This shorty is packing a punch. She's caught right up to the other ladies in the tent in guessing because of the bud ignitor I pounded her with. The buds are way more of a sativa variety then the other...sativas in the tent...if that makes sense. I can't see how they will be longer and the canopy is open to allow light in naturally. The smell is rather strong. I'm really looking forward to harvesting these buds for a nice wake and bake on a Sunday morning. I've only recently found my appreciation for the medical benefits of the sativa plant. Cheers to good things to come .

13.4.25: This week has been so busy in the garden! I forgot to take any notes, so I'll see what I can do from memory! 😅 I watered several times this week, and I used Ecothrive Biosys with dechlorinated water PH'd to 6.4. I watered about 2 litres to each plant. Throughout the week, I've been defoliating all the fan leaves 🍃 The trichomes are looking all milky to me. I stopped watering a couple of days ago, and the pots are totally dry. 14.4.25: Today is Harvest Day! I finally put together my clothes rail, which I'm using to hang my plants on. I purchased a hanging mosquito net for a bed from Amazon. It's black, which will hopefully block out what little light there is in my drying room. Also, to prevent debris from sticking to the buds whilst drying. It hangs from the ceiling so it will just hang over the clothes rail. Additionally, the net will allow good airflow. I put a bit of thought into this method, so I look forward to seeing it in action! 😅 So let's wait a while and find out how much we yielded here! 😃💚✌️🌱👌

Day 141 - Made the decision I am going to chop Sunday morning, and giving 24 hours of darkness before. The net was cut out of the plant, and the light removed from the tent. I wanted to wait a bit longer, but there were bright yellow tipped sugar leaves trying to poke out of the buds, so I figure it was time. She was set to be watered Saturday, but that will be foregone and chopped Sunday morning. The tent is going to double as the drying chamber.

These girls are doing great. Running out of room to move my light so hopefully they're done growing up lol. Small nugs are starting to form and the smell its starting to get strong smells very nice. Got a bigger dehumidifier to help with humidity was staying between 50-70 the last couple weeks finally getting down to 40. They're appetite is really ramping up now and they're drinking about a gallon a day between the three of em.

Week 9 - Fourth Week of Flower The Donutz gang is hitting its stride as the fourth week of flower unfolds. Trichomes are developing beautifully, and the plants are entering full production mode. A few challenges cropped up this week, but quick thinking and some DIY ingenuity kept everything on track. Key Updates: Trichome Progress: The resin glands are popping off, with a frosty layer forming across the developing buds. The plants are starting to show their true potential, and the tent is starting to smell. New Fan Installation: The old ventilator tapped out this week, so a replacement was installed to maintain proper airflow. This ensures the plants stay cool and prevents any issues with humidity or stagnant air. Lamp Adjustment: The front-left plant shot up too close to the light, so I had to get creative. I built a DIY solution to raise the lamp higher, ensuring even coverage and preventing light stress. Accident Recovery: During the light adjustment, I initially tried securing the front-left plant with a rubber band. Concerned it might melt, I removed it, but in the process, the main stem got damaged. Thankfully, the plant is a fighter. The main cola is now growing sideways but remains fully healthy and strong. This unexpected twist has added some character to the tent, and the plant is bouncing back beautifully. Observations: Despite the challenges, all plants are thriving, with strong growth and healthy bud development. The sideways-growing cola on the front-left plant is a unique highlight, showing the resilience of the Donutz genetics. Next Steps: Keep monitoring airflow and light height to avoid any further issues. Continue with the nutrient schedule and reverse osmosis (RO) watering to maintain stability. Watch the trichomes closely as they continue to mature, signaling the start of the final phases of flower. The Florida Gang grind is real, and the Donutz are proving their worth week after week. 5/5/2024 Pistils pistils pistils 5/8 these plants are fucking exploding! Super exciting to see them like this. Pistils everywhere and they’re just STACKING! don’t even see budlets yet, just pistils. The structure of these plants is beautiful. They handle training fairly well. I topped one and super cropped it and did a bit of lst. I was feeling impatient so I decided to see what happened if I pushed the one a little harder and left the other to grow naturally.

