Buds have fattened up nicely.

Killed some black ants…they tried to take over a few of the branches of my cherry pie. I cannot use any name oil spray. I would have to sprinkle with some by diatomaceous earth around the pots. Everything else is looking good with this girl.

I was going to install a second trellis net, but decided to just use the single net and do some HST on her to keep her canopy opened up. 6/13- I gave the Wedding Cheesecake FF a good watering today at sundown via the garden hose with straight well water. I am planning on top dressing her in roughly 7-10 days from now with a blend of 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 along with some worm castings in anticipation of the start of flowering in the near future. 6/16- I watered today and also did a little canopy maintence, removing some leaves that were old and yellowing, along with some small shoots that would have only produced small larfy buds. There's another week chalked up and it won't be long until this lady begins pre-flowering which will mark the start of the real excitement! Another 8 days have gone by and they still love it. Done some more defoliating and treated with nematodes due to fungusgnat population got to big. Should be a smooth ride from here on.

Beautiful transition into flower, will strip and lollipop next week. And start the heavy PK feeding also. Done nothing all week, apart from watering.

12 weeks / 84 days old today. So my first grow journey is coming to an end! Not a lot to report this week. Been using my jewellers loupe daily to keep an eye on the trichomes and can definitely see a big difference. (Sorry, pictures are crap - don’t have enough hands to get a good one!) Still watering with plain water but they’re taking a lot less and only been watered every 4 days or so. Sticky orange has lots of cloudy trichomes and starting to get a few Amber. Her leaves are drying off so she is getting harvested before the weekend. Purple skunk is a bit behind so I think I will wait and see how she goes for another week or so. I always thought she’d be the one to finish first too. I think I will be drying in the garage. We are consistently getting 18 degrees outside now but with the temperature drops at night, I am not sure whether to bring the buds inside overnight. I’ll be drying in a hanging ‘herb’ dryer and I have my curing jars all labelled and ready to go. Thinking of wet trimming roughly then going in for a final dry trim later once dry to neaten them up. Drying advice welcome! I did think I’d have to harvest in stages and chop the lower buds later on. But even the bottom buds look like they’ve caught up this week. I have honestly enjoyed every second of this grow and I’m almost disappointed it’s nearly finished. But at the same time, I can not wait to see (and taste) the final result!

Everything seems to be going well a little too close together but nothing major need to do a small amount of defoliation this next week but nothing major as I don't want to hurt the growth. any suggestions always welcome. 21 days! The GWK cross is really going for it, really really happy that I did not ditch it of it stretched way to much as a seedling. The HBSS cross on the other hand is still super bushy, very healthy but bushy, not what I am looking for in a plant but it is what it is. Did not see any deficiencies or nutrient burn, guess I am hitting it spot on. Had to bend down the GWK cross so that the lower shoots got more time to reach upwards. Overall a very good week, even with the summer heat all goes just fine. Values are average of the day. This update is coming only a few days after my previous one as I delayed that one by a few days, now we are back on schedule. The girls are continuing to pump out resin, and the buds are slowly gaining more weight however they’re still pretty small. I have faith they will bulk some more before I harvest next week, crossing my fingers. Harvesting next Wednesday, really hoping to see the pistils get closer to 50% amber at least. Since I am having to harvest early, I have made the executive decision to not flush and continue with nutes all the way till chop. I would prefer them to continue to bulk as much as possible and I don’t see much of a reason to flush a plant that isn’t fully mature yet. I also read that people don’t actually notice very much of a difference from flushed and not flushed weed, so take that flushers! Jk, I would actually flush if I had the time :,(

i waiting to amber trichomes

First pistils came through this week! Switched the 'bloom' switch on the light to double LED count and add the red to the spectrum. Defoliated lower growth again on day 45 before noticing the pistil 48 hours later. Spotted a nutrient burn, and that I haven't been watering until enough runoff so possible nute/salt buildup? I also realised the plant was drooping before feeding so going to increase feed volume to keep the coco more moist. A nice amount of main colas considering her rough childhood. Fed no nutrients from day 47-49, just feeding 5.8pH water to reduce salt content. Water was 60PPM at 5.8pH and after 8L still got 500PPM runoff. Definitely need to change feeding method.
