Flush And freezy

Well here we are, finally reaping the rewards of a successful grow. I think the nugs are denser than the mother plant had, but the yield was lower than expected considering the mom was 4oz. This strain can handle a lot of stress but it seems she burns pretty easy in flower from nutes.

📆 Week 4, 12-18 May 2024 12 May - Upgraded light to ViparSpectra XS1500Pro. 13-14 May - Observed the plant. 15 May - Plant shows first pistils. 16-18 May - Observed and let the plant grow. 📑 It was time to upgrade my light and it was an easy choice to stay with ViparSpectra. In my opinion, for small tents and the home grower they are the brightest lights available on the market. The only problem with the *2024 new versions are the dimmer switches. They limit how you can adjust the power: 5, 25, 50, 75 and 100% are the only settings, nothing in between. If you are trying to “dial” in your DLI/PPFD it makes it impossible without adjusting light height, which is quite cumbersome comparatively. Your forced to work around an issue which should have never been one! The plant is showing its first pistils this week. This doesn’t mean its in flower. There is no bud formation yet, she is just letting you know she is female. It could be another 2-3 weeks or longer before buds start developing. Right now she is still in a veg state so no changes will be to a nutrient schedule that reflect a flowering stage. 🍶 12 May nutrient solution changed 🍽️ 12 May feeding schedule updated 💧 Using reverse osmosis water with EC/TDS at 0 🐉 Nutrient solution EC 1.7 at 70 degrees F 🔆 Light power at 50%, DLI 28 canopy coverage at 18hrs 😤 Using PYPABL, Air Pump, 400GPH That is it for this week. Keeping an eye on her for any signs of stress. Transplanted to a 3 gallon pot on 4/18. Dirt settled more than I anticipated therefore had some extra space on top of he pot, hence the crease. I have been using 25% of the light intensity up to today which I increased now to 50%. No nutrients have been added so far. Will be looking into LST by next week since at the moment when I bend the plant some leaves touch the dirt. Also got a new sensor for temperature a humidity that allows you to see trends thru the day.

Another week of flower in the books. The Afghani x Mac1 auto is finally starting to get some terp production and smelling like exotic fruit...papaya leaning. She's drinking water multiple times a day, and I've honestly stopped measuring. I give her water when she's light, and that's about twice a day. She was also top dressed this week with 1tsp of 284 bloom and 1tbsp of guano.

The mystery cookie males have been topped,and I will reveg them, mom is all alone, and able to stretch out a bit with more light. Temps and humidity is stable. 05/16/2018 5weeks into flowering MYSTERY COOKIE males are removed, Captains cake heavily fertilized by the twins. Mom's last day in sunlight look at her colors 05/21/2018 End of week 5 flowering, getting more outdoor pics natural daylight, very sparkly hope my camera picks them up!

Day 63: Moving right along. Her buds smell like sour candy, it's really inviting. I'm sure the terps will keep evolving as well. Nearing the end here, very excited for this harvest! Day 66: I'm very happy with the bud growth so far, nothing more to say! Grow on. Day 67: Watered another 4L of ph'd tap water. Checked trichomes and I don't see that much amber. Lots clear trichs still and some cloudy on the more developed bud sites. Day 69: Took some pics and a video under natural light today to show off her colors and man does she look phenomenal. The buds look like fruity pebbles and smell sweet and dank. Some more fan leaves are developing some orange colors which leads me to believe that her fade is starting soon. Cannot wait for this harvest!

Week 8 Water only at 800ml lowering the lights on temps to 22c (70f) let see if we can get the purple senescence this 5g has been threatening and we know the Velvet Octane will finish with. Every girl is finishing nicely, FROSTY AF, and the smells are fantastic and sweet and slap you in the face the moment you open the tent. These girls are just getting photogenic so more to come next week.

The temperatures, humidity, and watering volume(if measured) in grow conditions are all averaged for the week. The pH is soil pH. Any watering done by me is well water which is 7.6 pH and 50° F. Any listed nutrients are ml/gallon of soil. Day 1 we had rain the previous night and intermittently throughout the day. Temperatures were in the low 70's with cloudy skies. Day 2 we had clear skies sunshine. Temperatures were in the low 80's. Day 3 we had partly cloudy skies, low humidity, and temps in the lower 80's. I watered about 1.5 gallons from the hose. Day 4 we had lite showers in the morning, partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the low 80's the remainder of the day. Day 5 we had showers in the early morning until afternoon. Then it was mostly sunny with high temperature around 79. Day 6 we had lots of sunshine and temperatures in the low 80's. I watered about 2 gallons from the water hose today. Day 7 it was mostly sunny with temperatures reaching 82°. This week was successful. The plants nearly doubled in height. They've weathered all the rain and are thriving.
