🌱 Weekly Report: Week 16 Flower – Gorilla Melon Highlights 🌱
Room Dynamics and Challenges
This week marked a pivotal phase as we approached harvest. The decision to harvest Gorilla Melon in two stages allowed us to navigate a potential mold issue effectively. The mold was confined to select areas of dense colas, which were promptly removed to protect the rest of the plant. This experience reinforces the importance of keen observation, especially in the final weeks.

Day 38: All very healthy and well, I said I wouldn't be doing any topping this round and i haven't.
Been doing a lot of LST/Bending (haven't used any ties as i dont want holes or marks on my rdwc system buckets) but if anything else im challenging myself. As you can see, plants look quiet bald after defoliation but definitely bounce back better if done right.
Opening up the plant so its more bushy and exposing potential bud sites, not rocket science just basic logic. Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe during this time.

Partially drained the tank at the start of the week and topped up with ro water and 1ml of final solution per Litre. Last 2.5 days were in darkness.
I trimmed the majority of fan leaves before hanging up to dry in the tent today. Started out trimming with the plants in the tent and soon realised it would be much easier to just cut them down whole, hang them upside down outside the tent and trim them up a bit.
I have a small dehumidifier and a small fan heater setup in the tent and they have been keeping a humidity level of about 60% and a temp of 16 Celsius for the last few days while the lights have been off. I figure that's a good starting point for drying and I can increase the temperature if needed, that will drop the humidity also.
Intake fan at the bottom and extract fan at the top are running constantly as they have been since the grow started (low power 4" fans).
I might add back in a fan for circulation depending on how the drying goes, or maybe even trim or hang the plants better to get more airflow around the buds

So far so good! Everything is moving along nicely, halfway through week 7 and we are starting to see the first signs of them slowing down, got a few red hairs now and things look like we might see a harvest at week 9-10 I’m thinking. Hopefully be a couple pounds in here this time...lol it’s looking promising anyway, we are on day 45...ish and these girls are packin on the buds and if we push them to 10 weeks we still got another 25 days for them to grow and develop. There all starting to show signs of pk deficiency’s now, I upped the nutrient dose slightly but still progressing slowly through the older leaves. Plants are also nearing there end of life so they are expected to do this. I’ve been trying to go the “less is more” method with this tent this time as I always tend to push them hard nutrient wise, and this time I wanted to see what I got doing the opposite and giving them just what they need and not to much, seems to be going good so far anyway, we will see in a few weeks time I guess. Did some supercropping on #1, Fimmed #4 she showing pre-flowers.
( #1,#2,#3) Not showing pre-flowers. #4 Fimmed because she gets stretchy 2-3 times veg height in my own experience.

WEEK 3 (Day15 - 21)
The plants are growing well so far. One of the plants germinated four days later, which explains the difference in size.
They are receiving plenty of light as they share a tent with older plants. Therefore, I always try to place them in areas with less light intensity.
Otherwise, I am planning to top the plants this week.

Start of week 3 blueberry is flowering and the stretch is almost over. The seedlings are growing nicely.the box got up to 100f this week during mini heat wave had to put ice blocks in rez to lower temp down from 80f. I look forward to the 3 other new strains I’m running. My GSC seedling is looking a little pale I should have waited longer to change rez over to bloom nutes. I have top dressed some organic fertilizer near drip line of nutes 4-6-4 one month release. I applied to all seedlings except blueberry. I reduced blumat on gsc, ww, and ch until surface dried a little bit as my gsc was showing signs of overwatering. Gsc is starting to green back up. My bb had to nanners i plucked them I hope these are all. It could be from the high temps or the one night I had a light leak. BB larger plant receving 1000 ppfd.i turn light back down a notch Gsc leaves started cupping now she’s getting just 550 along with other seedlings.will continue to monitor for improvement and ramp lights up a little later if needed as plants should grow into light.

