Welcome guys Here we are finally at the reviews of this strain from seed bank Barneys farm, called UTOPIA HAZE I must say that I enjoyed cultivating it 🙂🌱 The plant didn't bother me too much, it was pretty good.. It lends itself well to cultivation in scrog or in any case practicing lst 👌 It also reacted very well to more than one topping.. Honestly, as you can read through the various weeks, at the beginning the intention was to limit yourself to a single topping, so as to obtain 6 big final buds.. "Unfortunately" ,sometimes, I vape too much weed and end up doing some bullshit 😓 Indeed As you can see in week 9.. Accidentally, while cleaning the growbox, I broke a branch of the plant.. At that point I decided to toppinf all 6 of the main branches ✂️✂️ From here, another 12 were born, plus other smaller ones that were already present, took on strength 🌱🌱👉🌳 In the end the buds were and are practically all the same size, the main ones And very full of fragrant resin 💯🔥 The scent has fruity and earthy tones with hints of haze 🍊🍋🍭 I believe it is the most indicative phenotype towards this 🙌 And honestly, the fact that haze notes don't prevail makes me happy, because in the long run I don't really appreciate it.. But I love the structure of sativas and can't wait to grow a serious one.. Anyway The effect is quite balanced between a mentally socializing high, but with a relaxed physique 🧘‍♂️🗣️ Also excellent for sports🏃‍♂️🚵‍♀️🏋️‍♀️ Obviously better vaporized 👌👌 But as you can see in the video, I always do a smoke test to evaluate well 😎 And this produces a lot of oil, as well as having a fairly white-ash.. There is so much to discuss ! I have been extremely busy as of late trying to get this Harvest together, but i am happy to have it here for you now ! I Seriously under estimated the amount of time, help from others, and my own necessary skills to pull this off.. and i still kind of screwed it up lol ! But its worth noting i have never actually done this before and trying to document it during....was extremely hard. It is next to impossible to work an iPhone with rubber gloves on ! First I want to discuss everything step by step so before you jump straight into the comments on how the end product is so small in "quantity" Rest assured i am happy with its"quality"...and thats all that matters to me because Life is a journey not a destination! and i have learned so much from this grow that I couldn't be any happy even if i messed some things up :) But at the very least I hope you read through this entry in its entirety with an open mind and focus more on the process, rather than just the outcome! I ran out of Ice & i was only able to wash three times..(normally I've heard you should go sometimes 5-6 washes) Preparation is Key & things will be much better next round :) Photos 1-22 These are pretty self explanatory but for those of you just tuning in now.. this is what happens to a very happy plant when you don't have the necessary tools to monitor key components of growing cannabis.. Ph, as well as EC levels play a very key role in the outcome of your grow lol that being said I was just able to save this plant by purchasing both tools but that doesn't mean the plant didn't suffer because of the prior events.. This was a Huge reason behind me choosing to turn this harvest into what i would consider "Solventless Hash Rosin" from "Ice water extracted Bubble hash". Pictures 23 The idea here is the process of using "fresh Frozen Cannabis" this has been discussed many a time online on such sites as instagram and here on grow diaries as well.. I personally have Never tried the process so i decided to try it out and make a judgement for myself.. Video 24 The Cannabis has now been in the freezer for 72 hours making it very well frozen.. as you can tell i struggled getting it all into the 25u Screen Wash Bag. One thing of note i would do differently is i will de-stem my next batch as i also believe this played a part in the amount of plant matter that escaped through the sieves. Photo/Video's 25-28 The idea here is "ice water Seiving" & especially with the bags that I am using here that are only have screen material on the bottom portion of the bag it is very important to have spaces in-between the screens to allow the water to pass directly through the screens into the bottom bucket with the least amount of resistance.. because the hash is so extremely temperature dependant if it gets warm on the side of the bag.. it will stick there and not make it to the bottom to become use able product.. 29 You do not need to use as much Ice as i used here lol... the idea is to keep everything very cold..i certainly achieved that but at the sacrifice of using so much that i ended up grinding product and producing "contaminants" but in the end they are just plant matter that i would be smoking when i rolled up my joint either way so.. I'm not super disappointed.. But it should be noted that what you want to achieve here is a Layering effect where you have the wash bag between two small layers of ice while the "water current" washes the Trichomes away allowing them to be separated by the screens setup below :) Before Starting the machine you should allow some time (i.e.;10-12minutes pre soak to allow the product to become saturated) before the first cycle. By video 32 I have just ran out of ice lol.. Video 33-34 Here I have a tip for you.. to separate the screens that you sieve through.. cut 5 gallon buckets to stretch them across nice and tight.. it'll make scooping your Bubble that much easier ! i learned this from the many "Frenchy" videos I have watched :) Picture 35 Here in lays the problem for most people.. drying your hash without loosing vast amounts of "Terpenes" whilst