So Ill start by talking about her smell. Maria has been super super low key in that so far my room has not stank of weed super badly. My room was fresh and had a herby comforting lining, but no blue-cheese-skunk-on-the-loose type scenario. But when you frisked up Maria, a persons nostrils might describe it something like ...walking through a mystical forrest eating your favourite candy, after you've just blessed a fat one with Bob Marley.. its a feeling not a smell. But if you were to describe it, its like a summer fucking cocktail' bish. She has also started to show some red hairs, Id say about 1/3 of her hair is ginger at this point. I think a point to note is that she has been drinking a lot more water (About 3l water every 3 days) as she's bulked up and started to shine. Im super happy with the grow so far; Ive made mistakes, and not all circumstances have been ideal. BUT, its been such a rewarding experience so far and I'm also glad I got to start with fucking dank genetics from Dinafem. You guys are fuckin' super stars. Ive been supplementing her with some LOVE. I can not get over how beautiful it is?! Cannabis is just so mystical? Being my first grow I'd still never got to see a late flowering cannabis plant in my life! I grew up in Dubai where Cannabis is hecticly-illegal, and lived in cities thereafter most my life. Maria is like a child who I will later kill in her sleep before she wakes up and hang upside down in my cupboard to dry out. But I truly love this plant.

This is part of a gentle, prolonged flush phase I like to implement, giving the plants a chance to metabolize and fade naturally. The goal is to promote clean, vibrant flowers that finish with optimal expression, without rushing the process. No forced flush, just time and care. Lighting-wise, the spectrum has been tuned with precision — we’re currently running 40% on the whites, with reds and UVs at 100% to drive trichome development, resin production, and color expression in these final days. The plants are loving it — they’re soaking in the deeper wavelengths that signal the end of their life cycle and responding with a final push of energy. And yes — we’ve been running 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness from the very start of flower. It’s not the usual 12/12, and it comes with its pros and cons. After strength training and taking a cutting off the tall one to the left, all plants are at 90cm. I also removed the two lowest branches for cuttings. The two on the right have much less of a Sativa shaped leaf and also grew very quickly even in the rain and thunderstorms! All seem to have recovered from strength training and growing vigorously!

The trichomes towards the end of this week had started to go slightly cloudy so I decided not to feed and to start the flushing process instead. I flushed the medium with a couple of litres of water per plant until I got a good amount of run off. I think I may have not back off the nuets enough on the few last feeds as the majority of the leafs on all 4 plants are still quiet dark green in colour with no yellowing. I did a good amount of defoliation at the start of week to try and get as much light to the lower areas as possible. The buds are still developing ok I think they feel dense, they won’t be massive buds but I am hopeful for a decent yield overall. The smell is strong but the carbon filter is working great. Happy growing so far 🤞🏻

Not much to report this week. Really impressed with the results so far from the Mars hydro TS600 the bud development seems to be pretty good. This strain is producing a lot of trichomes and the smell is starting to pick up at good bit now going into week 6. Lowered the amount of Canna A an B feed to 2.4ml/L and PK13/14 to 1.0ml/L. Some light defoliation to help get more light coverage to the lower buds.

APRIL 18TH 2024 - The 3rd batch of clones was taken yesterday and mother plants stripped back aggressively now that focus will be going toward the beds and clones. The generation 2 mom's are going to be vegged up and ready to produce our second harvest's set of clones. We have taken 3 batches of clones kept them in half gallon bags in each of the beds so we can pick the absolute best of each to transplant into the beds & proceed into the grow with. Both Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plants are filling up more and the first pistils start to get brown, which shows the plants start to ripen and go towards harvest time. The smell they exude is STRONG now and VERY PLEASANT. The aroma is sweet, peachy with sandalwood undertones and is MOUTH-WATERING. The plants are TRICHOME MONSTERS and are covered in crystals, any little touch and your fingers stay sticky for hours.

In this diary we find the plant worked with the Main Lining and here we immediately noticed that it is a plant with irregular internodes, that is, the mini branches are not parallel on the main branch and are in spurious numbers and strangely positioned, a big gamble to decide what to keep and what to leave. Gorilla Cookies is at about 10 weeks now. A surprisingly small plant but still looks like it will be a couple of zip. Buds are quite frosty and I'm getting lots of autumn colours. Maybe another week see how she goes.

The tuber boost increased significantly from the 5th week onwards. It has become colder outside, but the climate in the tent has remained fairly constant. During the day around 25 degrees, at night around 19 degrees. In the meantime, beautiful head buds have formed which appear very compact and firm. The smell on the fingers is now also intense if you have to remove a few leaves for better light penetration. Watering is still done three times a week with compost tea, water and PK Bosster plus water alternately. If watering is necessary in between, then with normal water (~23°C). Soil temperature:~18°C The slightly younger London Pound Cake X Zoap can be clearly distinguished by its tuber structure and seems to be ready at the same time despite being 1.5 weeks younger. The three Mimosa X Orange Punch are partially peach colored and the Fat Freddy's are darker and partially purple colored. Flowering was given as 8-9 weeks, which I think is correct. But I think it's more like 9 weeks, as I want to let the plants mature properly. The leaves are now also turning purple in places and in general some parts are starting to 'leaf out'. As I have already said, the plants have generally grown too tall and maybe 12 is too many, which is particularly noticeable in the middle and lower part of the plants, as they are quite compact and quite light, which suggests that there is not enough light. As the plants are now concentrating almost exclusively on flower formation, I have again removed some leaves that are too large in the upper third to the middle to give the lower flowers better lighting. Overall, however, all the plants have developed really well and I'm already looking forward to the final result.
