Fo' Twenny Back with another update on our "Grandaddy Purple" from Blimburn Seeds! 8/24: I did some selective defoliation to help increase light penetration. Next watering will be a flush with 2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm's flush agent SledgeHammer. A flush is recommended after week 3 in the Fox Farm Feeding chart. I figure the recommended flush will do some good considering I have a lot of coco in the mix and there are small amounts of salt fertilizer in my schedule. She is really starting to do some stretching and she has an abundance of growing shoots. She has a few leaves that look textured or "crinkled". I tried doing some searches and not sure if this is due to a virus or some other factor. She is center in the tent and the only plant being grown in a fabric pot. She has also been vegging longer than any of the other plants in the garden. She was a survivor from previous run when I almost killed all my plants (did kill one) trying to kill so spider mites. This is the only plant presenting these abnormalities. I gave a lot of detail about the abnormal leaves because I am hoping someone may be able to help me troubleshoot. 8/28: Flushed the medium with tap H2O run through 2 KDF filters with 2 tsp/gal of Fox Farm Sledgehammer flushing agent and pH adjusted to 6.2. I started by giving 5 gallons. After checking the PPM of the runoff I ended up adding 5 more gallons mixed to same specifications. 10 gallons total was shared by 3 large flowering photoperiod cultivars and 1 smaller autoflower. She probably ended up with about 3 gallons give or take. I didn't measure how much each plant received. I just kept flushing each and checking runoff until it was under 1600 ppm. Das Blümchen gibt Vollgas! Die Blütenstände werden immer dicker und duften schon extrem betörend fruchtig. Der Duft sorgt mal wieder für Uneinigkeit. Melonendüfte oder doch Rhabarber? 🤣 Insgesamt sorgt die Pflanze bisher für Begeisterung. Die Buds sind für diese Phase schon extrem weit entwickelt obwohl gerade mal die Hälfte der angegebenen Blütezeit verstrichen ist. Wo das noch hinführt bleibt abzuwarten. Entweder sehen wir nach dem angegebenen 56 bis 63 Tagen keine Blätter mehr unter den Trichomen

Trichomes are ripening and she is definitely flushed out. Been using only water for two weeks now with some Flawless Finish once a week. Lowered light intensity from 60% to 50% and stopped supplementing UV maybe a week ago. She has gotten a very deep purple color and pistils have receded nicely turning a bright orange. Scent in the house has settled down but the scent on her when rubbed is still very pungent with the same smell as described before! Can’t wait to harvest this one coming next week!! 🤪

So here we go on another journey through growth. It's the end of the first week after germination and things are moving along how I would expect for fresh seeds... although a few of these may have some mutations going on. ***** Week 6 May 16 to 22, 2020 - Days 36 to 42 from germination ***** Calling this a flower week but it certainly is more of transition week. Been battling a busy life along with pH issues this grow. Starting to get both under control😃 These girls were transplanted into 3 gal plastic pots after battling pH issues and unable to bring down below 7.1 until cut out of fabric pots.........piss off!!! Cheap fabric pots from Amazon are a thing of the past!!!! 😡😡😡 Ordering Radical bags👍 During transplant GSC2 took it hard. She got twisted coming out of the old pot and it was a bit of a disaster😢..........GSC went very well and her root mass stayed together.😃 GSC2 is a freak and I am learning more from her. Growing out almost sideways from the pot. Keeping an eye on the main stem to ensure she doesn’t start to rot at the soil level........may trim off a couple of more branches. Her root mass won’t be very big so think I will take more branches and let her focus on building the density of a few bud sites rather than spreading a little to several sites. LST introduced this week as well. Started the introduction of Rezin and Terpinator now. Little more detail.......... May 16/20 - Day 36 - 2L each girl of Massive @ 3ml, VeloKelp, Rezin, @ 2ml, Sensyzime, Liquid Wt, Dual Fuel @ 1ml = 1000ppm and 4.5pH - stop lower the pH as much next feeds. 5.5 idea now and see how they react. I really want 6.2 going in!!!!😞 - GSC2 is concern as she took the transplant poorly with her whole root mass being flipped over and on top of herself. May 17/20 - Day 37 - Mixed 3L water with Massive @ 2.5ml, Piranha, Voodoo, Dual Fuel @ 1.5ml, Rezin, Liquid Wt, CalMag @ 1ml = 1050ppm and 5.5pH - GSC given 2L and GSC2 only 1L. - giving them more microbes and beneficials next couple of feeds with more Piranha and Voodoo again. - stripped more leaves today. GSC2 took more lower stuff as well.,,.....so bushy on the bottom. May 18/20 - Day 38 - mixed 3.5L water with Massive @ 3ml, Piranha, Voodoo, Dual Fuel, Rezin, Liquid Wt, Vitathrive @ 1.5ml = 850ppm and 5.7pH - checked some runoff numbers today...... - GSC runoff was 400ppm and 5.8pH. - GSC2 runoff was 550ppm and 6.2pH - PH is back in line!!!!!!🙌🙌 - GSC is coming along but her branches are not as thick as I would like. Side branches are getting longer. - GSC2 is a mess in general😀 She is shooting out fan leaves and they leaves are getting bigger but she is not getting any bigger?? - LST day today and GSC had some branches pulled down. Leaving GSC2 for now., May 19/20 - Day 39 - dry out day - just left them alone today😃 May 20/20 - Day 40 - 2L each girl of water with Rhino skin, CalMag, Sensyzime @ 1.5ml, Dual Fuel @ 1ml = 650ppm and 6.1pH - there was some runoff from GSC2 only. - girls look happy overall today. May 21/20 - Day 41 - 3L water mixed with Rezin and Terpinator @ 1.5ml = 160ppm and 5.7pH - was going to be a plain water feed but changed last minute and its time for Terpinator. - the girls are not overly happy today.....not sure why - all girls seem to be responding well to the LST over last couple of days. May 22/20 - Day 42 - dry out day - Both girls still trying to set bud sites but no success yet.

