The heat wave has just passed, after 15 days of hell no serious problems to report, few burnt tips, some spots where the water has fallen on the leaves. My gorilla now shows a sativa-like leaf pattern. Huge plant, still stretching, cheesy flavor when rubbed. Stay safe Bros

Overall it was a good harvest, it could have been much better if I hadn't switched to the Cultivator Series line... But as soon as my order arrives I'll be back to Athena again 🙌

24/09 - D17 since pistills. Busy day today. Full res change, with nutes modified to transition to bloom for the next couple of days before I bump her to full dose bloom 3 weeks from pistills showing. Also did some heavy defoliation. Started chopping with the intent of taking a few, but concerns around humidty levels have been in the back of my mind for awhile and given I was all geared up in the tent anyway I went to town. Removed a couple of weaker branches that were interfering with other sites, and took a large amount of lengthy and inward facing leaves. Walked away and came back and the difference was quite shocking (first grow!), but she looks better for it. Flowers are now exposed to light, and areas where moisture can get trapped have been dramatically reduced if not eliminated. Hopefully she responds well to her new haircut. Also came across my guard spider while sweeping out some leaves that fell behind the res, not sure what hes eating in there, maybe he just likes the smell! EC: 1.27, PH 5.8. 25/09 - Managed to get humidity down to 55 after the defoiation and leaving the door of the tent open. She seems to be happy after her haircut. PH dropping slowly at 5.7, EC stable at 1.27, water dropping. 26/09 - Small spot of PM on one sugar and one fan leaf. Wiped clean with a wet tissue and trimmed off. Will spray with diluted milk mixture at lights out and keep my eyes open for further infection. Modified setup a bit to try and bring the humidty down further and increase air flow, but struggling to get it below 55% even with a humidifer in the tent and the fan ramped up to max. Going to do a res change with full bloom nutes tomorrow so as not to prolong this grow longer than needs be. 27/09 - Full Res change to bloom nutes. 35ml Micr, 6ml Grow, 45ml Bloom. No new spots of PM seen, continuing with minor trimming when I spot any touching leaves as a preventative. RH finally pulled down into the 40's, and then my fan broke. Time to buy a new one. 28/09 - PH stable at 5.8, EC at 1.27. Going to try and leave well alone from this point forward unless issues arise or I see damp spots forming. Humidty finally down to 40%. 29/09 - PH and EC dropping. Topped off res with 8l of water at 50%. 13ml Micro, 3ml Grow, 20ml Bloom. PH 6.0, EC 1.3ish. 30/09 - PH 5.8, EC 1.17. Continuing to trim a couple of leaves here and there when I spot an overlap or blockage and pinch off tiny bud shoots below the canopy.

So week 4 of flower has come to an end. I have finally started feeding full nutes with 50% N this morning. Plants seem to be handling it well. The double cola Malasaña in the back has an amazing bud structure, and such a heavy resin production on her, I really wish I had cloned her. I include 3 pictures of that one. Also, I tied down a bunch of taller colas so I could turn up my light to 100% with an even canopy. Buds have not been swelling much this week ! But with the reintroduction of feeding at a regular level I hope to see lots of progress in the coming weeks . Also I noticed substantially heavier trichome production on the plants nearest the UV light, might just be coincidence though. Well have to see the outcome of future grows during a monocrop .

Week 8 there hasn’t been any drastic changes for either of the girls. Girl #1 is looking better and better each day. Girl #2 is just being as stubborn as can be. Girl #2 still hasn’t showed any signs of flowering. I’m gonna continue to be patient with her she’s a very late bloomer. I can’t believe she’s been in veg for 8 weeks.I know some of you expert growers have experienced a long veg similar to my experience.Not sure if it’s good or bad luck just yet being my first run of autos. I have to admit. When i saw this week coming to The end and girl #2 wasn’t showing signs of flowering, I got down face to face with her quietly whispering (You better flower soon or it’s time for the trash can 😂😂) lol 😆 I had a weak moment was very frustrated. I thank all of you that have shared your information cause without it I would have been panicking. I’m gonna be patient and let the plant tell me when she’s ready. Everything has been running smoothly. I have given both girls light bloom nutrients. I have learned so much and it has been a pleasure watching the magic happen. Sep 14: starting the ninth week of flowering and getting close to the finish. Buds are still putting out new pistils and definitely packing on weight. Also cool nights lately so there is some purple and blue colour starting. This is one of my favourite all time grows, and possibly the best. Sep 15: she is definitely packing on weight and if there was no support the outer manifold branches would be collapsing. Every single day I’m amazed at the daily progress on this plant. Definitely this year’s star. Sep 17: still going. New flowers are still forming so she’ll be going a bit longer. I want her done by the end of September if possible. Not that I’m complaining about more flower growth it’s just the sun gets weak and then it often gets too cold by mid October. I want ripe buds and not stragglers. Sep 18: I was thinking to start harvesting this weekend but the flowers are still blooming so I’ll put it off at least another week. Sep 20: some rain overnight the last few day. I have shaken the branches to get off excess water, but I found two small patches of bud rot (identified by dead leaves) that were removed and I then harvested the nearby bud. 49 g wet bud now hanging. 24.09.25 due to the weather outlook and fear of a powdery mildew revival it was time to harvest. I wet trimmed everything down to the buds and discarted all stems right away. The reason being that I want to accelerated drying and see each nug closely before putting it into the multi tier drying screen im using. In this process some smalls with mildew were identified and sent to compost. After a week flowers were placed in closed plastic buckets to get even moisture content. Further processing awaits.

