Defoliation is a critical part of the flowering stage, and I typically wait until Day 21. However, this week, I tackled it earlier on Day 17 because: 1️⃣ The room was simply too full. 2️⃣ And most importantly—the Papaya Zoap had other plans! She’s a fighter—determined, defiant, and constantly reaching for the moon. Despite intense training like super cropping, she’s still pushing upward, nearly outpacing the LED lights. Challenges like this remind us of a simple truth: gardening mirrors life. It’s about resilience, adaptation, and unwavering determination. 💪 This week, I added a second SCROG layer. While this net will support the flowering colas, it’s also there to strategically manage the Papaya Zoap. Why? Because experience has taught me that if she grows out of the LED’s range, she won’t finish properly—and that could disrupt the balance for every other plant in the tent. It’s all about teamwork, even in the garden. 🌟 Defoliation was intense, removing nearly all the leaves with stems to clear space and boost airflow. The tent now looks dramatically different! The thing I love about this strain is how little the largest branches stretch and how much the lower branches come up to the main level. With some diligent training I was able to get probably the most dense and even canopy I’ve ever accomplished. Can’t wait to see how this progresses through flower.

At the beginning of the week the plants was so dried, maybe near death. I give them water and some nutrients, and in two days It have regeined strength. I'm very curious to see the final weigth.

First week going smooth,just a little bit cold but still feeling good

08/29/2018 Been a hot week but the girls don't seem to mind,90s in the day 82° at night and sticky,muggy weather. Their leaves all pointing ☝️,lets me know they are happy ☺️ .watered with plain water they were pretty dry pots weight was very light. Will feed and water in in morning sleep well and medicated😎 08/31/2018 Just a note today #1 is very green compared to the other 4 plants, could be potted plants running low on nitrogen? My soil has plenty according to soil test. I know last year's crop in soil was pale like other 4 plants, maybe biochar is helping soil retain it's nutes better? Year 2 for biochar, first year could have tied up some nutes....hmmm? Ps Last feeding today Fox farms big bloom at heavy feeder dose 1/2 cup per gallon, should see nice gains this week! 🙏🙏🙏. Pss.
