Week 02 Introduction This week has been a bit of a struggle. Had my first experience dealing with slime and brown algae. But I think adding enzymes and increasing the beneficial bacteria helped to fix the issue. Also experienced nutrient burn for the first time. My nutrient solution strength got as high as 671 PPMs. So backed it down to about 430 PPMs during the end-of-week reservoir change. Also cut Hydroguard (expired?), CaliMagic, and Superthrive from this grow. Now she's still stunted, but is starting to recover. Hopefully... [START OF WEEK 02] Day 01 - Monday - 08/10/20 - Total Days: 008 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Still looks a bit yellow. But getting larger! --- Solution strength was at 248 PPMs. --- Just topped off with a bit of distilled water --- PH went up to 6.1 so PH'd down to 5.8 --- Ran the top feed for a bit to wet the hydroton. - [2130]: She's looking even more yellow now. --- Even the new leaves are really yellow. --- Decided to add more base nutes. --- Added 4ml of Sensi A --- Added 4ml of Sensi B --- Now at about --- Solution Strength went up to 304 PPM. --- PH was at 6, --- Also raised the water level a bit more. --- I really hope it's a nutrient deficiency and not an over-watering issue. --- Please live! Day 02 - Tuesday - 08/11/20 - Total Days: 009 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looking less droopy. But still yellow. --- Decided to do a reservoir change. --- 4.5gal of distilled water --- 8ml of Sensi Grow A --- 8ml of Sensi Grow B --- 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- 4ml of B-52 --- 4ml of CaliMagic --- 4ml of Hydroguard --- 4 drops of Superthrive --- PH'd down to 5.8 --- Solution strength: 302 PPM --- Since I didn't want to risk over-watering the rockwool, I did not to do a top feed, may do one tonight after the sleep cycle (lights are still set to go off at 10am and back on at 4pm). --- As I was doing a reservoir change, I noticed that the tubes and bucket were a bit slimy. Didn't really stink or anything. Is this normal? Maybe due to the Hydroguard and Voodoo Juice? --- I hope she gets better soon! - [2215]: Getting larger! But still yellow. --- Also can see a root growing through the net pot! Tiny little thing but it's there! Will have to start dropping water once more appear. --- After looking over a few DWC diaries using AN nutes, seems like my solution strength is still too low. Most around this stage average around 500 PPMs with about 4ml per gallon. --- Top fed for a minute to wet the top of the hydroton. --- Solution strength went down to 263 PPM. --- Added 8ml more of Sensi A --- Added 8ml more of Sensi B --- Now base nutes are at 16ml for 4.5 gal of water. --- PPMs went up to 411. --- Still lower than 500 PPMs, but that's okay. --- PH was at 6. Not sure if I should adjust PH using AN nutes. So going to not ajdust unless PH goes above 6.1. Day 03 - Wednesday - 08/12/20 - Total Days: 010 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: Looks like more root growth! --- She still looks yellow. But leaves are perky. --- PH was at 6.2 so lowered down to 5.8. --- Solution strength was at 394 PPMs --- Since roots are still growing, I decide to lower the water level a bit. Now water level is a bit below the net pot. - [2200]: Root is getting longer! --- Slime is returning. Not sure why. --- Solution strength: 357 PPMs --- PH: 6.1 --- Decided to add an enzyme along with more beneficial bacteria to hopefully cure the slime. --- Added 16ml of Sensizym --- Added 5ml of Hydroguard --- Added 8ml of Voodoo Juice --- New solution strength: 430 PPMs --- New PH: 6.1 --- Top fed for a minute. --- This slimy residue is really freaking me out! I hope the added enzymes will help eliminate the slime. --- Going to do a full reservoir sterilization/nutrient change over the weekend. Please survive until then girl! Day 04 - Thursday - 08/13/20 - Total Days: 011 ----------------------------------- - [0930]: I think the enzymes worked! There is little to no slime now! --- Although I think the root was also dissolved in the process. It's now just a little stub sticking just below the net pot. The enzyme is also suppose to dissolved dead roots too but guess that root was too weak? Not sure what happened there. But I think the slime is cured! --- Solution strength went down to 395 PPMs. Decided to add more base nutrients. --- Added 8ml of Sensi A --- Added 8ml of Sensi B --- Added 4ml of B-52 --- Solution strength went up to 598 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.1 --- As long as the PH is between 5.5 and 6.3, I'm not going to use PH Up or Down. But still will monitor PH levels. - [1715]: Checked up on her after