This week brought some challenges—I discovered thrips on the leaves of my plant. Thankfully, the infestation isn’t too severe yet, and I acted quickly to address the issue: 1. Sprayed the plant with plain water to knock off any pests. 2. Removed the top layer of soil. 3. Applied BioBizz Leaf Coat as a protective measure. I really hope this will help. After reading up on these nasty pests, I learned that they can completely devastate the leaves if left unchecked. Unfortunately, I have only myself to blame for their appearance. Due to the cold weather, I’ve been using a heater in the room with my growbox, which has caused the humidity to drop significantly. It sometimes dips as low as 30%, and it rarely goes above 50%. Most of the time, the humidity hovers around 35-40%, which is an ideal breeding ground for thrips. To answer the obvious question—yes, I do have a humidifier. However, my growbox has a very powerful exhaust fan (315 m³/h for an 80x80 space), so the air is refreshed too quickly for the humidifier to make a lasting difference. Aside from fighting thrips, I also made some adjustments to my grow this week. On Day 20, I did a little LST. Honestly, I wasn’t planning on using any training techniques in this grow, but I decided to give it a try anyway. One thing I can say for sure—I want to skip LST in my next grow. It’s quite inconvenient to water the plant when the leaves are practically touching the soil. Additionally, I defoliated the first two sets of leaves. I felt this was necessary to improve airflow around the plant and reduce the risk of pests spreading further. Watering: Day 17: 400 ml Day 20: 500 ml I’m keeping a close eye on the plant and hope to overcome these challenges successfully.

Me gustó y disfruté mucho viendo el desarrollo de esta planta, esta vez no quise entrenarla (LST, topping) para ver como se desarrollaba y la verdad no me decepcionó, quizás hubiera esperado más producción pero sin duda que la calidad de las flores vale totalmente la pena en desmedro del rendimiento. Flores compactas y poco aireadas completamente repleta de resina dulce y muy frutal. Totalmente recomendable para los que disfrutan de humos dulces, frutales, cremosos y con notas a frutos secos, ¡un lujo! The Afghani x Mac1 auto from DNA recovered well from the training and is in full bloom. Bud sites are looking great. Had an issue with humidity this week and the leaves started looking rough. She got a dose of Recharge this week and drinks about 8-12oz of water throughout each day. All in all she's trucking right along. Very happy with how smooth this solo cup grow is going.

Day 28 skipped watering. I don't know what she has. Are those spotes calcium deficiency? Day 29 1L water. 550ppfd 70% Day 30 skipped water, but tomorrow will water 1.5 topped the middle node to keep up with the rest. vpd ~0.8-1.1 kpa 580ppfd Day 31 0.5L water + 20 ml orgatrex + 1g bactrex vpd ~0.0-1.2 kpa 580 ppfd Day 32 1.2L water. Almost no drainage Day 33 skipped watering. snapped the first 2 trying to LST. But I kept them on I hope she will be healed Day 34 2L water.

I am starting a Runtz auto that I will be growing for the plagron eternity grow. I scuffed the seed, and dropped it in a cup of water. Everything is off to a normal start. Day 22 - 8/5 - I'm liking Plagron, I'm just going to stop checking ppms in or out from now on, just 5.8 ph for now. - 5.5" tall today! - So easy, just making a gallon every other day with the grow, some silica (if i want...no pressure here), and some cal mag...not in that order of course LOL. Loving this easy mix! Day 23 - 8/6 - No feed today, still on every 2 days - Lana got another tip of a leaf! OOPS AGAIN! - I went ahead and cut off the first 2 fan leaves and nodes. Day 24 - 8/7 - Gave her Gal of easy mixing today - 6" tall!!! Day 25 - 8/8 - 6.5" - No changes and No water today Day 26 - 8/9 - Noticed some cal mag deficiency, will adjust - Increased her cal mag to 3.5ml per gal (I had her on only 2ml/gal) - Lana has struck again! Bit off half of another leaf. Poor plant! Day 27 - 8/10 - 7" tall - No water Day 28 - 8/11 - Still 7" tall - 5.8ph still - She's starting to look a bit hungry too, will start to increase feed to full strength of the plagron next watering or two. **She's moving right along...no thanks to pretty girl Lana LOL. She loves to just sun bathe in the tent. She gives me a look and I can't say no to that little face!!! Who could?! I'm thinking about flipping her soon. There's this little voice in my head that keeps saying over and over "you should flip soon, you should flip soon" (cough, cough...spouse). We shall see though!

One down, 31 to go... Mass trimming: a labor of love 😅 – aka me with my dodgy skills and shaky hands, desperately trying not to murder each plant’s potential. Fingers crossed! 🌿✂️ Pre-flower defoliation always feels a bit heartbreaking and wasteful—after weeks in veg, it's hard to strip away so much growth. Still the technique I've taken longest to embrace. This strain produced a ton of nodes—way more than usual—but the main stem and bud branches are thick and solid, exactly what I wanted. Flipped to 12/12 and will gradually increase EC over the next 6 weeks into bloom.
