2024-07-21 Indoor We are coming to an End. The lovely Opium is about to get Harvested. iam so pleased with this Strain. The Indoor Plant shows very good ripeness along the Colas, the Plant itself is stimm lovely green, only a few leaves are fading. so I normally say, she still has Time. Bit the trichomes say another thing. All Milky, and a good amount of brown trichomes her smell is amazing, the domestic secnt is like apricot/ peach, with some delicous undertones. OUTDOOR This lady prepares for flower, shes in stretch and made 20 cm plus the last week. She drinks minimum 5l but is asking for more. and shes hungry, so she gets feedings every other day, until i see , that she stops stretching. fantastic Girls there is stimm a 3rd plant growing outdoors, she sits in a 30l Pot , i havent decided where to finish her. so stay tuned for the last big cut, and for the Update Divine Seeds developed Opium as a new champion strain, unprecedently powerful and loaded with unbelievable quantities of resin. Certainly, no average genetic base could be behind such brilliant parameters! Several Afghani Indica landraces, recognized as most potent and resinous, were bred together with a mighty Brazilian Sativa which Opium inherits its bright berry taste from. Then a great deal of work followed aiming for the highest THC level and endurability as well as a branchy structure that would provide maximal yields. Now we can proudly title Opium the best Indica you could dream of growing! Indoors these plants mostly stay mid-height (1.5 m), reaching up to 2.0 m out of doors. Depending on your height limitations, Opium flourishes universally in grow boxes, balconies, green houses and terraces. Due to its Afghani parentage, this strain can stand hot weather if provided enough water and some shadow. Responds well to any training techniques: ScroG and SoG, LST, topping and FIM, supercropping. The start of blooming is marked with a rush of growth, when plants stretch almost 1.4x. Expect heavy colas that often require additional supports. Whilst ripening, Opium gives off a pungent earthy stench with fruity and berry undertones, also a bit of pine. Ready for outdoor harvesting in October. The stoning psychedelic impact of Opium is like being hypnotized (unless you’ve had too much, then it feels more like a blackout). Stone-lovers will appreciate every minute with Opium: its spicy taste immerses your mind into daydreaming, while the body rests flat. Recreation with this psychedelic Indica means silent tripping from one insight to another. Mighty enough to kill chronical pains, Opium is also medically efficient against insomnia, nausea, appetite disorders, muscle spasms, headaches, irritation, fatigue, panic attacks, epilepsy. Best consumed at night time, the effects keep going for up to 4 hours.

Day 85 - first day of Week 13 and she is going into darkness for 48 hours. Hasn't been watered since 2 days. Even though she looks the least done of all three, her trichomes are now a good 20-30% amber with the rest milky and some tiny bits of clear. I checked her buds on the calyx all around, from top buds to middle to bottom. She really shows a lot of heavily swolen calyxes, which I have never seen like that. I can now add that to the things I learned/experienced: calyxes swell a lot before the plant is finished. Let's see. My Girl Scout Cookies does not look like she even has calyxes. Funny individuals. Happy wedding cake day, almost 😍 Day 88 - out of darkness. She was in there for 2,5 days. Opening the drying tent she gave off a really strong smell of hash 😍wow. She has some nice looking buds and looks def. more done, but below her dress, she has some light fluffy buds. I have hung all of them now in the dry tent, after I removed some of the bigger fan leaves. One part of it, I think I want to low and slow dry in the fridge. I am interested in finding out about the difference in taste, when a more wholesome profile is retained. For anyone interested, I can highly recommend this forum and this article: https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/drziggys-low-and-slow-drying-maximizing-your-harvest.366783 Another part I would like to use for fresh cut oil, also from here: https://www.420magazine.com/community/threads/fresh-harvest-infused-cannabis-oil.363371/ As with everything else, I was obsessing about the perfect dry room & conditions. I bought a small tent (40x40cm), a small oszillating fan hung over the buds/on top of the tent. Due to size limitations, I have the filter on the bottom with the duct leaving the tent at the bottom connecting to an exhaust fan. Inside the tent I have a humidity sensor from an Inkbird Humidity regulator. Connected to that is a mini-dehumidifer and a humidifier. I have set it to 20°C (68F) and 50-55% humidity. I'm excited to see how long my dry will last this time. My first grow was drying way too fast in the middle of the heat wave last year with 30% humidity. The overview added to the pictures, I started making over Christmas. It was when I noticed, that I'm a so impatient, and that something must be wrong, especially in the first weeks. I get so obsessive, that I tend to overcare. Which she showcases beautifully in this overview. I hope this will calm me down the next time. Oh my haha Let's see what the final dry weight is. My guess is about 25-35g. Any other guesses? Happy Wedding Cake day 😇

The Tropicanas are forming some nice Buds. This week the change to Plagron Nutrition and a higher EC was made. Plants are constantly beeing defoliated due to little space :D

Just in time for the start of the 5th week, the first pistils appeared, so I started adding Bio-Grow to the fertilizer. The plant now takes up almost the entire surface area of the grow box, but fortunately it has stretched a little and gained some height. The LST was adjusted again and again and a few leaves were removed from time to time so that as many shoots as possible received enough light.

