Week 4: Light defoliation

~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_~_ 8/28/21 😺 We decided to flower these a little earlier than we originally intended to make room for some new strains...I will never mainline a plant this wide again indoors lol, it seemed cool at the time but as you can see it just takes up more space 😑 👎🏻 ...we gave them their first shot of bloom nutrients yesterday (we typically do this 1 week before flower but things came up and we learned we'll need the tent available)...the calcium def spots seemed to have cleared up naturally on the mainline, the other plants are fairly uniform in color (not too dark anymore), and lower growth has been removed...all systems go for flower! 💪😺, I'm hoping for a significant flowering stretch, the new growth after the last mainline topping is approx. 6inches, if this stretches to 12-14inches it should build 8 really good sized colas per side.. thanks for reading! such a wonderful thing to see when you know your slowly approaching harvest and the flowers are starting to glisten😍! aromas are so Grande, filling my grow space with deep fire gasssy tones with overtones of sweet citrus, pineapple and mint😋! she's a beauty showing off her colours and fading her remaining leaves as she finalises her flowers! the journey with her has been incredible so far! she's far from boring! and very easy to grow! i just hope she finishes in time for the contest! fingers crossed! 👌

I will begin to look trichomes next week so I know when to remove all nutrients and give it a final flush i like a good % of amber trichomes 👍💨💨

DAY 28 flowering: Hi all Hope we are all fine and dandy in the grow diaries world this week. It has been a steady week this week with the ladies now focusing purely on bud site development . The only lady not really thriving is the smaller Mexican airline #1. It does seem she will be all plant and very little yield at this point but we will see it through. She isn't poor by any means but I do think she will have a inferiority complex within these beauties. Heehee Thankfully the other five ladies are powering on and producing some potential big bud sites. The stars of the grow are the Strawberry pie girls. These plants are huge and very, very productive . The lowers are developing some nice bud sites that in themselves look like beasts developing. They have really dense looking flowers that will no doubt become thick and possibly need some support on the side growth but seeing the stem strengths , they may be ahead of that issue themselves already. A perfect strain for an outside run for sure and with no training beside the tip spreading , they have easily now reached approx 4ft tall. The buds start really low on each limb with some node spacing initially large but the growing tips and main stem have a more stacked up bud appearance forming. I think they could possibly top my personal best for the autos at this rate. Both have about the same structure and bud building so I would hazard the same phenotype too. This is the second time I have grown this strain and the last one was very similar too. Very stable and should give some top notch nugs out. Six Shooter #1 is only slightly smaller than the Strawberry pie and has just as many productive side branches that want to show off too. Her sibling #2 was grown a lot flatter after the tip spreading and seems lost down low in the canopy now. She has a lot of buds tucked away but could easily be overgrown by the mexican#2 and Strawberry Pie #2 , if I am not pro active with her progress. As mentioned earlier, the Mexican airlines are both healthy and happy but the #2 is far more productive than the #1 . I do expect that the #1 will harvest a little after the others and that she may come through in the end. Overall these strains are genetic perfection this run . They have done their own thing with only the tip spreading being my intervention initially , and they have produced 6 perfect looking plants that are clearly different strains . From past experiences with these 3 strains , "The best is yet to come " with the development of their unique looking buds. Here comes some down and dirty bud porn only viewable to the faithful.!!! Final week 10 and a half harvest and the nugs are fully plumped up and very crystally the decent bit of yellowing as well I think the double dream is definitely going to yield a decent bit and we're going to drive for five days after our flush for six days. Attached to some of the root pictures from the harvest which just shows the massive amount of a root ball that you can see for the left side on double dream.

Filling in nicely has a great smell starting to frost up. My haze beast smells very sweet like fruit loops cereal. Light took a crap almost 10 days ago only 9 months old. Its a medic grow smart 8. After dealing with getting it replaced in the middle of a grow I am done with them. They make a great light, but the service is terrible. You are forced to work with someone in China who will respond to you at 2am. I had to call, text, email, FB msg and msg through IG to get a response and someone to replace my light. It should be here Tuesday. I bought a Mammoth mint today and am going to run that from now on. 11/20 Grape God has a smell of grape and rubber is the best way I can describe it. The haze beast smells Identical to fruit loops almost caught up to the GG in height.

Flowering has begun 😁😁 8 days have passed since the flip and bud sites are starting to form. The week went fairly smooth with the exception of a smart plug failure 😡😡 not sure what the issue was as its working fine again and wifi was on and working fine but oh well, the plants got 6 extra hours of light one day but i gave 6 less the next and got the light sched back to normal asap. The girls look very healthy and I am extremely excited to start seeing some buds form and that famous pineapple smell. The RO system is doing its job getting the city water down from 198ish ppm to only 9. This solved the 2 issues and I am very happy I dont have to deal with the white dust EVERY WHERE, including outside the tent. I highly recommend this system. I tucked right up until yesterday which I thought I was done with the tucking but I felt they needed a little more. The center is pretty much maxed and growing to much to spread out the edges any more really. should have spaced out a little more from the center. The net is pretty close to full and some branches are on the outside. pleased overall but would like to improve on round 2 of course. Thanks for following along fam.
