Week 7 in the comedy of my garden journey, and my green squad has decided to embrace the art of being vertically challenged – they're like the plant version of a pocket-sized superhero team. "Short and sassy" seems to be their new motto. In an attempt to uplift their spirits, two of the ladies scored a new, roomier 3-gallon final home – it's like they moved from a cozy apartment to a botanical mansion, hoping a change of scenery would inspire some vertical ambition. They're probably comparing their new homes and deciding who has the fanciest leafy chandelier. However, the plot thickens as one plant emerges with a leafy fashion statement that's a bit too avant-garde – discoloration that could rival a Picasso painting. Is it a magnesium deficiency or an oxygen rebellion? The plant might as well be holding a tiny protest sign that says, "Give me answers or give me wilting!" Playing the role of a plant detective, I cranked up the fans, turning my grow tent into a botanical wind tunnel. It's like a leafy hurricane is sweeping through, and my plants are either loving the breeze or planning their escape. As a bonus, I threw in a leafy spa day – deformation and topping, because who doesn't love a good horticultural makeover? But wait, there's more! In the midst of the botanical sitcom, the humidity decided to play the villain in this leafy drama. It's like the humidity gauge is staging a rebellion of its own. So, armed with misters and perhaps a leafy motivational speech, I'm on a mission to turn my grow tent into a tropical paradise and give my plants the humidity vacation they didn't know they needed. Week 7 – where the plants are short, the homes are upgraded, the leaves are avant-garde, and the humidity is throwing a curveball. Day 77-84 (April 17th-24th) (Day 78) I honestly cant believe I’ve been vegging this long. The growth for almost 80 days of veg is laughable. I’ve compiled a little list of what has gone wrong so far. - I added too much glacial moraine which made the soil too water retentive - I’ve been foliar feeding too much kelp - I gave too many bloom nutrients for a plant in veg - EDIT: DID NOT WATER ENOUGH AT ONCE The plants have been drooping like crazy this past week and I’m going to try watering in a full gallon per plant. I first thought it was from the medium not drying out enough, soil compaction ect. and I’m sure those are definitely areas where my soil mix could improve but the bottom of the container is pretty damn dry. I could actually be under watering despite soaking the top with 500ml a day. I’m going to sit the pots on some plastic sheeting so they don’t evaporate as much from the bottom and water in a full gallon each making sure I get some runoff. I was going to wait until I get my air pump but fuck it, it’s coming tomorrow afternoon. The pots are so big that they’re not fully wetting to the bottom even with a gallon. I’m going to try to water in a gallon every 4 days while keeping the top soil moist with the sprayer. In hindsight 6 plants in 5-7 gallon pots would be the most ideal. (Day 79) Holy fuck did a full gallon watering make a difference. I should have been doing this the whole time. All 4 plants are praying and stretching upward like crazy. They just look more vigorous and happy within a day. I bet they will be even happier with that supplemental air. If things stay this smooth I should be able to flip around day 84, possibly earlier. Got my air pump in the mail today. This is kind of a shot in the dark so hopefully it works. It’s super loud and vibrates like crazy. First I’m going to try running it 24/7 and see if there is any improvement over the next few days. If it does work, I’ll try running it on my humidity controller so it’s not constantly humming and will only turn on when the humidity is high. I’m going to turn the night time temps down to 70f to prevent root problems now that I’m watering much bigger amounts less frequently and it’s getting warmer during the day. (Day 81/Day 1F) Ever since I’ve been watering in the proper amounts I have seen an absolute explosion in growth. I’ve decided to flip today, now that I’m confident my soil mix isn’t completely fucked. I might run into some N/mg problems during the stretch so I will make sure to give a final foliar feeding around the end of week 1. (Day 3F) So I’m literally seeing dwc growth rates now. Plants have grown more in the last 5 days than the last 3 weeks. If I had stayed at this pace of growth since day 1, I would have an 8 foot tall plant or I would be halfway through flower already. Oh well. Good learning experience. *grits teeth* I’m going to put up the second layer of trellis before these girls stretch out of control. Bbb#3 is seriously stretchy and will likely more than double in size in the next 2 weeks. The other 4 are all quite stout and bushy. I’m giving a light, preemptive defoliation each day and picking off some of the lower sucker branches. I will do a full strip around day 21F.

