So this is the start of the fourth week with me. I find this very engulfing. I like spending an hour with them a day and move the little ones out of the bigger fan leaves shadow by tucking the larger ones away giving the little ones a chance to get more light and flourish. I’m noticing more the strain my one girl went through compared to the others, her leaves being smaller than the other girls. I’ve tried to give them the best environment I can and realize I still play a huge role in their life. This is my first grow and I love it. I hope they grow up well and flourish. They were fed last week and had a bit of nutrient burn so this week I gave them just water. I’m not sure how much longer I should veg but I hear in the scrog game the longer you veg the better. Hoping for the best for everyone on GrowDiaries and their grows!

Blue Shark is looking fab! Still a darker green than everyone else. There are 2 videos this week, one where I explain how my plan for a tomato roof using materials I already had didn't work out, and the 2nd being about the rogue who grew in my pea bed (whom I affectionately call "Rogue One") who has been raised almost exclusively on my homemade compost. I had people who were concerned last year when I made my own compost tea from the compost in my pile. People were concerned about bacteria, nutrient profile, etc. I feel like a lot of people get really regimented in their feeding, and they sort of forget that these are plants and they can adapt. They take what they need if it's available. I moved away from using mineral salts this year because you have to be careful with so many of these fertilizers so that you don't burn the plant, you have to flush it so you don't get a harsh smoke, mineral salts causing lockout, etc. If you stick with products that are natural you don't really have to worry about nute burn. You don't have to flush for an extended period of time before harvest. You don't have salts building up in the soil that are detrimental that you have to periodically flush and then add beneficial microbes back in. There is another way.

CandyMan (kre8 Genetics regular seeds) Week 5 Day 35 of veg! First one has always looked smaller not sure if it's due to that light though but could also just be a weaker Genetic 🤷‍♂️🏼 the other two seem to fill out quickly even after pulling most leaves off they just bounce back looking bushy in 24hrs! Two more weeks until flip 😍

hi, one more week, except for the lack of control in height due to the sativa phenotypes and a couple of plants that show some virosis. Everything is going well, good smell and plenty of resin. we're about halfway through the flowering cycle now! greetings.

the cycle has come to an end, the plants have been harvested and are being cured. the mother yielded 421 grams of dry flowers the clones yielded 303 grams of dry flowers. the variety changed its smell during curing, it became even more pleasant, the smell of garlic is not felt, fruit spices, very complex. the variety is generally very strong, not suitable for beginners and for daily smoking. I am very glad that such a rich harvest came out.

DAY 29: Wooohoo, it is that exciting time when we notice more of the little white hairs poking up around the bracts and the tips take on a bursting opening of growth appearance. The main 2 in flower are the Northern lights #1 and Grandaddys mimosa. Both have started to stretch and will benefit from the planned l.s.t to keep them in their best light . Northern lights has taken a very healthy S-bend in her stem as she wanted to go tall from the beginning. Her growth rate has been excellent under the light and I can see her stretching will certainly have me pushing the lights footprint limits. Grandaddys mimosa has also added a nice bit of height at around 12 inches now. A good start for stretching too. She has space and I have been removing the larfy lower growth from rhem all to not waste energy. She is a little more advanced in flower then the northern light but very close. Both of the Gorilla cookies are starting to join the party now and look like they are still in veg and pushing tips up for flowering but no signs of bract hairs yet so they will hopefully match the size of the other 2 soon enough. They are a bushier appearance than the other 2 strains so I will have to make sure they dont get overgrown by their canopies after the stretch periods. The mutant Northern lights has still remained small and hopeful but I wont be holding out too.much hope on her. I contacted Fast buds and used their after sales service to discuss the failed seeds. They were excellent and only needed a few details of purchase and a couple of pics with some info on what happened and they have now replaced the 3 that I lost. Well done for keeping true to your word @fastbuds . THE LIGHT What can I say about this amazing piece of tech. A small unit, solidly made and delivering a punch way better than I honestly expected. I thought it was going to be ok to sprout them and bring them up together then remove most of them to grow with my other lights while I flowered a single plant under it. Seeing how bloody capable it is , has thrown that plan out of the window altogether...... I plan now to grow all 4 main plants to harvest and really push the limits of this sunshine in a shade. For 150w of power , it is having no problems providing plenty of par for all of the girls to max their photosynthesis needs. All of them are in homemade super soil and the lights are their main input from my end so something is keeping them very happy indeed. In a box or cupboard , this light could work wonders on a single plant or couple of trained but I feel this would be hiding a lot of potential and underestimating its abilities. A very happy grow here . Let's see how it progresses. Nice work Viparspectra. Until next time. Be safe and well.