Update on the Durban Cookies lLineage - Durban Poison and Cookie F2 (PurpleCaperSeeds). Grow is looking strong. Think I should've lollipopped a bit harder, the foliage is just so thick. I have been removing fan leaves where I see them blocking budsites... and can reach. Raising the height continuously to keep it away from the Durban cookies stretch only have a few more inches left. Dehumidifier set up. Terrified of mold or anything that could hurt these girls late stage.

Days 15 to 17, varying by plant: My journey of experimentation, aiming to refine and perfect my cannabis cultivation methods, continues. This venture’s ultimate objective is to position myself as a preeminent cannabis cultivator in my locale. As I navigate through the labyrinth of regulatory licensing, I’m conducting a trial run with my seedlings under continuous lighting conditions and a minimal nutrient regime. My primary goal during this phase is to identify any potential hiccups that could hinder the growth process and ultimately impact the productivity of my intended commercial operation. As I delve deeper into this exploratory phase, I draw invaluable insights from the thriving cannabis community, whose collective wisdom informs my decision-making process. Given my geographical location and available resources, I’ve opted for a strategic shift in my cultivation strategy. Previously, I’ve been procuring seeds at an average cost of $10 to $22 per seed, with a relatively broad success rate variance, ranging from 70% to 85%. However, an alternative presents itself in the form of local cultivators. These businesses offer cannabis plants aged between 2 to 4 weeks, boasting an impressive variety of over 100 strains. These juvenile plants are offered at a cost-effective rate: an average of $100 for eight plants. With a success rate hovering between 70% and 95%, these plants offer excellent value. Essentially, I can access pre-grown plants at a substantial discount, in turn significantly boosting my chances of success. Consequently, I am poised to transition away from growing cannabis from seeds to harvesting. By sourcing my plants from local cultivators, I stand to significantly reduce overhead and production time—an undeniably smart move from a business standpoint. This strategic pivot signifies the end of an era and the exciting beginning of a more efficient and cost-effective chapter in my cannabis cultivation journey. I am currently outlining a plan to expand my cultivation by acquiring several juvenile plants, which should be happening between July 1st and 3rd. The new additions to my garden will include Acapulco Gold, Gelato, White Truffle, and Runtz. These will be cultivated in harmony with the existing growth, which comprises God’s Gift, Northern Lights, and the final surviving F1 Epsilon. My primary objective is to establish the most efficient and cost-effective supply chain possible. I aim to achieve this through the use of an off-grid system that runs solely on solar power, which will ensure complete sustainability and renewability. From a business standpoint, this approach is advantageous as it allows me to leverage the growth of high-quality plants that are already in the cultivation phase. The new plants are expected to arrive in about a week. If the growth rate of the currently cultivated plants doesn’t meet expectations, I’ll be incorporating several of the newly arrived plants into the hydroponics systems. This methodical approach aims to ensure an optimal growth rate and the highest possible yield. I also wish to address the cannabis grower community directly. I hope that my decision to skip the seed-to-plant stage does not cause any offense. My intentions are simply focused on maximizing quality and output, while minimizing our carbon footprint. I believe this approach is in the best interest of sustainability and efficiency, without compromising on the quality that our community values so highly. As we proceed with this venture, we’re currently in the phase of collecting equipment and navigating through the licensing process. To help lower our overhead and assist with consulting fees, we would greatly appreciate any donations, especially in terms of lighting equipment. Your support in this endeavor will contribute significantly towards optimizing our operation and will be deeply appreciated. Disclaimer: Let it also be known I am completely abiding by all state laws, and do not plan on selling any of this current bud. This is for research to avoid future growing "potholes" in the growing part of the business as we have a very small team. My end goal is to help change the current stigma around cannabis and provide a useful service that can help localize and reduce the inflation on cannabis prices in socal by providing a logical supply system. Again I intend on doing all things through the legal route as there is no need to do other wise given the laws on personal use and growing.

this is a pretty low risk, high reward strain as far as growing goes. this cut has a uniquely tart flavor, and has potent effects with a high ‘roof’ to the buzz. reputable strain for sure, hesitate not to consider for your garden.

Day 9: installed this Pro Co2 bucket in my grow tent 2 days ago. Really looking forward to see what this addition brings and if Co2 can really improve a run. Only time will tell Day 12: Everything is going good.. Added Foxfarm Acid Lovers dry fertilizer, scratched it into the top inch of soil about a tbsp and a half and watered good. I checked ph the other day and somehow soil ph was all the way up to 7.0 hopefully this FFAL will drop that a little. Also got some trifold poster boards and stapled sheets of mylar to them to reflect more light. 12/2 Ending week 2 gotta say everything is going as good as I could hope this lady is in full affect first time ever growing this strain and I can tell its a good one. Great genetics can't wait to see end result
