Week 5 Veg Report: Croco Mutants A Quick Recap: The journey with my Terpyz Mutant Mentha de Croco girls has been a ride full of unique beauty and challenges. Here’s a quick look back at our progress: Week 1 (Germination): Using TheCannaKan, the seeds sprouted quickly in a controlled environment. They were then moved to Root Riots with nutrients from Aptus Holland, setting the stage for healthy development. Week 2: The first set of funky leaves began to emerge, showcasing the distinct and peculiar traits that make these mutants so special. Feeding started with Aptus Regulator, Startbooster, CalMag Boost, and All-in-One Liquid—a well-rounded blend to support their growth. Week 3: These funky beauties continued to amaze, displaying different leaf structures and growth patterns. The environment remained stable, and photos with my Nikon and Sony cameras captured their vibrant essence. Week 4: A dip in temperatures brought on slower growth, but the girls adapted well. Organic Aptus All-in-One Pellets were introduced into the soil mix for consistent nutrition, while bottom watering started to combat gnats. Week 5: Slow Growth, Unique Beauty This week has been all about patience, observation, and admiration. The mutants are growing at their own pace, but each plant’s unique beauty and dark green vibrance make it worth the wait. Environmental Update: Temperature: The cold has settled in further, with daytime temps at 18°C and nighttime dropping to 14°C. While slower growth is expected in these conditions, the plants are adapting and maintaining their health. Humidity: RH remains stable at 65%, providing just enough moisture to support their development without creating excess stress. Feeding & Watering: The same Aptus Holland nutrient solution is being used this week: Regulator (0.15 ml/L): Strengthens cell walls, helping the plants adapt to colder conditions and maintain their vigor. CalMag Boost (0.25 ml/L): Supplies essential calcium and magnesium for strong, healthy foliage. Startbooster (0.25 ml/L): Encourages root development and early-stage robustness. All-in-One Pellets : A complete nutrient solution providing the base nutrition these girls need already in the soil. Additionally, I’m continuing with bottom watering, where the trays are filled to let the soil absorb water passively. This has been effective in keeping gnats at bay, especially when combined with yellow sticky traps. Bottom watering also encourages the roots to grow downward, seeking moisture and building a stronger foundation. Growth Observations: Each plant remains a unique masterpiece: Leaves: The diversity of shapes, sizes, and structures is remarkable. From jagged edges to rounded tips, every plant tells its own story. Color: The deep, dark green is a testament to their health and the effectiveness of the Aptus feeding regimen. Despite slower growth, they’re thriving in their own way. Cloning or Flipping to 12/12: I’ve been debating whether to: Flip to 12/12 for a week to induce pre-flowering and identify males and females, or Take clones when they’re large enough and flip the clones instead. Each approach has its benefits: Flipping the plants: Speeds up the process of sex identification but temporarily halts vegetative growth. Cloning and flipping the clones: Preserves the original plants in veg while testing the clones for sex. This method is more time-consuming but allows the mother plants to continue growing. I’m leaning toward cloning when the plants reach the right size, as it seems the most practical for maintaining momentum with these unique mutants. Photography Update: This week, I brought out my Nikon and Sony cameras again, using different lenses to capture the intricate details of the plants. From close-ups of water droplets creating reflections to stunning macros of leaf textures, the results truly showcase their beauty. Why Use a Camera Over a Phone? Lens Flexibility: With interchangeable lenses, I can adjust for macro shots, wide angles, or depth of field, something even the best phone cameras can’t fully replicate. Detail and Clarity: DSLR and mirrorless cameras capture a higher dynamic range and more intricate details, elevating the visual storytelling. Moin 😎, Woche 11 ist vorbei und die Damen gehen so langsam in Rente. Und zumindest die Papaya sieht auch schon so aus. 👻 Ich reduziere jetzt schrittweise die Wasserzufuhr und die Lichtstärke. Hatte bis jetzt so um die 1000 PPFD in der Mitte und 850 an den Rändern und ich gehe zurück bis auf 600 PPFD in den nächsten 10 Tagen. Weiß nicht, ob sie noch viel länger brauchen werden. Trichome sind 70% milchig und 30% klar. Auf den Zuckerblättern schon das eine oder andere Bernsteinfarbene. Ich habe mir einen 150L Weinkühlschrank zugelegt (siehe Video) den versorge ich erstmal provisorisch mit einer Umluft und eventuell schon einer RH gesteuerten Abluft und dann werde ich Buds zum Testen schonmal reinlegen. Ich möchte Next Level Qualität und beim Grow kann ich kaum noch was rausholen. Jetzt muss die Trocknung optimiert werden. Als Tipp kann ich euch schonmal mitgeben, dass ihr am besten beim Trocknen einen VPD von 0.9kPa aufrecht erhaltet. Egal wie die Temperaturen erstmal sind. Week 8 This week i ´ve been defoliating the cookies and stopped to give them nuts after some signs of stress on leaves, they are curling up and get burn out on their tips, this is most visible on pot 1 who´s appearing to be a sativa pheno! On the other hand Pot 2 who appears to be more indica pheno are showing more resistance to nuts! I Just been feeding them with ph water and have increase the distance for the ligths, I dont relate the burns on my leaves from that but with the temperatures on outside changing so drastic and the entire grow been heated and sealed (in order to save some money on energy) i only opened the windows to refresh the air two or tree times this week for a couple of hours generaly at 12 oclock to dont have my temps changing from 22 degres to 8 degres 😱, not the best conditions and not my easiest grow but what can i say? You can look them an judge... to me they are fucking Hero´s... They became thirsty, suffered from insufficient air flow, suffered slight burns for 24 hours of continuous light from the seed until now and still suffered from excessive fertilization but the ladies didn't fall off their high heels 🙌