My 4 plants are still there, with the banana as a smile 🍌😁 I continue the defoliation, I wonder if I'm not doing a little too much sometimes.. We will soon see the result 🌗Switching to flowering this week, I reduced the length of the day by 1 hour each day until reaching 12 hours night time / 12 hours daylight on the 33rd day!🌞 🌺On the 33rd day I apply a layer of organic nutrients mixed with a little soil that I add to the top of each pot. I added 35 grams of BioBloom to each of my pots🌺 (Pot of 7 Liters / 2 gallons) ------------------------------------------------------------ 💧Watering I water all my pots the same day but with more or less water. Simply by lifting them; A light pot is a dry pot and will need more water, A heavy pot is a wet pot and will need less water. These cherry colas are smelling nice and looking to chunk up early but there was no real stretch for these and they have not really grown as tall as I hoped , in saying that they are as wide as the tent allows so hopefully they can still produce a decent yield . Aside from my harsh judgment on height these girls are looking very healthy and fattening up nice

7/20 Went over this morning to plants soaking wet and heavy rain. Went back around 4pm and plants actually look really good. The rain has stopped for a bit and the girls looked great. Apart from some septoria leaves I needed to defoliate on the first plant I treated. I also noticed a few others on other plants so it's spreading albeit slowly. I treated the three in the middle with their second dose of Plant Doctor at 3tsp/1gal. One gallon administered to each plant via root drench. I think I may treat the other plant showing signs with a diy Dr. Zymes using citric acid as the active ingredient. That way I Gould start treatment right away without having to rely fully on plant doctor. Plus it would kill any pests. Ive seen damage but the birds do a number on them. I dont want to spray my plants with a bunch of chemicals if I don't have too. I shouldve replaced the pallets and cleaned the cage better. I think I did a good job sanitizing as I have no wpm. Just this septoria I probably got when the lady mowing the lawn cut all tjis fucking grass and blew it in my pen, throwing bird seed and I'm sure tons of disease into my grow bags. I literally had to harvest a bunch if fucking sunflowers. It looked like my plants had been mulched. Just with small disease carrying shrubs. At some point some of this stuff has to be on purpose. You CAN'T be that stupid. A couple kushes in the back look hungry. I think I may need to up my feed. I've written to much. I'll keep this updated. I'm sure the app of plant doctor will be fine. Like I said I'm considering using citric acid as a foliar spray to help with the septoria and clean up any pests. I don't have enough pests to warrant spraying. I just don't want to put all my eggs in the plant doctor basket. Today is overcast and windy. The wind has really assisted in spreading this virus. I remove anything I see infected immediately and since these plants are reveges they have plenty of leaves. Plants are really stretching. I know I talk about the septoria a lot but realistically if someone looked through my garden they'd have a hard time spotting it. I don't want to exaggerate the problem but I don't like dealing with ANY fungus or molds.

New flowering continues to develop on this lady, she seems to be swelling up day by day. Yellowing of the fan leaves has started which usually means it's time to flush, I need to check the trichomes to see how amber they appear before I do just in case the flavour or yield could be effected.

Overall very happy with the grow. Got 24oz of very dense nugs! I also managed to get 2oz of less dense but still pretty bag-appeal, and a shit ton of trim which I made into tidy ass brownies, which have made typing this incredibly difficult😂! Both of these strains are definitely bed time strains. The Critical kush is has the usual overwhelming kush taste, however the peyote(purple nugs) have a very sweet / flowery taste and smell. Disappointed I only done 1 peyote but more than happy with the critical. Would definitely grow both these strains again!

So let me tell you, my Tropicana Cookies is doing amazing in week 2 of flowering. She's stopped the stretch and is now fully focused on fruit production. And let me tell you, even though the buds are still small, they are already packing a punch with those trichomes with i start to believe is the Fast Buds way for them all <3 <3 <3 crazy , much respect to them <3 <3 <3 . I've been using autopots for this grow and I have to say, I'm pretty smitten with them. It's such a breeze to keep her hydrated and fed without having to constantly check on her. And my Tropicana Cookies auto seems to be loving it too! I can't wait to see what kind of buds she'll produce in the next few weeks. But even if she stayed like this, I'd still be head over heels for her. There's just something about watching a plant grow and thrive that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. week 11 75 days according to the breeder this strain has 7-8 weeks of flowering. with the possible stress that the plant has suffered maybe it has slowed down its growth a little. but since I'm not impatient and I have time is not a problem. I like to let it mature on point so I let it roll for another three weeks. As for the sample I took a week before... it was on a good track. I could already feel some notes and aroma but deep down. very heavy and harsh smoke, to remember that there was no flush or cure, just dry. Now its waiting for the whole plant dry. 🤞🙏

Second week of flower, time to stretch! Im very happy with the outcome so far, it is without worry that some tops are in shadow. Enough tops to go around, have to wait until after stretch to lollipop! The lady all the way in the back, to the left, has either stunned growth or just slower than the other to go into stretch. However i will just play the waiting game, as i see no symptoms for a problem atm.