Still battling humidity although I think I have finally came up with a solution that allows my co2 too flourish as well. I connected my outlet carbon fan to my humidity control and changed my settings to the green ban of my vpd chart. I’ll keep you guys in the loop on that.

This is NOT a plant that I would recommend for a beginner she can demand much more attention without reciprocation, which was frustrating for my FIRST EVER grow (woohoo!). She is one that I have had a little bit of trouble growing and others on this site Ive researched have had trouble growing. She is a little more sensitive to nitrogen and other nutrients yet gulps cal-mag.

A sweeter more candy tone overall compared to other earthy purples like the LSD-25 beside it. Great colour and cluster of bud sites on the main cola all fighting for light/chunk space so should end up with a nice amount of bag appeal/photo subjects nearing the end. Big thick white pistils with some starting to orange as it enters the 6th week of flower. Can't wait to see how the main nug looks. Gave all the plants mostly water feeds this week in order to avoid salt build up. Some staining on the bottom of the fabric pots from the bottom feeds so just making sure the soil is fine for the final major nute feeds before flushing in a week or so. Made some caps with homemade thc olive oil from a friend that sent me some "Intergalactic Cable" viewing materials as well 😎 Have to use them fast but been stable for a week and not just starting to come through the gel caps, will have to get something harder next time still a lot left in the bottle. It's closest to the window and i keep my tent open so when the light is off it's getting a solid 16-18 Celcius helping out the genetic purple pop a bit more in the leaves. Other than that, the new @MarsHydroLED TSL 2000 and @ViparSpectraLED PS1500 for veg definitely made a huge difference and the buds on the Dark Devil. We've reached the end of the penultimate week. This girl's buds are also very dense, resinous, and fragrant. Based on the trichome analysis, she's at a great point. 😎 In the 15 days before harvest, I start watering only with RO water and a pH of 6.2. At the beginning of the last week, and about 3 days before harvest, I'll flush with RO + Cleanse 10mL.

High growers! Last week was not easy, plants got too much nutrients, especialy nitrogen. I found some leaf tips curled down or burned, and some of the leaves were “green too much”. So week 4 was just pure water, with no nutriens. Some kind of flush. Im not sure, if I feed them next time, when watering comes. To me, they look pretty fine, much better than 3-4 days ago. I think I will skip feeding for next watering, depends how they grow next 2 days, till watering comes. The ones on the left side, Critical Jack on left bottom and 2x auto jack just above it, started producing buds already. Californian Snow, on the right bottom, and 2x Somango, above the Californian Snow, are taking a bit more time, but little buds are there already too. Will see the progress next week. For this week ill be watering pH corrected water till the middle of the week, then they will get first feeding. Going to use nutes every other watering.
