Nuevo cultivo, volví a plantar Jamaican Dream, está vez solo se hará LST y defoliación, nada de apical(Main Lining). Se ha aprendido de errores y atrasos del cultivo anterior, esperando no cometerlos en este cultivo. Para este cultivo de usarán los nutrientes de la línea Grotek(mega pack), además de micorrizas great white. Las semillas germinaron al tercer día de plantadas en el sustrato, al igual que el cultivo anterior. Esperaré a que crezcan hasta unos 3 nodos para hacer transplante a maceteros definitivos de 18 litros. Germ2, han estirado suficiente para remover el plástico, se regaron con agua de osmosis con CalMag a 0.6 EC y pH 6.5, se espolvoreó great white en el sustrato. Se instalo un humidificador en el indoor y se bajó a un 70-80% la potencia del LED. Germ3, se mantienen en 80% de humedad a 23 grados, se humedece el sustrato. Germ6, están creciendo al ritmo esperado, se humedeció el sustrato, los parámetros están correctos. Germ8, primer riego con Vitamax Pro y SoloTek Grow de Grotek, 0.8 EC, y un poco de great white en polvo al sustrato. Creciendo bien.

The 2nd week was great for the plants. Specially Banana Purple Punch and Forbidden Runtz They stretched and grow without no problem. I'm excited for week 3. I LST them, I did some defoliation and they got fed with Goldleaf feterlizer and I added mycos chum and cal-mag to the mix. Let see how they do.

At week 13 of Pineapple express. It nearly to finish. I think her will ready to harvest in next week.

The thrips infection is gone but there’re still a lot of damaged leafs as you can see in the photos/videos, but the growth hasn’t slowed down which is good. Anyway after I did some research into the big bang strain I found out that the company that sells this strain recommends “flushing” for a few days every other week starting from day 16 of flowering. This is meant to speed up bud development and I think it really did something here as the buds got twice as big. But I didn’t exactly follow their recommendations as it calls for watering the plants with large amounts of water and letting the soil dry for a few days and I don’t feel comfortable with that, so I watered them every day but made sure the soil was dry.

In the begining, I had ph issues, but got it figured out and the plant grew like a champ. Over 6 foot just out of a 7 gallon pot. She grew very vine like and very much so is a sativa phenotype. When the buds started forming, they grew very long and lanky like and the buds drooped to the ground. I had to harvest earlier than I had wanted to but I should have done it before the rain hit buy even besides the little bits of mold, I found quite a few bud worms/caterpillars while trimming. I had to throw away quite a bit due to questionable mold and bud damage. Conclusion for my first outdoor grow, all in all was good I suppose. But next year, bigger pots or put in the ground. Defend against bugs even if I can't see them. And possibly even a greenhouse, which I had planned to do this year but never got around to it due to personal problem in life.

2024-06-22 Yesterday i had to Harvest them, weather was very bad . The are having tropical Climate in the raintime, very Humid and rainy, sometimes changes to cold and windy so very bad Season until now. They would have needed 7 days more to ripe perfect. But they started to mold. so i harvested them quickly, and sorted out all moldy stuff this is very sad. Buds are more open and supersticky. you can see with eyesight the loooong and dense Trichomes, iam going to add more Pics if they are cured and i add some Pics from the microscope. i give this Strain 8 from 10 Points for Outdoor Growing, because of their tendency to catch mold , despite the fct they were under a Roof, But yeah we had avery cold, rainy and humid Season i really like to grow them again, but indoors!!! because of their Juicyness

