A 4 hour planned power outage in my area gave me the excuse to flip the girls. Kept the lights off for a cycle then immediately went 12/12. Although the temperature dropped to a root freezing 58°F, the reservoir didn't have a chance to fluctuate much and I also kept my air pumps running for an extra hour and a half off my computer backup battery! The battle with root rot is basically over. I am taking care to rinse the roots every once and a while. Growth has been amazing! Loving DWC! It also gives me things to do as I lie to pay attention to my plants. Doing a thorough clean with H2O2 every res change. PPM is around 800-900. Drops fast now. Every two days I check PH and correct if necessary. Usually it's been around 6.2-6.3 when I check. I PH it back down to 5.8. I've heard that flowering is a little on the acidic side so I'm planning on dropping my PH to 5.5-5.6. Did a major defoliation after this diary entry. Will do another in three weeks. week was good I ran in to some problems got nutrient deficiency and some burnig on my leaves. But I fixed that by doing a nice good rinse of straight water and than fer them some good olnutes and back to good. Smell is strong and funky so strong I finally ordered a carbon filter. Tough going first few weeks going to look close on the postmortem for the roots and see if I can tell what was causing the issues with Phos, Ca, Mg lockouts. Foliar saved the day Was very disappointed in the germination rate which caused delays in grow cycle and threw off my whole grow system. It forced me into 7 gallon pots to try and save the yield and THAT may be where the issues arose with the pots, I had to use another bin of soil for the extra soil. Still I should have known better and just stuck with the 5 gallon pots but was trying to get yield. Worked too on Layla and Maggie, nothing was going to help the stunting on Brandy which I dropped from the grow. So 60% germination is not acceptable unless its tomatoes... Dont get me wrong though, this strain has a LOT of good qualities, it not only survived my foul up but produced one excellent plant and one monster out of the three that germed. May try it again next year, think it would be stellar in coco. Beyond that a quality product, just had issues. Week 7 – The Pest is Dead Found the source of the whiteflies – two infested CBD plants I’d placed in the tent. Removed them, and since then only a few flies on traps. Problem solved. Buds are swelling nicely with more trichomes and orange pistils. Some yellowing leaves toward the end of the week, likely natural fade. Watered twice with pH water and gave one light HESI feed (½ dose) on Sunday. Dimmed light from level 7 to 6; PPFD is ~800 top / ~550 lower. Everything’s on track!

Welcome to my Strawberry Cola Auto by Exotic Seeds Both SCA are nearly on the same track. I uprooted 1 and decided to put them both into 1 8L pot. As the plants grow i'll LST them 1 to 1 corner and 1 at the other end. Before they progress too much into their veg, the 8L of soil in an 18L pot. Without disturbing the soil as much as possible. I have something i put down the sides of the pot and upturn them bringing out the whole base of the substrate sides without the sub falling away from the sides, then they'll be transferred directly into an 18L pot. Lifting the sides up, and hopefully this will hinder any excess stress that you don't want to put on any auto as it'll most likely stunt them and hinder their possibility of giving a substantial harvest. Both seeds are on days 5-7. The 7 day old one was uprotted, so I expect a day or 2 stun, so they should be on or near the same growth rate. So far, I really like the way these autos are growing. I had fastbuds straw cola and tbh, I'm not a big fan of this flavour so, hopefully this strain will have something that charges my perspective. Week 8 for the OG Kush and blueberry. Week 6 on the feed schedule for the Super Lemon haze. Last week of feed for the OG's and blueberry. The OG's are super thick, sticky and stank so nice! The blueberry is very sticky, smell's nice but the buds are not as big as I expected them to be.
