I was still seeing strange things happen in the leaves but runoff pH was staying at around 6.5. One plant toppled over and started growing up from a bent stalk like an herb. I started looking for a new reflector so that I could mount my light horizontally instead of vertically to save space and ideally find a way to get the plants closer to the light without burning them. I started looking into MH bulbs as well as I figured at this point I clearly hadn't provided the light they needed. If I wanted them to thrive I needed to set them up properly for the last few weeks of veg. I transplanted this week into slightly bigger coco pots but in retrospect I feel I should have gone up to 3 gallon pots at this point.

11/6 Fed and watered. Each took a full gallon. 11/8 They are really drinking up the water. They were dry already so I watered each with a full gallon. 11/10 Watered each with a full gallon 11/13 Watered and fed each with a gallon.

So I have decided to only note when changes are made, observations are warranted, or I feel something of note has happened. I'll still do daily progressions, but the rest has already been documented and no need to create a hundred new pics showing the same. Just understand that if I say "7.1ph," or something with tested amounts that I mean I first calibrated and tested my ph pens and all units are measured for accuracy. I am learning as I go, so it would be of no benefit to report inaccurate details. 112/42 VPD and PPFD are still the same this week. 73-76F in the day and 66-68 overnight with RH set to not exceed 55% but is mostly at 45 to 50% now that winter is here. The fan is set to auto and I have 2 de-humidifiers in the tent. The PH lockout issue is still in progress but I am starting to get the soil up to snuff now. I think using the knitting needles has the most beneficial effect on the soil as it both aerates and allows the nutes to get deeper. 113/43 Defoliated today. I removed the worst of the affected fan leaves and this unfortunately only leaves sugar leaves to run photosynthesis process. Im hoping she still gets enough of everything else to grow the buds, but only time will tell. I will take new control pics for new progression on 3 other sites now. Watering Days. All feeds with nutes use either a whole ratio, or combination, of "Veg Mix" and "Bloom Mix"concentrates. These are/will be DILUTED in water until a total ppm of add-in is reached using a (Total Dissolved Solids) TDS Meter measured in PPM (parts per million). The "Veg Mix" concentrate will eventually be added-in larger, then smaller, ratios while the "Bloom Mix" concentrate will eventually replace the "Veg Mix" concentrate entirely. The ppm and ratios will be listed when I feed. Veg mix recipe is on week 3. Bloom Mix recipe is on week 5. Last feed was day 110/40 (next will be +3) I expect to continue to use 7.1ph with 650ppm of bloom mix concentrate and feed 2.5 gallons every 3 to 4 days, so I expect about 8 to 11 cups of runoff at that time as well. I have decided that I will try to add 1 ml of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) per gallon of feed on each feed for a week or two to see if this can help against ph lockout of calcium since it cant be N,P, or K. Cant be N because she uses WAY less N in flower, and it cant be P or K because I am getting nute burn with the feeds I am already using... so my conclusion is that she need more micro nutes from the lockout, and since I was thinking it was Calcium in the start, I am going to try a more detailed treatment to test results against from here. Day 113/43 (last feed was day 110/40) Tested and Calibrated my ph pens. Fed 2.5 gallons of purified water (starting with 16ppm) mixed with 658ppm of 100% Bloom Mix Concentrate. Due to this soil showing a possible calcium deficit, I am starting a 1ml per gallon add-in to test on all plants using this soil, so I added 2.5ml of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) to the feed then I ph balanced before feeding. The ph on this feed was balanced to 7.1. I used knitting needles to help both aerate the soil and create new water pathways for the roots. (a practice I may consider a new feeding standard for all my plants) I got ~7 cups of runoff (~11 cups last feed). Higher runoff volume was expected with the feed volume but glad to see she's taking it better now since I started knitting needles. Runoff was tested at 6.12ph and 2250ppm (5.9ph with 1860ppm last feed). Top soil tested at 6.23,6.31,6.57,6.38 for an avg of 6.372 (6.327 avg after last feed) - next feed will be 7.1ph again as I'm still liking where the ph is finally going, but rather see it closer to 6.3 or 6.4 top and bottom. I dont see any issues with the feed's data other than the possible calcium deficit and I will continue to monitor runoff ppms as I expected this to be lower with less runoff but have to consider they maybe washing out salt with the knitting needles. Next Feed should be 3 gallons of de-chlorinated tap water ph balanced to 7.1 in +4 days (117/47). I will run 650ppm and 3ml of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) again. Day 117/47 (last feed was day 113/43) Tested and Calibrated my ph pens. Fed 3 gallons of de-chlorinated tap water (starting with 299ppm) mixed with 671ppm of 100% Bloom Mix Concentrate. Due to this soil showing a possible calcium deficit, I am starting a 1ml per gallon add-in to test on all plants using this soil, so I added 3.0ml of CaliMagic (General Hydroponics 1-0-0) to the feed then I ph balanced before feeding. The ph on this feed was balanced to 7.4. I used knitting needles to help both aerate the soil and create new water pathways for the roots. (a practice I may consider a new feeding standard for all my plants) I got ~20 cups of runoff (~7 cups last feed). Higher runoff volume was expected with the feed volume increase might let her go to 4 days again and 2.5 next feed. It could be a result of the knitting needle treatment when feeding. Runoff was tested at 6.10ph and 2070ppm - again thinking it could be a result of the knitting needles (6.12ph and 2250ppm last feed). Top soil tested at 6.23,6.31,6.57,6.38 for an avg of 6.372 (6.372 avg after last feed)- next feed will be 7.1ph again as I'm still liking where the ph is finally going, but rather see it closer to 6.3 or 6.4 top and bottom. The three triple cheese plants are growing at the same rate at the exact same height... They are all from three separate seeds I grew these from seeds they are not clones... But I must know that triple cheese has a problem with cloning.? I finally got three clones to root outdoors but to be fair I did not dedicate a lot of time on getting clones.

