July 20: smoke arrived this morning to go with our heat wave. Awesome. Starting force flowering this evening. Will put plant in dark garage for 12 h darkness for a couple of weeks to initiate flowering. Already started flowering, but I really want to force it along to improve bud quality by having the buds ripen under stronger sun. In dark garage by 9 pm followed by 730 nm far red light and then out at 7 am. The far red light is a bloom booster because it initiates dark mode 2 h faster and is like getting a 26 h day. So, 10 h in garage plus 2 h from far red light is 12 h darkness and 14 h of daylight. Rock on. July 21: obvious stretch from overnight in the hot garage. Recorded as 14 h daylight with overnight temp listed as 24 C but it was easily 30 C when going into garage. Hot and smoky. Anyway, lots of misting and watering and seems to be doing great. Addded bloom nutes in top dressing at end of last week. July 22: still too hot but she’s still managing to grow. Now up to 40”. July 25: now 44” so four inches in three days. July 26: notably large stretch overnight probably grew another inch. This Blueberry Pie was always neck and neck with my other photoperiod, but she is pulling ahead in height now that flowering is starting. So far so good. Windy today and the plant was catching too much. Defoliated fan leaves in the middle so it’s not so much of a sail. Don’t really want o be removing fan leaves, but was best option. In ground or a bigger bag are not options so gotta make it work. Worth it to be able to move around in pursuit of direct sun. #seedsman420growoff #seedsmanseeds

Yesterday I discovered that, in order to change my timer, I didn't put the clock back onto it. Now they had 3 hours more light on the third day of flowering. Exactly the kind of oopsies this grow really doesn't need. But it happened and all back on a normal schedule, but I hope the OHS en GG4 aren't affected by it too much... One accidental re-vegging is more than enough for a year. Also, these sensitive strains can hermie on me for lesser reasons so from now on I'll be checking for male signs daily. The XTraKush is performing as advertised, with enormous stretch, these plants can go 10 ft up according to the breeder. So I'm tying them down and managing this to fill out the space. With all the stuff going on, this 'underdog' strain might even prove most resilient, when all is said and done. They seem to respond really well to the SP-3000 light and If you are in the market for a new light, consider this option from Mars Hydro. She's grown perfectly with mainlining and lst methods. Very big bush this pheno #1 has been thw most productive and still had 2 branches that broke off because of tje weight so pretty happy with this one, this plant is not only quantity but quality too, very sweet and tropical fragrance coming from this buds

During the third week of vegetation I started practicing Mainling's technique. To do this, I patched the plant at the third node and cut all the underlying shoots. ✂️🌱 I tied the two main branches with string to keep them down. The plant appears to be responding well and shows no signs of excessive stress. ✔️

Well this little tester has out grown her sisters by quite alot in its development , she is much larger and bigger leaves than the others and looks like she is really reaching for the stars and has had nothing more than fresh water until this week

Most of them are displaying male characteristics unfortunately. Got the two females and the three that haven't developed sex organs mainling in my greenhouse as of may 26th. Haven't put a grow light on them yet but I should be able to set that up this week

This girl is still going great! She takes whatever you swing at her. The Ayahuasca Purple where not so forgiving... lol overall this girl is on track to finish here in the week or 2 so we are dialling back the nutrients now( more for the Ayahuasca Purple though) and she is already fading out same as the purple. We will probably start looking at cutting her end of next week I would think. Got some more girls ready to take over the rent in the tent so sooner is better then later...lol Cheers 💨
