Trop Cherry #8 x BeeJayz hasn’t been topped, I transplanted the girls this week from a 1 gallon pot to a 3 gallon pot. Trop Cherry was in a plastic pot but now in a fabric pot. Plants seem to be growing well.

I’m happy one of the white widows is further ahead in flowering. I’m looking forward to enjoying some smoke.

Week 7 of flower and I opened the tent and it looked and smelled amazing 🤩 I took a few photos and than I checked for herms and other problems… Hidden in the middle behind the bigger buds from DW1 I found some yellow sugar leafs and of course it is bud rot. I remove the whole branch and checked it in detail outside the tent. At the moment I have no idea what I have to do now. I will start a google research and than I hope I can safe the plans from further problems. Sad day... Update After a few minutes of reading, I killed and removed the plant. I tried to clean everything as good as possible with alcohol. I ripped every cola in small pieces to check, on the outside everything looked very good, but I found two other mold spots deep inside the bud. Let's hope for the best. I changed the airflow and the inline fan to the maximum. Update 2 Omg, I am so stupid. I was very surprised because of the bud rot. Yes the humidity is a bit to high, but not that bad and everything was setup with a lot a passion. I grow tomatoes and peppers since 2016 and never had problems. Then I discovered my very big mistake. I connected the air circulation on the same power as the lights so 12 hours per day only the inline fan and I have no idea for how long. 😭 I only checked the plants after the lights went on and today I checked a few minutes earlier. Hope that will fix it.

Week 1 was a great week

I stressed this lady out early accidentally , she bounced back as best as I permitted room for . She bared with me all the way until the end throughout this entire learning cycle . I’m deeply appreciative for the ease of grow & level of bounce back she had . It was the most impressive grow but it didn’t require rocket science to grow this either

This week started out well. After topping both sides started growing pretty quickly. Later on in the week I decided to see how flexible the new branches were, they seemed pretty flexible so I wanted to start fixing them down, but not too low. Sadly one of the branches snapped off. I quickly tried to reattach it, but it got loose and died off. New plan, I left the second node intact to fill up some possibly empty spaces, but now they will have to serve as the right side of the manifold. Part of the timelapse is a bit weird as the camera kept sliding out of position because of the wire pulling it down, but that should be fixed now.

Both phenos are healthy, lush, and stretching beautifully, clearly ready for the show ahead. ⸻ 📸 Photo Studio Glam We took them out for another studio shoot, bright lights, clean background, and every angle showing off their deep greens and perfect branching. Soon, their beauty will be dressed in flowers, but for now, the leaf structure alone is worthy of the spotlight. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C Yes, the temperature is running hot — AC unit is on the way to lock it back into our ideal zone. ⸻ 💬 Heat in the Grow Room – Risks & Benefits Potential Risks: • Faster substrate drying = more frequent irrigation needed • Higher transpiration rates can stress plants if roots can’t keep up • Slightly increased risk of light stress at high PPFD without proper cooling • Possible reduced terpene retention if sustained into late flower Possible Benefits (short term in veg/pre-flower): • Accelerated metabolism — plants grow and stretch faster • Increased water/nutrient uptake (if well-fed and watered on time) • Can improve CO₂ usage efficiency if levels are high enough Bottom line: As long as they’re hydrated, fed, and ventilated, short bursts of high temp are manageable. But for flowering, we want to keep daytime temps closer to 24–28°C for optimal quality. ⸻ 💧 Watering Strategy We water when the soil dries to about 25% moisture remaining, this encourages: • Stronger root growth searching for water • Better oxygenation of the root zone • Less risk of root rot in warm temps Right now: They’re drinking daily due to the heat, so we’re feeding daily as well. ⸻ Current Feeding (per L of water) • Aptus Regulator – 0.15 ml • Aptus CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml • Aptus Top Booster – 0.25 ml With the increased drinking rate, nutrient uptake has increased — meaning no signs of deficiency, just steady lush green. ⸻ 🚀 Looking Ahead • AC installation will stabilize temps, allowing tighter VPD control • First signs of pistils should appear within the next 7–10 days • We’ll begin adjusting feed ratios for early bloom once flowers set • Light intensity will climb further as stretch continues ⸻ 💚 Closing Note: This week is all about momentum, heat or no heat, the Lava Cakes are pushing upward, prepping themselves for a heavy flower load. 12/8 - Today is the start of week 10. I actually changed the nutes on this girl yesterday (12/7) because I had some extra time. I tapered her down to 60% strength (down from 75% during the previous week) due to some pH drifting issues. I removed a few errant leaves, but for the most part haven't messed with her much over the last week. She is starting to pack on the trichomes and hopefully will be bulking up over the next week or two before ripening. Thanks for stopping by the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

Starting the week with a little lower nutrients. Was out of town for 3 days so not much happened. Just trimmed the dying leaves and letting her do her thang😎

A great week. Included a diagram so you can better tell which plant is which. I will be changing that up come flower to better fit the plants so I'll label them later as well. Gonna flip to flower I believe to try and save space. Gonna be tight but wasn't planning that this time. I got some BT var israelensis or something close to that for the fungus gnats thanks to @resimax and will test that. Lastly, you might catch a glance at the upcoming diary...

First the plant had some weird growth but she recovered!

This one has been the second easiest harvest we ever did (back to the Purple Punch), the plant lost many leaves by herself, still pretty easy. she has a strong flavour and we literally cant wait to smoke her.
