What a beautiful strain Orange Hill Special is, nice and bushy, great internodal spacing, sturdy and healthy. Happier and happier with how this grow is going. The less beautiful parts on top are my doing, my blind as a bat FIM destroyed half the top of the plant. More patience next time... The super soil is still performing great and I´m pushing up the dimmer to get the ladies used to more light, very carefully because leaves are folding every time. Some of you might be happy to find my European recipe/shopping list for super soil. I tried to make it with widely offered products throughout Europe. Feel free to use it and elaborate on it. If one product is not available in your country, please check the brands at the bottom, which might be available in your country, and substitute. The only thing one could add to the recipe (which I did but forgot in the shopping list) is some Epsom salt. Fed them again with my permaculture tea, all seem to flourish and smells are starting to come from the plant, with that same distinct dankiness I had in earlier grows with this tea. See the germination page and other diaries for more info on my Perma tea. Now they were big enough, some might even say too big, to start the real training. I always love to give them a little bend the week before, to get used to the idea. With some sterilized bamboo sticks I pushed the plants down to expose their sexy undersides. Yes, the dream come true! Let's explain before harvest: The one transplanted it's the more advanced one in the flowering (harvest probably end of this week). She had just one topping and grew up very nicely, the buds are stinky but could be fatter (my light it's not enough i guess). 😏 The bonsai one I broke her without wanting to, but she survived and looks the bigger top cola it's from her. I really pissed her off but she respond with strength (a lot). So she had the worst LST you can imagine (lol) and also 2 supercroppings, it looks like this only made her stronger! 😎 The 2 toppings looks like she liked the fight too. With 2 toppings she looks like the one with fatter buds, with 6 colas. 😍 The untouched had been touch, one supercropping on her and that's it, she didn't grow like the others and looks like the youngest into the flowering. Conclusion: I'm loving this shit for real! As I see, you can stress your plant if you know what you're doing (even if not perfectly, like me). On my understanding, they're just like us humans, it needs some hard times and stress to evolve even more yall know!? The untouched it's the smaller, the bonsai grew up like bamboo and the other two (1 topping and 2 topping) grew like sisters and with beautiful colas! 👻😁

Hello all and welcome to the much anticipated beginning of vegetation for these five Epsilon F1 Autos from Royal Queen Seeds. Allow me to introduce Ally, Normani, Lauren, Dinah, and Camila. All five girls have pushed put their 2nd node (3 fingers) and node 3 is on the way out. I expect all five girls to take off from here, and so the next seven days are going to be big. I will start fertigation today. For comparison purposes the Day 1 here means Day 1 of veg. For Ally, Normani, and Lauren this is day 11 since breaking ground, for Dinah day 10, and for Camila it is day 9. For the rest of this grow I will increment days from here but it's really easy to work out days since breaking ground as it is a simple matter of day + 10, 9, or 8 respectively. Day 1: Fertigated 2l. Day 2: Right ok. Can you actually believe this response in 24h? The poor girls were STARVING. Wow look at the change in color! Wow look at the growth!! Ally is most advanced, Camila least. It is fascinating so see them develop! They are growing faster and faster now. So let us talk about the elephant in the room a little bit. Phenotypes. At the moment there is absolutely no evidence to suggest that this crop will be anything other than uniform. Nevertheless there are some clear differences in some of the girls. So let's have a look shall we: Ally (center), Normani (closest to the middle purple basil), and Lauren (opposite side to Normani): These three girls are not quite identical, but it is a pretty challenging game of spot the difference. Dinah: Okay so Dinah is coming in noticeably darker than her sisters, with a little more tendency to claw, and with quite a bit larger and more angular serrations. Her first leaves are also a different shape. Camila: Little Camila had a twin, but I killed her with some overzealous tweezing before I realised what I had. She came in with only one cotyledon, and she came in last. Her first leaves are quite different to the rest of Fifth Harmony. She is also showing slighty more narrow leaves. She is lastly also very slightly more pale than her sisters. Are these phenotype differences? I mean in terms of the environment, feeding, watering, substrate, temperature, light, airflow... well these girls are all in the same pot, so unless I am particularly haphazard in my mixing and fertigation (which I can assure you I am not) I do not think it likely that these ladies have significant enough environmental difference to account for these quite clear visual differences. I am absolutely fascinated to continue to witness this, and it has only now occurred to me what a great privilege it is to be able to grow the world first F1 cannabis hybrids, and what an astounding honor to be one of the very first hobby growers to do so! The fact that RQS made this happen by not only supplying the seeds and other merch and goodies, but also sending expedited international shipping so as to fit within my arbitrary timescales is almost unbelievable. When these guys (on their website) say that it is their belief and mission to forge the path to worldwide legalisation, they are not hollow corporate whispers, it is their core of being. Cannabis everywhere is truly blessed to have such a worthy and proactive ambassador. Bravo RQS! I have adjusted the timer such that the main tent is now getting 20/4 upped from 18/6. After monitoring DLI at 18/6 for a week I am unhappy with the overall level but because of the varying heights of the plants I am limited in what I can do in adjusting the light height. Some areas were only getting 20 DLI. So I have rearranged to have the taller plants on the edges and the lowest in the middle and doing it this way all plants are getting between 35 and 50 DLI at 20/4 - although one or two cola tips here and there are getting 55. Will monitor for a week. Day 3: Well look at this growth again!! These ladies have responded to feeding really well. Fertigated 3l. Day 4: Growth is accelerating fast, these ladies will be ready for their first training soon. I am starting to formulate an idea what to do. I am thinking of topping Ally and LST on the rest. Day 6: Fertigated 3l. Ladies growing fast now. Will soon be time to start training. However! The secondary nodes are developing strongly. Hmmm Day 7: Fertigated 3l. Defoliated the three fingered leaves from Ally and tucked the five fingered under other plants. End if week summary: Well when they said "hybrid vigour" they were not joking. Look at day 1 and day 7 side by side after approx 6 days into veg growth. Wow.