her nap and shes looking alive but stunted. But no slime! --- Decided to add some sugars to help maintain the enzymes and beneficial bacteria. --- Solution strength was at 587 PPMs. --- PH was at 6.2 --- Added 8ml of Bud Candy --- Solution strength went up to 671 PPMs. --- PH also went up to 6.3 --- Lowered water level a bit to hopefully promote more root growth. --- Top fed for a minute. --- She is getting bigger, but still looks yellow. Day 05 - Friday - 08/14/20 - Total Days: 012 ----------------------------------- - [0915]: Leaves look a little burnt on the tips. Still no slime. --- Going to back off on the PPMs to hopefully fix the nutrient toxicity. --- Solution strength was at 632 PPMs --- PH was at 6.3 --- Added/Removed water until PPMs were at 536. --- PH was still at 6.3 --- Raised water up a bit, then top fed for a minute. - [2200]: Looking better. Still yellow though. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 6.5 --- Added PH down. --- New solution strength: 518 PPMs --- New PH: 5.2 --- PH was kind of high. So decided to PH down. Had to use quite a bit to bring it down. But eventually got it to drop down to 5.3. A little low, but so far, the PH has always gone up so wanted to start it really low. --- Ran the top feed for a minute to re-saturate the top of the hydroton. Day 06 - Saturday - 08/15/20 - Total Days: 013 ----------------------------------- - [0830]: She looks stunted. leaves are still yellow. --- Solution strength: 514 PPMs --- PH: 5.6 --- Top fed for a minute. --- Not sure what to do at this point. Going to do another reservoir change soon. Hoping she lives until then. - [2145]: Looking pretty much the same. --- A bit of slime has returned. Since I've been diluting the nutrient solution, the enzyme ratio has dropped. So I guess this is expected. --- Also noticed that slime build up was on the air-stones. Never really checked the stones so not sure how long that has been there. Looks brown too, which can't be good. --- Going to do an H202 sterilization of the system (minus the net pot) tomorrow so did not add anything. --- Lowered the water level to below the net pot. --- Then top fed for a minute. Day 07 - Sunday - 08/16/20 - Total Days: 014 ----------------------------------- - [0900]: STERILIZATION DAY! --- Decided to skip today's night cycle for a deep clean. --- I'm hoping that skipping a night cycle won't be too stressful. --- Temporarily moved her to a new bucket. --- Used about a half of gallon of straight distilled water to flush out the net pot. --- Drained the system and wiped up all the brown sludge. Also removed the air stones and cleaned up all the goo. --- Filled the system with 2 gallons of distilled water and at least 30ml of food grade hydrogen peroxide (35% strength). --- Yea its a lot, but since I'm not going to sterilize the system overnight, I went with a really high doseage. Basically I kept adding until I started to see little bubbles start to form. --- Then I ran the water pump. - [0915]: Boiled the air stones in tap water for about 10 min. Then reconnected them to the airlines. --- I let the air stones and hose soak in the sterilization solution for about 5 minutes so the peroxide can absorb into the stones. Then ran the air stone to help mix and agitate the solution. --- Occasionally, I'd repeat the process of turning the air pump off for a few minutes to let the stones soak. - [1000]: Covered the top two row of holes of the net pot with some aluminum tape. Hopefully this solves the light leaking in through the hydroton. - [1200]: Used an old toothbrush and scrubbed the pump clean. Then drained the system. --- Refilled with more distilled water and peroxide. Again added a lot. --- Ran system again to sterilize even more. - [1530]: Drained the system and refilled with distilled water to rinse. --- Ran the system for a few minutes, then drained and rinsed again. --- Did this a few more times over about an hour. - [1630]: Added 4 gallons of fresh distilled water. --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow A --- Added 15ml Sensi Grow B --- Added 12ml of B-52 --- Added 16ml of Voodoo Juice --- Added 16ml Sensizym --- Solution strength was at 430 PPMs --- PH was at 5.6 --- I was going to add Hydroguard, but I think the bottle is expired. Since 2017 or 2018!? I think Hydroguard is good for up to 2 years from the date on the bottle or 6 months after opening. So not going to use from now on. I wonder if this could have contributed to the slime build up. --- Also removed the CaliMagic and Superthrive too. Going to only use AN products to eliminate the chance of incompatible nutrients. --- Placed her back in the bucket and top fed for a minute. --- Here's hoping for the best. All doing well. Watering every 2 days. The weather has been pretty good. 55 at night 73 to 78 day humidity around 60 to 70 rh. The one Mimosa x orange punch is starting to get some purple leaves. I noticed a slight strain from switching to bloom nutes but they seem to have moved past and are doing great. I did find a couple of buds with the very start of bud rot on the mop#1 I removed the buds and see no sign of more. I think this weekend is gonna be the last fert on the mop#1 going to start the flush and im thinking the week after for the mop#2. Most water and all fert solution goes in between 6.2 to 6.7 ph