Grow Journal – Week 4
Week 4 of veg. After last week’s transplant, the plant is showing its first signs of recovery: a new set of leaves is forming, which suggests it has likely adapted well to its new substrate. I had kept the dome closed until now, but slightly opened it to lower humidity, and the plant seems to be responding well to the change.
Inside the grow box, humidity stays between 50 and 55%, with temperatures ranging from 25 to 30 degrees Celsius. Higher peaks are expected next week, which may make it harder to keep the climate stable, already a bit inconsistent at the moment.
For feeding, I’m continuing with the Athena line. Current doses are:
• Athena Grow A: 1.5 ml/L
• Athena Grow B: 1.5 ml/L
• Athena CalMag: 1.2 ml/L
• Athena Cleanse: 1 ml/L
EC is holding at around 1.3–1.4, with a target pH between 5.8 and 6. I’ve noticed a few pH drops this week, possibly due to working with small 5 L volumes.
The main highlight for this week is the visible vegetative growth recovery, an encouraging sign for what’s ahead. The goal now is to keep monitoring closely, especially with the upcoming temperature fluctuations, to keep the plant in the best possible conditions.

Due to the tiny growth of this plant I haven't been keeping up to date with its diary. Photos have been taken throughout the process and I do plan on updating it eventually. I'm hoping that the quality of smoke turns my opinion around on this strain as I have had to turn to humor to deal with the absence of growth... But shes a perfect mini Christmas tree and boy does she smell good!!

Veg day 39 week 6. These plants were mainlined to produce 12 to 14 colas ( branches) , completed last round of topping.
They are now free to start growing upwards. They have developed really strong thick branching due to pinching the stems, H.S.T.
Have done my share of damage to them, getting a little bit rough with some of the branching, splits & breaks in stems.
Although they are very hardy plants & don't seem to be affected by it to much & it also helps to strengthen stems & branches to support the weight of BIG DENSE BUDS, & also aids in the increase of nutrients being delivered to your plants because it also increases the size of the Nutrient highway! (The hollow inner middle of the branches gets bigger allowing the uptake of more nutrients and water.

Week 10: 20/4 light schedule, 150 mp water per plant 2x, no fertilization anymore. Day 65: Next week Tueasday/beggining week 11/ we need to harvest because they will come from the council to check the house😂 Well, the previous one finished in 69 days, but I think they won't be properly ready by next week. I tried it and made me high anyways. I would give at least 2 weeks more to be done. Tomorrow I will check the trichomes with magnifying glass. They are beautiful stinky girls. Flowers are getting thicker and pistils are getting brownish. Day 66: I checked the trichomes with magnifying glass and it will be ready by next Tuesday. 7 days left with this day. They are beautiful just check in the video (Day 66).
Day 67: It is crazy the last 3 days was so hot here in London. Today was 38 degrees!!!!!! Poor plants even with ventilation it goes up to 30-31 degrees. Well, it is alright because direct ventilation goes on so they won't be cooked. 😓😛 Day 70: It is the last day when they receive water and they just get once and half of the daily intake. 2 days before harvest I will not water them. Harvest day is on Tuesday 30th of July when they are 72 days old. I have checked the trichomes all good they are matured nicely cloudy so now it is very strong. They are very stinky girls 😋 Day 71: No more water for them..... Tomorrow is harvest day!!!!!😋

The mystery strain has officially started to flower . Crazy she’s flowering before the Fucking incredible auto . Another reason why I think that strain is really a photo.

Ну вот и закончился наш короткий путь выращивания сатива-доминантного сорта. К сожалению, размер бокса не позволил полноценно включить лампу, так как растение сильно вытянулось и стало получать световые ожоги, плюс еще сыграл недостаток кальция. Изначально хотел 8 больших, толстых и симметричных колл, но пришлось гнуть дополнительно. На фотографии видно, что все ветки закручены по спирали - это пытался решить проблему сильно низкого освещения. Давно не растил сативный сорт и забыл, что в начале цветения растение ну очень сильно вытягивается. В итоге, из-за LST во время цветения, нижние этажи тоже вытянулись и вместо 8 колл получилось в 3 раза больше. Все-таки мне мой метод больше нравится, чем ML, так как времени уходить меньше, стресса меньше, а результат такой же.
Снял 607 грамм больших веток и около 100 грам всякой мелочевки.
Немножечко пересушил. Так бы вышло грамм 200 чистых шишек. Придется чуток их увлажнить.
Вцелом очень доволен собой и результатом.

Still not given any food at 35 days since popping. She's growing well and I've put her in a 4ltr pot.
I've pinched the top out to slow down the vertical growth.

Start of week 2 of flowering. Week 1 went well, but she showed signs of deficiencies and as such she got an extra 2 liters of nutes + water. Shit ton of bud sites on this girl!
