This strain showed vigorous growth from the start. Very easy growing, didn't need a lot of nutes. Was the largest plant in my garden. Smelled just like a Tootsie Roll at the end, sweet chocolate and slight spice aroma. Very relaxing and comforting, makes you contemplative and nostalgic at times. All you want to do is find a hot tub somewhere and gaze at the stars, or run a nice bath and read.

October 6: Wow! Just wow! This strain put out vigorous vegetative growth from the start. She was the largest plant throughout the season with a very large trunk and now that she's down it's official: 45.54 oz. That's a decent harvest. We'll see what the dry numbers come out to but right now I'm very happy. Barney's Farm has done it again! As I was cutting her down I noticed she smelled like a Tootsie Roll, it's uncanny! Notes of sweetness, chocolate and a little pungent/earthiness. I did cut down early due to some mold which was from caterpillars. They really seemed to love this strain, and apparently I wasn't diligent enough. It's also been in the 30's at night so it was time. I washed her buds, as I always do with Lemon Juice and Baking Soda, and she's hanging up to dry in the upstairs of the barn with the oscillating fan going. I'll let you guys know when I have dry numbers and a smoke report! I had 45.54 oz of wet bud that turned into 5.79 oz of dry flower. Stored in quart mason jars with Boveda 58% RH packs, burped and stabilized. I used 62% packs last year but noticed I was starting to get mold in some of my jars this summer, even though they hadn't been opened at all since I stored them. I really like the balance of this strain, not as motivating as Blue Shark, yet not as sedating as Critical Cure. You feel relaxed and comforted in your body, it eliminated my RLS. You're also contemplative and nostalgic. Great for meditation. I found myself yearning for a hot tub to sit in and gaze at the stars, or a hot bath and a good book. November 2020- A year later, and the flower is still good. Still smells like a Tootsie Roll and one of my personal favorites. The Boveda 58% packs worked really well and I'm using them from now on. This strain is so comforting, like a nice fuzzy blanket. I really like using this Caramel for edibles, perfect in brownies! My Favorite Brownies- Not overly cakey, nice, dense and fudgy. 1/2 C Cannabutter 1/2 C Cocoa Powder 1/4 C flour 2 eggs 1 C sugar 1 C Chopped nuts 1 t Vanilla Pinch of salt Cream butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time incorporating each. Mix dry ingredients and add, then fold in nuts. Use a greased 8"x8" pan. 325 F for 30-35 minutes

@Mrs_Larimar, Thank you! Feeling much better. However the weather is not cooperating! It's still getting down into the 40's at night (around 6-8C) it's not forecasted for temps to remain above 60 (15C) until next month! I'm hoping if I put them under a row cover in a couple weeks that it will protect them enough. We're having a very late spring... And it's almost summer😟

@Mrs_Larimar, Thanks! To me She smells sweet and earthy with a hint of spice. Though then again I have chronic sinusitis and a deviated septum so I could be wrong!😂👃

they look very wonderful, maybe a little to lightgreen=? i cant say it its just photos... i wont stop giving them small amounts of nitrogen, they are still growing and stretching

@Mrs_Larimar, Thanks! I'm giving them the 5-2-4 granular every other week so they're still getting Nitrogen, just takes a little longer for them to take it up since it's granular. I may give them a little blood meal and see what happens because they are stretching quite a bit, I know the Widow Remedy could use a little more N.

I agree to your concerns about the soil... it a great soil but not for seedlings, they like " poor " soil........ only slightly fertilised... and if you go with solocups than those very small containers they grow better... but the year started.... and they have around 6 more months to grow...

Question: How do you get your end product tested? I would love have my finished product tested but I'm unsure if individuals are able to take them to the commercial testing labs around me (NorCal)
Fibro_Witch
Fibro_Witchcommented4 years ago
@@Sonoma_Sungrown, I've never had mine tested so I wouldn't know from experience. I would recommend searching for Private Cannabis Testing on Google. I would guess there should be at least one around you.

Caramelicious always runs slow for me too. I have four autos in their third week of flower right now and I did six photo's last year that went 24 weeks. Could have harvested at the end of 22, but the weather was still cooperating nicely.
