12.08.25 weather is back on Sommer Mode and the plants continue to start flowering except the Quick Sherbet which still lacks visible signs. I installed a smart plug and camera to be able to give additional water on hot days based on leave tension while on vacation. The setup was super easy. I plan on top dressing flower fertilizer a second time at the end of August. Enjoy the weather if you can and happy growing to everyone!

New Aeroponics "root rain" mist cloner! Holds 2 gallons of water. I added 8 Tsp of CloneX clone/seedling nutrient. PH was 6.0-6.5ish, good enough! These clones inside got zapped pretty hard one day, because I forgot to plug in the water pump one time after playing with it hehehe... Some didn't make it, but most survived! every other plant was watered with just de-chlorinated tap water, for re-hydration. #4 has been selected as the winning pheno! The mother plant had her home upgraded to a 2gal pot. The root ball was not so bound, due to her receiving a root-prune not too long ago, she was re-potted back into a solo cup. I pruned the bottom of the root mass off with a light pinch, and potted her into her new 2gallon home!

Did first nutrient feeding w fox farms nutes. Very little. Things were going perfect then I woke up this am to slight curling again. I changed light distance and put in my other light as well so I’m now in need of ac unit or another fan bc it’s getting hotter, 85. Or I figure I could run my exhaust fan 24/7 and take it off my humidity switch but then I got to possibly get another humidifier bc the exhaust fan takes the humidity out of the room. Idk but the girls all in all are looking good to me. started lst on 6/30 using grow big and big bloom now

I transplanted the plants into larger pots, the photoperiodic in a 50-liter pot filled with supersoil while the auto fractal by divine seeds in an 11-liter pot hoping there are no problems. Delay on the autoflowering, humidity at 75%, pH of the osmotic water 6.5, air conditioner 25 degrees, marshydro fc4800 .

"Chugging" along this week. Weather is hot, girls are loving the all time drip system. Forgot that my nutes and hot sun dont mix well and created a bad case of algae. Will monitor more often and maybe increase the drip flow

During this week the plant has basically done its last big stretch. The hairs have started to develop and I have stopped using root boosters as stretching is slowing down , on the other hand I have added nirvana to help increase production and resine.

* ********* Week 11 - June 20 to 26, 2020 - Days 71 to 77 from germination *********** * It is the end of flush week and she went into darkness on Wednesday night, day 75, for two days. Saturday will be harvest day and start and the dry process👍 This week she continued to fill in and she also pushed out more frosty tricombs!! The fade happened this week more and she fed off of more of the nutrients within the plant.....perfect😃......would like a little more even but she was ready based on tricombs. Would like to have seen the lower leaves a little more yellow but its good. I am feeling very strongly that the big part of the pH issues this run was a change in feed water. I have always used bottled RO water for all my grows, except outdoors, but this grow I switched to tap water. Dechlorinated the water with air stone and gave it 24 hours min before using. Wanted to save some money and tired of lugging bottles downstairs a couple of times a week☹️ This is worked out nicely and a lot more convenient. However, the city must be putting some crap in the water that is causing issues in my media and raises the pH after the watering. Out of the tap it is 8.4pH and 275ppm. Since ppm were not too bad in my opinion I moved forward without filtering the water.......oops🤬🤬🤬 Out of options on what is causing the issue, I switched back to RO water late last week........all the girls are happier!!!! F......missed the cause for weeks. Always learning from this plant and my own mistakes to get better every run😉👍 Also wanted to add a little more stress to girl to help push out some increased resin. I drilled a 5/16” hole into the main stem to cause her stress. I did this rather than trying to break a branch and will see it goes this run. Sterilized a new bit in Alcohol and went for it. They went into darkness about a couple of hours later. Excited to see what happens when she comes out to get chopped😃😃 Not really a lot more to add this week as it was mainly looking at the tricombs and her buds. The pH will impact the harvest but she has been fun to grow and very resilient to pest and bug issues as well as grower curve balls. As always.......nice job Sweet Seeds....... SWS56 is very solid and I look forward to running her again one day. Beautiful little girl and makes me smile😃😃😃 Little more detail...... June 20/20 - Day 71 - Rezin and Liquid Weight @ 2ml/L = 285ppm and 4.0pH - 8L given to get a good flush....pH still running around 7.4 - Runoff in pots already were 7.9pH and 685ppm. - after 8L water runoff was 7.4pH and 360ppm. - she is 20” tall and 24” wide. - a number of clear tricombs but more becoming cloudy. June 21/20 - Day 72 - dry out day. - buds are firming up......squeezed a couple🧐 June 22/20 - Day 73 - Rezin @ 1ml/L = 120ppm and pH the water to 2.7!!!!!!!!! - Given 2L watering. - No runoff water and I am good with that as I want the low pH water to stay in the medium. - her frost levels are really coming out now.....was able to lower tent temps to 75 degrees and 51% humidity......its been raining a bit so damn humidity has been high. June 23/20 - Day 74 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 2.4!!!!!! - not excited about these crazy low pH numbers but doing what we can - her tops are getting more pointy now and ripening nicely - leaves continue to fade......she is close - checking tricombs, I think we are done and tomorrow will be her last day so that I can take down on Saturday. June 24/20 - Day 75 - 2L plain water feed - 80ppm and pH to 3.0 - Going into darkness tonight so this was her last bit of moisture. - drilled a hole into the stem.....was going to do a couple of holes but not trying this method before I decided to leave it with one hole. - into darkness tonight So we finish up the week with her in the dark. Pic was taken 2 days into the other week..all I can say that they are doing their thing have no complaints whatsoever....jus have to tighten up on feeding abit but results are great for the lil that's being done...have to work on increasing resin production and continue to dense up dem bugs Until next time happy growing

Plants named (starting from front) Trump, creepy uncle Joe and Hillary we'll see how each ones does. Figured Joe wants to be in the middle. Trump: Explosive growth and hitting limits of tent space, root zone is stuffed full of fuzzy roots. Buds keep smashing into LED, daily checks needed. No mango hairs yet on bud; maybe next week. Clones pulled right before flowering cycle switch. tldr: Stop growing damn-it! Creepy joe: Squished in the middle and not doing great, but overall joe is still a happy plant, just seems somewhat lost at times. Not alot of stretching on switch. Hillary: Moderate growth overall doing well on the edge; medium performer and should have decent results. She wanted her own lime light; so brought back in the Chinese (branded LED) to shine a bit more brightness to her area. ########Update 7/10 ###################################################################### PH 5.9 Humidity: 79% PPM 1100 CO2 400 Temp 72F cycle time 2mins-off/5seconds-on side notes; need more CO2

So much rain and simply no sun this week. But it looks good. The buds coule be more dense but this is the risk of outdoor. The smell is intense, sweet, earty... The hairs are mostly orange but the trichomes do nit look ready at all I will start flushing this week. No more nutirents

Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending on my photos and cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. Also all close up pics of the Critical+ are with the lights off and flash on. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible.
