Sun Dec 27 Witnessing a true Stretch heading into week 2 of flower. Hoping to keep Veg Nutrients high this week, and be prepared to switch/transition into the Flowering formulas at the sight of “Hairs” being formed on bud sites.
-switched the direction of my light, to make the most efficient use of the light hood itself. Sticking with the diagonal set-up in the tent.
Mon; chemistry is listed above
***plant was originally super-cropped between the 3rd & 4th node, there’s not much room underneath*** 4th / 5th node might be worth considering next time.
- soil / sand-coating seems really dry. This 2nd week will see feeding every other day. Nutes will remain as is Until there’s changes
** Uv-B was brought to my attention a few weeks ago, (thx DoDrugs420) and I am going to run a side by side test on it. Later this week I plan to install a 18” uv-b tube above one of the two plants, for the duration of Flower.
*** Working with stakes again is kinda fun. But I also remember nearly poking my eye out several times with them. Safety glasses and Marking the Ends of the Stakes is a really good method of preventing accidents ***
Wed Dec 30th
- Food includes Unsulphured Molasses tonight. Still including it every third watering/feeding
-Going to wait one more feed before adding some bloom nutes. Crazy growth and activity at the bud sites. And no groups of gangly hairs
Thurs Dec 31st “happy new year all !”
Next feed will feature half Bloom half Veg nutes and will be on Jan 2nd
-Uv-B bulb installed ~ 14” from angled canopy...
-running it on a reduced schedule right now. 2 x 3 hours per nite till I get to see how the leaves like it
Recommended **12 hr CMH / LED etc. = 8 hr Uv-B**
- Uv-B Bulb found at a Pet Store ~ $34 cdn and a simple black light fixture ~ $33 got it up and running.
UV-B light is Not to be viewed... it’s dangerous to human eyes / skin.
Jan 1. Moving to Bloom food!
New growth and the arrival of Hairs on both plants will see me start to change their diet. Tonight the first Bloom food will be given and the transition will be over 3 feeds. 1/3, 2/3 and full bloom recommendation. (Opposite with Medi-One) 2/3, 1/3, 0
-plants had many branches that needed to be repositioned and LST applied. Canopy was releveled. Cleaned out some useless leaves from the undercarriage
-what a great way to start the new year. Having a tremendous grow...
-going to slowly start pulling back on the Rapid Start, now that we are entering true flower stage. (4ml/gal down to 1.0-1.5ml/g by the end of week 6) Same goes for CaliMagic. I’ve taken it higher than previously, (5ml vs 2ml ) and the results are obvious.
Time to let these numbers drop a bit, make room for Bloom.
