Seems some nice growth this week from having her tied all down. Preflower has started but idk if that's what I should list her as "flowering" yet Gave Chem its first feeding on 9/28/22 watered with 6.5ph. Runoff was 6.76ph, 320ppm, .6ec. Mixed 5ml cal-mag, 1/2tsp flora nova grow, 1/2tsp flora nova bloom, 2ml amino acids, 6ml fish shit, 1/2 tsp great white. Mixture was 5.47ph, 750ppm, 1.5ec. Runoff was 6.53ph, 490ppm, .97ec I will update the nutrient list next update seeing as this was the first feeding

•••••••••••••••••••••••••• Sept. 26 - Oct. 2 Week 8 of 12/12 •••••••••••••••••••••••••• WEEKLY SUMMARY: •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 🙋‍♀️Fo' Twenny here!🙋‍♀️ We're back with another update on our 🍊🍧ORANGE SHERBERT cultivar bred by BARNEY'S FARM! It's week 8 and all she is looking great as she progresses deeper into senescence! She is really packing on the frost ❄️and her Orange Cream Candy 🍊🍦🍭 fragrance just keeps getting stronger!!! It wont be long before we harvest these beautiful flowers!!! Also, I realized my BlueLab Conductivity Meter has the option to switch to EC. Since EC is the most accurate way to measure the nutrient concentration in a solution, I will now be measuring and reporting EC readings rather than PPM. Any advice, suggestions, or constructive criticisms are always welcome. Now, for the weekly break down! •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• THIS WEEK'S BREAK DOWN •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• 9/26 - Day 50 of Bloom °°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°° 👩‍💻🏼 UPGRADE 👩‍💻 - Upgraded from 8k BTU to 14k BTU portable AC unit! ✂️🍃 PRUNING/TRAINING 🍃✂️ - Selective light defoliation. Removal of dying leaves, leaves blocking other budsites and lower leaves preventing proper air flow. I try to stick to defoliating around 10-15% of foliage at a time and make sure to leave a "crown" 👑 of leaves at the top to absorb photons. If additional defoliation is needed, I will wait at least 3-5 days to avoid stunting growth. 🚿FEED DAY!🚿 - She received approximately 2.5 gallons of nutrient solution. I mixed 8 gallons of solution for all the plants I have in flower. 2.5 gallons of that was then measured and fed to this cultivar. After 10-15 minutes I added additional 12 oz of plain H2O pH to 6.3 👩‍🔬NUTRIENT SOLUTION👩‍🔬 ⬇️Mixing Rundown⬇️ - The solution starts with 12 gal tap H2O through two kdf filters mixed in a 36 gallon reservoir. Week 11! Day 77. Gotta be nearing the final lap now. Old fan leaves are turning yellow & pistils are turning brown. I did a few trial runs of "ice flushing" but with just one ice cube at a time last week lol. Maybe 2-3 cubes per day. Figured it'd help imitate colder conditions outdoors if nothing else. Still doing the slow, small waterings as she definitely prefers them to dumping a whole bottle-and-a-half in there at once. The smell is more noticeable than before, but still not where you'd expect for the size & maturity. My smaller plants both smelled stronger, and MUCH earlier. One of them was a Solo cup grow all the way to the end & neither exceeded a paltry 4.3 grams dry. (Maybe I've just had COVID one too many times since then but this plant is as odor-free as can be). Frost level is moderate compared to popular strains & bud sites are abundant which is my main concern. I don't smoke weed for the taste or smell, though I know terps play a role in the final effects. This girl couldn't smell any LESS like Skittles, berries or chocolate if it tried, leaning much farther in the skunky/pungent direction. Planning to do a wet trim & staggered harvest, cutting the top into 3 sections 24 hours apart to hopefully avoid/reduce stress. Then I'll leave the bottom part to grow another week or so. With a plant this tall and lanky, there is a real difference in maturity of buds. Plus my lights are weak af. Not sure how I'll get the temps down in the 60-70 degree range for for TWO separate drying periods, but we'll try. (I'm cold-natured & would have to run the AC 24/7 since it's still warm & muggy here, and that gets expensive. But I'll also have my ceiling & oscillating fans, some baking soda to absorb moisture & windows to open on cool nights. Gotta keep the temp AND humidity in the right range! I looked at her the morning after applying a small amount of potassium humates & noticed a bunch of brown rusty spots on the upper sugar leaves. So I cut them off. Would be curious to know what it most likely is though. Also found a dead bug on her. Little black thing with wings... looks like he died happy lol. 10/29/25: Ice flush + stem-splitting initiated. Next is 24 hours of light before adding more ice (half as much, if that) plus 36 hours in the dark before (partial) harvest. Landlord scare this morning had me scrambling to hide everything! Hence the bent cola on top--she wore the black garbage bag "hat" again lol. No bottle/chemical nutes so this isn't technically a "flush" in every sense... more of an end-of-life stressor/imitation of outdoor conditions (if we weren't frying due to climate change, heh). Hoping this staggered harvest thing works out. I wouldn't likely be doing it if not for the time crunch & fact that I need to whittle this plant down to a more manageable size. Next few days should be eventful, check back. 😉

01/27/2022 Got a couple stragglers in cups but working on getting more pots. I apologize for rough looking leaves on the plants, I've been spraying neem oil as a preventative, and to also boost immune responses I've been doing aspirin in water regime so leaves can get beaten up being scavenged for extra energy. (to fight a non existing threat) At least in my experiences. 02/02/2022 Potted up a Lemon OG into ? gallon self watering pot will top dress with Coast of Maine 5-2-4 and water in for first week or two, then to 12-12 for her

So they’re still stretching, I thought they were slowing down a couple days ago, but then I walked in today and realised shit, they’re still going, must have grown another 3 inches since yesterday. They have almost filled out the whole 6x4ft space, a little space by the door and in the corners, the floor is looking well shaded which I am happy about, as that means I am not wasting too many photons. I have an maybe another 10/15cm of spare vertical capacity before I’m going to have to start some emergency super-cropping. Starting to get a little anxious I still haven’t changed out the reservoir from 16 days ago, although my top ups have been the same composition as noted above. I think I will drain her out tomorrow which has a drastically lower ratio of nitrogen. I have to say, this Botanicare range is incredibly stable and forgiving once you get past mid veg. As for the genetics, she knows how to grow without little fuss. Maybe I have been very lucky, time will tell once I finish my next grow with a different strain. The plant at the back of the room is a little squat compared to the other two but maybe she will catch up. Waffled on a bit here, thanks for stopping by, have fun all!

The girls are thirsty this week even if the climate hasn't change that much. 13L/Day is the same amount of water needed during the stretch phase. Nice colorations has started to shows up on phenos 3 and 5. To be continued... 😎

Week 10 – Ready for the final stretch Most of the pistils have turned brown, with only a few white hairs remaining – a clear sign that harvest is approaching fast. The buds have bulked up nicely, becoming denser and stickier, covered in a frosty layer of trichomes. The aroma has intensified, leaning towards a sweet, fruity profile, likely enhanced by the Bud Candy. The foliage looks healthy, and I performed a light defoliation to improve airflow. At the beginning of the week, the plant received its final feeding: a mix of Green Sensation and Bud Candy in 2 liters of distilled water. That was followed by a dose of Flawless Finish. From now on, only pH-adjusted water will be used until harvest.
