Started too flush for 14 Day. I am very impressed for the result for my first grow 🤔 in addition its auto plant so less good than fem but the bud is sooo dense I am chocked aha. so week 11.. The gorillaz are carrying on beautifully, however I realised having 5 plants sharing one reservoir is now quite a bad idea.. 2/5 of them look to be well into flower, fattening up and some tri's starting to turn cloudy but look like theres still plenty of fattening up to do. The other 3 are now just beginning to fully pistil up so will still be requiring flowering nutes when I should be beginning a flush on the other 2.. any comment or advice on this would be greatly appreciated!? The Stardawgs have basically grown into tennis balls. Such a vast majority of bud sites all the way down look so much larger than I could ever have hoped and i've had to tie some of the buds to the main colas!! I will Be starting the flush this week as most Tri's are now cloudy i'd say around 4/5 currently but more throrugh macros will be taken as the days progress. The only problem i've had is some of the sugar leaves on 2 of the plants have really taken a beating and show some strange signs. I think the LED's aren't to be under estimated and i've battled some burning and what seems to be calmag issues through the grow.

How did you create/breed Freakshow? A. Methodical selection, line breeding, and culling is the short answer. Read our About page for more details. Q. Is it an indoor or outdoor type? A. Everything I've ever worked has been outdoors, including of course Freakshow. It has been our experience that outdoor (or sun grown, as it's recently being referred to) cultivars seem to perform extremely well under artificial conditions. No, the mature seeds are shrouded by a rice paper thin membrane which has coloring and mottling on it, but it's so fragile that it disintegrates in the process of shucking. Stripped of the outer layer the seeds are very pale, nearly white. It came as no surprise that this plant would have abnormal seeds. Q. Is it a GMO? A. Wow...? Q. Is it a big producer? A. Freakshow will produce nice, fat, dense colas (see gallery) with remarkable trichome coverage, and you can expect yields according to your veg. time, root space, and general knowledge and expertise as a gardener. The same set of variables apply to expected outcomes regarding cannabinoid levels and terpene profiles. Q.What is the lineage? A. (Bigbud x Skunk#1) x (Big Sur Holy Weed x Banana Kush). NLD("Sativa") dominant, but the afghanica influence is apparent. I'm pretty sure that Freakshow contains some Trainwreck and some Maui Wowie based on some research I did on the origins of the Pineapple Express. Interestingly Big Sur Holyweed, OG Kush, Banana, Trainwreck, and Maui Wowie are all of unclear origins. We have to remember that these are all just names and that they don't really mean much. The exact heritage of any cultivar today is impossible to determine accurately. Also, considering the amount of continuous shameless hybridization that has occurred in the last 40 yrs., any modern kind could easily contain over 40 kinds. In the case of Freakshow, it's much more limited because the ancestry is largely older "Sativas" that didn't go through as much outcrossing. In the 70s in Santa Cruz, Haze was a favorite among surfers for the pure energy and I still have (greatly improved) stock of it around, simply because even when I made hybrids with it I always kept the original in pure form for obvious reasons. Q. What is the psychoactive effect like? A. Like the flavors, many people have commented that the "buzz" is somewhat different than other mainstream types out there. It's not entirely out of the scope of imagination that given that this strain has new alleles in so many other respects, that it could also contain new, unique cannabinoids, as well as new and unique terpenoids, some of which may not even be among the standard 16 or so that the average lab is testing for. Aside from the up, cerebral, energetic boost, some report a mild time/space warp effect. Creativity and idea induction should be mentioned, for sure. Freakshow has the pure energy effect and greatly alters perception to the positive side, so definitely destroys depression. Appetite suppression is a side effect, but the enjoyment of food is enhanced. I personally will attest to all of the above. We all have different receptor profiles, so these are just generalizations. Couch unlock. Q. Is it pest and mildew resistant? A. Indeed it is. On many occasions in the last few years, it has been observed that when pest and mildew issues were affecting other plants adjacent to in the vicinity of Freakshow plants, for unknown reasons the freaks remained entirely unaffected. This includes 0botritis, PM, various mites and insects, soil fungus, etc. We haven't heard any complaints along those lines so far, so if anyone has any problems, especially with a rigorous IPM regimen in place, we would like to hear about it. And if anyone can attest to the extreme level of resistance it seems to have we'd love to hear about that as well. Q. Does it contain web-leaf genetics? A. I thought I better clarify this because there are a few people thinking that because of an article "Growing Marijuana that Doesn't look like Marijuana" that mentions that I had worked web-leaf types years ago and had eventually turned that into Freakshow. This is incorrect and I'm needing to get ahold of the writer to have him change it. When I read the piece and saw the mistake I figured it didn't matter that much, that the actual method of breeding could just remain a "trade secret". Recently, I noticed online that a posting, "Freakshow only exists because of duckfoot" by Curious Cannabis Connoisseur, where he explains how I developed Freakshow using Duckfoot. Let me explain, about 20 yrs. ago a friend gave me a jar of seeds labeled "BC Bigbud" and I sprouted flats of hundreds to look for oddities and had found one web-leaf pheno which we named Webster. It was a female so I bred it to a normal leaf male and began selecting and stabilizing a line of Webster. About 5 or 6 generations later I had nailed it to 100% webs and had also stabilized it for a deep purple color and a nice "gingerbread" terp profile. I was busy working other lines at that point so I put Webster in the library. Also, I was having a hell of a time getting a pheno of it that flowered to my satisfaction. (it seemed to finish with a limited number of calyxes). I knew I would have to outcross it to something with a big tasty bud and restabilize it for web-leaf, and I no longer had the original BC Bigbud. I still have the Webster seeds, and trust me the thought has crossed my mind to make the cross with Freakshow, but why? Why mess around crossing things just to create something even weirder? I have heard that the "Duckfoot" also doesn't bud up well so maybe there's a correlation there. Anyway, people can do what they want to and I will too, but crossing Freakshow with some low-THC crap like ABC is in my opinion idiotic. I worked extremely hard stabilizing and perfecting a beautiful new subspecies and I believe it should be kept pure. I won't go on a rant here about the rampant crossing and the lack of line-breeding in the cannabis world in the last several decades, or where this will eventually lead us, but I will say that it's not in a good direction. Bottom line....Freakshow has no web-leaf genes, it was made using top-grade tropical narrow-leaf drug (NLD) cultivars. Q.Why is Freakshow patented? A. Although I and most others (including all the folks at HSC) believe in and subscribe to the concept of "open sourcing" because sharing in cannabis genetics was always the cultural norm, it was decided that Freakshow should be protected (1) because it is a novel and unique, not a preexisting strain (or even subspecies), (2) To keep the greedy corporate big boys from exploiting it, (3) To maintain control of the genetic refinement of it in all future generations. Allmählich ist eine reguläre Triebform erkennbar, dennoch bilden sich die Triebe sehr langsam und eng anliegend aus. Daher habe ich ein paar Beugungselemente an die Seitentriebe angebracht. Es ist nach dieser Woche Zeit für gute ebenfalls in die Blüte überzuleiten, den an Wachstum erwarte ich nicht mehr viel. Mal schauen, was dann passiert🙈 Ich bin gespannt, wie sich die Pflanze entwickelt. Hopefully I haven't left it too late to fix, added nitrogen fertiliser (liquid) 1ml/1ltr with their nutrient mix, waiting a few days to see if they get back that lovely green colour again, probably should of left the damaged leaves on until I see healthy new growth but I cut a few of the worst looking ones at the bottom.

