To say that this automatic Zookies is very tall is an understatement. It is a monster of about 160 cm, I say about because it has grown so much that it has pushed against the roof of the growbox exceeding the light. Lots and lots of weed guys. ** We remind all users that we grow two plants per variety, one worked with specific techniques and the other left to grow freely and splendidly to preserve its speed and the classic Christmas tree shape in height. Description // This plant immediately put the turbo on, it started and wanted to become big, very big. Little by little after an excellent vegetative period in the first two weeks of flowering I noticed its monster attitude. And off it grew, I prayed but it grew, I invoked mother nature but it grew: I soon realized that nothing supernatural would have worked. So It's week 7 of flowering for my Supafreak Girl and let me tell you, she's looking absolutely stunning! I can't help but feel proud and excited every time I check up on her progress. It's been a bit of a wild ride getting here, but it's all been worth it. The Supafreak strain definitely lives up to its name - this plant is a freak of nature in the best way possible. As we are in the maintenance phase, I'm just admiring her beauty and keeping an eye on those trichomes. It's amazing how much can change in just a day or two. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. The whole theme of this indoor grow was how to cope with the ups and downs of growing your medicine in a unfinished basement .The plant loved her environment in the first week but do to my soil being hot she soon developed yellowing of the leaves and was about to kill her off . Then with some adjustments to her enviroment she really took off and grew up .This has and continues to be a great strain to grow and the team at fastbuds always has those bomb genetics ...she never has issues with feeding and drank very well this whole trip . I would recommend this strain to anyone to try doesn't matter of your a hobbies or first time growing.. cheers canna family ...

This strain is absolutely amazing, it's very different from any haze or even blueberry, the smell it's exactly like a fruit cocktail smells, very very fruity and sweet, I'm crazy to see how this nuggets taste after being well dried and cured boys and girls! -the week of two in bloom and Only was fed with empty water. -the frist defoliation in flowering stage

7/19 Rained all last night. Weather report says it will be rainy for several days. I "suited up" did some slight defoliation and fed two gallons to the garden. Still need to apply BT and get inside and prune with clippers. I'm hesitant due to this huge rash but I need to find a way to do this. Plants look good just need to be cleaned up. 7/20 No water as it's been pretty rainy. Thunderstorms tonight and rain tomorrow. I'll have to wait to apply either Spinosid or BT (as a preventative). I took down the tarps on the back. The wind isn't bad. Usually it's like a wind tunnel but I think this was the right decision. They are still attached at the bottom so the cam go back up quick if high winds come. Considering top dressing with cow manure. It's what I have on hand. I also need to find time to defoliate inside the plants. I'll have to do it when it's wet I guess to avoid the moths. I saw nests at my girlfriend's house on a bunch of apple trees so maybe I got this rash there. I hope so. 7/21 I watered despite some of the soil being damp. It MIGHT rain today but even if it does it wouldn't REALLY give my plants the water they are used to. I also cut some branches inside the plants. I have a lot more to do though. I found a brown-tail moth caterpillar crawling on the soil of one of those buckets outside my cage. Leaving his little poisonous hairs behind. I killed it with fire. I'll update after I spray and/or prune. Humidity is 98% today 70 degrees at 9am. "I'm going to need a bigger boat." 7/22 I put the tarps back up after finding the tall unsupported plant looked all blown over. I removed it from the cage. It's a 30 gallon tote so it opened up my area a little more. I watered this morning as it's supposed to be a nice sunny hot day. Later I plan to LST that seedling that I just left in the 30 gallon tote and kinda neglected. At least I didn't show it the love I had the clones. It's in reveg as well (the only one) and I'm questioning whether it might have a better home elsewhere. I'll check it out when I go for my evening inspection. Looks like possible thunderstorms tonight so I don't know if spraying is feasible. Thank you to all who have been following and helping me on this journey. Much cooler than it has been 65 degrees at 10:30am. 7/23 Watered this morning. I also did some defoliation and pruned lower limbs. I need a night without rain so I can continue with my IPM. I see pillar damage so it will probably be BT that I use. I weed Wacked around the cage this morning and was planning to feed but I ran out of time. The girls will have to wait until tomorrow to eat. The garden looks very healthy as a whole. Slight issues here and there but nothing an outdoor grower wouldn't expect. It's been a great year for growing cannabis thus far! I'll do another video once I get the cage weed Wacked. 7/24 Watered slightly before I Fed two gallons to the garden. Still have leaves turning yellow and falling off but I think its normal. At least the same thing happened the last two years right around this time. Plants have EXPLODED in growth and look great. The stretch is real. I took a minute video that might or might not upload. Took a few pictures too. Internet is pretty slow so I'll probably have to upload pics tomm. Reached the 80s today. Nice and sunny. Oh and walking down to the garden is like getting punched in the face by a skunk lol. The smell is incredible. 7/25 No water as it is supposed to rain today and they drank pretty good yesterday. Still need to defoliate a bit. A few of the seedlings are reveging. That's ok though. I hate seeing leaves die but looking at my previous diary (and the paper one before that) it seems to happen the same time of year right when the stretch starts. For the most part the garden is in preflower so I may start the next week as flower. I also STILL need to spray preventative. I don't really have a problem (besides slight pm and a few random critters but hey it's outdoors) but I need to keep up with the IPM. Im super happy with progress this far.

Currently checking daily and tying away branches/leaves to give the buds more light and watering when the soil is dry. Currently my plants drink exactly 1,5L a day. I have the feeling that the right plant is lacking a bit of potassium. I'll leave everything as it is for now because the left plant (fresh new soil) is growing well. Since the right plant is quite bushy anyway, I'll defoliate it again later and remove any lower shoots. I started adding the Bio PK booster towards the middle of the first week of flowering, 2ml per liter of water; as the pH value drops too much, I correct it upwards with Biobizz pH up - from pH 5.5 to 6.5 for 3L, I add a total of 39 drops. My water is mixed as follows: 3L osmosis water, plus 6ml CalMag, 6ml BioPK 5-8 and 39 drops of pH + BioBizz.

May have added more nutrients forgeting the pot already came with its own nutrients for the seed. So just add 6.5 water. I’ve decided to add Fish shit to boost the growth along the way. Don’t know if it’s needed or not. The sprout is growing its first set of fan leaves which appear to have a couple spots. I left the soil uncovered for about a week so nutrients may be for concentrated at the top of soil causing slight nutrient burn spots… I’ll just keep using decholinated 6.5 water

12th week. I removed some unwanted yellow leaves. I really like this plant, nothing changed, watering happens the same way and same amount of water. I am so excited. Really nice flowers on it and stinky like citrus smell and sweet very well coated with THC. Beautiful plant and really short.😅 I just checked the trichomes and they are still immatured, not even milky. Very strong smell and big buds. Beautifully coated with THC everywhere. I love this plant. Fan leaves started getting yellow as well. I think it is 4 weeks more approximately to be finished. I removed some fan leaves the biggest ones as it started turning yellow because the plants takes the energy out of it. Better airflow and more light to the flowers, and good tea for me from the leaves 🥂🤪😇 I also set the lamp distance to be 20 cm. End of the week Purple Punch is 43 cm.

Harvest was nice and buds are dense. Very few popcorns on lower branches. I'm pretty sure this a good genetic strain and i want to grow it again .

No idea how this will go but it is all good fun. The container is in fact a tea strainer with 20 micron mesh. I was hoping it will air prune and I will feed by dunning into a cup of feed so there will be no down pressure on the substrate.