Very happy with how this lady has performed, amazing quality buds, very sticky and dense flower with a concrete smell that I love so much, which is that kind of fruity sweet flavor that this lady is able to produce, it's been a beautiful journey, I'm gonna enjoy a lot this flowers. Method 🎚️ Medium: 🥥🥥 We ran this one in an even parts soil, compost, coco and purlite mix. The hope was to minimize required nute feedings and maintenance. The addition of nute nuetral coco proved to be somewhat of a mistake and may have contributed to some unnecessary plant stress when she used up all the available natural nutes in the soil and compost. There simply wasn’t enough good stuff in the medium to see her happily through the cycle without extra supplementation. I’d do this again but leave out the coco and layer the compost at the bottom with minimal medium saturation and runoff in early/mid veg. This should achieve better results the next time round. She was entirely untrained and allowed to stretch to her highest height. A better yield definitely would’ve been derived with some topping/mainlining and training but regardless, her freak flag flew high and She went unnoticed by unwanted eyes. We won’t be able to grow high next year due to construction next door so this may be the last time I run a skyscraper outdoor in the rear yard. 1/5 volume emojis for method because there really wasn’t any training. 2/5 coconut emojis- not for the lack of training but due to the unsupportive medium amendments like the coco. Yield🌴🌴🌴 And now the part we all seem to measure with great expectation. The expectation in this case was to pull 9-12oz off this girl and we fell well short of that. For the reasons mentioned above as well as the fact that she was putting at least some of her efforts into seed production too. We spotted it pretty early on in flower and some stalks started showing signs of ball formation that every grower fears. I was really concerned she’d be a full on hermie but this didn’t happen and it seems it was just localized pollination. Probably due to an occasional, randy bumblebee that had come from elsewhere. It’s not all bad at all and we did pull a few seeds off of her that we’ll give a shot to in the future I think👍. Final yield - 7.18oz. I’m never going to complain about a quarter pound off a plant that needed almost no maintenance whatsoever👍. 3 palm tree emojis for not going full hermie and putting out enough of this magically intense bud to share with friends and family👍 Props As always, big shout-out thank you to GD for making this site accessible to us. We should come to a finish this week... oh the excitement. Can't wait to see WG without her leaves. Going to have to cut each branch and hang individually due to the density of its structure. Got this far, don't want to risk moldy weed.. damn I'm gonna get bored while drying/curing not having a plant or diary to occupy the time. Day 77- currently flushing the girls. GC isn't ready for it, but she isn't in charge here. She should have stuck with WG when she extended a helping hand. Since falling behind, WG has thrown up a peace sign to GC as to say "see ya sucker". It's my favorite bud by far on WG. Bitch has got an attitude 🤣. RES sitting at 87ppm @5.9. Yellowing has started.. going to have to check trics more often so I get that sweet spot I'm looking for. ======================================================================================================== Day 78- these girls are starting to stink! Come on WG... ripen up so we can get this over with.. lowered lights power a bit today. RES climbed from 87 to 137. Drained 2gal, added 2gal RO. down to 38ppm. Forgot to mention the ice probe has been unplugged for over a week now. Been putting a 3/4 full 1L frozen bottle in the RES to chill. Rotate out every 12hr with a fresh. At lights on, and 12hr later. Full bottle got Temps too low for my liking. ======================================================================================================== Day 79- tick tock.. tick tock.. come on WG.. she's showing a little fade on her leaves. Seeing more of a calcium difficiency on her fans than fading honestly. Trichomes taking their time ripening as well. I'm SURE this strain ambers up.. taking their time for me though.. dont know how long I feel comfy flushing hydro though.. I did notice a few exploded trichomes up top, which has me thinking I need to go ahead and chop within the next couple days. If I notice any more ruptured anywhere else I haven't poked it with the scope.. I'm hanging the bitch that night. May give her 24hr dark period, since I've tried some other bro-science and it seemed to help. *edit* felt bad starving WG and she's not more amber coated. Gave her a bit of nutrition tonight. GHE aggressive ripen. M-2.8mL/g G-2.8mL/g B-4.5ml/g and 5mL calmag (using RO). Came out high @ 867 so I pulled 2L and dumped 2L RO in. Sitting at 613 @ 5.9. ======================================================================================================== Day 80- well, the 3 days starving the girls kicked their metabolism back in gear. I want more amber before chop chop. They quit eating and were drinking MUCH less signaling the end. Was down to topping off once a day, maybe a liter to a liter and a half. Since feeding yesterday, they've started eating and drinking like they were on week 10 again. Topped off 3.5L in the last 16hrs. TDS dropping with water level, even more when topped off with straight RO. I'm not giving em any more nutes. Last push for some extra weight before the end. ALLOT more frosty today than yesterday as well. ======================================================================================================== Day 81- Started flushing again. Maybe starting their metabolism again will help ripen these trics. If not, they're getting chopped @ day 84. Don't want to let em go too long and regret it. I may have f'd em up feeding again after the 3 days starving. Time will tell ======================================================================================================== Day 83- still waiting... 💤 Going to order some bubble bags. Freezing all GC and trim/larf from WG for some bubble hash.