Killer Kush #4 is about a week or more behind her girlfriends with flowering. I think i'm gonna chop the three girlfriends and give #4 a week more for flower buildup....she's the biggest girl it would be a shame for her not to reach her potential. Aug 22 - Aug 28 Week 16 (Day 106-Day 112) The Low Down- Plants responded well to the Advanced Nutrients I watered with a couple of days ago. By 'responded well' I just mean that they didn't yellow or adversely react. I'm still watering 2 gallons per day per plant when I water, but I skipped a day since I don't want to get root rot. Twice before I have had the plants get waterlogged at the bottom of the pot (obviously right =-) ), and I didn't know then that it caused the leaves to yellow from the bottom up. I honestly thought I had nutrient burn. That said, I skipped a day on the watering. I applied kelp meal on day 111. I broke my rule and used Monterey B.T. on day 111. Honestly--I felt scared because I can't inspect the plants everyday so I went for the Monterey b.t. to combat the caterpillars. Not sure if I will apply again since we are in flowering. The Plants- The plants look great and smell great. Thank you EQuillibrium Genetics. Everyday they get a little more aromatic. The smell is somewhere between minty/lemony/orangey and some bomb ass weed. Will definitely hit. One day I could've sworn it smelled like that Gary Payton weed, basically kushy, citrusy, and a little sour diesely. On DAY 108 in the morning they smelled like orange fanta. Amendments- I applied kelp meal on DAY 111 (Aug 22). The quality has improved in my plants since I started more actively amending the soil a few years back. Before I just used to add that Alaska fish emulsion directly on the soil once a month. Now I use Kelp Meal from Down-to-Earth and the Bud Candy and Overdrive from Advanced Nutrients. I even used some cha-ching from Fox Farms at the end of last season. I don't start adding anything until at least a month or two into the grow because the soils I use already come amended. I also continue using the soil year after year. I take all the soil at the end of the year and place it on a tarp. Then I add perlite, bone meal, blood meal, kelp meal, molasses, coffee grinds, banana peels, egg shells, and mix it all up. I let that sit for a couple of weeks or longer and then start using it on my potted plants in the garden. If I have enough left over after 2 months I will fill up the fabric pots again and plant clover, thyme, and oregano during the off season.