The phenotype named "Amnesia" was harvested at day 66. She was the smaller of the two, though she was frosty like no other. The phenotype named "Gold" is much larger in both plant and bud structure. She will go on for at least another week in hope of her frosting up some more. The buds are equally dense, but nonetheless there is quite the variation within this 5-pack of seeds. They seem more like cousins than sisters. But I am just a newbie, and this is my first grow, so take it with a grain of salt. Also: This week I started adding a few hours of UVB every day (just a 25w bulb for reptiles)

Well what a week lol. Noticed brown spots and yellowing of leaves on lower branches, progressively got worse and higher up the plant. Repotted to a bigger 5 gallon fabric smart pot at the end of week prior to flushing plant. Added in some Dutch Treat soil. Finally got my digital pH and TDS meter. As I suspected, high ppm and low pH in the run off. Had to flush plant with 20L of 6.8 pH water over the weekend slowly. Suspected nutrient over feeding (1840ppm) causing low soil pH (5.34pH) and nutrient lockout. Got levels to 6.25pH and 814ppm. Carefully fluffed soil to help dry out faster. Reduced light to 80% to let plant recover over the next few days. Will start with just water at 6.8pH and resume feeding after at 50% depending how things look and ppm runoff readings. Overall the plant looks decent for all things considered and just got the SF-1000 grow light last week. Was just using 2 Amazon basic LEDs before from seed. Dozen or so node sites with new growth, FIM'D last week and now seeing 4 new nodes with new growth on top and FIM'd a few outer nodes on the branches that were ready. Hopefully with better monitoring of feeding and pH levels will be ready to flip to flower in a week or two. I want the plant to develop to good size before flowering. Starting with poor lighting and this week of Nutrient lock out has stunted growth speed, still good size for age, just need to correct lock out and low soil pH

So This week was the same as the last really, It seems all I have to do is sit back and watch these ladies do their thing! Ive not gone full on with the bloom supplements or PK yet as only 2/5 of the GG are seriously flowering. The other 3/5 GG are now Finally showing some signs of flower and some tops are starting to build and lowers producing more pistils each day! The Stardawgs continue to explode, even some friends who were sceptical about the performance of the Quantum board LED's have been flow away by the results. All of the buds seem to be building dramatically top to bottom which no shortage of frost! Macro shots on the way!!

The girls are doing well they took 64oz each on the last watering and I will continue to increase as we go along. I am very pleased with the progress so far and have my fingers crossed that it will continue 👍☮️

Hello people week # 8 at the start. I fertilize 3 more times this week with a liter of water (6.5ph). Hope this week she finally develops the colas a bit. I had a little mildew problem last week, but defoliation resolved the issue. It fits perfectly into the season from the look hope dan to get good gifts. Therefore I will start my flush in week 9. Den Pflanzen ging es soweit gut. Hatte bemerkt das der wachstum langsam voranging. Ich konntrolierte den EC im Drain. Der war viel zu hoch für die jetzige Vegi Zeit. Das Substrat wurde dann durchgespült und auf den gewünschten PH&EC Wert gebracht. Es wurde noch Substrat leicht nachgefüllt und leicht gedüngt. Durch das Spülen, hingen die Blätter etwas runter. Die Pflanze hat sich mittlerweile erholt. Substrat ist eindeutig noch zu feucht um neu zu Düngen.

Something tried to nibble on Plant B, however there are no signs of pests and no further damage anywhere else (I have 6 other plants in the garden too). Plant A has already begun to develop stipules on its first set of true leaves too! Had their first feed on day 14 (2ml Fish Mix + 0.1ml Mono-silicic Acid), and were fed again on day 16 (2ml Fish Mix, 2ml Bio-Grow, 2ml Bio-Bloom, 0.1ml Mono-Silicic Acid).