also stay ever vigilant against mold ! Thanks to all those videos I've watched on youtube.. id like to think this was one of my most successful parts of this process.. Things to Note; Terpenes start to seriously evaporate at temperatures 68F or 20C you need to stay as cold as possible whilst bringing the Relative Humidity in the space down into the 40-30% to stay away from that nasty mold ! I used my cold storage room in the basement.. with a dehumidifier running to keep the space at 45% RH & staying at a constant 15c. All while spreading the hash as thin as possible across parchment paper, on top of the white screens with a fan moving air across both sides of the paper. Pictures 36-38 These are some macros i took in the middle of my drying session I fell in love with the colour. Yes i know the black spots are plant material but they will get caught when i bag the hash & squish the oil out. Thing to Note; at this stage it is important to ensure you 'micro plane" the hash down as fine as you can whilst staying weary of the temperature... any "chunks" will hold pockets of moisture.. that lead to potential problems..ie; mold ... Picture/Video 39-41 Successfully planed bubble hash ready to be bagged and Squished ! Picture 42 Ive decided to follow Pedro.. from Pedros Grow Room and double bag to be on the safe side so i don't have any blow outs. So thats One 25u bag inside one 160u bag ! :) Pictures 43 This is almost 3 grams of the bubble hash from above, already melting in the bag.. this is where i ran into trouble again lol things started getting to warm in the house and i was only able to get one of the three squish's i did on video :( things started getting sticky. Picture 44 This is basically just a photo of the equipment I'm using; 3x5 LowTemp Cage in the frame I built myself, with a 20Ton bottle jack. Something to note here is this is an older Lowtemp model with only a single heating zone which is which i have it closed here heating Both sides of the press :) As well as the importance of having adequate pressure on your plates.. my rig is very overkill for the size of hash bags..lol Video 45 Here is the lovely press video.. its didn't quite work the way i wanted either lol my directional folding wasn't quite tight enough for a big "drip" :) &the Press was set to 65°c Photo's 46-50 are pretty self explanatory :) I had a blow out.. but still managed to pull an 80% return from the hash once squished...& yes it tasted amazing :) Was it worth it in the end... that could be debated.. for some..i understand..its not your thing, but for those of us that are interested in making our own concentrates.. free from Solvents... Week 1 : Six Shooter Biotabs running 3 six shooters one of them is in the biotabs line up, so far very easy although you do have to prepare a bunch of stuff, for the next four weeks it's nothing else so there's that which i nice. Basically, mixed everything acording to the label, i think i didnt add enough orgatrex but hopefully that's fine, just been struggling to keep the seedlings at the right humidity so i've been spraying them. Since i had the boom boom spray i decided to use it, and since i had so much of it left i decided to keep using it as a humidifier. so basically the seedlings oscillate from 20°C and 66RH to 23 and 63RH. giving a vpd of 0,5 to 1.1 depending on the wetness of the medium. the biotabs strains are all moist not wet (like the other pots) after one day , going to let it dry out then 2 more L per biotabs pot basically. i wonder how this little thing can grow into a plant sometimes 😂 that's it 🚀 Was a bit worried about this on as it really didnt like the wet medium and overwatering, doing much better now, main thing is don't panic and don't water before the medium is actually dry. 🚀

Shes looking good. Still has those light spots shes growing fine so im not worried. I had my math wrong for the nutes last week and fixed that this week i have to remember i planted her two weeks after the blueberry so shes gonna be smaller but the past few days she started getting a little taller im excited to see her start to stretch. Feeding them 1.5 litre now and theyre drying out almost every other day. 3 days later and shes already dry so i gave her an extra litre of water this feed. Made sure to adjust the math for the nutes Shes getting even taller but her leaves were small and bunched up and were keeping alot of light from the buds in the crotches so i took a decent amount off but left a good amount. The pistils are starting to turn to buds so im excited to that start Nothing to complain about.

Mar 10th Week 13 CDP # 2 is doing awesome Some LST required and possibly some more defoliation this week CDP # 1 is picking up a little bit from last week but still far behind it’s sister plant Mar 13th Fresh nutrients today More defoliation CDP # 1 is still lagging behind CDP # 2 is healthy happy filling out nicely It is the biggest plant in the tent Mar 14th Defoliated CDP # 2 big time. Took me an hour or so. This is an experiment with defoliation for me. I want to see if this will help provide the stimulus to produce buds instead of leaves. All in an attempt to get the biggest nuggets I can.

Will update after dry/cure - wet trim - 12 and a half weeks from seed to harvest.

They have super citrus and lemony mixed with floral notes it's just absolutely awesome,I'd love to get a few bags of these nugs,I'm growing using nothing but organic dry amendments,I prepare a super soil recipe using guanokalong nutrients and also florians living organics,love the organic aromas,I definitely want to grow this strain just because of that characteristic like lemon with floral notes it's awesome,but I feel like they are not going to be very productive.