D61 (21/01/2021): First day for week 5 of flowering. It's incredible how the buds are forming and getting bigger. It easily doubled (if not more) in size in the last 7 days. Since beginning of bloom, I normally gave water every other days. I make sure the soil is dry and the pots feel light when I lift them before giving any water. But it's not ideal cause it means that the plant drank all the water at his disposal and maybe it missed some. I will try a different watering schedule by giving water every 36 hours instead of every 48 hours. I will still make sure the soil his not wet and the pot not heavy (soil full of water) when I will give water. At this stage, they need a lot of nutrients to produce big buds. I will give nutrients every other feeding and only Max Minerals the others. Today I gave 1/2 of the recommended dose of Max Minerals. - temp: 24-26C light ON ; 21-22C light OFF - water: PH6.3 , 329PPM , less then a gallon each - run off: PH6.9 and 1090PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH6.9 and 940PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 50% light ON ; 48-49% light OFF D62 (22/01/2021): Nothing special for today. I think it is time to start flushing. I will only give tap water at proper PH for the next 10-14 days and keep looking at trichomes. I consider also reducing air temperature and humidity for the rest of the grow. Banana Kush is less frosty but thicker and look a bit behind in maturity compared with Glue Gelato. - temp: 24-25C light ON ; 21-22C light OFF - water: PH6 , 440PPM , less then a gallon each - run off: PH6.8 and 930PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH6.8 and 1220PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 48% light ON ; 47-50% light OFF D67 (27/01/2021): The electric breaker where all the equipment of my tent is plug tripped. It took me around 20 min to notice it. During that time the relative humidity % went up around 75%. I don't think it will cause anything bad but I wanted to document it. I started the flush today by giving tap water at proper PH. The tap water of my city is around 130-140 PPM. I always let it sit in a bucket for 24h. - temp: 24-25C light ON ; 20-21C light OFF - water: PH6, 135PPM, less then a gallon each - run off: PH6.9 and 625PPM for Glue Gelato ; PH6.9 and 725PPM for Banana Kush - RH: 48% light ON ; 52-55% light OFF

Struggled alot with this gal I snapped her I burned her with the dots but overall she prevailed to some pretty bud so I'm happy overall

Ventilation - Cloudline Heating and fan - Ceramic heater Aroma - Carbon Filter Organic soil - includes 3 month of feeding just add water ONLY when the pot is dry otherwise you will be flooding the plant with nutrients. Lights - LED 1000 Watts ( True Draw Power is 140watts). LED if you are worried about cost and heat, it does not emit heat like HPS. PH meter and dry and wet meter for the soil. Temperature and humidity gauges PH Up and PH down to fix the tap waters PH to 6.2 before watering. (If your using tap water you must let it sit for 24 hours with lid open before watering plants. Notes: Do NOT allow humidity to reach more than 60 percent in the room. Mold will grow on your soil. We have hit day 35 and everything's looking great! Only 2 girls out of 8 have started flowering in the past day or two, the remaining six have shown sex and I'm anticipating flowering to begin sometime this week. I gave them a full feeding today. I'm using H&G Coco A+B, which is used from seed to harvest, unlike many other nutrient brands. I will start using H&G Bud-XL in the next few days, luckily I got a bottle before the shops close for Christmas. I didn't expect these autos to get so big so fast, but I'm definitely not complaining. Update day 37 - 26/12/20 I fed the girls their first dose of bud-xl today. 