Diesen Vorgang werde ich vermutlich nächste Woche nochmal wiederholen und dann langsam aber sicher mit dem spülen beginnen. Wir beginnen nun mit der 7. Blütenwoche. An Tag 57 wurde die Pflanze gedüngt. Wow can't believe another week has passed already! Had a busy week with Christmas and family dinners and whatnot so got #1-3 topped early in the week on Xmas Eve. Didn't even look shocked the next day and by end of the week the growth is 1.5" on the new mains already 💪. Topped them maybe a day or so early, it was tight work but looks like all three plants were done properly as can be seen in the pics. Have been watering daily, working on keeping the soil moist and it seems to be making for happy plants. Trying to follow the BuildaSoil watering guide, basically if you think of soil moisture on scale of 1-10, 1 being desert dry and 10 being mud, you want to keep the soil between a 3-7 at all times to promote best organic life 🤷. So if looking at it on a 2 day cycle for me that means day 1 is about 500ml per plant, but day 2 is only 125ml per plant. Also watering with the sprayer seems to be keeping the soil from compacting as badly as it has in previous runs. Also the girls never look sad after watering so must be doing something right 🤞👍. They were in the 4x4 for 3 days, power issues due to big winter storm but even at the high end of VPD (.9) they did well. Could tell a difference though once they did get back in the 3x3 (.5-.6) much happier plants. Hope everyone has had a great holiday season and is enjoying their gardens!

The time is finally here to post the harvest. I waited till it was all done and dry before updating the dairy so will add in the dry weights next on the 2nd half of the harvest entry. I enjoyed this plant a lot, its grew well and loved how it was shorter and fatter. I wonder if it was at the dame distance from the plant if It could have done even more. Had some issues with the yellowing that was happening on the other plant in this tent. I should have treated this faster with a flush but was super reluctant and it may have hurt the yields a bit. The top best looking buds looked and smelled amazing even the lower buds where doing well not so larfy like the other plant. There was crazy strong smells with this plant, sour berries and hints of lemon, it was a best smelling plant I have grown to date. This would be a great plant to grow for beginners, cant take a lot of stress and still produces quite well and even on lower wattage leds it was good. It was not the most crystally looking plant, not like the maltezerz but still had some finger hash buildup but a small amount. I feel this plant would be a winner for a rosin press. I don't plan on growing this strain out again despite me liking a lot of qualities about it. I'm only trying to grow cbd dominate plants is the main reason. If my friends really like this I have some clones so can always give them some. Speaking of clones they are doing well outside, greened up a lot and showing signs of revegging. Took some photos of the weed hang drying on day 1 in the tent and a week later to show how much they shrink. Only some of the lower growth is larfy, will make good edibles or hash, that will be a fun project to do and may include that in my projects diary. My light grew for 20 weeks and 4 days, or 144 days. almost 21 weeks total. $35.67 / 144d = 0.2477$/d average of about 25c a day in electricity 337.2kw for the entire grow. Using the regular calculation of grams harvested divided by watts used is not accurate to me, it does not account for all the time the lamps are on, the length of grow to the over all cost. The calculation that makes sense to me is this, harvested dry weight of usable cannabis buds/trim/keif/whatever in grams divided by total kw used. Could also combine it with grams per total single use costs “anything you used only for this grow and wont reuse in the next, or fractions of multi use items like fertilizers if they ½ full” and see how much you’re investing per gram. "kw" ÷ "g" = kw/g "$" ÷ "g" = $/g I have harvested 4.57oz or 129.6g on 337.2kw. 337.2kw ÷ 129.6g = 2.60 kw/g of usable cannabis. This is not an ideal ratio for me and looks like a lot of energy waste happened from the extended veg period. $35.67 ÷ 129.6g = 0.28c/g It cost 28c/g when comparing total electricity cost to gross yield, almost identical to the comparison of total electrical cost to the number of days in the grow 25c/day.