I'm thinking shes prolly got like 2-3 weeks left.

Flowers are still stretching towards the light. Also starting to look like actual buds now all that work is starting to show. Plant is now very thirsty and drinking about 3l during lighting hours it could probably drink more every morning the pot is so light showing me that it’s drinking all of it over night I like this plant so much I started making more seeds by rooting the cuttings in soil. They will produce seeds as they will also produce pollen! Hopefully I will contain the pollen away from the main plants by keeping the pots under humidity dome

Day 44 (Jan 10 - Flower Day 10) More of a maintenance day. The focus was keeping the canopy flat and even while the plant continues to push. This is where the tent starts feeling smaller every day. Day 45 (Jan 11 - Flower Day 11) At 02:30 I measured EC 1.466 (1466 µS/cm). At noon, after a top-off (this time with fertilizer included), I landed at EC 1.480 and pH 6.19. Day 46 (Jan 12 - Flower Day 12) At 12:15 I measured EC 1.512. After topping off I ended up at pH 5.75 and EC 1.462. Later I decided to push the reservoir strength up, briefly saw a higher number, then did the right thing: I waited for proper mixing. After 15 minutes of circulation, the stable reading was EC 1.612 with pH 5.88. Canopy-wise she’s starting to look like a literal square under the trellis - which is both hilarious and satisfying. Day 47 (Jan 13 - Flower Day 13) At 00:30 I measured EC 1.618 and pH 6.30. I topped off ~1.5 L of pH’d water and rechecked after circulation: EC ~1.620 and pH ~6.06. After that I adjusted pH down to 5.69. Day 48 (Jan 14 - Flower Day 14) At 00:30 (before top-off): EC 1.622 and pH 6.16. Water level drop was about 2 L out of roughly 9 L, so definitely a big drink. I decided to top off with nutrients this time. After the top-off and ~15 minutes of circulation, the reservoir landed at pH 5.74 and EC 1.720. Canopy / space notes (Week summary) The canopy is getting extremely even and wide — genuinely “square” under the trellis. I’ve been leaf tucking and I also weaved two tops sideways under the net to keep the canopy flat. Height management is now a real factor: the plant is around 43 cm tall even while being woven into the trellis. The good news is I can now rig the light up to about 90 cm above the bucket, which gives much more breathing room than I originally thought. Week takeaway The plant is clearly in a strong stretch phase (big daily growth, big water consumption). The reservoir has been stable when I’m careful with mixing time, and the trellis work is paying off — the canopy is filling the tent efficiently and staying controllable.

