Well.. nice start of a new week. Still stretching so today changing water for fresh water. Going to level up the EC from tapwater 0.3 tot 0.7 with CalMag before adding nutrients. Then raising the EC to 2.2 I hope (depending on the PH not dropping below 5.8). Hopefully they will consume less water and therefore stop stretching.. We will just see what happens. Easy to lower EC afterwards and also easy to raise PH. I just have to add some tapwater. 13/7 some shortages and maybe too much light. Reducing time with half an hour daily. Raised EC to 2.3

Week 5 has been a breeze! Going into week 6 we are seeing a lot of great things. The buds are starting to get nice and tight and thick which is so awesome! Every is SUPER sticky thanks to the Bud Factor X. Watering has stayed the same generally. Definitely need to work on our trimming for next flower as there is a lot of lower spots that are super small and not getting much love. We are still learning though! Going into week 6 we will have to create some structures for a few of these branches. The buds are gaining weight and a few branches are becoming a little top heavy.

Changed my light cycle to 20/4, need to add a heater for when the lights are off as I've noticed the temperature drops really quickly and moving my intake tubing into a warm room wasn't cutting it. I defoliated some leafs that were obstructing light which seems to help as they have certainly bushed out.. Starting to each get there own distinct smells and looks. I've started to add 2 tea spoons of epsom salt and green tea to my feed which the plants seem to like, time will only tell I suppose and this is a learning journey for me so why not try different organic methods 💚 Really excited to see how these turn out and smoke something I know exactly what's been put into it 😍

Light is at its maximum height and could do with being raised another inch or so, going to try and tie the reflector directly to the top of the tent. Stretched more than anticipated lol. Slight tip burn so backed off the nitrogen and added the pk, I think they are a touch too dark green but will rectify during this week. Surprising considering the EC is only 1.4

More mold on the Moby, so I decided to cut off the top buds, Defoiliated, to improve ventilation and to save the tops from mold.. Honey cream has to stack up more, before I can take the fruits off.. She only had 2 little moldy spots I cut out and is thriving nicely so I hope she stacks up like the Moby before mold takes over. As I mentioned before, German weather is a bitch..

Using 2 seeds in a luke warm water shotglass. Placing in cupboard to germinate. Day1: Nothing yet Day2: One of the seeds started to sprout. Showing it's sexy little tail. I'll monitor the growth in the next 24hrs and then decide whether she's ready for the sproutling pot or not. Day3: Tails were looking pretty good - forgot to take a photo :/ roughly 1cm for one of them, which is the one that I decided to plant. It really hurt when I chucked the other seed, but I really only need one plant. Soil mix for the sproutling: Coco Coir - 70%, Vermiculite - 15%, Perlite - 15%. I also added Greenhouse Feeding "BioGrow" and Mycorrhiza. The picture was taken from my RPi + Cam setup that will be taking 2 photos/min. I'll post the timelapse at the end of the day. Day4: Running the whole day in the tent with ventilation running minimally. Light only at 20%. No action, so I deleted all the pictures except for the last one taken before the lights went out. Day5: No activity above the soil level. Probably spent the whole day focusing on root growth. Day6: At around 09:20 I watered again and with this uncovered the first signs of life! The rest of the day was mostly uneventful - until the evening. Roughly 2hrs before lights-out she started to move. Day7: Things starting to look really good :)