5/8 girls have started to flower now, hopefully, in the next few days the other 3 start up! Update: Day 40 - 29/12/20 6/8 girls are flowering now, the two that aren't are the 2 weird pheno runts.. I've submitted a grow question regarding the 2 weird girls. I'm hoping that they're simply late to flower and not a photoperiod.. I've been feeding the girls 1-2 litres each every day, with a plain PH'd water run every 7-14 days. Update day 41 - 30/12/20 All the girls have started to flower now :D I'm incredibly happy to see them so healthy at this point too I was almost going to put the 2 runts outside but I'm leaving them inside at this point. Hello growmies! Welcome to week six of An Epsilon Adventure! Massive thanks to both Shogun and Royal Queen Seeds for sponsoring this grow! So here we are at week six and every one of these girls are at a slightly different stage, it is quite fascinating to watch them develop one after the other. Today I made the last adjustment to the light possible. I removed the adjustable hangers and affixed a carabiner which I tightly tied to the top of the tent bar. There is about 1.5 inches of space between the top of the shade and the tallest part of the roof of the tent. Plant 1 is already taller than this, and it looks like plant 6 and maybe even plant 5 are going to join it. It's a madness. I am sure you have already looked at the photos but just in case you do what I do and read the diary first... Here is my assessment at the beginning of week 6: Plant 1: Height: 1st (137cm) - what can I say about this ridiculous plant? Day 36... 137cm tall. I have had to raise the light to as high as it is physically possibly to raise it and it's still not high enough. She is done stretching now, she may add 3-5cm over the next week or so but I don't expect more than that, so her top of her main cola going to have to develop above the level of the light. Nothing I can really do, nothing wise anyway. What a monster plant. Maturation: 4th - early into flower - bud sites developing, pistils just starting to explode. Plant 2: Height: 4th (111cm) - this plant has been there or there abouts as the tallest plant for most of the grow, but she has topped out at 111cm. She will gain some during flower but not much more than a few centimetres. Very impressive plant, loads of bud sites, really big strong secondary branches. This one is going to be colas galore. Maturation: 3rd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 3: Height: 6th (95cm) For some brief days the tallest plant in the room, she peaked early and is now the "shortest" at "only" 95cm for this "50-70cm" strain. She is utterly dwarfed by four of her five sisters in just about every department, being quite a bit smaller even than plant 4 (although I have removed the most lower nodes from this plant). Compared with her sisters she is almost a runt... except that she is 25cm taller than the strain top-end average and matches the maximal height of the previous tallest Epsilon F1 plant I am aware of. It's not that she is small, actually she's pretty big for an Epsilon F1, it's just that the rest of the girls are on another level altogether. Plants 1, 5 and 6 are all absolute beasts. Maturation: 1st - well into flower - first shades of brown in some pistils. Plant 4: Height: 5th (98cm) although only 3cm taller than plant 3, overall she is a much larger plant. Her secondary nodes are the same height as plant 3. Maturation: 2nd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 5: Height: 3rd (113cm) - one of the two thick/short girls who have grown at a similar pace all along - she is further ahead than plant 6 but not by much and I think she will probably exceed 120cm this week, though I do not think she will outgrow plant 1 or 6. Maturation: 5th - early into flower - bud sites developing. Plant 6: Height: 2nd (120cm) - my predictions were correct about this girl and her continued growth. I now think she might actually outgrow plant 1, which is quite worrying. Maturation: 6th - early into flower - bud sites forming - by far the least mature plant of the six. ### Week 6 Day 2 23:00 30/7 Photographed. Raised the light. Rotated the plants. Inspected, measured and reported on each plant. ### Week 6 Day 3 23:00 31/7 It has not escaped my attention that the plants that are more advanced into flower have darkened and have some burnt tips. I need to flush them and lay off the base nutes a bit. Ya estamos en plena floración y con las luminarias a max potencia... Evidentemente el aire acondicionado también está trabajando durante la fase de encendido. Flowa-Bloom es la estrella de los nutrientes a incorporar, pero todos son importantes... Así que sigo la tabla de fertilización de JUJU Royal al pie de la letra. Eso si, primero humedezco bien el sustrato con agua, para aprovechar bien la solución con los nutrientes y que no filtre por las macetas textiles. Riego cada cuatro días.