This week has gone well, had a bunch of stuff typed out and closed my browser by mistake and now this is #2 attempt to post this week. Easy week for the plants, they have being growing well and I am impressed by the size of them. I added in some potassium silicate to introduce some Si into this grow. I decided to top them as they where starting to grow their 4th node, snipped that tip off and we're golden. They are kinda smelly if you rub them and that's fun too, Some of the hot peppers have also popped up and started growing. I still don't have anything on the Naga Morich pepper that I am hoping for. I have a feeling that as the seeds I got from these peppers where from a dehydrated pepper, they might be duds nuked from the dry heat of the dehydrator. I do have 4 vials of hot pepper seeds where the label has fallen off, I found the labels but no idea what one goes on what bottle. One out of the four bottles is Naga Morich, Having some none dehydrated seeds in my possession is one step closer to getting more of this hottie. I also found a fly out of no where, Its little wing is damaged and it more or less hops and glides unsuccessfully vs fly's but I took some videos of it. I also seen a few fungus gnats, little fuckers where not in my apartment before I am convinced their eggs survive in the stuff I buy then come out of it. Kinda annoying. PLUS I borrowed a light meter from my hydro shop, I was expecting it to be a LUX meter and that I would have to do a bunch of conversions but it was not, it was a legit Quantum Par Sensor, detecting in PPF "Photosynthetic Photon Flux" or umols/s, with these readings I can calculate my PPFD "PPF+Density" I have mapped out my tents floor into a colour coded grid of dots and mapped out the PPF at varying heights and dims. However I did not do it right and need to redo this. But once this is done I will have a functioning PPFD map with relation to my tent. This will help me tone in DLI and get it aorund a solid 35-40. Will be gearing up for a transplant next week. I try and post on Fridays but don't always get around to it. I take the pics on that date though and then try and remember what I was going to write about that week. PS Gorilla Tent Accessory's suck shit. The SCROG nets pic has the gorilla 2x4 SCROG net "black" and the Secret Jardin 2x4 SCROG net "white" beside it. massive difference in quality and size. I should have known when they state on the label its for 2x2 or 2x4, that's not even possible. Also tried out the nutrient line that's part of the gorilla tent company, Lotus, I ran it one year and it was just trash, did not work, had issues since first week and they would not correct. Buddy reached out to me and said same thing happened to him and he disliked the brand. Day 2: Fed with Epsom salt, beetroot powder, shilajit and aloe powder solution. Day 3: Soil is too dry. Began adding extra water with a sprayer. About 1.5L between 5 pots in the morning and another 0.5L in the evening. Day 4: Applied another 100-200ml plain water per pot using the sprayer in the morning. In the evening I fed with a solution of corn steep liquor, seaweed powder and soapnut powder. Day 5: Top dressed with roughly 2tbsp sprouted seed blend per pot and watered in with roughly 500ml water per pot. Soil still isn't wet enough. Day 6: Fed with roughly 400ml plain water per pot. Will use the sprayer later to feed more plain water in bursts, until each pot is as heavy as I want it to be. Im going to begin sprouting one more batch of seeds, which will be toasted before top dressing. Then I'll probably just stick to feeding plain water or sugars until harvest.

This week in my grow room has been full of developments. First, I added additional lights because I couldn't get the relative humidity (RH) under control. I ordered a dehumidifier, but it will take a few weeks to arrive, so I had to find a temporary solution. I also emptied the reservoir and refilled it with fresh water and nutrients. I secured the net to ensure it stays in place under tension. In two days, I plan to switch the light schedule to 12/12, hoping the plants will stretch a bit during the switch to avoid having overly large buds that aren't evenly spread. Seventeen hours later, I decided to keep the lights on a 16/8 schedule for a few more days. The plants are starting to show signs of something happening, so I want to see how they develop. I will keep you updated on the progress. Then, I received a message from my supplier that the dehumidifier would arrive today. Great news—time to spice things up! On June 2nd, the dehumidifier arrived, and I managed to get my Vapor Pressure Deficit (VPD) to 1.17! This is fantastic news, and I'm very curious how this will affect water usage. The dehumidifier seems pretty powerful, with water literally dripping out of the hose, so I'm no longer worried about high humidity levels. It's a shame it doesn't have a range setting, but I couldn't expect more for the price. I'm considering ordering the Dimlux Auxbox to set a working range and separate day/night settings. Thankfully, the dehumidifier has an auto-restart function after a power loss. On June 3rd, the night is over, and while my values are now more stable, I haven't noticed any significant differences in water absorption. What I do notice is that the pots seem much drier. The difference in leaf temperature compared to the room temperature has increased slightly, now about a 2˚C difference, indicating that evaporation has increased somewhat. Despite the dehumidifier cooling the air, the room temperature has risen. This is explainable since dry air heats up faster than humid air. The CO2 heater is also running significantly longer. So, although there are no immediately visible differences, there are indeed some changes. Today is the last short night of 8 hours, and tomorrow will be the first night of 12 hours. I am contemplating doing a 10-hour night first and will decide later tonight. After closely reviewing the video footage, I noticed some divergent colors on the leaves. My pH is currently 6.4, which I had adjusted to compensate for the low pH last week—a foolish decision in coco, I know. I plan to make videos of each individual plant for my records to investigate further. The light is too intense to inspect them up close, so the videos will help me get a better look.