🌱 Amnesia Skunk — Grow Recap (from seed to now) Strain: Amnesia Skunk Auto-Flower: 12/12 from seed Current age: Week 7 from seed Flowering reference: Week 3 of flower (by morphology, not calendar) How we got here • From day one, this run was intentional: 12/12 from seed, no veg phase. • Plants established quickly with strong root development and steady internodal spacing. • Early structure showed vigorous lateral branching, typical of Amnesia-leaning genetics. • Transition into flower was smooth — no stall, no stress signals. • By early flower, canopy density increased fast, especially in a full 8×8 room (~27 plants). This is where room logic started to matter more than single-plant logic. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment Snapshot (current) • Day temp: ~28 °C • RH: ~65% • EC: ~2.4 • pH: ~6.5 • Height: ~40–80 cm • Lighting: LED (multi-layer canopy + under-canopy) On paper? Some growers panic at 28 °C in flower. In practice? This is where understanding beats numbers. ⸻ 🍃 LED, Leaf Temperature & VPD (the part most skip) Under LED lighting, room temperature ≠ what the plant feels. Unlike HPS, LEDs: • Don’t dump infrared heat • Keep leaf surface temperature 2–4 °C cooler than ambient So when: • Room temp ≈ 28 °C • Leaf temp ≈ 24–26 °C • RH ≈ 65% 👉 Leaf VPD lands right in the comfort zone for early–mid flower. And the plants confirm it: • Deep, relaxed green • No tacoing • No stress-praying • Strong internodes • Uniform nutrient uptake across phenotypes That’s real data. We’re not ignoring numbers — we’re letting plant behavior be the final authority. Stability fixing something that isn’t broken. ⸻ ✂️ Defoliation — why it was heavier this week Let’s be very clear: This was not aesthetic defoliation. This was functional, room-driven defoliation. Context matters • 🏠 8×8 room • 🌱 ~27 plants • 🌬️ Airflow, humidity pockets, and light penetration scale very differently at this density A single plant might not ask for it — but the room did. Why we defoliated • Improve airflow through a dense canopy • Reduce micro-humidity pockets • Let photons travel into the canopy, not just hit the top • Reset apical dominance • Refocus energy toward flowering sites Yes — it was heavier than initially planned. But: • Genetics are strong • Roots are dialed • Feed is stable • Plants are healthy Healthy plants recover fast. Stressed plants don’t. We also: • Found a few minor under-canopy light burns • Nothing serious • Removed affected leaves • Cleaned structure The girls responded immediately — posture, color, and turgor all stayed on point. ⸻ 🌸 Where we are now (Week 3 flower) • Clear flower initiation • Sites are stacking evenly • Stretch is slowing • Structure is set • Energy is shifting from leaf production → flower development This is exactly where we want to be. ⸻ 🔮 What to expect next (and what not to) Expect: • Calyx stacking to accelerate • Stretch to finish over the next 7–10 days • Flowers to start defining their final architecture • Strong recovery response from defoliation Don’t expect: • Explosive bulk yet (that comes later) • Resin maturity at this stage • Any need for drastic changes From here on: • Stability • Observation • Small, intentional adjustments only if the plants ask ⸻ 🙏 Final words Thank you to everybody: • Lovers ❤️ • Haters 😉 • New followers • OGs • The GD platform • The GD community • The ones who ask questions • And the silent ones who just watch and learn Everyone is welcome here. This week was defoliation week, and the girls told us clearly what they needed — so we listened. Plants are looking outstanding, and this Amnesia Skunk run is right where it should be. With true love comes happiness. Always believe in yourself, and always do things expecting nothing and with an open heart. Be a giver, and the universe will give back in ways you could never imagine. 💚 Growers love to all 💚 📸 P.S. – The Eye Behind the Lens All photos in this diary (for now — except for the ones showing the camera, which I took with an iPhone) are taken with a Sony A6700 paired with a Sony full-frame macro lens and a few more. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art.

This is my fav strain for now. I love the taste more than anything. Take a vape hit and exhale through the nose. Oh god, this is good. Despite the low light intensity, The BUDS ARE TIGHTER THAN THE FIST OF A FIGHTER.

Checkout my Instagram @smallbudz to see the Small budget grow setup for indoor use, low watt, low heat, low noise, step by step. 30/11/2019 - Struggling with high humidity, change led strip color from red, green, blue to red and green. 1/12/2019 - Checked and adjusted the light distance. 2/12/2019 - Pot feels light and dry, gave her 1,5l PH 6.3 with a 1/4 of recommended Biobizz nuts, notice almost no run off. 3/12/2019 - Finally her first pistil appeared on the main stem I was starting to get worried.

Day 35 - All still growing very strong, both plants that aren’t being mainlined are very short & bushy but have a lot of bud sights! This strain has taken very well to mainlining as well, the double mainline is up to 8 tops now and doing great! Thank you to everyone for following & make sure to check back for daily updates! Happy growing friends!✌️🏼🌱

I wanted to title this weeks grow "How Big Are Your Balls? (root balls that is, lol)". I've been wanting to post pictures and video of the root balls for a while now, so today's the day! The temperature has been dropping here, so the plants are getting much less heat stress. In a couple of weeks the temperature should be down into the 60's and 70's during the day and all will be good.

Ladies are looking good, I’m liking not having to pull tarps to have flower this early…. But the quality isn’t quite there. My dad is flowering gdp auto and runts auto indoors. They are a lot smaller but a lot prettier. I’m sure my temps have been the root of all my problems. Wishing the buds would fill out, they are getting runny and larfy. Well I have a few more seeds for next year but I’m thinking autos are not for me. I have started to see some botryis and have been cutting it out. Mainly seeing mold on the two hermies, but also seen some aphids on one of the hermies I got mad and cut it down! Then I poured gas on the infested bud and burned it…. Growing is not for the faint hearted;)
