So my microscopic camera came on the weekend after checking the trichomes to my surprise i was advised to harvest asap due to have some amber already. they were receiving full nutes up until 4 days ago. since then I've been flushing. i was still receiving high runoff ec readings after 2 days of flush so have since put around 30 litres of water through each plant all now have ec of around 0.3/0.4. thinking of doing the same tomorrow to wash last of the nutes out then will put them into 48hrs of darkness before chopping unless anyone can advise me different?

Part 1 of a video project I give myself for this run. And wow ,I'm absolutely loving this grow. The girls are preforming brilliantly with the training, although the Forbidden Runtz excelled with LST more so then the StrawNana, she is more bushy and compact, which made it quite tight in the 2x2 grow tent, but not overcrowded. I'm just a grower, who just loves growing. My passion was vegetable gardening, but living arrangements are different now and can no longer have a garden..... but it has opened up the possibility of indoor cannabis growing which wasn't a option for me before. My medium is a make up of reamended soil from my last run, to make my 25% supersoil base, 65% complete organic compost and topped off with 10% light seedling soil. I also fed a compost extraction once a week from WEEK 5 and they always responded brilliantly. I used the chop and drop technique when I defoliated which my worms seem to love and also used the compost feed for my compost extraction as a mulch layer every week after the feed, which covered the defoliated leaves. This week we will see the colas and buds really dense up. We are about 2 weeks away from harvest now. Next week I will start my flush.

Clones got transplanted into my organic recycled soil in solo cups and under the dome. Under 300w LED QB dimmed at 50% Watering with tap water. My live soil is packed with nutrient's and minerals so there’s no need to add nutes for now.

Started off by setting up the growing environment and dialling everything in such as; RO Water for the RDWC hydroponic system. Water Heater being set at 20 degrees C. Water chiller being set at 21 degrees C. pH being set at 5.7/5.8 Room Temp and humidity 20/23 Degrees C / 60%/80%RH. Instead of using rockwool cubes to place my seeds, I put them directly into the clay pebbles. I then used a DIY humidity dome to place over the seeds until they make an appearance. I have been top feeding RO water every 6 hours. Foil was used to cover the net pot to ensure no light leaks were going into the system. Highly important in DWC. Will add some light nutrients once seeds are more established. Until the next one!

Another week has flown by! The girls are doing great, cruise control this week as I have just been monitoring RH and temps. Trying to keep them as low as possible, I’ve been getting as low as 74 during the day and 68 at night. I finally took a look a look at the trichomes with my jewellers loop, lots of cloudy, and a few amber around the leaves and top colas, but still lot’s of clear trichomes. I’ve ordered myself a wireless/usb digital microscope to assist with the process, and looks like it will be here just in time to determine harvest day. 😎🎄 I started by eliminating the nutrients at the beginning of the week. I typically allow for 3-4 pure water feeds before I harvest, and at the rate they have been drinking, this should be enough to get through the 7-12 days they have before harvest. I don’t flush, but rather “rinse” with normal water amounts, allowing the plant to use up the remaining nutrients in the soil. This also allows me to recover most of the soil from my grows and reuse ♻️ with other soil mix. There has been great debate and a great deal of bro science out there for many years, but the recent studies suggest there is no difference in end result when it comes to flushing or using nutrients right until the end, if a proper dry and cure is performed. Just letting them cruise along now. Hopefully they dense up and start adding a bit of size on. Pushing them pretty hard seem to be taking it. 900ppfd and 2.5 ec only just showing tip burns on one. Seem to be holding nitrogen. 24 to 25 degrees and 50 humidity most the time.

At the 10-week mark of flowering for the Wapanga strain by TerpHogz, observations indicate it's nearing harvest time. The trichomes appear mostly cloudy with some transparency, suggesting it's approaching the optimal harvest window. However, the main cola continues to display signs of active flowering, prompting a careful approach. While the plant signals readiness in some areas, the continued vitality of the main cola suggests it might benefit from a bit more time to fully mature. Monitoring this balance is crucial, ensuring a harvest that captures the strain's peak potency and flavor profile.
