I have been using LST in the form of a fan on medium speed to try and strengthen the main stalk of the plant as well as planter rotation to strengthen the main stalk for tie down LST. So far I've been impressed with the rate of growth and the overall experiment. For what it's worth, the growth wth is very very similar to a hydroponics growth. I'm sure as the experiment continues I'll notice some big differences. It does appear to have either a minor potassium deficiency or a little too much nitrogen. Will monitor and update as needed. The above signs may have been trying to indicate the main stalk was weakening from too much weight from vertical grow rate. This would ultimately lead to a fractured stalk. Is this what happened or is it a fungus or disease problem? Plant C sprouted within 48hrs and will be 6 days behind Plant A. End goal of harvest is still 360g from the two plants combined. Both plants are looking very happy regardless of the toxicity or deficiency. Strong strain nonetheless.

On day 1 I did another light defoliation. The plants are progressing as expected. The only issue I'm dealing with is fungus gnats... ugh. I will keep applying BTI weekly until the population is under control. On day 3 the plants are putting out more pistils and seem to have stopped or slowed down their "stretch" phase. On day 4 I'm starting to see some trichomes forming on the sugar leaves, no smell that I can discern yet. I also changed out my reservoir and applied a BTI soil drench. On day 5 I adjusted the PH of my reservoir down to 6.1. I also purged my blumat system to make sure there are no clogs as my reservoir has fertilizer particles due to my water heater causing separation. I must keep the water heater on as I am growing in the northeast coming into the cold time of the year and can't have my reservoir freeze on me. On day 6 I adjusted the PH of my reservoir down to 6.1. On day 7 I adjusted PH in reservoir to 6.1.

Welcome to the Smoking Tiki's hut! I will grow 4 autoflowering from Fast Buds in front of a South-East oriented window. One year ago, I received the seeds and conserved them into my fridge door. Now, the "FBT2304" has become the "Pound Cake Auto". I started with 8 seeds (2 for each strain). They all germinated! For each strain, I took the seed with the bigger root and put it in its final 1,5l pot. I didn't find my usual soil at the store so I took a variant of it, let's see how it goes. It's also the first time I'm adding some Mycorrhizal Inoculant (fungi) from Dynomyco. I mixed 15g of Dynomyco with the soil for each plant. The "SUN" column in the weekly report is filled based on my daily electricity production.
