D29. We're now officially in flower! I can see the beginnings of tiny (purple?) hedgehogs. I adjusted LST wires, tucked some leaves, and for the first time, filled the bottom reservoir since the plant should be mature enough to start drinking from it. (7 liters @ pH 6.2.) ------------------------------ D31. The LST is progressing nicely, and she is slowly getting more expansive. Even the branch from the first node, which I thought was pointless, is doing great, and it looks like it will produce a nice top eventually. I have her one liter of SST @ pH 6.8 with fulvic and humic acid mixed in. DLI bumped up to 42. ------------------------------ D35. We're at the end of the first week of flower, and she is rocking along nicely in the tent. Adjusting LST wires and tucking leaves every day. DLI bumped up to 45. ------------------------------

All done and dusted on this bad boy. Nice big bushy auto that did its job from the beginning. It was always harder work than the Do Si Dos and with what I’ve hung up to dry I don’t think it’ll have a larger harvest either. The smell is super strong and very fruity and will give an updated the final smoke and weight. 🙌🏼

Sour Jealousy Auto FastBuds 2025 Outside Grow Week 7 May 11-17 FLOWER 1 Sour Jealousy has started to flower. She is 18” now after a 6-inch spurt. She really benefitted from last week’s rain. This week’s weather has been cloudy and sunny but the temps ranged from 93 high and low of 53 at night. I watered and fed 2x with Kelp 30 ml/g and TPS1 4ml/g. I included some garden pics and some cool boats. I live in a coastal area with 6 bridges. Since maritime law still governs commerce, the boats have the right of way to vehicles. How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. This is true of seed starts or clones made from seed starts. The opposite is not always true; indoor clones often give an outdoor grower headaches because they don't always make the transition smoothly. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Wow, what an amazing strain to grow and harvest! She grew so well and never caught PM from her roommates the entire grow! Her buds were fucking thick and fat, as well as tall. Smells wonderful and HIGHLY RECOMMEND growing this strain...you will be greatly rewarded! She grows easy, trains easy for LST/HST, and produces dense thick buds. 7/20 Went over this morning to plants soaking wet and heavy rain. Went back around 4pm and plants actually look really good. The rain has stopped for a bit and the girls looked great. Apart from some septoria leaves I needed to defoliate on the first plant I treated. I also noticed a few others on other plants so it's spreading albeit slowly. I treated the three in the middle with their second dose of Plant Doctor at 3tsp/1gal. One gallon administered to each plant via root drench. I think I may treat the other plant showing signs with a diy Dr. Zymes using citric acid as the active ingredient. That way I Gould start treatment right away without having to rely fully on plant doctor. Plus it would kill any pests. Ive seen damage but the birds do a number on them. I dont want to spray my plants with a bunch of chemicals if I don't have too. I shouldve replaced the pallets and cleaned the cage better. I think I did a good job sanitizing as I have no wpm. Just this septoria I probably got when the lady mowing the lawn cut all tjis fucking grass and blew it in my pen, throwing bird seed and I'm sure tons of disease into my grow bags. I literally had to harvest a bunch if fucking sunflowers. It looked like my plants had been mulched. Just with small disease carrying shrubs. At some point some of this stuff has to be on purpose. You CAN'T be that stupid. A couple kushes in the back look hungry. I think I may need to up my feed. I've written to much. I'll keep this updated. I'm sure the app of plant doctor will be fine. Like I said I'm considering using citric acid as a foliar spray to help with the septoria and clean up any pests. I don't have enough pests to warrant spraying. I just don't want to put all my eggs in the plant doctor basket. Today is overcast and windy. The wind has really assisted in spreading this virus. I remove anything I see infected immediately and since these plants are reveges they have plenty of leaves. Plants are really stretching. I know I talk about the septoria a lot but realistically if someone looked through my garden they'd have a hard time spotting it. I don't want to exaggerate the problem but I don't like dealing with ANY fungus or molds.

Some suggestions pointed to a nitrogen deficiency, but I don’t think that’s the case. I applied a good watering with Bactomatik, which contains 2% nitrogen and nitrogen-fixing bacteria. This was already a planned watering, and while the plant started stretching a bit, I haven’t noticed any improvements in leaf coloration yet. I’ll keep monitoring closely to see how it recovers. But If anyone has a suggestion pointing in a different direction, I'm here to listen! 👂 Over the next two days, I’ll start with LST, so that within 1-2 weeks, I can set up the SCROG net.

I slacked on the last few weeks because she wasn’t looking the greatest but I’m getting her back to being healthy, so far there’s a lot of lovely looking budsites that smell gassy as hell, I’m excited to see how she turns out :)

Update : week 4 for the Amnesia haze has been interesting. Sadly her 5th node snapped clean off during her lst so she is now an official quadline. She has settled into the pot so well now and has done a nice bit of growing the past few days. I am happy with her look and health. She should be a good finish too. The Sweet Afgani Delicious is happier now she is in the NFT tank along with the Red hot cookie. They look so lost compared to the Amnesia in her big pot and a few weeks older. They have perked up and started to show more chlorophyll over the past few days too. I think a week will give me a chance at some lst with the smaller girls. Be safe Growmies

1/22 Week 4! Folded in some CalMag temporarily for a slight def showing up in Jool, foliar of same on all. Recovering nicely from topping will decide on 2cd later Jool recovered her normal color in just a few hours after feedings. Can pull the Cal-Mag for a while. Thought of increasing nuets a tad to 10ml but no need to rush just may have to hit them with Cal-Mag once in a while. Time to hit the roots again 10ml/gal Kangaroots one feed only 1/25 Leaving in a small amount - 2ml/gal - of Cal-Mag with CocoTek more for peace of mind than anything else Keeping them small till I have a place to flower then... then we pour it on. 1/27 Continuing to walk the line between keeping them healthy and keeping the size down - working ok so far Growing nicely although some concern found on Zhaan, feeding pattern on just the two tops shown, no where else. Nothing seen , sticky trap put up will check often for further. Not grabbing the Soap just yet see if anything else pokes up 1/28 Sticky trap clean so no flying critters Think hes right about strange leaves but I want to add I may have done some of this during topping. Just from what I see Bit of a conundrum the plants are near-ish to the size we wanted to flower them at BUT there is no room at the Inn, (sativas...) so we have one path to getting this done. Keeping them as small as we can without risking defs for another week then beginning the flowering in the veg tent Moya while the sativa finishes in 2 weeks. Thats one week of flower in the small tent at best, not sure about that. I swear two tents and one is a 4x4 and still space problems... good to have that problem too 😃 That's the plan but we know there is about a ton of crap that will go wrong like that sativa taking longer. Re-eval in a week Feeding remains as before 1/29 Pic and vid to end week no further issues and the tent is now full. Good problem to have but its convinced us that flowering in Moya is problematic Raised lights to 24" to see if they will go up instead of out for a while. Defol the bottom end of the plants just a bit in attempt to encourage some vertical growth with that as well.
