~ WEDDING CHEESECAKE FAST FLOWER by FastBuds ~
Well fam, here we go again with another epic strain from FastBuds Fast Flowering stable. After having such tremendous success growing their Gorilla Cookies Fast Flower outdoors last year, I've decided to run another of their fast flowering strains outdoors this year... Wedding Cheesecake Fast Flower!
The best description of this awesome cultivar comes directly from my friends at FastBuds which is as follows:
"A delight for the mind and body: Wedding Cheesecake FF (Fast-Flowering) is a delicious strain that offers XXL yields in a 7-8 weeks flowering cycle. This terpene powerhouse produces loads and loads of mouth-watering vanilla-creamy-cookie-scented terps with hints of citrus and cinnamon. In addition to its delicious aromas, this variety grows very well in both indoor and outdoor setups, yielding up to 650 g/m2 without extra maintenance, making it the ideal strain for beginners as it allows you to maximize yields while minimizing work. This super-fast feminized photoperiod version offers upbeat and energetic yet deeply relaxing effects that are perfect for consumers looking for a heavily focused, motivating, and creative high. The Setup:
This is going to be an outdoor grow, but I have started the Wedding Cheesecake FF indoors as our weather is still too cold to put her outside (nighttime temp's dipping regularly into the 30's℉).
The plan is simple... let her grow inside under a 19/5 light schedule until the nighttime temperatures stay above the mid 40's℉, at which point she'll be moved outside and transplanted into the soil which I have already setup and inoculated with beneficial microbes, and then let the fun begin!🤪💚

Weekly Updates:
8/29- Week 4 of flower's here and the FastBuds Wedding Cheesecake Fast Flower is really starting to turn it up a notch! She's forming some beautiful colas that hopefully will retain their current structure which will really help to ward off chances of mold forming as our weather has cooled off considerably
8/31- I have switched my watering schedule to mornings now with the Wedding Cheesecake FF in full flower, I want to do whatever I can to keep the nighttime moisture levels as low as possible in order to help prevent mold from forming on the flowers.
9/2- Well, today is 28 days in flower for the FastBuds Wedding Cheesecake FF and I couldn't be happier with how she's coming along! I'm continuing to water in the mornings on days that we do not get any substantial rain with well water via the garden hose.
9/4- Well fam, there's a month of flowering done for the Wedding Cheesecake FF and she is showing zero signs of slowing down any time soon! I'm praying that our weather stays cool and dry for as long as possible for this gorgeous lady! Until next week... Peace!

Germination when great we are now into week one of the grow stage . I started feeding it 320ppm of the expert nutrients line of grow. She seems to be nice and healthy with the beautiful green colour I will be updating every week so tune in and thank you for looking at my diary and always remember it's 420 somewhere 🌱👍

2nd week of stretch in the books and the males showed up on time. We pared the grow down by 4/5 plants. I think I’ve got at least one more male to cull from the lot. Still having serious struggles with getting the females to transition in earnest and cut back all the fan leaves pretty severely to try and encourage some stress induced fruiting.
Still very unhappy with the strain to date and now they’re just taking up space. No issues, nor were any expected in this system and I’ll be happy to be done with these. Now it’s just waiting for the finish.

12 days to full transplantable roots. Right on schedule as expected. Moved 6 of the 12 clones (1 per plant) into a new 45L Rez that I cobbled together in an evening. Just small enough to fit into the cabinet. Hopefully the roots don’t choke each other out for territory while we work to reveg, re-flower and ultimately seed em all for the new F3 line. We’ll pick the best buds from the lot for the next testing run once we see what the pheno variation looks like from the main run in the tent. It’s a process and annoyance not to be yielding bud off a grow cycle but it is what it is if you want your own signature stuff. Alls good for now. Let’s just hope that the 6 coats of paint I threw on the lid is enough to keep out the grow light penetration🤞. Shoulda used black, whatever.

Going into flowering is always a special moment and we prepare to do it in the best way to make the plant understand that it is time to become a woman and speed up the start of the formation of buds.
We start with 24 hours of darkness this to give a strong break and sign of change to the plant that understands the change of time and prepares to go into flowering.
Our Jet Fuel was worked with a topping x16 buds that worked really well, we have some branches growing a little sparsely, not perfectly aligned but I bet it will be very beautiful everything seems in great shape now.
Another thing that gives the plant the signal of the start of flowering are the flowering stimulators we friends of Plagron use Power Buds.
The start of the flowering program includes the same additives as the vegetative phase Power Roots, Sugar Royal, Pure Zym and adds the flowering stimulant Power Buds. Now the basic fertilizer is Alga Bloom specific for flowering. The shape is very very beautiful as the structure of this plant, I definitely love plants with short internodal distance. Elegant, to see, to photograph, to grow.
Green Sensation will arrive as the hero of the end of flowering and at the same time it will be time to remove Power Roots and a week later the Pure Zym enzymes. It is recommended from the 4th week, if the plants flower fast I start at the 3rd depending on the size of the bud.

Week 11 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants
Hello, Grow Diaries fam! 🌱✨ This week’s update is all about setting up for the big transition—we’re finally flipping these beauties into flower! But before we do, I took some important steps to ensure a smooth transition.
Defoliation & Why It Matters Before Flower
Before the flip, I gave them a thorough defoliation, clearing out lower and overcrowded leaves. Why? Because:
More Light Penetration – Helps lower bud sites develop properly.
Better Airflow – Reduces humidity buildup and risk of mold.
Focused Energy – Encourages the plant to put energy into strong bud production instead of unnecessary foliage.
Of course, balance is key—I trimmed enough to open things up but left plenty for healthy growth.
Final Pre-Flip Routine
• Temps & RH: Holding steady at 22°C with 66% RH, keeping conditions ideal before flower.
• 💧 Nutrients: Running the Aptus Holland Clean Feeding Approach with:
• Regulator for plant resilience.
• RO Water Conditioner to balance pH and improve uptake.
• System Clean, even though I’m not using a hydro system, to keep the root zone optimal.
• All-in-One Liquid, which is now the primary nutrient source.
• 🔄 Watering: Still bottom-watering to keep gnats away and encourage strong root growth.
36-48 Hours of Darkness Before the Flip
Before switching the room to 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness, I’ll be giving them a 36-48 hour dark period. This technique helps signal the plants that it’s time to transition, leading to a faster and stronger flower initiation.

Hi everybody week 1 into vegetation stage started feeding expert nutrients the whole line for the grow stage I use 0.3 ml to 1L of everything witch gives me a nice 320 PPM I have found perfect for their first feed. Can't wait how to see she goes and thank you for looking at the diary there will be updates every week and always remember it's 420 somewhere 👍🌱