The last day of week 7 vegetative stage and the next day I’ll change my light cycle from 18/6 to 12/12. I flushed my babies with tap water last 2 days ago and so they gonna be thirsty and tomorrow I’m gonna feed with flowering nutrients. So, I’m very excited with the flowering process of they gonna be.

Week 3ish Update Two weeks have passed since my last update, and I have to say—it’s been an interesting ride. We’re now in week three for both the OG Kush and Gorilla Skittles plants, and there’s already a noticeable difference between the two. I’m not entirely sure if it’s due to the fact that OG Kush is an indica strain and Gorilla Skittles is a hybrid sativa, or if the OG Kush has been a bit stunted in its growth. Either way, both are holding up fairly well. Feeling like the OG Kush needed a bit of encouragement, I decided to top it and follow up with some low-stress training (LST). Growth is decent, but for being nearly three weeks in, it’s still on the smaller side. I’m curious to see how it responds in the next week or two. Gorilla Skittles, on the other hand, looks fantastic. It’s also at the beginning of week three, and I’ve applied some LST without topping it—I want to see how it performs naturally with minimal intervention. Both plants experienced a bit of nutrient burn or light burn or something lol early on, but after adjusting the pH of the water, all new growth looks healthy and vibrant. Thankfully, the issue didn’t spread. I'm growing organically using a mix of bush doctors coco coir and fox farms ocean forest so just watering only when dry, and supplementing with Cal-Mag as needed. In addition to these two, I now have three younger plants that all sprouted about 10 days ago (on the 15th and 16th of this month). Moon Beam: This strain came from a cracked seed I received from Multiverse Beans. They told me to go ahead and plant it, and so far, it's doing great. I’m really excited to see how this one turns out. AK: This one is a bit smaller—similar in size and growth pattern to the OG Kush. I'm thinking the genetics play a role here, possibly an indica-dominant strain. Curious to see its development. Super Lemon Haze: Also looking strong and healthy. All three of these new additions are already showing faster growth compared to OG Kush at the same age. I’ve been carefully monitoring VPD, pH levels, and watching for pests like fungus gnats and fruit flies. I’m using sticky traps, mosquito bits, and neem oil to keep things under control, which has been effective so far. This being my first grow, I’ve learned a ton already from working with the older plants—OG Kush and Gorilla Skittles—and I’m now applying those lessons to the newer ones. I’ll admit, having five plants with different genetics might be a bit ambitious for a beginner, but I’d rather learn through hands-on trial and error than just watching videos. Again I don’t know what I’m doing however Right now, I’m feeling excited and proud. Everything is looking good—better than I expected, honestly. I can’t wait to share more updates in the coming weeks as these plants continue to develop.