I love them. They’re very pretty and the aroma is really amazing for it’s stage. I have never seen such a nice purple before - cannot wait to try them. Just really keeping them on pure bloom feed from here on in.

7/5/25 plant is stretching. Not sure if its preflowering or just being outside in a bigger pot. Im just going to let her grow naturally and see how it turns out. I may end up with just one diary of each strain at the moment. But im also not sure whether im going to be doing indoor or outdoor based on personal circumstances.

Von links nach rechts: Sleepy Joe, Lava Cake, Runtz. 02. Mai 2025 Die Wurzeln sind jetzt sehr gut entwickelt. Seit dem Einschalten des Lüfters haben die drei gut 20l Wasser verbraucht. 😅 Sie wachsen so unglaublich schnell, dass sie in drei Tagen fast die LED berührt haben. Dadurch leichte Verbrennungen an den Spitzen der Lava Cake. Viel höher darf die Runtz nicht werden, sonst muss ich die Spitze nach unten binden. Das Zelt ist nur 180 cm hoch. Der Lüfter des Filters läuft jetzt schneller mit 50% Leistung. Die Luftfeuchtigkeit lag heute bei 75% und musste aus dem Zelt. Das führt aber auch dazu, dass die Wärme abgesaugt wird. Wird Zeit, dass es draußen konstant wärmer wird. 03. Mai 2025 Die Lüftung habe ich über den Trenntrafo wieder eine Stufe langsamer gestellt. Aber auch vorher lag die Temperatur nachts bei 22°C, also alles im grünen Bereich. Licht: Eine der zwei Sanlight S4W strahlt exclusiv seitlich auf die Runtz. Normalerweise würde ich das nicht so machen, aber die Runtz wächst sehr luftig und hat sehr großen Abstand zwischen den Blättern. Sie sieht gesund aus und wächst gleichmäßig. Die Rückseite der Pflanze zeigt keinen Lichtmangel durch unsymetrisches Wachstum. Eine Beleuchtung von oben wäre aktuell schlechter. Ich muss schon sagen, die Runtz überrascht mich immer wieder und ich mag das zwar hohe aber sehr luftige Wachstum! Die Sleepy Joe und die Lava Cake sind vergleichbar hoch und teilen sich die zweite Sanlight S4W. Auch ihnen geht es gut, etwas größer wachsende Pflanzen sind mir aber lieber. Wasserbrauch: Bisher 30l. Heute den kleinen Tank mit 20l Wasser inkl. 64 ml Canna Aqua Flores aufgefüllt. 34 ml pro 10l bei hartem Wasser gemäß Rechner von Canna. Beim letzten Grow habe ich noch pH-down verwendet, das ist laut Canna nicht nötig und funktioniert aktuell perfekt! Canna: "Es sind pH-Stabilisatoren enthalten die ein Einstellen des pH-Werts unnötig machen." Quelle: https://www.canna-de.com/canna-aqua-flores Die Pflanzen wachsen wie beim letzten Grow kräftig und gesund, ohne Anzeichen von Mangelerscheinungen. Und sie sind nicht übertrieben dunkelgrün durch zu viel Stickstoff. 😱

4. Woche So langsam geht es voran, sie wurde mittlerweile 3x getoppt und ich lass sie so jetzt wachsen, jetzt darf sie Groß und Stark werden 😀

She is at the far back. She is growing well this week, but she is not as big as her other three tentmates. She has the thinnest stem and she actually fell over for a couple of days before I got to her! 😕 I have now remedid the situation.

Transplant week! Some of the girls in the tent started to droop but this one didn’t! She’s looking pretty good to me Come hang out with us in the discord!

2 of plants started fading a little I feed them with compost tea and organic nutrients of biobizz I want to test something on one of my plants.