5/18 It's not raining now but it's supposed to later. The plants are protected though. I have brought them out to continue hardening. It's only 57 degrees but they'll be alright. I used what little water was left in the bottom of the gallon to lightly water what looked like it needed it most. I mixed up another gallon and I'll check them again before they go in for the night. These plants are getting hardened off properly. I've had some pretty serious problems when I try to transition to quickly. I don't see ANY problems (knock on wood) thus far. Pink kush reminds me of purple punch. It grows similarly and starts off slow. I hope it turns the corner like the purple punch did and make up for it with the quality of flower. I topped/fimmed a special kush #1. I'll update when I bring them in for the night. This week I'll clean/sanitize the cage and the grow bags. EDIT: PLANTS SPENT A LITTLE OVER 3 HOURS IN THE LEAN-TO WITH INDIRECT SUNLIGHT AND EXPOSIRE TO OUTDSIDE AIR, TEMPS AND RH. I DIDNT WATER WHEN I BROUGHT THEM BACK IN. I'LL CHECK TOMM MORNING AND SEE HOW THEY LOOK. IT HAD JUST STARTED TO RAIN LIGHTLY WHEN I BROUGHT THEM IN. THEY ARE PRETTY SHELTERED FROM WIND AND RAIN IN THE LEAN-TO. 5/19 It's thunderstorms out with high winds so the girls will probably stay in today. They look like they are acclimating well. I can see where some of the FIMS took. I redid one I think. I'll update later if do anything. 5/20 Everything looked AMAZING this morning. Boy that MK ULTRA has get some thick branches already forming. Another shitty rainy day. I consulted chatgtp and it was on the same page as me. No real benefit to expose my girls to 47° Temps, cold rain qnd wind. It will be shitty a couple more days. I'll evaluate things later. WATERED EVERYTHING TODAY. TOPSOIL WAS DRY. I USED APPROX 2/3 OF A GALLON ON EACH PLANT. 5/21 I've got a super busy day. I left early and it was to cold to put the girls out. It's 55° at 9:30a.m. It may rain off and on but I think the girls would do okay in the lean-to. I need to get them ready and hardened for their forever homes. Time seems like it's flying. We are getting close to being able to put them out without risk of reveg. Plus I'm not subjecting my girls to un needed stress for no reason. I'll update what I do. 5/22 Plants were dry this morning. I used what was left in the gallon jug to water all the plants. I don't wantcto overwater and I'd like to keep the nutes in the soil where the plant can absorb them. Not just leak out the bottom. They are all growing at an incredible pace. It's currently 49°F at 9:45. It's overcast with a chance of rain. We are at what was suppised to be the high for the day. If we get above 55 I'll bring the girls out and continuing hardening. I guess it's not going to he an early season. Won't be long though and these girls will be in their final homes. I'm impressed with what I've seen so far. EDIT: ITS 4PM AND THE SUN JUST PEEKED OUT FOR A FEW MINUTES AND IS GONE AGAIN. PLANTS LOOK FANTASTIC. IM SO GLAD I KEPT THEM IN DURING THESE 40 LOW 50 DEGREE WET DAYS. IT'LL ONLY STRESS THEM IMO SINCE THEY LOOK SO GOOD. AS SOON AS THIS RAINSTORM AND COLD WEATHER PASSES WE SHOULD HAVE DECENT WEATHER. JUST A FEW MORE DAYS WHERE HIGHS ARE IN THE 40'S. I FEEL BAD FOR THOSE PEOPLE THAT SAW THOSE HIGH 70-80 DEGREE DAYS AND PUT THEIR PLANTS OUT. THEY ARENT DOING GOOD. JUST LOOKING AT THE FOLIAGE AROUND AND I CAN SEE TREES THAT ARE JUST LIMP. THE BLOSSOMS ON THIS SPECIES LOOK LIKE A CANNABIS PLANT IN VEG WHEN IT GOT COLD SHOCKED. ANYWAY MY BODY IS KILLING ME. I GOT A LOT DONE. AND I SOAKED MY BAGS FOR 40 MINS IN A MICTURE OF DAWN, H202 AND WATER. PRIOR I USED A WIRE BRUSH TO GET ALL DIRY AND STUFF OFF I COULD. THEN I SOAKED THEM AND AFTER I RINSED THEM. I COULD SEE THE H2O2 DOING ITS WORK. REALISTICALLY I SHOULD GET NEW BAGS. ITS JUST NOT IN THE FINANCES RIGHT NOW. OH WELL. THEYVE BEEN SANITIZED AND WASHED AND ILL GO OVER THE ONES THAT ARE STAINED AGAIN JUST TO MAKE SURE I DONT SPREAD SOMETHING. 5/23 What a miserable day. It's 44° and pouring out. I put a screenshot of tbe weather and you can see that after the next few shitty days we are getting sunny weather in the 70's. Light is long enough for them now. I need to dial back the timer morecto get them acclimated. I just have to clean up the cage and they are ready to go. Bags are sanitized. I'm going to spend some more time getting some algae off a couple. These plants are flourishing. I am happy I picked 1gal over 3gal before the transplant. It's turned out perfect thus far. Really looking forward to this. Oh and I watered everything a LITTLE bit as it was dry. Enough to get it through until they get a full watering before going outside. I also attempted a FIM on the other 10th planet. The FIM on the mk ultra worked and I've got at least three tops. 5/23 WATERED ALL PLANTS WITH APPROXIMATELY A HALF