Hey huerteros pues asi va esta sativa dream que hoy hace su dia 46... y nos veas como esta desarollando! Seguimos aplicando LST ... para ir abriendo la planta y haciendo una buena estructura para cuando llegue la fase de floración!! De momento solo regamos con agua y cada 10-15 dias añadimos microbes! El sustrato es All mix de biobizz y ya viene prefertilizado asi que por nutrientes no sera y la planta asi lo demuestro con ese verde tan vivo! Thank you to everyone for following this journey! The results were nuts. Honestly, I would've been happy with 40g dry as this is my first grow. I DEFINITELY did not expect this outcome which is insane. This gives me so much confidence in my future grows and appreciation for the companies whose products I used. So, now to the point - Dry weight - Top class buds - 176g, smaller buds - 32g, larf/leaves/scissor hash - 26g. To sum up - 208g of product you can smoke and 26g that'll go to edibles. First grow, 2x2 tent, 100w light, three-part fertilizer and cal mag - that's insane, especially because I was expecting nothing more than 60g and like I mentioned, I would've been happy with 40g. I even thought my scale was broken or something went wrong, I still can't believe I pulled 208g of bud. It took 117 days from seed to smoke - that's disregarding the cure. Seed to flower in 42 days. Flower to harvest in 61 days. 14 days drying. Thank you to FastBuds, I've sent them an email about the grow with some questions and got a speedy reply with some pointers towards the end of the flower. Also, I don't have anything to compare this grow with but I had 0 issues with pests which I was really happy about. I didn't have to spray anything on the plants, didn't have a single bug inside the tent. They mention on the website that NL is a very resilient strain so that might've been because of this specific strain. Spiderfarmer light did amazing too - 208g of bud from 100w light!. General Hydroponics did way better than I expected - there's so many companies with multiple bottles of nutrients that expect you to spend ridiculous amounts of money on their products while I got crazy results with just 3 basic bottles. Cal and Mag by Canna worked with no complaints. Takeaways - seems like the runoff pH doesn't matter in coco - I could be wrong but I struggled with coco pH from the very beginning. Regardless, the outcome speaks for itself. Maybe the harvest would've been even better with an optimal pH but in this particular grow, I don't think it mattered much. Before starting this grow I've done A LOT of research and it looks like it most definitely paid off! I was panicking at first because of the slow growth. The plant also had some leaf deformities and the color wasn't as green as I've expected it to be. It was stressful at first, I think especially because I was constantly comparing my grow to someone else's. This specific LST method where I kept rotating the main stem clockwise every day or two paid off as well. The canopy was relatively even and new tops grew crazy fast. The only thing left to do is to cure the bud. I had two 1.5L containers ready for cure/storing since I didn't expect to pull much but had to go acquire a few more "big boys" to fit all the product in, which is a good problem to have. I don't think that I'll be updating the cure here but the plan is to burp 2x/day for 15-30min each time for the first week and 1x/day for 15-30min the second week. After the first couple of weeks I won't be timing the burps. As of now, I've placed boveda 62% packs inside the containers to maintain a RH of at least 58% in the jars. About the Northern Lights strain - the smell hasn't fully returned yet post trim, but it smells like sweet fruits with a hint of black pepper. You can still smell a bit of pine/grass but I think that'll be gone after the cure. Buds are covered with trichomes, they shine like diamonds when you take a better look. Also, the buds look a little airy but are still really dense when pressed. The smoke - It's a tasty, relaxing high. I get why people describe it as night time smoke but for me personally, it grounds me a bit and I can enjoy it anytime. Also, it burns white ash :)) P.S. This is a lengthy diary but I hope that people can learn some stuff from my notes shall they read them! Thanks to everyone that followed the journey, showed support or just browsed through. Final week of flower, plain old tap water in thr . Almost 70% milk, ambs here and there, fade progressing and surprisingly still swelling! I have a lot of larfy buds because I was lazy on the defol, so may do double harvest!

Day 55 - 18/11/19 i still think another 1-2 weeks for this one, getting a jewelers loupe for the beginning of week 9 so i can tell exactly where were at in terms of harvest :) anyone got any thoughts on this little plant? have a look at the photos and videos and let me know in the comments below :) oh and i finally nailed what this strains smell is - tropical hubba bubba gum with cheese :'D Day 59 - 22/11/19 Got my jewelers loupe 2 days ago and ive been having a look at them. its pretty hard to see for a newbie grower. ive looked at harvest guides online and seen pictures of clear, cloudy and amber trichomes. mine look mostly cloudy (60%) and slightly glassy (40%) with barely any ambers. i may be wrong but the reason i think its cloudy is that it looks white against the leaves instead of see through or like glass. so going on this for my first trichome inspection im gonna harvest in the middle of next week. Smell is getting strong enough to stink out a room, still that tropical cheese smell, although its just so pungent it lingers in the rooms after bringing it out of the tent to inspect it. smell isnt a problem if you put it back in the tent and spray some air freshener stuff in the next room. the carbon filter is doing its job exactly as described along with the fan. The fan leaves started to get yellow patches and sugar leaves starting to curl. and a friend thinks its nearing the end of its life. I flushed yesterday and will flush again today to drain out any excess salts and nutes. Thanks for following along. im excited for week 9! Happy Growing!

Looking and smelling fantastic Flush flush flush Around 40% Amber now

This was the last week of flowering and therefore I stopped giving any nutrients for a good FLUSH. This is very important in order to avoid a harsh smoke later when the plants are dried, because any nutrients left in the plant will burn your throat and the weed will hurt while you smoke it. Both Barbarian (=AK-47 x Barbara Bud) plants have developed well and carry hefty top buds on each side branch and also the main cola. The lower regions also carry buds, but those are a little more fluffy and not so big and dense as the top buds. Every bud is COVERED IN TRICHOMES and the plants glisten in the light, they are FROSTY AS HELL! The plants have a STRONG AROMA now, which is sweet and peachy with hints of sandalwood. They smell ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and I cant wait to try the dried end-product. All in all I can only recommend this strain, its not the biggest yielder, but definitely delivers connoisseur grade weed. Hats off to Mat from House of the Great Gardener in Canada, he has made another GREAT cross and I hope he will release this variety soon! 👍😍😎
