Week 11 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants Hello, Grow Diaries fam! 🌱✨ This week’s update is all about setting up for the big transition—we’re finally flipping these beauties into flower! But before we do, I took some important steps to ensure a smooth transition. Defoliation & Why It Matters Before Flower Before the flip, I gave them a thorough defoliation, clearing out lower and overcrowded leaves. Why? Because: More Light Penetration – Helps lower bud sites develop properly. Better Airflow – Reduces humidity buildup and risk of mold. Focused Energy – Encourages the plant to put energy into strong bud production instead of unnecessary foliage. Of course, balance is key—I trimmed enough to open things up but left plenty for healthy growth. Final Pre-Flip Routine • Temps & RH: Holding steady at 22°C with 66% RH, keeping conditions ideal before flower. • 💧 Nutrients: Running the Aptus Holland Clean Feeding Approach with: • Regulator for plant resilience. • RO Water Conditioner to balance pH and improve uptake. • System Clean, even though I’m not using a hydro system, to keep the root zone optimal. • All-in-One Liquid, which is now the primary nutrient source. • 🔄 Watering: Still bottom-watering to keep gnats away and encourage strong root growth. 36-48 Hours of Darkness Before the Flip Before switching the room to 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness, I’ll be giving them a 36-48 hour dark period. This technique helps signal the plants that it’s time to transition, leading to a faster and stronger flower initiation. 11/3/19 - These bitches are sooo strong! Everything is going very good. Feeding is changing this week. I am so excited to see what they do! The stretch has slowed. I will lower the lights next week. Added a new light for the one I moved to the corner. We will see on how it affects the evromntals. 11/4/19 - Gave a feeding tonight 4 cups per plant. 2 cups are Coco Bloom A&B with Silica Blast. The other two cups are terp, candy, cal, big, sens. This combo of nutes and water volume every two days seams to be doing very good. I premix my nutes in gallon water bottles. I love the Crystal Geyser bottles. They only $1 and have nice handles. I refill each bottle with a Zero Water filter pitcher. That keeps the TDS down low. 11/5/19 - WOW, I just love after a good feeding. The girls just JUMP right up. When I took the environment pic, the temp was a little high while the RH was a little low. It has now laid down to 75/55 with the lights on. 11/6/19 - They are drinking a bunch. Gave them 1 cup each of the solutions to keep them good till Friday.

She has a sweet cookies and pine smell. Very frosty and should be a very calming smoke. I didn't have any major issues during the grow. This week the lsd Plants were under lst training and only one lsd stretched, the Black Berries weren’t under lst one stretched also.The Gorilla cookie is a week behind and is doing good.Today I will defoliate the plants. Due to Next week they should start flipping into the flowering stage, the lsd to the right looks like it started flowering

The gelato is obviusly a strain that develop large fat colas instead of long colas, she's very resinous. The smell Is pumping out and Is like a breeze that refresh my lungs every time i open the box. She doesnt need too much water. 3 weeks to go.

This week the girls have improved a little, the yellowing stopped, I discovered that Cal-Max from Grotek interferes with the composition of the hesi line so the girls suffer a nutrient lock, I stopped using it and the girls have continued with their relatively normal development. They are already in their 5th week of flowering, Tutankhamun has produced a gigantic amount of resin, Lennon is gaining weight at full speed and he still has about 6 weeks left. Anubis, despite its intense pale yellow color, is gaining weight quite well and its resin production is unimaginable and there are only about 2 and a half weeks left. I hope that from now on no more problems arise and that the girls finish their flowering in the best way. This is it for this week guys, I hope you are doing well!

Just water from here on out, probably cut down in a week. Trichomes looking pretty cloudy, almost turning amber

- introduced 7W far red light bulb to boost stretching (girls are VERY bushy) - slowly drying soil (so I drilled more holes on side of the pot like a cheap dyi airpot) - preflower Keyra (the bigger one) is what I would say a stretching phase and Margot (smaller) evidently falls behind but not stretching yet, I hope she catches her atleast little bit..

Week 8 is going great, started flush toward the end of week 7 on Zkittlez and OG Kush. Also started flushing Pink Kush CBD and Purple Punch at start of week 8. All are packing weight still and smelling very fragrant. Trichomes are starting to cloud out and I am planning on harvesting when trichomes are starting to amber.

Merlin Mintz is up, and going. Great germination, and everything is looking good. My only concern is if the nutrition is too strong. Recovery week. Last week everything went to hell this week everything is looking up. Squanch Queen is turning into my favorite one of the bunch. She is super resilient and bounced back quickly, the Skywalker and Quarter Pounder are both going to finish early due to all the stresses and stunting early on in the grow. Squanch Queen looks to be going 9 to 10 weeks inspite of all the issues. Definitely a good strain from Night Owl to pick up if your a beginner, much more forgiving. I definitely want to try the Skywalker again with a better setup. Ph runoff is looking much much better.

Here we are guys in the middle of week 4 for some and week 3 for the rest!! Alot of them are going into pre flowering. All 12 confirmed females:) amazing rapid growth they are loving these autocobs:). All smiles everyday gg4 and tangie are stretching so amazing. Lights 24/7 in less then two weeks they will all being going into a 4x8 !

So this was the week changed the light cycle to 12/12. I also went to town again and defoliated, lollipopped and ScrOGed them

12 weeks / 84 days old today. So my first grow journey is coming to an end! Not a lot to report this week. Been using my jewellers loupe daily to keep an eye on the trichomes and can definitely see a big difference. (Sorry, pictures are crap - don’t have enough hands to get a good one!) Still watering with plain water but they’re taking a lot less and only been watered every 4 days or so. Sticky orange has lots of cloudy trichomes and starting to get a few Amber. Her leaves are drying off so she is getting harvested before the weekend. Purple skunk is a bit behind so I think I will wait and see how she goes for another week or so. I always thought she’d be the one to finish first too. I think I will be drying in the garage. We are consistently getting 18 degrees outside now but with the temperature drops at night, I am not sure whether to bring the buds inside overnight. I’ll be drying in a hanging ‘herb’ dryer and I have my curing jars all labelled and ready to go. Thinking of wet trimming roughly then going in for a final dry trim later once dry to neaten them up. Drying advice welcome! I did think I’d have to harvest in stages and chop the lower buds later on. But even the bottom buds look like they’ve caught up this week. I have honestly enjoyed every second of this grow and I’m almost disappointed it’s nearly finished. But at the same time, I can not wait to see (and taste) the final result!