GALLON. Plants were all super light and dry. I keedcto water more volume at a time. This is easier than fixing overwatering. Things are getting tight in here. Plants are getting huge! The FIMs and Toping that ive done took. That big mk ultra has 4 or 5 tops on it! Plants look super healthy. Good weather is coming. They'll be in their forever homes shortly. It's working out perfect. Some of these plants look like they'll need a transplant soon. Still need to clean up the grow cage but that will only take a minute. Also need to fix a tear I made in a grow bag but again thats just normal small shit. If you look at the snap shot of weather I took you can see the weather is going to improve greatly. This is when I'll do the majority of work. I'll update anything else I do.

Well, it's finally time for an update, right? And for a newbie like me this week has been quite eventful! 😲 After last week's "Helmet Head" (which I suppose was my fault for not burying the seed deep enough 😱) her leaves started to look twisty, Honestly don't know why that happened but my three hypothesis are: because that's just the way she is, because I didn't properly bury the seed or I made a mistake somewhere else. However I also think she looks pretty and this makes her look quite "special" 👍. In her 6-7th day after sprouting I noticed her leaves started to look even more twisty and she was about to outgrow her cup. I worried and decided that it was the right moment to transplant her. At first I didn't know "how" to do it and all I knew is that I could shock her if I did it wrong (which worried me haha 😨). None of the sites I checked really specified any kind of information regarding how I should prepare the medium for the new plant (just some vague information here and there) so I came with the idea to just water it bit and then "massage" the soil to avoid making it "lumpy" and I feel it did work out well in the end! I feel I didn't shock her much and in her second day she was growing even more as well! Nice! 😍 Next week I'll start feeding Puff with some nutrients but the PPM of the tap water where I live is somewhat high (around 600) and it's electroconductivity is around 1200 us/cm but a lot of growers in here still use it (they just wait for chlorine to evaporate) so I'll try doing the same. I'll use half dose of Biobizz Bio Grow and half dose of another product called Gold Sunshine from Quemanta (which is Cal-Mag with some amino acids) and see how things develop! 😃 I'll try to see if I can make my DSLR take the photos for future timelapses, because my webcam sucks for that job! Another week in Fat Yappa's Garden comes to an end with all the plants still doing well. The Bruce Banner which I snapped the stem just above the second node from the top is pretty much ready for the chop, the other two more mature plants are not too far behind, a week at most, and the Bruce Banner runt has pretty much caught up with her slightly older sisters. The Wedding Cheesecake growing in Canna Coco, which still towers above everything else in the tent at pretty much the same height as the lights, despite her tallest being bent over by LST has developed quite a lot of bud sites but not nearly as chunky as the Bruce Banners, and has started to fade with yellows and purples in the leaves and pistons. Her sister, growing in living soil is probably the furthest behind in the grow but seems to be developing a bit more like the Bruce Banners, and I put this down to the pot of the Coco Coir I used being round and much narrower than the other five, square Viviosun smart pots I used which was a bit of a fail for the LST, especially when combined with the rapid rate this plant took of at, where as I think the other was perhaps stunted a bit by being germinated in a coco coir pellet then placed in soil. I think I will try a peat pellet next time I grow in living soil and see if that improves it. The plants have remained on there same water schedule but I have noticed the more mature plants taking much less water. The most mature plant could probably go three days on 2.5l now, where as a week or two these plants had 2.5l daily over two days and then began to slow down again. I have kept the PH between 6.5 and 6.8 as I read its better for flowering to aim for the higher end of the range, especially when growing with dry amendments. Day 66 saw another compost tea, the same recipe as previously but this time I increased the bat guano from 1 to 2 tablespoons. Other than that I have continued to defoliate once a week, opening up light to the canopy and tried to open it up with a tightening of the LST ties. Stress in regard to the different stages of plant development increase as Harvest nears, as I was previously envisaging me drying in the tent and cutting the plants in a oner, but I have order a ThermPro TP50, and the rest is next weeks problem.
