Days 78-84 - Been lax in updates, but I still log every week to completion. Back injury in addition to The Nineteen, Rona Style, has been a bit of a pain in the posterior. (That means ass) Plants are gigantic and sassy. Had Dangergirl come out and defoliate/lollipop the bottoms out of the girls, saving me painful labor and increasing my yields, so yay for her! Plants are happy, pompoms are getting thick, and everything looks good. Switched FF01 to flower on day 84.

Noticed some more pink/purple stems on the plants and decided to increase the phosphorus content in the feed by mixing in half grow and half bloom from the nutrient lineup. I'd use the PK booster I have but its to high in K for my liking. The entire lineup is very high in K. mixing grow and bloom gives a NPK ratio of 7-7-14 then done 1:1 equal parts. Grow=8-4-15 Bloom=6-10-14 Boost=1-15-30 Run off was a bit high for my liking but only seeing minimal signs of nutrient burn. Still watering once with feed and runoff and then later in the week with water and no/little runoff for my watering cycle.The number in the nutrient section are wrong but the EC and ratio are correct. Also impressed the roots have started popping out the bottom of the container already after only being transplanted for a week. Good root growth on these ones. Lights doing well. The V1 spectrum is good on the medic grow mini sun-2's 240w. No issues so far, dimmed at 80% . D22. First day of the fourth week, one week away from the automatic flower switch. Strong grow, 28cm high and more than 30cm spread, they made 10cm stretch the last three days since last watering on day 19, today the leafs were pointing down and the digital tensiometer was measuring 71mbar in the bottom of the pots. Today I watered again, this time instead of the usual 500ml each I went closer to 5% of the pots giving em 1L each pH to 6.0 and kept EC in 0.9 from base of 0.4 cal-mag, used biobizz grow, hygrozyme 1ml/L and bactohemp, lowered pH with phosphoric acid. I'll start to LST anytime but today I just cut off everything in the first floor to clear the base since it's already in complete shadow. Next step will be to guide them in order to achieve a flat canopy. The lazy plant is getting stronger everyday but leaf color is diferent than their sisters being same strain, will see how she end up next weeks 💪 D25. At three days from fifth week and official flower switch they keep growing strong like 35 to 40cm high and 35 to 40cm spread but after some leaf anomalies and after watering yesterday I saw something weird in the yellow sticky traps, they were full of black pigment and after check em under microscope they seem to be thrip infestation that I gonna treat with foliar phyretrine and neem oil on the soil but meanwhile I put four more sticky traps. On yesterday watering I made leaf juice mixed with cal-mag, fertilizer, bactohemp and hygrozyme, the reaction when aerating the mix was huge! I got the lazy plant higher to be able to receive similar DLI as her sisters but it still keep growing lazier than the others. I hope the fertilizers arrive in time before flower switch!

Hi everyone this last few weeks have been crazy as you all can see this Gelato turned out to be a Photoperiodic plant. Week 17 in to flower for 2 weeks now. All was going well but I did not have much time to look after it. And got some light burn in the early stages did some training techniques and She looks is recovering now. Some nice pictures how big one of those can get when I wasn't expecting this plant to be a Photoperiodic. But let's see she turned out a female so that's great will be a nice surprise probably. Y empezamos la segunda semana de vegetación con algunos ajustes y alguna que otra duda, he corregido la altura de la iluminación hasta los 80 cm para no pasarme de lux con la ayuda del luxómetro, y así usar los dos focos de 150w para conseguir tener unos 20000 lux constantes. Después de 12 días desde el inicio de la fase vegetativa las plantas tienen el siguiente tamaño: #1 - 13cm #2 - 12cm #3 - 10cm #4 - 12cm #5 - 13cm

After many weeks believing that I have mites in my cultivation, I start to believe that my real problem is my soil. Apparently my soil still has decomposing material and it has affected the leaves. Waiting the flowering goes and how will plant react of it. I hope it not serious thing. My leaves problem look like excess of nutrient in soil formulation. On this week I turn lights on. Now there will be 360W full power to flowering stage.

I'm really excited for her to finish..this is slowly becoming my favorite strain.. it's sativa dom but feels like a knock out indica (my ideal smoke)

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. Penultima semana de FLoracion, ya comenzaremos con el lavado de raices, se siente bastante el olor que emana de las plantas. Pero este olor es mas a fruta, olores dulces bien marcados, el olor me recuerda mucho al mango
