As mentioned before, I was traveling and let the plants do their own thing. This turned out to be the perfect test for a living soil grow. The only manual intervention was a friend adjusting the grow lights, something that can easily be automated in the future as well. The plants look absolutely fantastic. In the pictures and videos provided, they’ve already been trimmed a bit. My mistake for not documenting the true “sea of green” when I first opened the tent after three weeks. The biggest leaves were larger than my hand, it was ridiculous. I’ve honestly never seen anything like that in an indoor grow before. I’m back now and will continue with weekly updates. The next step is installing the SCROG net and switching the light schedule to 12/12. They’re more than ready to go into flower. Aside from using a bit of root juice at the very beginning, I haven’t added any fertilizer at all and the results speak for themselves. I can highly recommend everyone to try Brotanics living soil especially for beginners, lazy people or as add in for professional organic grower

Roughly at about 4.5 week I have turned the lights to 12/12 most of the flowers have shown sex with roughly about 60% being females, not a bad % of females, could have been a lot worse. The ICC’s are a bit stretchy & the cookies are quite squat and the bubblegum & black nitro’s are average size for the age.

June 3: growing fast now. Still almost 3 weeks until the solstice so we’re in good shape timing wise. June 5: “we got ‘er goin’ now.” Nice fast growth happening. June 6: now past fifth node and will top first thing tomorrow morning. June 7: topped for manifolding (or mainlining), and watered with a simple compost tea (mature compost, water, molasses, vinegar for pH) left to steep overnight. I used a macro lens from a fish eye kit you can buy for any phone to make that macro video, i highly recommend them it’s so easy to see when i can harvest , these are also very cheap but you do need a steady hand haha. I smoked some smaller buds about a week after harvest & it already tastes amazing almost like a reaalllyy sweet banana haha & the burn is good also i was suprised it was smokeable so fast. Fat banana is one of my favourite strains from now on! I also had 1 Sour Diesel in the tent but i’m still curing that one

Week 8 Day 5 Hello GD Fam 🖐️🏻 Plants are looking SWELL They have packed on a lot of weight and some pistils are turning but there is still a lot of new white pistils. Trichs are still pretty clear too. Was going to use Dragon Force in week 9 and flush with plain water for week 10 but now I'm wondering whether to push an extra week through them, what do you think GD community? How do you all predict when to prepare for flush? I find it difficult, it's easy enough to spot a plant that's ready based on trichs and pistils etc but how do you predict it 2 weeks early to know when to start using your final additives followed by just water in the final week? I know dragon force and similar products push the plant to do so but if I can get more weeks out of a plant then I shouldn't I do so for a benefit to yield? She started popping pistils. She just got into preflowering let's see how she does. Day 40 flushed her with ph balanced water to remove the salt build up Day 42: Had an accident today tho she recovering and she's totally droopy. Day 44: Thank God She has started stretching again

Growth has been good even with serious power / lighting issues. But with effort the plants had very little down time. The heads are starting to look thicker and continue to stack and grow. Some of the plants are more frosty then others but that is pheno variation more than anything. Really looking like we may have a substantial yield in the next 5-6 weeks. The plants are being watered heavily with 2-3 day long dry periods and it seems to make the growth after a feeding just insane.

Leaves are fading, buds looking fat. Just plain water and occasional ice. I will never be a doctor, haha. Checking for tric color is a HASSLE. On the positive side I found some areas with lots of amber trics and others with only a few. The last week of Flower is official over I put the plants in darkness then time for chop. I have decided that after the chop I will hang the whole plant up to dry. Kinda funny, my second grow will harvest before my first. Thanks for looking. Cheers!

Yep, I have been so lazy keeping my diary up to date, life gets in the way sometimes🙄 Im on week 19 or there abouts. So a few things, As of about a week ago, I thought I was close to harvest, I had advice to start harvest when around 60% of the pistils had turned color and curled along with the trichomes becomming cloudy. I cant really get a good look at the trichomes no matter what I try but a couple did appear amber which I was told you can probably get away with a few amber spots, but it is a good indication that its probably a good time to harvest? With that, I thought it be a good time to start flushing, so I started using just clean water to start the process at about week 18. Started getting from what it looked like last time, cal deficiency, so I added cal mag, slowly cleared but now it looks burnt either from nutrients or light🤦‍♂️🏽 4 days ago I noticed a sudden growth spurt with new growths throughout the buds, as you can tell in the pics. So I went back to adding just bud candy in the water..Stupid idea? And now today I have noticed fuzzy white mold and yellow gold spots in the soil. I dont know if it is harmful or a good indication? Should I just harvest it or let it grow further? Some advice would be much appreciated at this point. Other than that, it has been a super long and slow grow and I am so keen for it to be harvested already as you know, it is my first grow after all. Peace✌️😊
