Hello fellow growers! This is my first entry on growdiaries. I've been growing for about two and a half years, and got most of my knowledge following other growers from this site. I've decided to start sharing my own grows, so I can learn from experienced growers even more, and help other growers too if I can. This is around my 7th grow now. I didn't document any of the veg for this plant, and only started documenting since Week 4, but going forward I will be trying to document the whole cycle of the plant. I'm running x2 ETHOS Fanta Sea RBX & x2 ETHOS Citradellic Sunset. I vegged them for around two months in 1 liter pots, than transplanted them to the larger 15 liter pots and into my flowering tent for about a month. I usually flip them after a week or so from transplanting, but this time I was abroad and I didn't want to flip them and not tend to them during the first weeks of flowering, when the huge growth spurt happens, so I decided to flip them after I come back. The result ended up being with all plants growing and stretching like crazy during my time away, before even flipping. Once I flipped, I threw in a scrog net and bended as much as possible. A week later ended up putting up another scrog net. I was afraid that the plants would stretch right under the lights, but now during week 4, any growing seems to have stopped and the plants energy is being channeled into the buds. During the first 3 Weeks of flowering, I had a huge issue with humidity which stayed around 70%. Problems stemmed from being in a basement, bushy plants, bad ventilation & perspiration from AC + Heat from light fixture. I learned much more about humidity from this grow. It's much more stable now after adding another dehumidifiert, fixing the ventilation and defoliating heavily. See you next week for the next entry!

Update - 4th July 2021 Just still flushing away. The colours that are coming out are crazy. I have edited some pics but not videos and the videos dont really pick up the colour. Its strange that it started completely green and then went darker and darker until it reached purple buds covered in trichomes. I am planning on harvesting both this plant and the purple punch today or tomorrow depending on when i can be bothered lol Tbh, its not hard because i dry trim so it's just a case of plucking off the fan leaves and hanging it in different branches.

Week 1 of the latest cycle and starting out with some new hardware and an expanded grow print👍. We’re running 4 autos via a recirculating Dutch bucket system. First time on a dutchy so it’s gonna be interesting to see how it stacks up against DWC. I’ll give a full rundown on the system I’ve cobbled together on the next update. So far - all seedlings have germ’d without issue using the standard p-towel method. Why more people don’t use this method on GD is beyond me. It’s so reliable that some breeders even warranty your seeds if you use this method and more than 1 seed fails to crack. We’ve got little sprouts coming up now and it’s all just waiting for those first couple fan leaves to come out and those roots to run to the bottom of each bucket. They’ve been placed in root riot cubes (essentially a version of rapid rooters) like most of our runs and I’d recommend their use with all autos. Time and stress on young autos is key so they need the absolute best start you can give them👌. End of week update - looks like we got 4 quality little seedlings here👍. Alls good other than battling a ph issue for most of the week. Keeps spiking overnight for no real reason - hopefully it’ll even out and isn’t the early sign of a major problem🤞. Background The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru.

seeds: Montel Iced Tea, Body Count, Bubbles Blueberry F4, Ricky’s Hash Plant, Black Tangi Tea → standouts / "otherworldly" These are clearly your current stars — better structure, resin, and overall quality than most of the others you've tried. Auto Flowers: Humboldt Seed Company — best autos you've grown. Extremely resinous, especially the OG Triploid. Top tier for autos. Fast Buds — very close second. Super fast, nice flavors, reliable. You like them a lot but note they're in a different class (not fair to directly compare to Humboldt). Why RQS Strains Underperformed The 7/10 rating and "needed a lot of power to switch to flower" comment is classic for some RQS genetics, especially certain autos or hybrids. Possible reasons: Genetics: Some RQS lines are finicky about light schedules or have slower/more reluctant flowering responses. Mike Tyson 2.0 and Corkscrew apparently needed the 12/12 flip to finally push. Light/Environment: With five tents running, light penetration, spectrum, or intensity might not have been ideal for these particular strains. Autos can be sensitive to stress during the transition. Nutrient response: They may have needed more phosphorus/potassium or different ratios to bulk up properly. The fact that you had to force Corkscrew into 12/12 at week 20 and it's now only "OK" suggests it was a slower or lower-yielding pheno for your conditions. Strong Performers Brothers Grimm → These sound like the real winners in your tent right now. Brothers Grimm has a reputation for unique, high-quality landrace-influenced genetics with excellent resin and flavor profiles. "Otherworldly better" is high praise — they clearly thrive in your setup. Humboldt Seed Company autos → Excellent choice for resin production. OG Triploid is a standout for trichome density. Fast Buds → Reliable, fast, flavorful — a safe, consistent auto line. Recommendations Going Forward Double down on what works: Keep running more Brothers Grimm (especially the ones you loved). Stick with Humboldt for autos when you want maximum resin. Fast Buds for speed and flavor. 3/30 4am Pink Kush CBD is SLOW.... she never really recovered from early problems, I LOVE this strain, smoke and smell are 10/10. I blew it up early from problems that are NOT MY FAULT. so there. 4/1 12pm We're gonna need a bigger TENT!!!💐🌼Humboldt Seed company email today...Im doing this!!! https://californiahempseeds.com/garden-seeds/

Just gonna stick to water only from here on out assuming there’s only a few weeks left , seen some other diaries end week 9 or 10 .. Will continue to post a picture for the group each day and like a close look at each one individually at the end of the week The smallest one is now 14 inches tall lol I have no idea... update 17 inches now Day 53 trimmed up the interior of front left because it was just a tangled mess of stacked leaves but got some space and light now Day 54 made a ghetto dry box so I could dry a couple if they need to be cut earlier than others

Ich habe 3 zusätzliche Lüfter angeschlossen um zu verhindern dass die dichten Buds der PurplePunch anfangen zu schimmeln.
