf Yellowing: Some of the lower leaves are beginning to yellow and fall off. This is perfectly normal as the plant focuses its energy on bud production. It’s a sign that our girls are nearing the end of their life cycle, putting all their effort into flowering.
5. Bud Density: The buds are getting denser by the day. Proper potassium levels have been crucial in achieving this. Dense buds mean more weight and better quality, making all our efforts worthwhile.

Today is the beginning of week 5, 1 week since i began this diary. She is making excellent progress, , I am not sure what the yellowing is. Potassium, phosphorous, salt buildup, pH issues? Not sure. I just received my pH meter and Up Down solutions. So now I can keep better track of her.
I highly recommended this strain, she grow so really fast, trains well, and her aroma is the best I've personally found, a mixture of cotton candy, skunk and mint. She's is amazingly beautiful in her bud stacking and wow! Those trichomes. She has a CBD content of 11% (average strain %). For the beginner and for medicinal value this strain is perfect to get to know a little better

These girls didn’t give me any issues at all. They just screw themselves. I planted one seed and when I did the mainline, I cloned the top, which is how I ended up with two plants. I can’t believe how big the buds got all this girl trimming it was a nightmare. There was so many leaves, some of the buds are so big that I did a small amount rot in one of them It’s so happened to be the biggest bud. I was running the humidity kinda high about 60% the whole time. About this plant doesn’t have much of a nose on it but she looks great and Got over these two.

I think I should have defoliated more of her and fed her more but next time...I only removed the yellow leaves as I've read the large fan leaves are my solar panels...V1 yield 4 oz dry let's see V2.

Chopping her down at the end of the week! About 10% amber right now. Getting all the nutes flushed out and she smells just like candy gum! Amazing! Great density for an auto with all that’s been thrown at her from Mother Nature✌️🏻💚🌿💨

Week 4 flower - Day 27 of flowering - Day 83 of life
Black gum is getting fat and frosty. The 2 main colas-buds are looking good

This is my very first indoor grow. I decided to gro six autos from fast buds. Paper towel for 24 hours till I saw a tap root went straight to growing medium. I’m doing this first run with pre amend fox farm. One of each plant I’m ocean Forrest and one of each in coco loco. All pots have center of seed starter to prevent burning my seedling. I’m 3 days since I put the seeds in the paper towel and the seedlings are just now starting to break through the soil.

Las dos A5 Chaze siguen avanzando sin rastro de hongos y con la humedad completamente controlada. La planta que perdió su punta principal concentra ahora toda la energía en las secundarias, que se están compactando más, ganando resina y mostrando un brillo más marcado. La otra, que mantiene su punta principal, desarrolla una cola dominante muy firme, densa y con ese aspecto clásico de Haze bien llevada.
En ambas plantas los pistilos se van cerrando y el color se intensifica. Los tricomas muestran mayoría lechosa con los primeros toques cálidos en las zonas más expuestas, señal de maduración activa. El aroma sube otro punto: terroso, madera seca y especia fina, cada vez más profundo.
La ventilación y los riegos están en su punto, aportando estabilidad sin forzar nada en este tramo final.
🌼 Semana de afinado: densidad, resina y aroma consolidándose en cada estructura según su forma.
¡Seguimos creciendo fuerte 💪!

Happy New Year!!!
Over the past week I did some HST bending on my photos and cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop.
The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. Also all close up pics of the Critical+ are with the lights off and flash on.
I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis).
I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO…
“Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.”

If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. Your comments, feedback and recommendations are very much appreciated!

Everything’s trucking along nicely so far This week. I cleared out under the first net this week and stripped there bottoms down. Lol I also was forced to do another defoliation up top this week as it was insanely crowded again, 3 days later and it’s gonna need it again to put the top screen on. Crazy foliage on these girls. I had a friend pass away last week so stuff kinda got put on the back burner, shoulda had the top screen on already. They are also so bushy and crowded I had nowhere to train the larger branches coming up in the middle so there are a few popin up over the canopy here and there. Gonna have to remember to flip this strain earlier if I give her a go again. Looks like I got 2 pheno types as well, 3 are bigger and stretched up more and 1 stayed low and is a bushier girl. I think it will all be good in the end though, no big hiccups yet. Cheers💨

The gnats are pretty much gone but I saw one today sadly. We pruned them on the bottoms to give more room to grow. Next grow I hope to do it sooner. We are going to be starting nutrients back up on Monday which will be exciting.

Just beyond 3 weeks into flower and the plants are showing their potential. Three Animal Mints are lookingn strong. AM3 may have a highe rleaf ratio around buds, but should be some nice colas even if a bit more work to trim than the others. This strain is probably the most consistent pheno-to-pheno of the three, but Kush Mints is quite consistent too.
All of the MSNL plants are robust and strong. Second grow with excellent results from this breeder. I did not pay for these seeds, but I am not a shill, either. If one of them grew all whacky like the mountaintop mint, I'd voice the same complaints. The clearly care about such traits in their selection process.
Overall the canopy has filled in nicely. I have a couple spots where light is wasted and I'll make some adjustments to the process to fix that for future grows. Now that I've settled on plant size and number of plants, improvements can be made each cycle until it's clockwork. I like the 12-cola vs 8 cola experiement. I've got a fairly long list of edits to make to various sections of my "bible," which means I liked the outcomes of most of my incremental adjustments. Continual, systematic improvement in action...
One other incremental change on the docket but not yet realized will be dropping nutrient concnetration once vegetative growth ends. Exact timing will be based on what I see in the foliage. I see some minor tip curl and its a bit darker than I want. So, it may come sooner than later. This'll be something I tweak over the next few grow cycles until I'm happy with the late-flower health.
I'll drop fertilizer concentration 10-15% on next refill and see how that plays out. It'll take a couple refills of reservoir to near 100% transition without draining it. If necessary, I'll drain and do a full refill for more pressing needs. A rez scrub before final stretch is coming, regardless.
Side note:
The impacts of VPD can be enormous. Last year (2025-2 diary) I had a humidifier wick get fouled and RH dropped while VPD spiked for more than a few days, thinking I could power through or that the canopy would soon provide more moisture. Nope, growth stalled in a significant way. By comparing day 34-42-49 of 2025-2 and day 38-42-49 of this diary, I can see a huge difference in growth at same point above ground. The consitency with which i do things makes it fairly certain it's the extende period with extremely high VPDs that caused the difference.
Also, interesting that it mostly catches back up by completion of third week of flower. The size difference is nearly undone by this point, though 2025-2 took 4 days longer vege phase to get there. Even so, I still think this grow is more than 4 days ahead of 2025-2 (the difference in vegetative phae duration). Time will tell if the development is ahead of the pace in 2025-2 or whether it's simply mostly an offset due to a less efficient vege phase for 2025-2.

On may 6, the seedling broke through the earth. Seedling developed well in the first week. It was watered every day with a spray bottle (approx. 50ml a day) with collected rainwater in small circles around the seedling. After day 4, the first roots could be seen at the bottom of the pot.
This weeks weather was pretty good for the start. The daytime temperatures fluctuated between 18 and 26 degrees in the first week, as you can see from the past weather data. (The weather report is added at the end of each week and is based on real weather events, i.e. it is not a forecast).
As already mentioned the plant receives additional hours light from an LED bulb (17W, 4000K, 2500 Lumen) for the first days to make them more resistant to pests and severe weather conditions. She get around 3 hours additional light. In the early morning i move the plant outdoor.
