Ah, this diary is being slept on! She’s developing nicely. Still slowly lowering humidity to increase vpd. Started decreasing night temps, curious to see if we can pull any purple out from its purple punch lineage. A yellow leaf and a few others beginning to fade; increased nutes to see if we can keep her happy. Video/photos taken 84 days after breaking soil, day 35 of flower.

12 days to full transplantable roots. Right on schedule as expected. Moved 6 of the 12 clones (1 per plant) into a new 45L Rez that I cobbled together in an evening. Just small enough to fit into the cabinet. Hopefully the roots don’t choke each other out for territory while we work to reveg, re-flower and ultimately seed em all for the new F3 line. We’ll pick the best buds from the lot for the next testing run once we see what the pheno variation looks like from the main run in the tent. It’s a process and annoyance not to be yielding bud off a grow cycle but it is what it is if you want your own signature stuff. Alls good for now. Let’s just hope that the 6 coats of paint I threw on the lid is enough to keep out the grow light penetration🤞. Shoulda used black, whatever.

This week, the plant continued to develop with no major issues. However, signs of a magnesium and calcium deficiency have started to appear, which may require adjustments in the nutrient schedule with Calmag. The plant was watered once with clear, pH-adjusted water to maintain a stable environment. A mild yet distinct aroma has also begun to emerge, hinting at the plant’s unique character as it matures. Overall, growth is progressing well despite the minor nutrient deficiencies.

Day 60F The PM on the cheese has gotten significantly worse in the last few days. I think it may have something to do with the constant humidity spikes every time I water. I haven’t been running my humidifier at all in flower so maybe it’s having trouble keeping the RH up during lights on. Just another reason to follow a daily watering schedule. The cheese and slurricane look fucking disgusting and I’m starting to doubt that a peroxide wash can totally fix it. It worked well for my outdoor crop so it should be fine but this time there is probably 3x the amount. I’ll make sure to really soak the buds and rinse them off good. Bbb#1 is flopping over like crazy from the weight. Too late to stake it up now so hopefully it holds until next week. Starting to foxtail a bit but nothing too bad. It is now 100% done and ready for chop. Bbb#2 is just getting frostier and frostier by the day. The purple fade is really coming along nicely too. Might reveg. It is now 100% done and ready for harvest. Black garlic #1 is finally filling out! I can’t believe it. Never heard of a plant packing weight on like that in week 8. The breeder did mention that it packs on weight later but I’m stunned. Taking her to 9.5 weeks. Black garlic #2 is looking very average. Average color, average size buds, average frost, average smell, probably an average yield. And it’s starting to get a bit of PM. Overall not happy. Will be taking her to 9.5 weeks. Zkittlez #1 has pleasantly surprised me. It was a bushy runt in veg but came through. It’s the third frostiest in the tent, super dense, stacked tight, smells great and looks great. It’s already got a nice amount of amber so it’s 100% ready for chop. Slurricane #4 looks insanely frosty even under all that PM. If I can’t wash it off it’s going in the trash. I want to chop this asap but have to cut everything at once unfortunately. It’s 100% ready for harvest. Badazz OG cheese is looking like a decent yielder but doesn’t have much else going for it. I think it still has some filling out to do. I can’t even smell the final profile change yet. The leaves are rotting off very quickly. Taking her 9.5 weeks. I don’t mind harvesting a bit later rather than early. From my outdoor experience, when a plant is picked early it smells like hay and wet grass clippings until it’s been curing for 3 weeks. When I harvest late or at 30-50% amber trichomes it smells like same scent profile it had when growing. Just my experience. I’ve read that the tobacco industry adds calcium and potassium carbonate to their crops to help promote fire holding capacity and to increase the whiteness of ash. Turns out some of the organic amendments I bought last week contain exactly that. I’m going to give each plant a light top dress to see if the tobacco industry is onto something.

This plant was a plant I was not expecting much from. Although this plant has turned into a beast. The plant has crazy vigor and stacks very very well. If this plant smokes well then I will definitely have to get more seeds from this strain and pheno hunt it. Welcome to week 7! Almost time to flower and things are looking good. Since last week I did some light defoliation and cleaning up of the bottoms over a few days. I also lightly tied some of the branches out to allow a bit more light penetration but also to spread the canopy. This week (at the end of the week) the plants got one water containing a 2tsp of kelp, and 2 tsp of freeze dried coconut. The ladies also got one foliar spray with Mountain Organics sprouts, citrus and Rita oil combined with a small amount of Method 1pps (see picture in week 6). Temperature and humidity has really been steady thanks to the help of my Grow Ratio ESU and fans. Hoping I can keep this rate of growth into flower. This week has been sunny, hot and wet. I have not done a thing except to keep an eye on Miss Gorilla Cookies. It has been a hot and rainy week and I did not feed this plant this week. That is why I did not record Ph levels and PPM, etc this week. I have really wanted to give this diary an honest, straight up review of Gorilla Cookies growing in whatever Mother Nature threw her way. She is tall and thin but has a lot of bud growth. I am eager to see how big her buds will get. One thing that I have not been super pleased with is using Miracle Grow as a nutrient. This outside grow was an experiment using Miracle and not my typical Fox Farm nutrients. At this point in my grow, Miracle Grow needs to remain for garden vegetables and flowers NOT cannibas. As a result, I have made an Executive Decision and will going add some @Advance Nutrients Jungle Juice for the remainder this grow. @Hindugod and I have been growing our Gorilla Cookie plants simultaneously and his plants look thicker than mine do. His weather has not been as hard on his plants as I have had here in Virginia. He is also using different nutrients. Last week of flush now up until harvest, cannot wait to try these. The buds have turned out so nice. I’ve got a temperature controller to keep the temps consistent. Going to get these cut as soon as the tricomes start to turn amber! That’s it and 1 down now, drying until a branch snaps next to chop will be the lemon pie and then finally the other diesel. Cannot wait! I will update soon with the yeild and smoke report!

Green Gelato coming along nice and steady, loads of bud development since last week and still 4 days left of this week. Looking to start flushing in the next 4 days. Will see by day 56. She's smelling beautifully, can really smell a sweet fruity apricot/orange aroma which to me would be the sunset sherbet lineage in her but terps are still developing and changing so we will see.