12/31: They are both coming along nicely.👍 Today was the first day in which I fed them some Big Bloom and Boomerang along with humic acid, pH'd to 6.1. 1/3: I've been letting them dry out a bit for the last two days. They've got roots coming out the bottoms now...I'll probably transplant them into 5 gallon fabric pots tomorrow or the next day. I ordered a 4' 180w tube light with 578 LEDs..it has a 360 degree beam with 3000k and a bunch of 660nm. It's waterproof, so no worries about keeping it beneath my canopy to illuminate the lower branches and hopefully increase the density of those buds that never get much top-lighting. Today, I mounted my two new 24w UVA LED lights (395-405nm) to my frame. I'll run them 6 hours a day from the time I put the plants into my closet, until harvest. It is my understanding that exposure to UVA, particularly during the vegetative stage, triggers many different plant defense hormones, which speed growth and can increase heartiness to withstand constant exposure to UVB without suffering as much cellular damage as usual. I'm also ordering a 2' Solacure FlowerPower UVB (285nm-310nm) next week to use during flowering to stress the plants and increase trichome production. 1/4: I did a few foliar feedings with big bloom and fulvic acid today. 1/5: Transplanting day. I dusted their roots with magic dust and transplanted them into 5 gallon pots today. I had some excellent compost with biochar and myco that I mixed into their soil, too. I watered them in with about 2 quarts of their first taste of full strength veg nutes, plus mycorrhizal fungi, trichoderma, beneficial bacteria, and humic acid, then I sprayed them with biotabs boomboom spray when finished. The were moved into the closet under the quantum boards, UVA's, and a pair of MiracleLED blue bulbs. I'll start adding far-red spectra to the equation in the next few days.

This grow was incredible—hands down the most enjoyable in years! The harvest may not be massive as I’m still fine-tuning my system, but it’s more than enough for me. The aroma is phenomenal, absolutely mouthwatering, and brought tears to my eyes while trimming. I’m thrilled to taste the final product!

I'd say last two weeks for most of my girls :) I started lowering the EC and starting to flush during this week. I've deciced to cut one of the girls early because I have nothing to smoke. It was crowded anyway so at least I made some more roome for the giant one which probably takes like 3 maybe 4 more weeks. Some trichomes looked cloudy so I think it wont be too bad even a bit early harvested. I have done some sampling and it looks very dense, FINALLY! most of my previous grows were not very dense but this looks just perfect. Cant wait for the later harvest and also next grow :) SOrry I didnt really take good pictures, was a bit lazy this week :) aloha see you next time

Strawberry Gorilla Auto - FastBuds Welcome to week 11 of my grow diary, which is also the last week. As predicted last week, the weather has become even warmer. The heat has now completely taken over the house, and it has also rained for a few days, causing the humidity to rise again. Unfortunately, this led to mold forming on one shoot, so I decided to take action. Normally, the plant could have stayed in place for another 1-2 weeks for my needs, but I didn't want to take any risks and harvested it in week 11. Overall, I was satisfied with the growth of the plant. Environmental conditions are unpredictable in summer and more difficult to control than in winter/spring. I was able to gain more experience with this grow and now know that I should take a break in summer from now on. I really liked the mainlining. Before, I topped above node 2 and left 4 main shoots. With 2 main shoots, it is much easier to work with and does not require as much defoliation as with 4. I will definitely use this technique again in the future. Here's some initial feedback on the Strain "Strawberry Gorilla Auto" from FastBuds and the Organic Starter Kit from Advanced Nutrients: The plant grew really well and has enormous potential. The buds were so swollen towards the end that I was amazed. The organic fertilizer from Advanced Nutrients probably also had an influence. This was my very first purely organic grow, and I think I can be satisfied with the result. I can wholeheartedly recommend the fertilizer. I will definitely use it again in future projects and will probably do a comparison grow between the mineral and organic starter kits. Avg. Temperature - 27°C Avg. Humidity - 68% Avg. VPD - 1,16kPA The lamp runs at 60% which is 356w according to the energy meter. At a distance of 20cm the plant gets around 950-1100ppfd. Thank you for following me so far.