I have grown RQS a few times but this is my first RQS diary. The seed took 36hrs to pop and sprout in the wet paper towel. It only took another 36hrs to come fully out of the ground and loose it’s shell. I started with the lights 70cm’s from the soil which was giving a LUX💡reading of 25,000lux💡.Once the seedling 🌱 got to 5cm’s I raised the light by 5cm again to keep the distance at 70cm’s maintaining a reading of 25,000Lux💡 at the top of the seedling 🌱. On previous grows I started with the light at 80cm’s but I was getting stretching. I find if I start at 70cm’s and don’t raise the light after a day or two that the seedling 🌱 can get light burn. HUMIDITY: As you can see in photos I have milk bottle tops full of water next to the seedling. I’ve been this for a while now. I have my seedling next to a plant only a few weeks away from harvest so I need to keep the overall humidity low. I might be crazy and wasting my time but it makes sense to me. I leave these bottle tops near the seedling and over the space of a day the water evaporates off and then I refill them again with water (PH’d water). I reckon if the water is evaporating off so close to the seedling that it must be creating some extra humidity around the seedling 🌱. For the record I don’t think the earth 🌍 is flat. *I’m using RQS nutrients for this grow. I am recording the nutrients as 0.5ml as there is not a tablet option so what I mean by 0.5 is half of one tablet per 2ltrs of water. 🦍Day 3: Watered around the edges of the seedling 🌱 just to dampen the soil a bit 🦍Day 5: Dampened soil again. Looking good so far. 🦍Day 7: Gave very light watering. Happy with the height of the seedling 🌱. The light distance seems to have worked well.

This week could not have gone any better. Shiba Inu went through the roof, as it should. 'Dog coins is greats', we all know this by now and should be the only logic when selecting crypto's. Then came another nice surprise: My 6th place price for best diary came in. @FastBuds had already sent it, thanks to Heather and the Fastbudsteam. What a great company they are and can't wait to try the free seeds they send me too. I selected Mimosa Cake, Bruce Banner, Forbidden Runtz, and since they didn't have the t-shirt in my size (that's right, big boy here), I was allowed to select an extra strain: Green Crack. Thanks again to all the people at FastBuds for being an awesome company! 😘 Well finally I have fixed all the stress, what they needed was apparently some good old BioBuds Super Soil love... You guys need to check out my recipe on the germination page. This is some awesome shit even for younger plants. I think I nailed it with only European ingredients, to match Master Mark and Subcools recipes. You can clearly see how the transplant only made them better instead of further stressing the plants. I'm so happy. With one or two weeks delay, finally, we are underway. The FIM I did last week did not hold so fimmed her again, I think I might have been too careful. But now the light (still many thanks to @MarsHydroLED, hook 'em up for a great discount on your SP-3000 or other light) and the soil are proving to be a great team in even recovering stressed and hurt plants. The climate in the tent could be a little moister but for now, I'll mist just the plants to keep the gnat problem at bay. The gnat problem seems over by just spraying all the topsoil with a solution of 5 tablespoons of citric acid in a liter of water. Just a fine mist covering most of the topsoil kills the larvae and sticky traps and a bowl of vinegar with some dish soap did the rest.
