The harvest of my dear Stella was supposed to happen on August 4th, but didn’t begin actually until August 9th. I decided to allow her to dry out a bit before beginning the harvest, but I had some other difficulties which made her dry out a whole lot before I ever even got started. You can tell how dry by looking at the pics and video. Luckily, the dryness was limited to her larger leaves. She was already quite dry on the 9th when I started, and was more so by the 12th when I finished. Even after the advanced drying, her wet trimmed weight was still quite a bit. I’ll list the weights all together in a bit. It took 4 days to get the whole plant trimmed, weighed, and hung up for final drying. She was hung up from August 12th till Friday, August 19th. I got busy harvesting another plant while she was hanging up, and just let her be. On August 19th I took all of her branches down and removed the buds to get the true harvest weight of her buds alone. Let’s get to the weight of the whole thing. The overall wet-trimmed weight of the plant was 18.329 ounces with the buds and branches combined. I was a forgetful idiot and forgot to get the weight of the dry buds on the branches before removing the buds. So all we’re left with is the actual harvest weight of the dry buds alone. The overall dry bud weight, or actual “true” harvest weight of the smokable bud is: 7.317 ounces. That’s a wonderful amount of freshly harvested bud to cure. All of the buds were put into 8 quart sized jars filled roughly 3/4 full, and 1 pint sized jar, also 3/4 full. Each jar has a hygrometer as well as 58% bóveda packs to help aid the curing process. This is the 2nd DarkStar plant I’ve harvested, and both were very large plants. I used a scrog method the first time with a net that spread the whole plant out taking up the entire 4x4 area of the tent. This time I wanted to let her grow more naturally. She got so large that I had to bend almost all of her taller branches over using HST methods. I had to bend 3-5 branches over more than once. By doing that, once her buds began to fatten up she got too heavy and needed to be supported just to stand upright. Toward the end she had to literally be tied up to the side of the tent. Stella (DarkStar) was a wonder to grow, and she gave me a good amount of clones that will soon be harvested themselves. It has been a journey with Stella, and I’m happy that the journey is now complete. Happy growing everyone!

Can't believe these now absolutley smashing it. Think it's another week of Overdrive for a few of them and then flushing. There is one that developed some black spots which I think is potassium deficiency. Other than that the rest are doing amazing under the Spider Farmer and Advanced Nutrients. The Purple is crazy really don't wanna chop it down become attached haha Smells like blackcurrant fruit punch omg Unreal . One smells like giant bag of skittles fruity as hell man! 2 weeks maybe and she done 💪👽

Hello Diary. We have reached the end of the cycle of this fragrant beauty. There will be a harvest in 2-3 days.😍 Every day I use a small microscope to check when it will be ready. When the trichomes start to turn brown, then I will have a harvest, everything is already prepared. 💪 As can be seen in the pictures, most of the leaves are completely yellowed, the flowers themselves are beautiful green. 😀 At the end of the week I did a defoliation, I took off all the bigger leaves to give them better airiness in those last days and to give the flowers a little more energy. 💪 Watering is every three days and on her 61st day was the last watering before harvest. p.H of water before watering I regulate with Plagron’s Lemon Kick. Always between 6.2 and 6.3 The temperature and humidity in the Box are great, almost ideal for this phase. 👌 Let’s take a look at what Fat Banana’s last week looked like. 21/11/2020 - Day 58. Watering. p.H of water I regulated to 6.3. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 24.5 degrees and 38% humidity. 24/11/2020 - Day 61. Watering. Same procedure as three days earlier. Temp / Humidity on the farm - 25.1 degrees and 40% humidity. 26/11/2020 - Day 63. Photography and defoliation. As I wrote earlier, I removed all the larger leaves for better airflow and to give the flowers a little more energy. I photographed Fat Banana for the last week of flowering, since I will have a harvest in a few days, I will take the final photos on a black background. I'm really looking forward to it. Girls are starting to show pre flower. Thanks goodness the light pollution in the pot patch is 0. Will add some bloom amendments next week, although they got some bone meal not too long ago. Did another foliar spray as next week may be the last time I will be able to deliver nutrients in that manner. NEVER foliar spray buds! Unless you want to get bud rot.

Hello again and welcome back, Week 6 of veg and the second topping has been completed. the Jack Herer was the best looking one in week 5 it went sideways on me. I think it was a combination of too much light and too much water as I soaked the hell out of the ladies with 7.0 rainwater. the other 5 seem to have no problem with the irrigation and the light intensity. I have a theory that the roots might have hit a concentrated pocket of nutrients in the soil. just a theory on my end. no signs of hunger from them, I am going to flip them on Sunday to 12/12 I wonder if the soil will have enough food to carry them into flower or should I add a PK top dressing when I flip them. any super soil users out there care to leave a comment please do as this is a new method for me. thanks and stay lifted.

Week 17

On the final few days of a 10 day flush. Will be chopping down this week to harvest and hang dry. Really excited to try this one. The smells in the room are unreal.

Ran out of headroom in the tent, WW#2 is sitting at about ~49 Inches Tall with NL 1&2 close behind at around 42 inches. WW#1 is flowering nicely and sitting at 27 Inches, propper up on buckets and with added supplemental lighting which will also help the lower budsites on main colas on the other plants. Hope that WW2 doesnt stretch any further or i'll have to start training it a little to keep it away from the light but growth is definitely slowing at least.

My permanent marker plants are looking really interesting! The short and stocky one with the purple leaves is super vibrant. I love that pop of color against the green of the other plants. It's a little different from the taller plant, which has this really cool stacked-up look to it. I'm curious to see if those stacked-up leaves will change color too. The past few weeks have been so beautiful, watching the plants grow and change. It's amazing how something so small and fragile can turn into something so strong and vibrant. Now that they're getting ready to bloom, it feels a little bittersweet. I'm so excited to see the finished product, but I'll definitely miss having them around while they're growing.
